Que Te Perdone Dios Capitulo 5 ~Discussion

Hello guys, feel free to discuss the todays episode which was quite depressing i must say and the town is in an desperate need of an exorcist ! I  am sure that either Eli or CS are working on the recap so do not worry about that. However just in case,  if it is not up by tommorow, maybe i will write it myself, they are probably still sleeping so i will give it rest.

Enjoy!

My mom was watching this episode yesterday anf it confirmed exactly what I thought...this novela is a copy and paste of abrazame muy fuerte.

As much as people hate remakes for changing details of the story it does make the novela more exciting because you dont know whats going to happen despite it having the same structure.

Glad some are enjoying it but I hope something more original comes to the states soon.

It is still way too early to suggest that it is a copy pasta,so far i am enjoying it because of the cast. It also helps me that i have not seen the original novela but i am aware of the structure. I hope there will be some original twists added to the novela.

Anyway Fausto showed his true sociopathic self and im glad they did not spend 50 episodes covering to Renata that it was Fausto who offed Pablo.
I was wondering if Mateo and Diana( Altair Jarabo) already knew eachother since they were making out so passionately. Or was the love on first sight too damn strong for the hormones to resist??

Also i cannot wait until Laisha Wilkings and Fabian Robles appear again. The aspect of the twin villians intrigues me.In Abrazame they were much older ,but i guess this aspect will be a subject for change.

Bruno was complicit in Pablo's death.

Well we have never seen Bruno ordering his death but i wouldnt be suprised. The one who contributed to his death the most was Macaria since Fausto had no idea who he actually was until Mac told him.

My favorite scene: Constanza, though now a bit crazy, becoming a tell-it-like-it-is truthteller. She's got Macaria's number. That was unexpected and very satisfying.

My biggest disappointment: Rebecca Jones' Renata is as clueless as the younger version, still thinking Macaria is the best friend ever. I'm ready for a Renata hellbent on vengeance.

Altair's character seems the same as the one in Abismo. Countx, my take is that she and Doc Mateo already knew each other.

I like adult Diego (Ferdinando Valencia), and also liked young Diego and Mateo, who gave very natural performances. I hope the writers don't waste Diego on simply pining for Abigail.

Waiting for Fabian Robles and Laisha Wilkins.

Since there isn't a recap yet,i guess i will have to write it myself unless someone could fill me in for today,.

Countx, from comments late yesterday evening I believe the recap is brewing with Eli. Since we have the weekend to discuss, we have plenty of time for it to arrive.

Yeah i will wait for it until tomorrow ,if there is not a recap by then i will write it myself.

So we are this early in the novela and we already have a recorded rape, i told you Fausto was the Cancer with A Nice Hat and oh how right I was!

I also like Diego but i do not know why does Macy have such hatred against him, maybe
because she knew his parents or is (Laughs) ,one of them?

I'm still catching up from Thursday.

Sometimes I really like this and other times I can't stand it. I have to hit the mute button every time Renata or Constansa starts to cry.

And can we please do away with the marital rape plot line? Please?

Early on, Macwitch (Macaria) was taunting another servant that her daughter had gotten pregnant, abandoned the child (Diego). So the grandmother was now raising him. The child Diego overheard and stood his ground with Mac and defended his mom by saying that she had not abandoned him, because she was returning for him. I think Mac hates him because Diego's mom might have been willing or unwilling Fausto lover (he has the rep). Could Diego be his love child? Did someone disappear her? Like Pablo was? Hmmmm

Sara, yes ITA. The marital rape scene is on the heels of LQLVMR, I didn't like it even then although I LOVE Rulli.
I hate Sergio and I was sickened and repulsed to no end.

Novella - I remember that scene and it wouldn't surprise me to find out that Diego belongs to Fausto! And I think I was annoyed by the rape scene because, like you said, it was right on the heels of LQLVMR. I hope this doesn't become a regular thing in TNs.

NovellaLover ,its highly possible that Diego could be Fausto's love child as you said or there was some other Scumbag we have never heard of yet,.

Poor Renata ,how could have she lived all these years blind with an abusive husband,it must have been a nightmare. .
Atleast Alejandro had the decency to "apoligize" ,while Fausto simply brushed it off and most probably have done it multiple times again after all these years.

While watching last night without the help of language understanding
here are a few of my thoughts.

Renata certainly did everything wrong, made ALL the wrong moves period. #1 It has been said that if you ever point a gun at someone, you had better be prepared to use it. In Renata's case, it seemed to be nothing more than a bluff and Fausto called her bluff. I knew that it was all but over when he started inching closer to him and she just continued ranting. When he got close enough, it was as easy as taking candy away from a baby.

#2 If you decide to run, run out the front or side door and hide in
the bushes or in the barn. Don't run upstairs to the bedroom where he can break the door down if you can manage to get it closed, (she didn't) and can throw you down on the bed and have his way with you.

#3 How about some sharp fingernails across his face? She didn't try that.

$4 After the rape, she was crying and took off her wedding ring--too
late. She should have done that in the church right after the man that forced her to marry (her father) died. Vivi said yesterday that that the vows has been spoken and that the Catholic church is very strict. I don't care. She should have taken the ring off right then, thrown it in the priest's direction and yelled loudly that she had been forced into this and for now---I'm out of here. However instead, she wept over her mean father. Family ties must have been very strong but I don't understand why.

#5 She decided to get to the car and make a run for it. Great but why try it when everyone is awake and looking out the window at the rain? Why not wait until everyone was asleep to make your run for it?

There were comments galore at how
dumb Maricruz had become, the same with Esmeralda. What about Renata? In the game of baseball it's three strikes and you're out.
Last night I counted five strikes
Renata doesn't seem to be any smarter than her predecessors.

Yes Maggie---I still going crazy with all of the characters and new ones each day. This ones a couple, that ones a couple, brother-in-law, cousin, nephew, love child, servant????? I'm need more brain cells. I think that maybe a few of them have stalled out.

Time jump---I didn't see it on the screen. 8/10/12 years?

And one more thing. It is obvious that this is up to date today (late model SUV's) so what was with the candles in the first or second episode? They have electricity.

Tofie---The raisin is back.

Victoria had asked yesterday if those of us watching LM were liking this.

My intention was to watch until the adult Renata and Macaria appeared.
But, I think I may stay on for a bit. I like Sabine, Altair, Zuria and also Mark (who I'd been lukewarm on previously). I do not care for Sergio - while he has the villain part down pat, he possesses little charm or charisma, and to see those beautiful women fawning all over him is jut not believable.

I have never seen Rebecca Jones so can't comment on the actor. I am dismayed that she shows no fire or anger as you noted Niecie.

Sara, the marital rape scene was painful to watch.

Still eagerly waiting for Fabian.

Diana

Diana- I have seen Rebecca Jones in Cuna de lobos, Para Volver a Amar and Señora Acero. She was determined in those roles.

I'm not sure I'm liking her in this role, but it's only been a day.

gringo, our comments crossed.

You made some excellent points regarding Renata. I'm not sure how old the "younger" Renata was supposed to be, but she has made one poor choice after another...

Some of us have said she should have fled well before the forced marriage. When she finally did try, there could hardly have been a worse outcome. Her bad decisions have been exacerbated by even worse luck.

Diana

Diana, Renata did try to flee before forced marriage but it did not work because the dumb bunny yelled at her father that she was running away, so he locked her up. Same boo boo with ugh Fausto, she told him she was leaving him, so of course he was on preventive look out. Cant, well I can believe she still there, resigned to her fate. She coulda pulled a Katie Holmes and hired the best attorney in the Captial to get her hacienda back. She could've proved he was abusive and could not remain, the will stipulated that he was to treat them well, otherwise the will could be revoked.

I'll have a recap up later this afternoon, remember I'm on the West Coast!

I believe they said that Abigail is now 18, so it's been 18 years that Renata and her mother Constanza have lived under Fausto occupation.

I don't think Renata cares if Fausto is doing Mac. Maybe she looks other way becsuse she so indebted to Mac.
Okay, I have a gripe, having to do with characters. Like Gringo mentioned it is confusing keeping track of the new characters in our new telenovela. Why did they need to have two Renatas and two Macaria's??? They could have aged them a bit, it is so hilarious that Fausto, Constanza, Helena and maids all look exactly the same. Only two little boys and Abigail needed older characters. My mom and I watching from beginning and last nite she was all confused. When the new Renata was speaking w priest, she says "who's that"??? I kept telling her it was Renata, she kept saying "no, no its not." I had to pause and explain they used different actress to portray a now older Renata. Why, she asked everyone else looks the same?" Then they showed Sabine, same convo, "thats not Macaria," Finally, she threw hands in air. Now my mom doesnt suffer from alzheimers, she very into novelas. We all need to watch and kerp trsck of characters because when we see new face, we need to figure out if it is a brand new character or a "different actor" playing an old existing character.

Good Eli,i wish you happy writing!
And i kind of wonder ,who is going to watch over that the deal is not broken ,in case of abuse? I would have imagined that some kind of inspection exists for the Testaments to make sure there was no abuse or lack of fulfillment of the conditions ,and to make financial revisions of every single condition. If they exist, where the hell are they, underground?

financial and other revisions*

Looking forward to the recap.

While I'm watching this, my mom went back and is watching Abrazame Muy Fuerte. We are kinda comparing the original to the remake.

Since I haven't seen AMF I was surprised that Renata ended up blind. I was wondering what was going to happen to her. I was hoping she wouldn't die like Pablo, but I guess IF she had they would've finally been reunited in a sense.

I am noticing a lot of similarities between this tn and Abismo, not just the music. I guess Altair's character, Diana, will be similar to her character Florencia in Abismo. I like seeing Sabine again. I like her hair. So Lucio has a crush on her?

Speaking of Lucio, he and Fausto didn't seem to age. They look exactly the same. I was surprised
Constanza went a little crazy. Technically she was
making sense though.

Can I call Diego "Adolfito" instead? (Hopefully most of you know why I wanna call him that haha)

TF as I watched Friday's episode I also felt like I was watching a variation on the Abismo theme. Rainy car crashes, cenote dipping, long vests.

IMO there are so many flaws to this thing, but I can't stop watching. Lol.

You're right, Sara. All those things you mentioned are also what makes QTPD very similar to Abismo.

Abismo was very watchable, too. I just hope that this one isn't artificially extended. I didn't like how Abismo started to feel like it was dragging.

Yeah Sara. I agree. I liked Abismo. I liked the story. Usually in the last weeks of any tn it starts to drag and even get a little ridiculous.

Someone help! I'd like to merge this thread with my recap but don't know how.

I have a bigger problem tho, Google is telling me Caray Caray does not exist and when I try to edit my previous post to write my recap I can't. Help!

I never recapped, but could you post it ad if posting comment? I think that is how Diana posted sometimes. "I think."

CountX,
I am curious. Is that your picture that shows up when you comment? Looks like actor who comes out in Hasta El Fin de Mundo. The crooked guero guy. I dont know if you are his fan and using his picture, or if is a picture of you. I hope you dont mind me asking.

Hey Everyone,

Eli has posted Part 1 of episode five on another post. It's the first one at the top, you can't miss it.

Hasta pronto...

The recap is DONE!

Novellalover ,the one in the picture is as you guessed,Roberto Ballesteros who currently potrays Renzi in Hasta El Fin Del Mundo!

Roberto Palazuelos not Ballesteros .

Ok thank you CountXAlacran
