Mi corazon es tuyo #67 Tues 10/21 Fernando finally faces Isa with some backbone and gets to witness her effect on his kids first hand... Ana defends Fanny to Reeky and later Reeky pulls out a cannon and a 'loved ones' threat on Leon

Fernando asks Ana why she referred to Jenny as 'hermana.' Fernando asks Ana if she will tell the truth once and for all… sike!!! Just kiddin’!! advice to have a ‘sister’ so fast? Chemistry! Ana changes the subject quick and walks away.

Music continues… where did all these stranger guests come from? They were not at the wedding!

Edna looking for Johnny… he is with Dana (the other girl from the Chicago) out in another patio. Johnny kisses Dana (or rather she kisses him) and Edna is outraged…

Leon, Reina and Margarita busy keeping up with the food serving and cleanup.

Wait… Reeky dancing with Betty??

Ana and Diego to to dance. Fernando shows miffed face. Isa looks away rolling her eyes. He remembers his dancing scene with Ana in library at the house. Alicia comes to ask Isa to go to restroom with her. Luz goes to dance with Diego and Ana. YoMama comes to check how Fernando is going. He is not in the mood… she wants to know how the marriage is going… YOU ask me about my marriage? … YoMama brings up the issue about Ana’s mom. She seems to want to explain she talked to Ana… Fernando really not in the mood to talk about it. Fernando gathers as much respect as he can and says ‘but… you are no longer welcome in my house.’ (yeah, he said it flat out like that and in one breath!! And Yomama is having a hard time catching her breath.. she is totally frozen. Fernando had planned to talk to her later but… ‘I want you out of my house, Yolanda’. Yolanda is in disbelief… you can’t send me away like an old rag… Fernando reminds her he had warned her, remember when they accused Ana of the burglary?? YoMama insists 'you can't do this to me, I am your MIL!' but Fernando continues ‘if there is something that makes me sick is injustice. And watching someone abuse their ‘power’ on folks who are in weaker positions. I don’t want you in my house any longer. Enjoy the party. Excuse me.’ Fernando is done talking. Stands up and leaves. YoMama tells herself ‘ay, hijita, you and your ideas’. Fernando watches Ana and Diego interact with Luz and is a bit sad. Diego comes over and notices Fernando is a bit out of it. Are you sure? Can I do something for you? Fernando tells him he just kicked YoMama out of the house. Its just he is not (in the mood) He is ok…

Isa and Alicia in restroom. Alicia tells her Sebas made up everything so her dad would be mad at her. Isa thanks her. Ana walks in, seems not happy that Ali is talking to Isa. Isa asks Ali if she will let her alone with Ana to talk to her. Ana is not looking forward to this. Ali leaves. Isa calls Ana ‘vulgar’. Ana asks from toilet ‘now it turns out you are not, right?’

Reeky sits Betty down in the middle of a song and goes right to grab Fanny. Need to talk to you. Fanny also wants to talk to him so she goes to dance with him. Leon watches them. Reina tries to poke some jealousy in Leon. But he is not having it.

Diego has pulled Fernando outside. Fernando wants to talk to Diego about his life. Diego understands that sometimes what we say and what we feel are not the same. I know perfectly what it feels like to loose a love. (or lose in love) Don’t want to talk about Ana, or we will end up badly.

Isa grabs Ana roughly questioning if she went tattle-telling to Fernando… Ana is rough back in her tone. Isa threatens to Ana not to talk to her as ‘equals’. Ana does her arm movement ‘cancelo! Cancelo! We are CERTAINLY not equal. What you want to know is if I went to Don Fer with the gossip about the intrigue you and your mom built against me. I did not tell him! Look, I did not tell him. But he found out. And the trick backfired on you and your mother. I was not guilty of anything… just was a bit too trusting. But what happened later…(Isa gets rough with her again but Ana stops her) I have not yet told him that you left me and Jenn out in the road’ Isa rebutes by mocking Ana’s desire to find her mother and the fact of Ana looking like a clown in the road asking for a ride… Isa totally enjoys watching Ana suffer for sure. Ana is about to rip Isa’s wrist apart… Ana again says if it were not for your pregnancy… Ana warns them not to play with the most sacred one has which is your mother… Ana leaves, Isa again is left grinding through her teeth nagging that Ana broke her hand (if she had, you would be screaming in pain now, B!!)…

Fanny tells Reeky that Leon is more a man than him. Reeky says that was not a threat. Reeky claims that he told Leon what he told her, that Leon is inferior. Fanny tries to end the convo and leave, But as Reeky tries to grab her, Ana comes to the rescue. (was funny how Ana pointed her finger at him and he looked at Ana’s face and then down at the hand… like ‘who the heck are you?’) ‘I know people like you who think they are all that, but you don’t know what I am capable of if you try to harm my nina, EMBEZZLE!!!’ Ana calls Reeky a big bad wolf. Ana threatens him to tell Fernando if he tries to get close to Fanny (the little ridinghood). And he will kick him out of the corporate office. (loved that scene of Ana showing face for Fanny). (loved how Reeky stared at Ana, I just hope he won’t target Ana as his new dart board picture) Got that!... yeah, you got it. (as Ana leaves with Fanny, Reeky says ‘you don’t know who you are messing up with, Ana Leal…) (I am afraid the secret of Ana’s second job is coming up sooner rather than later).

Isa keeps walking around and whining about the ‘barriada’ type party. She comes to YoMama, who is sad. YoMama tells her Fernando kicked her out of the house. Isa yells ‘QUEEEEE!???’ so loud everyone looks at her. ‘Ay No, the end is near!’ (you bet!) And such a good daughter… NOT!… begs her mother to take the fall for the prank on Ana about her mom. ‘what is wrong with you?? You are seeing the prophecy come close and you won’t kneel down??’ (LOL!) YoMama is upset Isa wants to push her under the boss without doing anything for HER. Isa is only focused on saving her OWN skin. Isa sure Fernando won’t leave YoMama out unsupported.

The dance continues… with the traditional bridge dance… (my God these people have a Ball room in the hacienda as well??)

Bruno gets a phone message, has to respond he can’t go, at a family event. Will get together later in the week.

Cute! Ana gets the bouquet… (if we can call that tossing it because Jenn turned around and almost handed it to Ana).. (even this makes Isa shriek in anger) Fernando and Ana share a stare, then she sees Diego also looking at her and smiling.

A while later Ana and Diego are saying goodbye… time for Nico and Jennifer to leave… we see a recap of the wedding. And the vows. And Ana’s toast speech about overcoming obstacles together with their love.

Fernando tells Nico just want to know that you are well. Nico says ‘I will be VERY well’. Bruno and Diego also say goodbye and well wishes. Diego again brings the subject that Fer and Nico are married, the only one left is himself. Ana again changes the subject instantly. Nico says they are headed to let Jenny to know the REAL Chicago. This totally went over Fernando’s head. OMG!! Fernando said ‘Que chido, papa!’ and then catches himself and actually has fun with his slip-up. Nico drags Jenn out of there after one last hug with Ana.

OH sh!!! Mau is by a water fountain and Reeky seizes him… Reeky sends Mau with his grandma. Leon yells at Reeky to get away from his family. Reeky then pulls out a gun and Leon freezes. Reeky threatens him to get away from Fanny or his family will be the first ones to pay. Reeky leaves, Leon shrieks.

Johnny delivers Edna at her house but not before she nags at him that he spent all day with other women. If you are taking me to an event, please stay with me. Johnny quickly steals a kiss from her. Johnny starts apologizing. Edna directly asks him if he likes Dana. He says she has ‘her stuff’.. Edna is miffed about that response and just says goodnite and leaves him out in the curb.

Everyone is back at the house. Isa is in a robe and Fer still dressed. He finds her rubbing her wrist. Isa nags that his ‘dear nanny’ almost broke it. Fernando surprised. Just like that? Why? Cause she hates me, why else?? Fernando asks if she did not tell or do anything to Ana… Isa again nags that he believes his employee more than his wife. He sits her down… Fer wants to talk about what her mother and her did to Ana. Isa claims it was her mom alone. Isa even wants Fernando to punish her mom. (Fernando is totally shocked about this). Isa is sure Ana told him that Isa came up with the story. Fernando says no, she did not tell me anything. Despite what Isa did to her, Ana never told me anything. Isa mocks so nice Anita the orphan. Fernando doubts Isa’s mom would come up with such a sophisticated plan. Isa keeps fighting. Fernando is very sure Isa planned it all (pointing fingers at her). Isa persists that Ana wants to destroy their marriage and their baby’s life. Fernando says ‘please enough! I am sick of this!’ (Luz comes in and asks Fernando to read her a story. Fernando goes with Luz and leaves Isa there midthought, talking to herself worried Fernando plans to kick her out too, talks to the camera ‘I cannot allow that’.)

In kitchen, YoMama is playing the ‘pitiful me’ card with Manuela and Bruno… Manuela won't have any 'if you are asking if we are crying a river... well... no.' Bruno made her a shake and she wants to know if he put some ‘kick’ on it. Bruno says she does not need more stimulants today. Bruno and Manuela talk that Fernando kicked her because of what she did with Ana’s mom. Bruno agrees with the boss. She went over the line… Yomama says not even crying does any good. Will end up on the street selling something at the red light or singing at the public transport. Sleeping under cardboard and newspapers.

At Chicago, Ana has her dance number. Diego is there framing her with his hands. Doroteo is there as well. Some drunk guy gets close to the stage. At first Diego has to hold him back, then Doro sends his thugs to get the guy out. Ana has seen it but continues her dancing.

Fernando is with Luz in her room… reading her princess story. (JS is great at reading kids stories.) Fer uses a use in the story of the word ‘eternity’ to tell Luz that is how he loves her. Luz adds ‘and Ana too’. And Fer confirms it… Good night kiss… He goes to say good nite to Alicia, she has headphones on. Alicia is a bit distant with him… he promises tomorrow they will talk.

YoMama is sad with Bruno walking her up… she whines that it is her last night here… Fernando sees and hears this. Bruno talks good of Fernando to her. He would never leave you on the street.. (oy…) YoMama suggests Bruno sleep with her. This makes him jolt. (funny Fernando heard this part) YoMama tries to drag him to her room. Gets to sit him down on her bed… She gets to lay on top of him. He shakes. YoMama falls asleep over Bruno. She asks him not to go in her sleep… Bruno comes down and Fernando asks him how it went with her. Bruno says 'she pulled me on her bed'. Fernando puts a face like ‘say what?’ Bruno wants to talk to him. About the surrogate mother. Lets say it has created some frictions between Manuela and I. what about Manuela and you? (just kidding again) I know you and her are a couple. ‘do you approve?’ ‘absolutely!’ Bruno gets so excited he loses his breath. Fernando has to ask ‘are you ok?’ Fernando gives Bruno a bit of encouragement, science has improved much and chances are nothing bad will
happen. Bruno says Manuela thinks he is against the pregnancy because of his ‘macho’ ego. Fernando says ‘maybe you don’t want to see her pregnant of someone who is not you’.

Leon comes to visit Fanny. Leon thanks her for the opportunity of reconquering her. The plan starts now. He asks her to pick a number between 1 and 10. 7. Can you come to my house tomorrow nite? He won’t give her any hints of the plan. They kiss… Fernando is coming down and clears his throat. She says she hears something... must be a charming and wonderful dad coming down. Leon promises Fernando he won’t fail Fanny. You better not.

Fanny and Leon go to kitchen to play with Ximena and Gustavo.

Fernando looks at Fanny’s painting (he looks very tired) and remembers when he promised her he would care for their kids. ‘Our kids could not get a better dad’.

In the kitchen the truth or dare game is going well, Ximena, Nando, Gustavo, Fanny and Leon and Laura…Gus gets a ‘eat a green chile whole’ dare. Gustavo puts a ‘heck no!’ face. Ximena gets Nando to go to kitchen to get it. LOL!

Diego is cooking for Ana in his apartment… she nags that he has not finished unpacking. Very interesting furniture. Very modern, but also fresh, even has palmtrees in there… Diego explains the food is very exotic… she would rather have some tacos in the street corner. He heads to kitchen and she admires all his knowledge of cuisine from foreign countries.

Fernando returns to his room. Isa wants to retake the convo. Isa sarcastically asks if she has to wait until he puts all his 7 kids to bed, says he is very unfair to her. ‘Everyone in this house is against me!’

Fernando recites a list… ‘independent of :

About Sebastian

About the twins

About Ana’s mother

The problems you have with Fanny…

‘I already told you that the issue of Ana’s mother has nothing to do with…’

‘Isabella!! I know I said I wanted our child to grow in a stable home… and that I would try to make you happy!... the problem is that I did not consider the effect it would have in my younger children… I never imagined you would be… anyway…. I thought you would be another person…’

‘ah yeah? and what type of person?’

‘A woman with whom I could live… I am not happy, Isabella. (it’s all about him, isn’t it??) And as much as I want our child to grow in the heart of a home… if I am not happy, this makes no sense! … it will be much worse for the baby!...’

(Luz comes in saying to Fernando she can’t sleep)

‘Get back to your room, niña!!! Don’t you see your dad and I are talking??!!!’

‘ISABELLA!!!!’

(Fernando takes Luz in his arms and gives her kisses and whisper things to her to try to get her to calm down, while giving Isa killer stares…)

Back to Diego’s apt, Ana is enjoying his dinner really well, he tells her the story of dragonfruit, which dessert is based on…

Diego tells Ana she is very beautiful…. She replies 'have you gone to the eye doctor, Diego?'
he continues: 'I love you Ana…'
(kisses). Diego wants to swing for the fences… he traps her and leans on her on the couch...
Ana escapes and then says ‘no…no, Diego ... I can't.’ out of breath…

Previews: Ana asking herself why she can’t love a wonderful man like Diego… meanwhile Fanny tells Ana that Fernando plans to divorce Isa… Ana having second thoughts… Fanny asking Ana ‘do you love Diego? … (Ana responds that is not the issue) if the issue is not love, then what is it?’

(looks like Fernando is pedaling, but on an exercise bike… man!!! What will it take for you to say the word!!! Say it with me… D I V O R C E her already!!)

Thanks, Marta, for a great recap.

Now if Ana would just tell Fernando about Enrique with his hands on and coming on to Fanny, so much unpleasantness could be avoided. Eventhough Fanny is an adult, Ana the nana should tell Fernando. It is very disapponting that she hasn't and, I am guessing, probably won't. Threatening Enrique isn't going to do it,and Ana with her street smarts should know that.

Fernando had a nice strong evening. Let us hope he can keep it up and can carry through with his decisionti throw Yolanda out and maybe send Isabella oacking with her.

Wow it completely flew past me that Jorge Salinas is the son of Carmen Salinas! I don't know how I missed that except to say she must have married some gorgeous hunk of a man to haven given birth to a stud like Jorge.

Marta, great recap as always. I love your side comments. I always find them funny.

Victoria... imdb shows Carmen Salinas as having only a son who died and a daughter. the son was a composer. not Jorge. where did you hear/read Jorge is her son?

Marta I saw it on the English Wiki page for Jorge Salinas yesterday when I was researching "Mariana de la Noche".

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jorge_Salinas

It's mentioned in the first paragraph or so.

Marta

Jorge is also listed under Carmen's wiki page as her son.
Jorge Salinas Perez

Jorge Salinas and Carmen Salinas are not related to each other, nor to Nora Salinas from La Malquerida.

Then I will modify the Wiki page accordingly.

Thanks, Marta, for a wonderful recap!

As a comedy, I thought last night's capitulo nearly crossed the INAPPROPRIATE line in the scene where Enfrique threatened Mau. Totally creepy.

I cannot help but make my case again for Ana to ditch Fer and choose Diego. According to my observation, Ana and Fernan-duh only share physical chemistry and make a good co-parenting team. Other than lust and cooperation, Fer offers her nothing else. He does not care enough about her to discover her interests (ballet, search for her mother, etc.); he only wants her sexually and as a surrogate mother for his children. Egocentric, mysoginist Fernan-duh consistently marginalizes her (even Isabruja - "You looked so good on paper.") and will do so more once he discovers the truth about her night job. Conversely, Diego actually loves Ana. He treats her as an equal, and he takes the pains to consider her well-being above his own. Rather than being egocentric, Diego is Ana-centric. His world revolves around her. In my mind, Diego makes far better husband material! (I also find him way hotter than Fernan-duh!)

Have a great day, All! I look forward to reading about everyone's thoughts on this capitulo later in the day.

Thanks Marta. This was so wonderfully detailed, I was surprised reading items I don't remember. Blame the cute kitty on the lap... Gracias!

Ecuador: What you said! That is so much why I enjoy Diego with Ana and it drives me batty that end game is Fer, not that he's not improving and all. But a little interest in who Ana actually is would go a long way in winning me over.

Even his confrontation, your so right Marta, was the reasoning he wasn't happy. Maybe just me, but that sort of made me go "that's it? that's all your going to give her...wow, let's target Ana". Isa, if she isn't anything, she is not stupid. He basically telegraphed it's all about Ana, even before his kids. And lord, there is just something about a man who knows his way around a kitchen. Diego for the win!

We knew he would, but looks like Eeky is crossing the line. I don't want this to become a murder mystery and that gun made me want to throw something at my TV. Be a creep, but I was hoping murder and mayhem would stay out of this TN. I'm hoping that was a threat only and we won't go there.

Fer better not change his mind on Yomama. And I see Isa trying to blame Ana for something soon...here comes the "baby is threatened" plot? And then her mother gets to stick around.

Daisynjay

Good stuff, Marta.

EB, it is a fail that Fernando didn't offer to help Ana find her mother; he should have offered to help subsidize the search. He is aware of her search and was disappointed when the false lead came up. He hasn't taken Isabruja's abuse of her lightly either.

I don't think Fernando is egocentric. He did fail in not considering his children when he decided to marry Hissabela, which he would not have done had she not become pregnant. Many people often don't realize that nobody else can love their children as they do. Also, many parents often don't realize that there are people who actually don't like children at all. TN writers often paint that color on villanas.

As for Diego, he has nothing else to worry about so he is in a position to make Ana the center of his world. He has money and a career, but no corporation and no children of his own to consider in this equation.

EB, I do agree with you about the program crossing the line last night. Enfrique was very disturbing. We had a minor preview of this when he last visited his father a few episodes ago and I think that his father realizes that Enfrique is unhinged. He was trying to talk and I think he eventually will succeed.

Enfrique is unhinged in much the same way as this actor's character in CME. However, it's worse here because Fanny is younger than Renata and because he also threatened a child.

“Yolanda is a total idiot to think that Fernando wouldn't want her out,” said Hera. “Disrupting his household is more than adequate motive.”

“He should have gotten rid of her when she tried to frame Ana for grand theft,” said Athena. “Or at the very least threatened to call the police on her for that.”

“If Isabela's baby is his he will need to fight for custody. Did you see how she treated the little girl?”

“Wicked stepmother, indeed. Luz's nightmare is more reality than anyone knows.”

“Isabela and her mother will not go quietly. She has Enrique to help.”

“This will require special forces to fight. He is even more insane than she is.”

Dear Marta,

Thanks so much. I really appreciate your careful translation of the many quick slang exchanges that escape me.

I actually felt sorry for Fernando last night. He has seven children,in seven different stages, all still affected by their mother's death. And last night he had Bruno, too. As he reengages with his children, he really doesn't have a minute's peace. On top of that, he has his crazy wife and mother-in-law and someone trying to ruin the business he hardly has time for on a good day. I thought he hit the nail on the head when he told Isabela that they were not building a home together. He needs someone who can help him be a good parent and responsible human being. I just hope that he ejects the two brujas from the house before he puts himself through an unnecessary estrangement from Ana over Chicago and sees his company go south with Reeky's help.

On the other hand, Diego has grown on me completely and he must be sensing that he has no future with Ana. He has been there for her every step of the way but she is just not feeling it.

Edna seems like a nice, responsible person. She should run fast and far from Johnny. Or better yet, he should just run fast and far to another novela. Leading Jenny down the aisle! Yikes.

I like the way that Nico relates to his sons, knowing which of them is going to be most responsive in any situation. Fernando gives him advice; Diego gives him comfort. And he never speaks ill of one in front of the other. Good Dad. I hope he survives his honeymoon in the real Chicago!

This was awesome Marta.

"Wait… Reeky dancing with Betty??" Looked like it to me

I knew Ricky was bad but this bad, no. What an unpleasant surprise.

Fanny - this ain't Gus

Ricky - because mines bigger

Isabela - hold her and I'll punch

Diego - what if I put on some Marvin Gaye

Alicia - ain't listening

Ana - I'm allergic to passion fruit

Leon - lemme clean my drawers and I'll be right over

Yolanda - sacrificial ham

Fernando - handing out pink slips

Thanks for the wonderful recap!

I too was shocked to see Betty dancing with Reeky. Has she no pride or sense?

Ecuador: I agree with you about Diego. Diego knows all of Ana's secrets and loves her without judgment. He tried to pay her debts and help find her Mom. The only thing Fer has done, thinking solely of Ana's happiness is getting Alicia to wear her dress.

I had forgotten about Yomama and the stolen necklace until Fer brought it up. Yes, she should be kicked out.

Reeky pulling out the gun had the opposite affect on me than intended. I actually laughed. For some reason I can't take Reeky as a serious danger. I guess I'm just not feeling the actor in this role.

I can now attest the a ham on rye can be just as easily splayed across a keyboard as coffee. Tofie, your list today was absolutely priceless!

"Diego - what if I put on some Marvin Gaye" and
"Leon - lemme clean my drawers and I'll be right over" are the reason I am now about to go get some clorox wipes right now for my poor computer.

Brilliant!!

Daisynjay

yeah Marvin Gaye... sexual healing is right! but it seems Fernando needs it even more than Diego.

Marta, thanks for your excellent recap. It inspired some great comments.

Diego would be great for Ana, but she can't see it. Was Ana's slow dance with the pole last night or the night before? Whichever, that was a very skilled and seductive dance.

Cheers to Fernando for giving Yomamma the eviction notice!

Thank you, Marta!

It bugs the bejeebers out of me that Ana gave Enfrique the old "stop doing what you're doing or I'll tell Fernando". JUST TELL FERNANDO!!! A creep is not going to stop being a creep just because you interrupted his creeping one time! Come on, people! You could be rid of this guy! Why are you giving him second (third, fourth, fifth) chances? Maybe if he were a close family member...but he isn't, and he came recommended by Isa, which should be a huge clue as to his nature.

So now Leon will be afraid to say anything against Enreeky because the snake has threatened Mau. Ugh.

I loved how Bruno and Manuela were chewing out Yomama. When she started in on the sob story "I'll be on the street! Poor me!" I wish they had snapped at her that she can always become a servant scrubbing someone's toilets, or, hey, how about getting her useless daughter to get a job and pay for an apartment? I have NO sympathy for her.

I think Ana is crazy not to go for Diego. He's so much better than Fer. Surely any minute now the writers are going to throw some major wrench into his life or character to try to make some of us favor Fer.

Since we know what the endgame is here I really do hope the writers give Diego a happy ending. Though I'm sure he will be utterly heartbroken over Ana. I hope that photographer/sex partner may fill the spot.

Thank you, Julia! That was the same point I made. Ana is making the same mistake she made before. Fernando deserves to know what is going on with his children in a situation like this. Period. Punto final. She should not act as the "filter." That blew up in her face before. Here the ramifications coukd be even worse. If it were a close family member that would be even more of a reason to tell Fernando.

Jarifa

Carvivlie, I've seen this guy before and he creeps me out. In CME he treated the heroine as though she were a possession and that is how he sees women in general here.

Ana should have told Fanny that Fernando was looking for her and they should have left the room. She then should have told him everything and let him take care of the situation. Now would be the perfect time for him to realize that Isabruja's recommendation of this guy is tainted.

Oh, I don't think I made my point clearly. I meant that if Enfrique were a family member or something, they should still definitely tell Fer but perhaps give the guy a chance to redeem himself or still have limited contact with him, depending on what exactly he had done. Family relationships can be complicated. But since this guy is NOTHING to them and he has crossed the line MANY times, why on earth wouldn't they want to get him the hell out of their lives straightaway?

I don't think it would be that simple, because we know he is a villain out for revenge against Fer and would pursue that even if he were fired, or even moreso, but they don't know that. As far as they know, they can solve the problem by telling Fer what's been going on.

Even Hissabela doesn't know what he is ultimately up to. He is intelligent enough to keep that from her and sadistic enough to laugh at her reaction if she is still with Fernando when (and if) he bankrupts him and wrecks his rep.

I wonder at the direction this story is taking.

Urban: I agree he's good at creepy. I found the whole gun situation desperate on his part, but funnily so. Maybe I was in a funny mood myself while watching.

“Enrique is even making me sick,” said Aphrodite. “I will never understand what makes men behave the way he does.”

“The only thing I can think of is some sense of inadequacy,” said Apollo. “Let's see... it can't be on the order of Pedro Medina's problem since he probably knocked up Isabela, so it has to be something else.”

“Maybe he failed an audition at the Palacio de Belles Artes,” said Euterpe. “And while he's not exactly deformed he's no Alejandro Fernandez.”

“I love that family,” said Aphrodite. “You were really generous to them.”

“Some people deserve our favor,” Euterpe said. “And others not.”

“And León doesn't deserve those threats,” said Apollo. “He needs to tell Fernando.”

“Except how is he going to do that when he's not back in his good graces yet?” Aphrodite was seething. “I'm afraid he will try to protect Fanny and Mauricio all by himself.”

“We better help him succeed. That will emphasize Fanny's words.”

I about fell off my chair when he pulled out the gun. Like, really, dude? You thought that was necessary? Does he carry a gun around all the time just to stage little melodrama scenes like this?

Re: Ana/Fer/Diego. Diego is a great guy, but the heart wants what the heart wants and Ana already gave hers to Fer. I'm confident as eps go by Fer will earn hers completely.

Xi has the most beautiful smile.

Nanette

Marta, fantastic, from start to finish.

"Wait… Reeky dancing with Betty??" (yes, I thought I was seeing things too); "I just hope he won’t target Ana as his new dart board picture" and "What will it take for you to say the word!!! Say it with me… D I V O R C E her already!!)" were among my many favorites.

It would be difficult enough to marry someone your children didn't like, even if she was actually a good person. It might be resentment someone was trying to take their mother's place or jealousy, fearing they would be usurped in their father's affections. There could be a hundred reasons. But the truth is, it doesn't matter. If there is not peaceful coexistence at the minimum, this won't work. Isa has physically and mentally hurt his children. Fer needs to correct his mistake and end the marriage. Now. Not for his sake, not for Ana's sake, not for his and Ana's sake but for his children's.

As all of Isa's irrational and cruel behavior is being revealed, I agree with what everyone else has said - it's time to pull the baby card...

I wouldn't have cared if Enrique pulled the gun on Leon, but not his son. I have to say that I am wondering if fact that the character is so unlikeable is the way the part is written or is it the actor. I like Lisardo and don't mean to be critical, but something about the performance seems to be "off".

Great comments. tofie, "Ana - I'm allergic to passion fruit" made me laugh out loud.

Diana

Diana, I think Lisardo is playing this character not as we saw him in CME. There he was sort of slimey/charming, but there was almost a grace and elegance to how he slithered through scenes and you could almost buy why SN's character could be around him. We the audience caught the hair sniffing and sneers, but the other characters saw an intelligent charmer who didn't let his guard down until towards the end.

Here, he's just creepy, bossy, egominical, a player with women and I think being played as obsessive about his revenge bordering on madness. Cue the scenes with his father--there is something very uncomfortable there, not a son showing love for an ailing father. The groping, the twisted face, not natural reactions. There isn't a moment frankly when these characters shouldn't be thinking "Man, there is something so off with this guy. we should stay away".

Fer is not a good judge of people, as we know, because he picked up no clues from this guy at the interview and Eeky came in with an attitude. I hire people a lot and the way he came in, how he was dressed and sat in the chair, I would have been "Thanks for coming. We'll be calling"...that you didn't get the job. Shouldn't have mattered that Isa recommended him. Where's Fer's business instincts?

Daisynjay

Agreed! Fer even heard about Enfrique's little tiff with Fanny at the reception desk when he first arrived. Anyone who stirred up even that hint of trouble upon his arrival for his interview would be someone I wouldn't hire, and especially for a vice president position. A guy who lacks basic manners is a guy you do NOT want representing your company.

Julia:
Unfortunately basic manners are very much lacking in today's workforce. But all things considered, I would never have hired someone with IkkyLizard's attitude. Attitude is one of the most important job skills--an employee can be taught new things, only if they have a good attitude, not a self-serving one.

I'd agree that it wouldn't necessarily be a disqualifying factor for an entry-level, or even lower-mid-level, employee. But a VICE PRESIDENT?!?! At that level, he shouldn't have to be trained in basic things like civility.

Enfrique has some gross sense of entitlement and is too full of himself. Just like Hissabela.

Both deserve very intense Karmageddons.

ITA. let the anvils rain on them.
