Hasta El Fin Del Mundo #30:

Hola Amiguis: Sofia is on her way to Brasil. Before she goes Pato is wanting some sugar. She goes to kiss his cheek and gets a whiff of perfume. She asks Pato why that is. Ahem there were two women in this meeting and also Sivana When he says Silvana she gets a funny look on her face. She ends up going. Here is the earworm for Chava and SofieHow Do I Live

Sofie goes home and has a chat with Alexa She gives Alexa her check for her work on the Chica Ripoll campaign. Sofia wants her to give up this pipe dream of going back to Spain and to stay here and work for her at Ripoll. She compliments Alexa on her creativity and talent. I also think that Sofie is on to Alan.

Alexa goes to see Dani next, and tells her about her convo with Sofie. Dani says that Sofia gives good advice. Dani is actually studying, who knew.

MIguelina has a chat with Lucas. He is liking his work at Ripoll and has found a brother kind of there named Mittias, and yes, he has a novia, but he doesn't say who.

Chava and Sofie are having a sad goodbye. She will miss him, as he will miss her, but she has a new job for him while she's gone, he'll be under Pato's thumb, well not that, but he will be working for Pato. Poor Chava doesn't like it but Sofie assures him it will be alright, yeah right Oh, and Pato will be taking Sofie to the airport, more's the pity.

                                                    They are so darn cute.

We find out what is wrong with Don Paco, he has Angina. They will treat it by change in diet and meds. If he's good he should be okay, if the pain comes back he'll have to have a stent put in. He must avoid stress at all costs. Qick someone tell Irma to go away. Lupe tells Paco this would be a good time to call his daughter Aracely, this is the woman that was Chava's ex novia that moved to Moneterry. Irma is there in the room too, and also thinks Aracely should know. He'd rather rely on Lupe who has a heart of gold.

Now do what the doc told you to do, big guy.

Irma goes home in time to hear Armie talking to Alexa by phone. She has called to see how Nando is doing, he's doing better, Irma is not pleased to hear this. He also asks Alexa if he needs come pick her up. Nopis, Now Irma gets on Armie's case and he asks her exactly what she was doing when the school called her Rolling of the eyes.

Listen, stay away from Don Paco and as a matter of fact, take a vacay so we don't have to berate you as much, jus' sayin'

Mattias has come to Lupe's for dinner and scares Marisol half to death cause he is wearing some type of either gorilla slippers or bear claw slippers and roots through the fridge when Marisol catches him He is taking Chava's dinner fom the fridge Finally Lupe comes home from the hospital She tells Marisol to leave Mattias be. She tells them about Don Paco and Mattias is missing the Maestro and Marisol thinks he's crazy talking to dead people. He belongs in the manicomio. Anyhoo, Mattias gets to eat, and spend the night. In Chava's room. Where Chava dicovers him later, Mattias says they can share the bed, but Chava is not up for that. He also tells Mattias that while Sofie is gone he will be working for Pato. I didn't hear what Matthias told him.

Fausto and Greta have gone to an art opening and they are really enjoying themsleves I must say. They meet some woman named Isadora and Greta likes the way she thinks. I think she is a fakey. Greta gives her name and now the woman lights up like a Christmas Tree. She ends up going.

Later Greta and Fausto sre at home and Alan has a show for Greta. it's a photo of a duchess in Spain that Alan is in. This Alan chachacter is reminding me of Macarina from Pobres, she too took picutures with the royalty from Spain. Now Greta is under the misguided impression tht Alan is a duke. She is bowing to LIttle Lord Fauntleroy and tells Fasuto they can ask that new lady Iradora they just met. Alexa is really worried and tells Alan to stop it. He thinks this all fun and games. Alexa not so much cause when Greta fiinds out it is curtains for Alan.

Chava has begun working for Pato, he looks like the new office gofer, Probrecito! He has a huge stack of files and has stopped to eat a Torta.

Sofie is doing really well with her bidnez meetings in Sao Paulo. Later in her hotel room, what is this? Has Chava taken a trip to Sao Paulo? Nopis, it's Chava and Sofie using their telepathy. They miss each other muchly.

Oh and Chava and Armie have a convo about going back to racing a soon as his house sells. They will fix Patato and get going

What is Pato doing? Doing the sex olympics with Silvana of course, is he missing Sofie not so much! Sivlie is even callin him her tesoro. So what's the plan Pato, it commences manana, wait for it.

AVANCES :

I will be deliberately vague with the avances cause 1. I have learned with Televisa never to trust them and 2. They are meant to deliberately mislead. I will let our wonderful X INT tell you the true skinny.

Good Afternoon Y'all

Here is the recap. Please enjoy.

Madelaine, Patrick is really determined to have Chava sent to prison.

Madelaine - Fab recap. Thanks for the fun.

I'm going to bet that whatever Pato has planned for Chava is going to backfire. Sofia knows Chava would never betray her.

Even I could see Alan had photo-shopped his mug in with the Spanish royals. Have Greta and Fausto lost it?

Favorite scene: Chava telling Matias no way was he sharing his bed with him like back in the day when they were kids.

So Paco's daughter is Chava's ex girlfriend. Which means Sofia is her sister IF Sofia is also his daughter. IF Chava has slept with Aracely, this may cause an awkward family reunion. Hmmmm this TN might be about to get interesting.

It is a beautiful, sunny day here and just a tiny bit brighter due to your recap Madelaine.

"He must avoid stress at all costs. Quick someone tell Irma to go away" as was "Listen, stay away from Don Paco and as a matter of fact, take a vacay so we don't have to berate you as much, jus' sayin'".

Fantastic screen shots.

I have to say that Chava and Sofia "mooning" over each other was touching and actually believable. Chava seems to be able to provide what Sophia so lacks in her life - laughter, sweetness and caring. Now that she has seen him in action (so to speak) as a race car driver, he's added another dimension to his personality. There is excitement and exhileration as well.

OK, I am crazy about Matias. I laughed at the slippers and find this character utterly charming. I smile every time he is on the screen...

Isadora and her airs did not impress me either. Have to give her props though for not condescending to Fausto. She wisely noted his role and influence was not what one might initially suspect.

Very disappointed in Greta. At the onset, I thought she was shrewd and insightful. Was that only concerning Pato. To see she now believes Alan's lie about the duke is absurd.

I'm guessing Arecely might show up and fight for Chava. Maybe a little competition might be exactly what Sophia needs to light a fire under her.

Madelaine, thank you for the screen shots and another marvelous recap.

Diana

Thanks much for the recaps, and particularly to Madelaine for today's as I missed the episode due to a social engagement.

I understand that Chava doesn't have the look of someone with wholly European descent, and doesn't comport with international standards of beauty the way Pato or Paco may, but having been somewhat surprised, and disappointed, at the vehemence with which some on the blog have disparaged his looks, I wanted to specially thank you for the photo caption with Sophia and Chava, acknowledging them both and/or together as cute.

Chris in FL

Chris in FL, I am one of the people who have "disparaged" Chava looks. For that I do not apologize. As I've stated before, I believe that a woman like Sofia could fall in love with a man that looks like Chava over time. What I don't believe is her reaction to him at first sight. I don't believe that 20 women would chase him down and argue about who gets to kiss him. I don't believe that Silvanna would be telling Patrick how handsome Chava is. No matter what the show wants us to believe we still have eyes.

Chava's character is supposed to be a gorgeous man. Listen to his description when the other characters talk about him. His body is supposed to be Devine. He is a lady's man. That is why Sofia is always staring at him and the character is caught undressed a lot. This show is describing a Mazeratti, but showing us a Yugo with a "great heart".

Mads, thank you for the wonderful recap with another great ear worm.

At least Sofía noticed the smell of women's perfume on Pato and made him explain it. Maybe she is starting to wake up. His explanation was weak. The trip to São Paolo should do her good.

Yes, Mads, con man Alan is very reminiscent of that con woman Macarena from QPTR. Excellent observation. I, too wonder if Isadora will end up another fake. I thought it was quite funny isadora saying that Greta lived in " la achocolatada opulencia" "chocolate opulence." Fausto looked like he was taken in too. He said she was "mysterious."

Paco was home from the hospital and still being a curmudgeon. His character is so annoying.

Diana, I agree that Greta is proving to be much more gullible than one would have expected. Alan related to the royal Spanish family. Curtseying? Really?

Chris, I am with you and always thought Chava is just fine the way he is. Plus, he is a good guy! He and Sofía are so cute together.

As Chava was walking along approaching the window where he would find the "vision"of Sofía, he was reading love messages in Spanish written on the walls.
The first one said "Kiss me, I'll explain it to you afterwards." Then "Prove that you love me. Look at me through this window." Frankly, I was worried for a second about what he might see in the window, but it all turned out okay because Sofía was looking through her magical window, too. His best quote "Dreaming costs you nothing." Too cute!

I loved Sofía getting into the back seat as if Pato, were the chauffeur. He seemed a little miffed.

So Pato says when Sofía returns their beloved chauffeur won't be so beloved or her chauffeur any more. Looks like Pato is ready to roll on that one and is losing no time at all.

Dulce Amor - Marcos se baña y Victoria lo ve.: http://youtu.be/Kg63Yo6kUwE

Shower scene between "Chava" and "Sophia" in Duke Amor.

I would stare at him too.

Patrick may also go to further extremes to destroy Chava...maybe start targeting Chava's family.

Conservative Democratic:

Oh, Pato can try but he won't get away with it.

Neice:

Thank you kindly:

I agree with you, Pato really didn't think this thru. Greta and Fausto know him pretty well and will never buy the ladron tad and neither will Sofie. I also agree with you about that photo shopped picture and I too think Greta and Fausto have lost their minds.

Cynderella:

I thought about that too, but to give Chava credit he is so unaware and also I don't think Chava has slept with Aracely.

Diana:

Thsnk you most kindly. Mattias always cracks me up, I had to laugh at those slippers. And Chava finding him in his bed, too funny. I want Mattias to find a place.

Cris in Fl:

Thank you kindly and you are most welcome! That's what drew me to this TN. Chava may not be the handsomest guy on earth but he is charming and delightful and I have to say, these writers went out of the norm here. I love it. Never Judge a book by it's cover I always say. There is more to a person than in the looks department. I can't stand Pato, but I do like Armie. He's a lot like chava. Chava and Sofie are so very cute together. I crack up everytime Pato is trying to get some sugar from Sofie and she basically kicks him to the curb. So funny.

Jarifa:

Thank you kindly and thanks for the translation what what was written on the window. I loved tht whole scene. They are so connected by telepathy. Oh, yeah, Sofie was like really dude when he said it was the two women in the room, and then Silvana too, really dude and that traveled to your neck? Oh, I hope Sofie remembers what Pato said. Pato can try but he won't get away with it. Everyone especially Greta and Fausto will never buy it.

Cynderella:

When we were recapping AV that was a remake of a Columbian and and Argentian TN. They changed the characters and storylines. I want to see what they do here.

I don't think that Salvador/Chava
is all that handsome but I must say that while watching bits and pieces [mostly during dinner] of this novela. I think that Sofia and Chava make for one cute couple
I love the paring of these two.

Another fight between the two oldest sisters. Boy these two can go at it.

This looks good, I'm enjoying the
bits and pieces that I have seen.
the gringo

Mads, all I'm suggesting is that if you listen to how all the other characters on THIS telenovela describe Chava, they are not describing what we see. I am quoting the character from the MEXICAN version not the other versions. Based on the descriptions of the MEXICAN characters, Chava is an Adonis, but we are seeing Danny Devito. That's all I'm saying.

As funny and cute as Mattias is in this telenovela, I can't stop remembering him as that wife-beating thug in Amores Verdaderos. Maybe this is the attraction of these novelas. You see familiar actors in entirely different roles in these new shows.

Has anyone noticed that Marjorie De Sousa looks like Evita in this photograph?

PF and DO should have exchanged roles. You're right, Cynderella, every time someone describes or refers to the handsome chofer, my mind automatically goes to Armando! Now THERE is a man who can make me stare at him for days! The square-bodied, big-headed, lantern-jawed Dudley DoRight looking Fernandez does not do a thing for me. I don't care how sweet, caring and cute he is. My opinion and I'm sticking to it.

Gobluefan, I do remember "Matias" in AV - what a difference. He was also a despicable con artitst in Destilando Amor.

I am so enjoying his character here - he has really been a wonderful surprise. And yes, it's a great testament to actors who are able to portray good or evil characters equally as well.

Diana

Cynderella, thanks for the Dulce Amor clip. That guy is a hunk.

Maybe the writers neglected to rewrite that women go for Chava for his charm, instead of his looks. Sexiness was played up in the DA shower scene, but humor was played up a lot more in the Hasta shower scene.

Mads- So sorry I didn't comment earlier. I did not get a chance to catch up on this show, so your recaps were much appreciated. Thanks, amiga.

I think the writers have done a good job of showing that Sofia's life lacked warmth, cheeriness, spontaneity, and fun-- all things that Chava has brought into her life. It's pretty obvious why she's so attracted to him, and not hot bod, yet cold blooded, Pato.
