Mi Corazon es Tuyo #38, 10 Sep 2014... Witch Mother moves in the house and acts all entitled... Bruno and Manuela start suffering... Fer and IsaBruja are enjoying their honey-gloom...

Refrito:

At Mansion:

Diego trying to convince Ana that Nico will understand her situation and won’t cause trouble with Fer. Ana not so sure. Diego even offers to carry her and take her in his bike… she passes on the first, takes his offer on the latter. She does not want to be too late so Ino-Doro won’t cause her more trouble.

At club:

Nico arrives, Dana (Jen’s friend) greets him. Diego joins them… tells Nico ‘wait till you see THE show’. At dressing room, Ana checks on Jen and her treatments. Ana is doing ok… Jen is getting some skin discoloration. Still bringing up the subject of ‘that which has no remedy’ (her not being able to have kids)

At Cozumel (I will be there in Nov as a stop in a cruise trip) Isa is doing her best to seduce Fer… he seems to be willing and follows along, even though the one doing all the ‘love you’ talking is IsaBruja.

(CUT!!!  Fer sees an image of Ana very nicely dressed, questioning his having told her 'I love you’ vs what he is doing now)

Isa tries to get him to come back to earth… he asks her for a moment… he is a bit ‘out of it’. And spits his favorite word of late… ‘perdoname’. (sorry). Then he walks away… Isa is a bit confused, a bit miffed.

At Club:

Ana talks on microphone… says her true name, instantly calling Nico’s attention. Nico is in disbelief. Diego tells Jen ‘no worries, I talked to Ana ‘bout this’. Ana confirms to Nico it is the one and only… She tells the crowd that here is a person she admires and respects… and even asks for an applause for Nico. Then she mentions that Jennis just came out of a serious illness ‘I love you sis!’ and then she tells the crowd that she twisted her ankle… but she will give the audience her best effort… welcome to Chicago!

Jen explains to Nico that she could not tell him that she and Ana have known each other a long time… Jen asks Nico for forgiveness for the little lie…’I will think about it’ (but with a wide smile on his face).

Ana does her show, this time it is Diego who does not miss a beat of it (Fer did it a while back) and she is better than ever… very high on the pole, upside down and spinning around on her legs… Even Ino-Doro is very pleased with her performance tonight.

At Cozumel:

Isa is on a giant hammock… asking Fer if he feels good about the baby will have 7 enchanting siblings… he is smiling and trying to be as charming as possible… but not quite 100%.

At Club:

Diego is in Ana’s dressing room… Ana tells Diego she can tell he is about to offer to pay the debt or do silly stuff like that ‘if you want “our thing” to work out’ (that is pretty much all Diego heard… and he called her on it… saying she said it so pretty, saying “our thing” sounded so …. Ana asks if it really sounded that way…

At Mansion:

Fanny is restless, drinking some milk… Ana and Diego arrive… Ana can tell Fanny is not doing well. Fanny asks Diego what he thinks of Ana’s dancing. ‘spectacular!’ I could watch her all night… all my life.

Fanny asks Diego for advice… ‘has it happened to you that when you believe you have found the right person to share your whole life with… something seems to ruin it all’ (ouch! That hit too close to home!)

Fanny says never thought I would love that much. Diego tries to undermine her worries… maybe its not anything important. (ya think???) Fanny says it feels awful to feel that your boyfriend lies to you all the time… they ask if she has asked Leon… yes, but he won’t say anything… that’s the problem!

Meanwhile, At Lion’s den:

Leon still arguing with Tamara… we learn that she had been away for a whole year… but Leon has an overly irritable attitude… like he is clear of fault in the whole matter… he still can’t forgive her.

At Cozumel:

Isa and Fernando are in bed (he has tee-shirt on) about options for delivery… natural vs c-section. He says you choose. He apologizes for not giving her the honeymoon she dreamed/wished for. She says we are together, and that’s all that matters… (yawn…, Ana would be soooo much more original… how about a naked pillow fight? Or getting messy with honey, hot fudge, whipped cream… etc etc…)

She acknowledges that he did not propose to her for love, but to give their baby the family it deserves. He tries again… and from the camera panning away and then back at them naked with her sleeping, we conclude he was able to ‘perform’ this time. But she is sleeping and he is wide awake thinking of Ana…

At Mansion:

Ana is also in bed thinking of Fer… remembering when she asked him if he ever felt anything for her… and his response ‘I loved you’.

Next morning…

Ana has her hands full at breakfast… Sebastian has declared war on Alicia and she is not one to take it quietly without rebuttal… and then the twins go at each other as well. Nando is taking the role of his dad… yelling at them. Ana gets Alicia to sit, but Sebastian just storms out miffed.

Back to Cozumel…

Fer is walking outside, sighs… she is still sleeping… finally wakes up. He says ‘good morning’ in mayan. She is hungry… he already ordered breakfast. They get a bit charming… he has the breakfast ready for her outside the room… very nice place, I must say… he is more than willing to please her… she keeps charming him and saying he is all she wants… (kissy kissy)… (but nothing like the wild wide open kisses he had with Ana)

At Mansion:

The Bruja Major arrives with all her boxes (ready to move in right away). Bruno can’t stop her… she shouts ‘the new owner of this house arrived!!’

At Margarita’s:

Fanny arrives and asks a surprised Margarita if she knows what is the beef with Leon… he is acting strange (then Fanny realizes Margarita has a picture of Mao in her hands)… who is that boy?

Back to Mansion:

Manuela asks about all the things… ‘they are Mrs Yolanda’s’, responds Bruno. Yolanda not about to wait for his formal introductions.

Back to Margarita’s:

Margarita claims the photo is Leon when he was little. She just found it. Fanny asks her again about Leon’s attitude. She feels Leon is holding something important from her. Fanny calls on the fact that once Leon told her that Margarita had predicted they would have problems as a couple… Marga won’t spill the beans… She asks the photo ‘why didn’t you tell Fanny the truth? She will find out … and then… it will be over’.

At mansion:

Bruno (holding his hand by his side as if he had ulcer pains from just imagining the future) announces to Ana that Bruja Major is moving to the house. Ana puts deer in the headlights eyes. Bruno and Manuela are both tired and sweating bringing all of Yolanda’s ‘stuff’ upstairs. Bruno notices Ana is very sad… and asks her what is wrong… She begins a list for him…

It is everything…

Mrs Bruja Major moving in…

And then… when the honeymoon is over…

Isabella will be here too…

I don’t know if I will have the strength to withstand all of them… understand me?

He just swallows hard and nods slightly.

Back to Cozumel (now at golf course):

Fernando is giving IsaBruja a quick lesson in golf. IsaBruja’s phone rings… it is Bruja Major… whinning that her room is terrible. As she keeps nagging about the ‘room that the useless butler assigned me’ (Ana is holding Manuela from beating more acceptance into Bruja Major)… Bruja Major wants Isa to talk to Fernando, at least so he will replace her furniture and carpet. Isa nags that she is in her honeymoon and the last thing she wants to do is talk to my mother (Bruja M is astounded that Isa hung up on her).

Bruja M keeps confronting all service, calling Manuela ‘one of the maids’… daring Manuela to not engage in a fight with her ‘you don’t know how it will go for you’. Bruno comes and tries to play ‘peacemaker’. He gets called ‘mecero de pacotilla’ as a thank you.

At Cozumel:

Fer asks Isa what is up with her mom… she didn’t like her room… in OUR house… (he has a brief second take on what he just heard, pointing fingers back and forth in signal of repeating the ‘our…’ ) ‘well! And what is it she did not like??’ Isa explains it was about the furniture… He offers that Bruja M can get new furniture and he will pay, no worries. Isa jumps to hug/kiss him…

At La Costena offices:

Fanny arrives asking for Leon. Betty says he is doing a delivery. Ready to begin working at the company? Fanny says she does not really want to do business admin work but her dad asked her to get busy on something so… and she does not want to have any more arguments with him… Betty suggests she enter into a rotational program they have in the company, that way she will get to know different areas of the business… Fanny is willing to give it a try… (Fanny is paying more attention to spotting Leon around).

At mansion:

Manuela is releasing some steam with Ana about Bruja M… Diego comes in and wants in on the gossip. He learns that Bruja M just installed herself in this house… Diego thinks it is becoming a bit crowded in here. Phone rings… Ana answers. It is the school, needs Ana to come in today… seems Sebas failed 5 subjects at school. Diego asks for confirmation but does not seem that worried.

At Cozumel:

Fernando is showing IsaBruja the yatch… you will love it… does it have a name yet? … Yes! Fanny!... (Isa is not a happy camper, but Fernando is totally clueless that it could bother his wife… well, yes, Bruja! you not only have to struggle with the nanny at home but with his memories of the perfect wife he had...)

At La Costena:

Betty tells Leon that Fanny came looking for him. His phone rings. It is Margarita to tell him what Fanny came for. She did not tell Fanny anything but does not like lying. He thanks her for keeping the secret. She tells him Fanny is a good girl, you have to fix the issue. He tells her that Tamara came back with Mauricio. She is very surprised. (All this is within listening distance from Betty, at least what Leon says). Betty asks him who is Tamara. Leon tells her ‘my wife.’ Betty is ready to pick her jaw off the floor…

At school:

Nando and Ximena are saying goodbyes… they separate and some boys approach Nando (the same boys who had the accident with him) and ask whether it bothers him that Ximena has slept with half the boys in the school. The question takes Nando by surprise just briefly but he does not waste another breath to say ‘no, it doesn’t bother me. That was long ago.’ They insist in the subject.. he asks ‘didn’t you promise you would not bully me anymore?’ they claim it is not bullying. They try to make Nando believe she still does it… that was enough strings pulled and Nando attacks one of them… he is still in denyal. ‘ask anyone around!’

At La Costena:

Leon seems to be willing to give Betty some explanations…

L:‘Fanny was…. Well, … is my dream come true, Betty. To get a girl like her to notice me… was just about impossible.’

B: But why did you never tell Fanny about it?

L: Because I never thought I would see Tamara or my son again. Now, imagine that the first time Fanny went out with the ‘mensajerito’, if I had told her ‘oh by the way I am married and have a son’… she would have sent me packing right then and there!

B: Well, but what are you going to do now??

L: No idea.

At school:

The principal or teacher shows Ana Sebastian’s grades and asks Ana if she knows what is going on since Sebas was such a great student. Ana agrees with her and says maybe it is because his dad just got re-married.

At Cozumel:

As Fernando is oiling up IsaBruja, she brings up the subject of Alicia wanting a huge party for her quinceanera. Fernando thinks the ‘big party’ is frivolous. But when IsaBruja says she is excited to help Alicia plan it, and that it is an opportunity to bond with her, Fernando gives in…

At mansion:

All the kids get home and Ana needs to talk to Sebas… Alicia and Sebas continue their word battles but Ana finally gets Sebas alone. Ana tells Sebas what she learned at school. What is the matter? Is it your dad’s wedding to IsaBruja? (Diego has come in the door and is listening to the convo, but they don’t know he is there) Ana says all she wants to do is to help him, but if he won’t open up to her, then she will have to ask his dad to take care of... Sebas (with a very irritable attitude) tells her his dad is too busy with his new wife, and if he can do whatever he pleases, then I (Sebas) can too!. He shakes off Ana’s attempt to grab him. On his way up the stairs he stops, turns around and yells that from now on he will do as he pleases… (All this time Diego has had a facial expression of amusement, possibly even seeing himself as a kid in Sebastian… with the same attitude of rebellious brat)

Diego sits down by Ana and explains that Sebas is in the ‘rebel’ age period… Ana claims it is beyond that, as if they had thrown a bucket of cold water on a gremlin and it transforms into … Diego says ‘also, he is very resentful toward my brother… furthermore, let me remind you there is always a rebel in the family (pointing to himself)’. Diego reveals to Ana that his dad often got called by the school because he was acting up… and that his dad often told him that he was disappointed in him, and that compared to his brother Fernando, he was a disaster. (Ana is very surprised at hearing this, the patio… not so much).

Nico learns from Bruno that Yolanda moved in… and his first thought is to take off running… Bruno gets a giggle about that… ‘I don’t blame you’. .. Nico notes ‘don’t know what it is she sees in me’ (me thinks it is green and has a lot of zeroes in it). But Nico wants to talk to Bruno about something different. Tells Bruno about his initial request to Jennifer to move in together, but she said no… he thinks the issue was in his approach to ask… and now that Fernando got married, he thinks weddings are very important for EVERY woman… Bruno asks if he is thinking of proposing to Jennifer. Bingo! Yup.

Back to Diego/Ana:

Diego agrees, that Ana needs to bring Fernando up on this issue. Ana concerned that ‘la tarant…’ eeehhh IsaBruja will think Ana wants to cut short her honeymoon. Diego blackmails Ana into offering he will talk to Fernando but it will cost Ana a ‘dinner date’. Ana agrees as long as it’s a ‘simple place’. He offers to pay, all he needs is her company. They hear Bruja M calling for a ‘waiter’ from upstairs. Bruja M comes down the stairs asking if there is no decent service staff in this household. Nico translates for Bruno that she means the butler… Bruno asks ‘what sin from my earlier life am I paying now?’…

Ana offers to ‘attend to’ Bruja M. Diego is smiling all the time, probably being entertained at Bruja M’s attitude. But Bruja M totally ignores Ana’s offer and keeps yelling for a ‘waiter’. Ana makes the universal gesture with her arms of ‘I give up!’.

Nico tells Bruno that he needs to go attend to her.

Ana repeats her offer, and this time Bruja M tells her she wants a Margarita.

Bruno comes out. Bruja M asks him what are his functions in the house. He says he is the butler… Bruja M says ‘attend to the owners of the house… Bruja M asks him to make her a margarita. He tries to talk his way out of it… but Bruja M just adds on ‘botanas’ (appetizers) to take to her at the garden. ‘did you get that or should I draw you a map?? … is everything ready for me to sunbathe??... get going! One two! One two!!’ (Bruno stands behind her and makes the cut-throat and then the shooting hand gesture before going on to the kitchen). Diego keeps enjoying the show.

At school:

Ximena joins Nando… he seems to be a bit sad and she knows it. He tells her some folks told him something about her… and it has ticked him off… ‘have you slept with a lot of boys from the college?’ (she just turns her back to him, like not wanting to get on that subject at all).

At garden, Bruno brings the Margarita to Bruja M… of course she spits it and whines about it being just lemon and salt… she asks him about the appetizers. He will ask Manuela for them. Bruja M says make sure she does not put rat poison in them, after what happened earlier. He is leaving and she calls him back… she wants him to fan her for a while… ‘what for?’ ‘that is your problem, not mine!’ (I would suggest, Bruno, that you get some of the pica-pica powder from the boys and sprinkle it on a hand fan and fan her with it.).. he fans himself with the silver tray as he says he will go find a fan (electric fan). She compliments that finally his ‘coco’ (brain) lit up.. He is about to fan the silver tray right on her forehead but stops himself short and walks away. Once he is gone, she whines ‘oy.. these maids…’

Back to school:

Ximena argues loudly with Nando. She gets defensive and yells at him that it is true, and she assumes he wants to break up with her for it. He has to follow her around and yell at her several times that he never meant to break up with her. She finally stops her yelling and tells him (still loud) that she ‘did it ‘ because she thought they liked her. But that all they wanted was to sleep with her ‘like you want now!’ (she drives away mad, almost running over another guy).

Back to Cozumel:

Fernando’s phone rings, he says it is from the house. IsaBruja immediately assumes it is Ana and starts to get sourgrapes face… Diego tells Fernando that Ana needs to talk to him. Fernando gets angry already asking if Ana is now using Diego as her phone attendant… Ana says it is about Sebastian. He is alright but.. Fernando immediately gets sarcastic asking if it is important enough for her to use Diego to call… she explains that she did not want to chance that Isa would answer the phone, like the other day, remember?? She goes on saying (and we get a triple screen take of Ana, Fernando and IsaBruja separately) she did not mean to interrupt his honeymoon because she is sure he is having a great time, rather delicious… Fernando does not appreciate the irony so he gets louder and angrier, even using some cursing demanding to know what is up with Sebas… all he gets is for Ana to hang up on him in response. (cute blue phone… can I have one?) Diego is thoroughly amused and surprised at her attitude. Ana puts deer in the headlights eyes, with face asking him if she messed up or overdid it…

Previews:

VO: Ana confronts the biggest decision of her life… (Luz asking her with tears in her eyes if when IsaBruja returns, Ana will leave… are you going to leave me?? (Ana is moved with tears in her eyes as well).

Thanks, Marta, for your wonderfully detailed recap.

Guess it should have been no surprise that Fernando was finally able to have sex with Isabela. He found her attractive enough at least once before.

Surprisingly Isabela has real insight into exactly why Fernando married her. Unfortunately, I think that makes her more attractive to Fernando rather than less attractive.

León answering "I don't know" to Betty's question "What are you going to do now?" after she finds out he is married and Fanny does not know was really inadequate. He should have said he was going to tell the truth to Fanny. He should not to have had to think that hard about it.

The double standard proved it was alive and well again with his classmates telling Nando about all of the guys Ximena has been with. Sickening.

I loved Yolanda lounging in the gardens and Bruno fanning her.

Thanks, Marta. Haven't read the recap yet but was dying to know what upset our Luz. Thanks for recapping the preview.

Nanette

Marvelous Marta! So much of this episode ticked me off, but your recap gave it a nice twist and much more humor than I was witnessing. Many thanks.

I have to admit, I just am not into the Yolanda acting like a twit routine. Right now, no one can do anything about it, but if Fer allows this attitude to continue, and throw Isa into the mix, when he comes back, that will be too much. Bruno is more than a "butler" to him and frankly, the staff deserves respect too. But Isa's "our house" doesn't bode well. Anyone else think that house is going to get a major redo--probably kind of tacky, and my guess would be the first thing to go will be Fanny Sr.'s portrait over the mantel.

WHY WHY WHY do we have to watch a Sebas rebellion? No offense to the little guy, doing his best, but he's the least talented actor of the children and this is going to be painful.

Ok, so the whole honeymoon thing. Fer can moon all he wants, but the man is clearly enjoying his new wife and NOT acting like someone who was shot-gunned into marriage. I would say he's gone from "sorry Ana" to jumping in head first into this new relationship. By day whatever it was, he was clearly acting like a typical honeymooner. Bothered the daylights out of me that he flipped the switch this fast. And if I hear have to hear one more "mi amor" our of Isa, I'm going to blow. Man, I hate that!

And then yelling at Ana more concerned about the fact that Diego called for her than the fact it was about one of his children. He deserved to be hung up on. Maybe the producers will realize as this progresses that they messed up the couples? Diego for the win....c'mon. And I don't take his smirking as more than knowing this is all going to implode soon on Fer, and he's staying close to Ana as her support since she'll need it.

That dance routine....oh my stars. I danced and did gymnastics way way back in the day...never that limber. Lordie!

Luz's plea--yeah Ana is toast. She knows how fragile that little girl is deep down, losing another mother figure so soon would affect her greatly. She will stay and endure if only for that sweet girl.

Excellent, Marta.

Bruno should have called Fernando as soon as Bruja Mayor arrived with her crap. Had her moving in ever been approved by him he would have told Bruno and given him instructions as to what to do when she arrived.

Fernando has lost his spine in the name of "doing the right thing."

Yolanda wasn't living with Isabrat for a while; it's not like she is incapable of living on her own. Isabrat's apartment is gorgeous, so there is no good reason Yolanda couldn't live in it.

Which, of course, would be yet another financial drain on Fernando.

Yolanda is so declasse that this behavior could even get on her daughter's last nerve. Total disaster if she and Fernando have to entertain clients.

Of course, when they get back from Cozumel Isabruja will blame Ana for Sebastian's problems. Or the problem that is Sebastian.

Diego is being an excellent Voice of Reason about Sebastian, but will he be rude enough to outshout Isabully when the time comes?

Marta, many thanks for the well-detailed recap. I, too, liked your recap better than watching the episode, which made me sick to see Fernando in bed (with no complaints) with Bruja Menor. I just had to fast forward.

One question though, why is Leon partially to blame for Tamara taking off and stealing their child? He might be a jerk for not telling Fanny the truth at the beginning, but we have seen no evidence that would lead us to believe that he is a bad father or husband. Tamara went incognito for over a year depriving a father of his child.

Bruno was great with:

'what sin from my earlier life am I paying now?’…

Ana better stop offering to be so helpful or she will end up being the Brujas' slave and get kicked in the behind at the same time.

Hating that Fernando is such a wimp.

UA,
Fernando has lost his spine in the name of “doing the right thing”. had me chuckling on my coffee... that is sidebar worthy.

Excellent Marta.

As uncomfortable as the episode was, I didn't see any curve balls other than Leon confessing to Betty. The reason Fernando is into this is because Isabela is perfect for the guy, doesn't matter how they got there.

Fernando - don't be jealous sugar buns, could you imagine the nanny on a golf course, p..lease

Ana - oh he's loving, touching, bathing in oil, another

Isabela - don't let mom screw this up

Leon - you don't tell a little lamb, up front, one day you'll eat it, it would run away

Betty - that punk doesn't sign your checks

Yolanda - where are the twins when we need them

Diego - the prize is falling right in my lap

Sebastian - just get to know your step mother better

Nando - smooth move

Fanny - this has never crossed your mind, I promise

Nic - wonder if she'll sign a prenup

Marta,

Thank you for the juicy recap. Nothing much resolved but the players are in place for some real fireworks.

The Oscar goes to Beatrice tonight for the look on her face when Leon told her that Tamara is his wife. And Bruno was very funny tonight with that awful Yolanda. I did think that Diego and Nico, while tremendously sympathetic to the servants, showed their true class colors when smiling at Yolanda's mistreatment nof Bruno.

I had a sinking feeing with this episode that my fears of lots of screaming, yelling and silly broncos for more than 100 episodes will come true. I so wish that Ana would leave them and get some of the action out of that house of horrors but I guess not.

Fanny (also name of the boat -- a delicious barb for Isabela to take) at La Costena will allow her to observe whatever business problems will surely arise next. Isa and La Bruja Mayor are going to tap him dry. Maybe money will become the straw . . .

Disappointed to see how quickly he fell into her arms, though the winds and warmth of Cozumel could do it. We visited about 20 years ago and it was heaven, though we didn't have Fernando's first-class accommodations!

so the name on the yatch is Fanny? ok let me fix the recap. i thought i heard him say Ana but Fanny makes more sense, since this is not a new acquisition and he really never got very far with Ana to name a yatch after her.

UA, I'm with Marta. I love your "do the right thing" comment.

Question: has anyone ever seen a reference to how many episodes this TN is expected to run, or are they making it up as they go. Sometimes, that might give us help in knowing how long the agony on some of these plots may go.

Right now, I want Leon's fessing up to happen ASAP and then let's move on. His "I have no clue" on how to handle things with Fanny is out of character for a smart young man, and the longer it goes the more it smells like plot point. She already suspects, tell her, she'll be pissed more than likely, but then the plot to make it all better can get moving.

Tofie, I like your "Fernando is into this is because Isabela is perfect for the guy, doesn't matter how they got there."

Right now, I would agree with you. She's just not right for his kids. There's our issue--so either Fer needs to become Diego and then he fits better with Ana, or let Ana stay with Diego and become the cool Auntie Ana and still be in their lives.

Oh yeah-Nando and Ximena--still don't like them together.

Bruno's "what did I do"--ask my kids, he stole that from me. That's sort of my saying when I'm in a grumbly mood.

Daisynjay

Marta, thanks so much for your recap.

If this is just the beginning of Yolanda's reign of terror, I am frightened about what happens when Isa returns. I will have to go to recap only mode as I don't want to see Ana suffer. And we know she will b/c of the kids, especially Luz.

And it will be really icky to see Fer still mooning over Ana after being intimate w/his wife.

What would happen if Luz decided not to speak to anyone but Ana?

Marta, this was fantastic.

"And spits his favorite word of late… ‘perdoname’" and "Nico notes ‘don’t know what it is she sees in me’ (me thinks it is green and has a lot of zeroes in it)" were among my favorites.

I thought you captured Leon’s culpability perfectly "but Leon has an overly irritable attitude… like he is clear of fault in the whole matter…" Exactly. In view of the fact he has lied to and deceived Fanny, I sincerely believe he is not guilt free in his situation with Tamara. That doesn't excuse her disappearing, but I would like to hear what truly transpired.

While Fernando does not love Isabel, he is and was clearly attracted. He is unaware of her true motives and how she really feels about the children. Despite his misgivings, I'm sure he wants to make his marriage work and seems to be kind and considerate to the Isabel he believes her to be. However, like you Karen, I don't want to see him pining away after Ana. At all.

Of course, Ana is alone and heartbroken and now due to Luz, will try and stay. I am sure Isa will make life a living hell for her.

Diana

Fernando doesn't act like a man forced into a loveless marriage in love with another woman. Did the passion need a kick start, yes, but they look and act like a upper crust power couple and treat each other with affection including intimate petting. This guy wants hot nanny to continue to want him and if he can score all the better but she better stop the moping and stay away from his brother. Ana got his motor running and repaired the damaged relationship between he and the kids and now needs to transition them to his choice of wife and mother, then go away.

Ana, unfortunately for her, really fell for the Fernando fantasy and paying the price and it will only get worse.

“Very clever of you to send Fernando an image of Ana in our kind of clothing, Aphrodite. That was very creative.”

“I thought so at the time, but I don't think it worked for long. It looks as though he did satisfy Isabela the following night after all.” She took a sip of nectar, which didn't taste all that wonderful at the moment.

“He is doing his duty as a husband. Many men are capable of that even when their minds lie elsewhere.”

“Hm. I guess so, Hera. But I don't like it. If a man loves one woman he should be useless to another.”

“That is certainly true, but mortals can be as intractable as we are.”

“The mortals have a most clever way to describe this. They say 'Fake it 'till you make it.' Fernando is trying to make himself love Isabela.”

“Ah, but don't they also say in his country 'El corazón no se manda'?” Hera laughed.

“They do. Those who know this are wise to our ways. But he hasn't learned that yet. It might be an easy delusion now, but not when he gets home.”

“Which will be in a few days. During which time her mother will be demoralizing the entire household. As if they don't have enough problems.”

“She can only do that as long as the others allow it. But one good thing will come of that.”

“Yes. That she will look very bad in the eyes of Don Nicolàs. And she is too naca herself to know that.”

They toasted and summoned the nymphs to bring more nectar and ambrosia.

Eli, I'm sending best wishes to you and your sister.
Marta, thanks for the powerful recap! "Fernando doesn't act like a man forced into a loveless marriage"...my thoughts exactly! He is participating in the honeymoon kissing just a shade too enthusiastically for my taste.

I continue to find the Nando/Ximena couple very unconvincing...she looks like she could be his babysitter.

Diego and Ana on the other hand...whew! What chemistry! Zing!!!

Nico and Jennys...they make a convincing couple, I like them together.

Fannys and Leon: painful. We know what is coming...

J in Oregon

UA, I like your version better

J in Oregon, you summed up my sentiments of each couple exactly as I see it...
Fer and Isa... (too enthused on his side for comfort...)
Diego and Ana... hope that house has a good fire/explosion insurance ... they zing alright!
Nico and Jennys... Cheers!
Nando and Ximena... Jeers!
Leon and Fanny... what is the prediction?.... PAIN!!!...

Thank you so much, Marta! Excellent writing on what was a downer of an episode pour moi.

I've decided I am going to be surfing in and out (mostly out) on this story. I love Silvia Navarro, but I am not interested in

--seeing a strong female actress play a martyr role

--seeing any woman be a martyr for a spineless wimp of a man

--seeing said spineless wimp of a man take years to come to his senses.

He enjoyed what he was doing with Isabella last night. I think it's just the mood I am in these days, but watching Ana/Silvia Navarro take crap from the likes of Isabella and her mother is not funny. Carmen Salinas is not making me laugh, either.

So, better take my bad mood self outta here.

Thank you again, Marta!

Fatima

Thank you for a wonderful recap of an episode I actually quite detested.

Isa throwing herself at Fer constantly and kissing him excessively made me want to retch. Though she made significant inroads with Fer.

I am so over Yomama and find any scene with her beyond irritating.

I guess it was time for the kids to start acting up as they had been in lock step since Ana arrived.

I understand Sebas acting out. And I think he is a good little actor. I didn't care for his character in PEAM but he did the job that was written (and his family) wanted. I feel bad for the little guy. I think his family is trying to make him into a star. Pressure must be immense.

So about 140 more episodes...not sure I can last but I may just start watching all of them off my dvr so I can fast forward.

Fear this show will become unwatchable when Isa and Fer return.

It just occurred to me that somebody could have stopped Yolanda cold at the door by saying "Since when do you own this house?"

While Fernando might make a decision without consulting the family first he is in no way the sort of man who would let this happen before they knew about it. Here's hoping that somebody has the guts to tell him everything when they get back but I don't have much hope that he will put his foot down.

Isabela probably will, though. Yolanda embarrasses her to death and that might actually be funny.

Fatima, you have excellent points

--seeing a strong female actress play a martyr role

--seeing any woman be a martyr for a spineless wimp of a man

--seeing said spineless wimp of a man take years to come to his senses.

And while I like Diego, the guy is a playboy and sure that will raise it's ugly head. Also, if you take Yolanda out of the picture, Isabela and Fernando could live happily ever after, the end. Instead we have to watch Ana being beat to a pulp.

Fernando is a spineless coward. For all his talk about propriety & corresponding sacrifice, when Diego's gf fell in love with him, he wouldn't go there. He did because he wanted to and it was as much for show and winning as it was for love. Isabela, for all her faults and motivation, is perfect for Fernando and his image. He would never take uncouth Ana to a country club, would die if business associates and social circle knew she was a coochee coo dancer and uneducated.

Eli, I just read J's comment so went and read yesterday's afternoon posts.

You are a wonderful sister. God bless both of you.

Diana

I am just bracing for a broken waterworks between Ana and Fanny (when she gets her questions answered)... so if my hopes are not so high, it won't be a huge sour pill...
Yes, Yola is irritating... and i don't want to waste any time watching Johnny...even though when he cared and prayed for Jen he did win some points with me...
Still, I can't deny this show is a lighthearted way for me to finish my days... so i will hang on, at least for now...

tofie, in total agreement with your comments.

I'm just a Bad Mood Bear these days. Thanks for bearing with me.

Fatima

I don't believe for one second that Fernando is that kind of a snob; it's Isabela who has the proper claim to that title. Why else would she have introduced Yolanda as her nanny?

Nick is something of a self-made man, so it's not like they were To The Manor Born. Isabruja gets away with presenting herself as such until Yolanda shows up or something happens to rile her at which time she shows her true colors. Not to mention dirty linen.

Ana is doing a Pygmalion job on herself while all this is going on. Nando and Fanny totally get her and have her back. She showed a lot of class on Monday by not actually slapping Isabruja back although she could probably kick her clear across Mexico... and in heels.

Let's see, so far everyone is reacting very negatively about Fer and Bruja Menor:

— Guess it should have been no surprise that Fernando was finally able to have sex with Isabela. He found her attractive enough at least once before.

— but the man is clearly enjoying his new wife and NOT acting like someone who was shot-gunned into marriage.

— Bothered the daylights out of me that he flipped the switch this fast.

— Fernando has lost his spine in the name of "doing the right thing."

— The reason Fernando is into this is because Isabela is perfect for the guy.

— Disappointed to see how quickly he fell into her arms, though the winds and warmth of Cozumel could do it.

— Fernando doesn't act like a man forced into a loveless marriage in love with another woman.

— They say 'Fake it 'till you make it.’

— Fer and Isa... (too enthused on his side for comfort...)

— He enjoyed what he was doing with Isabella last night.

Hope we aren’t in for many more “love” scenes between these two!

Vikki

Oh, I'm a "Bad Mood Bear" too Fatima and while I knew Fernando was gonna be chummy with his wife I didn't want to see it in technicolor. I think acceptance is the next stage in the process.

Nic was a self made man and by the looks of it Yolanda married way above her station and had the presence of mind to educate and refine her daughter to fit quite nicely within polite society. Fernando, also chose that kind of life for himself and lives it by those rules, not those of the street from which Nic, Yolanda & Ana came. Fernando & Isabela did fake it till they made it and converts to that way of life and very rigid in their interpretation. Fernando ran off the road a little when Ana hit him but he is back on track.

tofie, again, agree totally with your comments. :)

Vikki, yes, there will be many more love scenes in the future.

Urban, I suppose Ana is doing a Pygmalion on herself, but I hope it is for herself and not for The Spineless Wonder.

Ana isn't doing well choosing the right guy. So far, she is 0 for 2 (what in the world did she EVER see in Johnnys?!)

Fatima

Thank you, Marta! "honey-gloom"...hahaha. So perfect.

I agree with what someone upstream said...Nic and Diego should have used their status to protect Manuela and Bruno from Yolo's incredibly crass and outrageous behavior. And someone, anyone, should have pointed out that she is NOT the new owner or boss of the household.

As lavishly as he was living before, I think Fer's expenses are going to triple with Isabruja and Yomama on board. I can see him running into money problems trying to grant all their demands.

Surely Leon can't be as stupid as he is acting. You don't know what to do? Weaksauce, Lion King.

Leon does seem to have some serious insecurities over his lowly status. Maybe he subconsciously sabotages himself. Maybe he did something similar that helped drive Tamara away. He's so peevish with her. Maybe that isn't entirely new behavior for him.

I don't think Nando meant that he thought less of Ximena. His friends were promoting a double standard, but I didn't get the impression Nando saw it that way. I thought maybe he was just worried that she would think him babyish and amateur in the boudoir department after all her experience.

Nothing says "let's be family" like pole dancing for your future father-in-law and brother-in-law.

Well we know the entertainment for holidays and family reunions. That kinda made me uncomfortable, I admit it.

Lol Julia! Yeah Ana pole dancing for Nic took me out out of my comfort zone, he's like a father figure. Also, she seemed to be wearing one of her skimpier outfits for the occasion. Though her routines are less sexual than acrobatic.

Though non sexual because of the sprain, it did accentuate her assets in a semi public forum and with whooping and cat calls, not a high point.

Yeah...her routines aren't really that provocative, but still, the environment is a lot of leering men who aren't drawn there by pure admiration for skill. I hardly think they'd be willing to sit there and be impressed by a man doing the same thing. Though I think Diego should give it a whirl :).

I think the whole househole needs to gaslight Yomama until she leaves. Especially with Fer and Isa gone, they can all conspire against her. Make her food and drink taste bad, and they will all swear it's fine and something is wrong with her. Speak too softly around her so she thinks she's going deaf. Block her pipe so the water in her shower has very low pressure. Put dim bulbs in all the lights in her room. Just a touch of polvos pica-pica in her clothes and towels. Take too long to fulfill her requests. Let Sebas practice his hip-hop with the music full blast near wherever she is loungin.

Julia, ROFLOL on:
Nothing says "let's be family" like pole dancing for your future father-in-law and brother-in-law.
... but... i agree! the Lasc's life will DEFINITELY not be boring from now on... esp Nico's...

I wonder if Jen will accept Nico's proposal. I know she doesn't want to be a gold-digger, but I hope she will at least accept his help in getting a better job than the one she has now. At the very least, a bartending job in a civilized place with a boss who isn't a creep thug.

Jardinera... right you were when you titled a recap a while back as '♫♫♪ I Wanna Hold Your Ha-a-a-a-and ♪♪♫'...
every time Ana remembers a moment with Fer or Fer remembers a moment with Ana is about moments where they were either kissing or holding hands...
last night Fer remembered when he hired Ana, she got so excited that she wanted to hold his hands... and that is what he was remembering... and Ana was remembering putting her hands all around his soapy back...
and Ana remembers her mom's hands as she played the guitar more than her face...

Thanks Marta, what a depressing episode. There's not much left to say that hasn't already been said.

I was cringing to when Nico was watching Ana pole dance. Would you want to do that in front of your father? Ick.

YoMama certainly has the idea that she is now queen of the house. Will wimpy Fernando tell her otherwise? Doubt it.

Double standard indeed. A female can't have sex with multiple guys, but a guy can have sex with multiple females.

Sebastian will surely join the bad hiphop kids now, and maybe even wear his pants low, lol. And I can see Alicia getting an attitude of superiority with the help once Isa gets back.

What did Leon think would happen once he and Fanny got serious enough to talk marriage?

Since Fernando is so comfortable being married to Isa, then I hope that Ana and Diego have a serious relationship too.

Fernando is the child that played with the toy first and threw it away until Diego picked it up and started playing with it. Then he cries foul and wants it back, not to play with, but to throw it into the back of the closet so no one can play.

I thought Diego and Dana looked like they had potential. Maybe she can be his happily-ever-after? And I think Ana should move on and have a passionate torrid romance with some not-yet-introduced character and end up with that guy. To heck with telenovela tradition.

Calling Jorge Aravena! Your services needed here, urgently!!! If unavailable, I can think of a list of acceptable substitutes. What's Erick Elias up to these days? Maybe Marcelo Cordoba could find the time?

Julia, Jorge Aravena!! loved it!! he got the girl in Querida Enemiga... and i loved that!! and he is so good on the eyes and ears... great choice!! other one that can come to mind is Rafa Novoa (colombian, pura sangre, A corazon abierto).

Rafa Novoa. OMG yes. Ana will have to fight me for him

The only thing I've seen Rafa in was el tal Talisman. He seemed completely stoned throughout that series, which I completely understand; what a trainwreck that was; anyone would want to check out. But anyway, not the most impressive display of acting. I'm willing to take your word that he would be better in a better show.

Erick Elias or Ivan Sanchez

YEAH!!

Thanks for this excellent recap, Marta, Well done.

I guess I'm in a minority. If Fernando felt obligated to marry Isabela (and in the Church, no less), then I admire him for making the effort to be an enthusiastic, committed husband. I was fully expecting the honeymoon to be a dreary tedious experience with him moping and mooning over what might have been. I say good for him, although if Isabela doesn't play golf I think it was selfish of him to select that rather than something that she might enjoy as well. But then good for her to willingly and cheerfully follow him around the course. It was a little odd that there weren't three (or at least one) other guys playing with him.

And was it really necessary for Ana to interrupt the honeymoon over the problem with Sebastián? What's he gonna do about it from Cozumel? It's almost one of those things that she might ordinarily have kept from him and tried to initially work out with Seb.

I also that it was rather strange that Fanny, when told that the photo that Margarita was clutching was of León, wasn't interested in taking a closer look and asking about León as a child and his childhood. That was almost weird.

Sorry, but I just can't get enough of Yolanda. I think that Carmen Salinas is such a fascinating and authentic person. I enjoyed her so much in Dinero and just wish that she had those cute dogs that she had in that. Imagine Bruno and Manuela having those doggies in addition to Yolanda to contend with.

I found myself feeling sad for Ximena. I wonder what the norm is for sexual experience among those kids is. So is Fanny now a slut since she is having sex (especially with a married guy with a kid)?

Carlos

Eli- I'm only just now reading these comments (sending me to read yesterday's comments) and seeing that your sister is struggling right now. What a wonderful sister you are. I'm sending lots of prayers and positive thoughts to you, your sister, and your family. Abrazos, amiga!

Carlos, I don't think Isa cared at all what activity Fer chose as long as she got to strut around in front of him in a cute expensive outfit. Where else was she going to wear the golf outfit she bought, with its needlessly short skirt? I wonder how much she spent on her trousseau. She wore two different negligees just on the first night! I'm annoyed that our tour of the beautiful Cozumel scenery is being ruined by the two of them getting in the way of it.

I didn't think Seb failing school was something to call Fer about, either. Is he going to come rushing home to straighten Sebastian out? Ana should just take Sebas on a ghetto tour to show him what kind of life he can expect as an adult if he doesn't do his schoolwork. I wonder if Sebas will have sagging pants and a tattoo by the time Isa and Fer return. That poor maestra looked so distraught over Seb's abysmal grades, though!

Julia, there is plenty of Rafa in Pura Sangre and ACA in youtube. just check out the finale of PS or any episode of ACA... look for the special ending of season 1 (the ending they recorded for international, there is a different ending for Colombia since there was a very long season 2 transmitted there only). I can post here a link to the clips when i get home tonight.

Marta: Thanks for the great recap.

Can't stand Yola, right now. It's time for the younger kids to dust off their tricks and get busy.

Fan is eventually going to turn up at Leon's.

So Isa and Fer did the deed. Does that mean Isa has to die? Or, as someone suggested (I think UA) there might be an annulment if it turns out the baby isn't his?

UA: thanks for channelling the Goddesses again.

Nanette

Oh, and Vivi, this is the first TN I've watched that you haven't. I'm really missing your regular input.

I agree that Sebas grades were not something so critical and urgent to call Fernando about, unless he had said they would go on a long honeymoon, but he told Luz it would only be a week. I totally love your suggestion, Julia, for Ana to give Sebas a tour of 'the hood', sort of that lockdown show to get teenagers scared out of a rebel/crime life.

If the baby turns out not to be Fet's, then is that grounds for annulment per the Catholic church?

Sorry, darn phone ***Fer's

I'm pretty sure it is. Telling him a child is his when it isn't would be coercion, which could invalidate a Catholic marriage.

Thank you, Marta, for your recap. I loved "honey-gloom," even though Fer didn't look too gloomy.

I agree with everyone regarding Fer: a little too enthusiastic about his marriage of "obligation." He does not behave like an obliged man.

The BMs (Bruja Menor y Bruja Mayor) irk me more every day.

If Xi has a vast sexual history with the school boys, Nando should be concerned about contracting an STD.

Previews show Ana walking in on Diego kissing another woman. I hope Diego does not break her heart.

Aphrodite and Hera - Give poor Ana a break!

If Jenny decides to say yes to Nico then I hope she moves into the house too. That will give Ana some more support within the house from someone who isn't above getting low with Isabruja.

Why would Fernando divorce even if the child not his? He and Isabela have now pair bonded and seems they are meant for each other. What should be grounds for divorce is when Fernando returns and starts chasing the nanny around the house. Take him to the cleaners Isabela.

Marta, that was a great recap which prompted many wonderful comments.

UA, thanks for another glimpse of the goddesses conversing.

Victoria, I had the same thought about Luz--what if she returns to mute mode, with Ana the only one who can reach her?

As much as I love Jorge S., I'm finding Fernando to be weak and wishy-washy. We're looking at complete chaos on all fronts if he doesn't take the reins in hand. (Of course, chaos is what drives the TN engine.)

Eli, thinking good thoughts for you and your sister, as you struggle with the health issues.

Yes! I know Nico bought an apartment, but perhaps it should need some renovation so he and Jen will stay in the big house for awhile. Wouldn't that just eat and Isa and Yolo? But if Isa's mom can live there, it's only fair that Fer's dad and his lovely new wife can, too! And if it turned out that Nico is the actual owner of the mansion and Jen became the new high-ranking lady of the house, even better! Wouldn't Isa and Yomama love that?!

err, eat AT Isa and Yola...

Thanks for the reminder Carlos about the picture that Leon's mother was holding. I thought it was odd the way Fanny asked about it. She asks who the child is, likes it's any of her business, and not oh, what a cute kid, is he a relative? saying that just to make nice conversation.
Also, I think we will have some fun moments with YoMama and the children. I hope they drive her batty.
I also agree about calling Fer over it. Is he going to jump on a plane and rush back home? Probably.

I have a prediction for Isa and mystery man who isn't here yet. I predict they get caught canoodling by someone, not Fernando. They try to tell him but he won't listen or believe.

I think everyone will be much, much happier if Fer and Isa stay away on their honeymoon for a long, long time. I think they should hop on that yacht "Fanny" and sail it to England. Imagine the reactions it would get there!

Julia: I would love to see Jennys take over the house! That would be awesome!!

Carvivlie and Julia: Put me at the Jen Goes to Live at the House table with you two.

Stripper pole in the living room too. I'll try it

I agree with Aphrodite; Fernando is faking it. Just as he faked being an unfeeling businessman for a long time. He made that one almost true but now that there is Ana he can't go back.

However, if Luz goes mute again -- which I can see happening -- Ana will stay for sure. Hissabela will still try to make her life miserable but we know that can't go undetected forever.

Bruno should bug Bruja Mayor's room and record the conversations and arguments.

The kids should pull the same tricks with the hot water, itching powder, etc.

And when "Enrique" shows up there will be something big happening.

UA: You're not giving away spoilers! Is Enrique the big guy in the cream/beige sweater in the opening?

Thank you, Marta!
So I guess the marriage was consummated after all. Fer did try to postpone the moment as much as he could. I don't blame him too much for sleeping with Isa, she is his wife, she is beautiful and he is trying to make it work.
I'm rather blaming Ana for not jumping on Diego as fast as possible. The guy is hot, he's crazy about her, what more can she want???

About Ximena's experience with guys: maybe it is a double standard, but the girl is barely 20, having that type of reputation is not good. When Fanny slept with Leon after only a few weeks many thought it was rushed and a mistake from Fanny's part.
No guy wants to hear that his girlfriend has dated the entire football team before him. It's not fair, but this is the way the world works.

Still, I don't think Nando was thinking Ximena is a slut and therefore worthless, more worried about how he would compare.

I agree Ximena shouldn't have slept around, but more for the reason that she was looking for something they weren't offering than because of reputation.

Hissabela didn't return a call from him a few episodes ago, so that will be paid off soon.

I keep meaning to comment on how funny I think it is that they always refer to Yola as "Isa's mother or nanny".

Adriana,
I would agree that Ana needs to jump on Diego... but i understand her from the same front she did not try to impede the wedding... that would definitely send a WRONG message for the kids... after seeing her blubber for their dad, she goes after their uncle... while they all know their dad and she love each other.. DEFINITELY the wrong message to give the kids and would confuse them even more than if she tried to impede the wedding.
Get me a chair on the table of those who would LOVE for Jen to marry Nico and then wreak havoc for Isa and YoMama in that house.

btw, Nico has every right to stay there as long as he wants... i remember the meeting of Nico and Fernando at the lobby of the corporate when Nico commented that 'yes, I built all this' (or stte) at the price of not spending the time with you boys as i should have... so both the company and the house (probably) were originally Nico's... definitely the company... not sure Nico would need a house THAT big for just a family of 4 and staff.

"Cuidado que le lele!!" ROFLOL!!!\

oh, and Julia!...
i found the videos of Rafa N i was looking for on youtube. Just search for 'ACA FINAL FELIZ'... and watch the last 2 of the 5 parts.... you can see there Rafa at his best... at first, all 'business', then seducing and finally smiling and laughing.

other great ones for Rafa N on youtube are under 'Rafael Novoa y Marcela Mar'
