Mi Corazon es tuyo, #176, Thursday GRAN FINAL – Part 1: Par de clonas

Hello, everybody! This is my last recap for Mi Corazon es tuyo and it so happens to be the second to last episode, so I hope I do it justice.
Since I watched on line like I usually do, I’m not entirely sure where the episode ended on your TV’s since mine had about 130 minutes. I checked on Univision and the original Mexican recap and I tried to stop my writing accordingly, but I’m not sure if I succeeded. So, if you read about something that you haven’t seen, yet, or I missed part of the episode’s ending, I’m sorry.

Recapping this show has been fun, especially at first when the stories where fresh and more exciting. Of course we had to go through the same extensions that Televisa usually employs to prolong the successful shows, but all in all, I think this was a good story, with some decent acting and a few genuinely funny moments.
Thank you all for your appreciation and praise of my recaps. Especially since I haven't been my best self lately, because, SPOILET ALERT, Ana and Silvia Navarro are not the only ones who got pregnant during the shooting of this show – I did, too. So I might take a break from watching silly dramas for a while…
Yeah, right! Who am I kidding? When is the Ivan Sanchez one starting?

Without further ado ….

Ana and Fernando are kissing in their bedroom, when the kids show up, screaming and jumping on the bed. Apparently they still don’t know if they are having a brother or a sister, Ana and Fer are keeping it a secret. They are almost careful not to suffocate Ana, but they do start to draw on her huge belly, with Fernando looking on, lovingly.
At night Fernando is woken up by Ana’s scream. He thinks that she’s going into labor, but what she's having are cravings: for lemons, lemonade, strawberries or chocolate. She’s not very sure, but Fer is trying to be patient (it’s obvious she’s been doing this all through the pregnancy – poor guy). Then Ana decides that she doesn’t want to eat, after all, she just wants him to stand by her side. She gets nervous, afraid that he won’t be with her when she has to give birth. He promises that he will never leave her side, which automatically means that he will most definitely have to.

The next morning comes and all the Lascurains are having breakfast. Ana is eating a lot, but she explains that she’s eating for two. She and Fer exchange winks, because she’s actually eating for three and they are the only ones who know about it for now.
It’s a miracle they managed to keep this a secret in a house where no door is ever locked or at the very least shut.
Fer receives a call from the office. Apparently there is a problem in San Luis Potosi and he has to travel there for a day.
Ana doesn’t mind him leaving, but she does get worried after, remembering Fer’s promise to be by her side when she gives birth.

Isa is at home, upset that she only has one pistachio left. She’s out of money because of Arquimedes (I think what she means to say is because of her own greed and stupidity). She’s still full of hate against the Lascurains and she wants to continue tormenting them. I don’t know why, but she still has access to the company e-mail, because she receives all the travel information for Fernando’s trip outside of town and she decides to go mess with him. She’s sure that Ana won’t be with him, because by now she’s about to burst (which is rather correct, because Ana is huuuge).

Fanny, Edith and Ximena are hanging out, but while Fanny is trying to talk to her friends, the two girls are not paying too much attention, as they're both thinking about Nando. Fanny guesses what is going through their heads and the girls admit to it. But they also say that they realized that loving one’s self is more important than loving a boy and sometimes having good friends is more important than love. Look at them, ready to sing Cumbaya! If this show ever gets a sequel, I can almost see these two becoming sister wives. 8 months and still thinking about Nando’s kisses?

Talking about the studly teenager, he is with his studly uncle and they both have the sads because they are single. At least now they both know that playing with other people’s feelings is not OK. Nando has decided to study astrophysics, which comes as no surprise for Diego. He knows he has all the time in the world to date and find another woman (hopefully this time it will only be one). Diego says that he has made a lot of mistakes in the past, too, not taking any of his relationships seriously. But now he’s ready to change, willing to commit to one woman.

At night Ana and Fer talk on the phone. His business is solved, he’ll be back home early the next morning. Everything is OK at the house, too; the kids that have already been born were doing their usual stuff during the day and the ones that are yet to come have been good, too. Fer thinks that Ana is an incredible woman and he’s sure that she is going to be a spectacular mother. (Hellooo! She already is!) After a last beso de amor, they hang up.
Fer is getting ready to go to sleep when there is a knock at the door. He can’t see anyone through the peephole, but when he opens, Isabela shows up. He’s not happy to see her, but she couldn’t care less. She greets him like this was a romantic rendez-vous and before he can shut the door in her face she manages to spray him, partially blinding him just enough to get inside the room. He falls on the bed – the spray has a sleeping pill effect, too. Soon enough he dozes off while Isabela happily tells the audience that she found inspiration in several telenovelas for this trick.

At the mansion Ana wakes up screaming – the babies are coming. She yells for Fanny, who doesn’t know what to do. Then Ana asks for Diego to come. Soon enough the whole house is up and Fanny and Diego are taking Ana to the hospital. She is screaming, the kids are all hysterical – I would think that at least the older ones would be used to this type of situations by now. After too much time is wasted with good byes and a few more screams from Ana, they finally leave for the hospital.
Once there, Fanny and Diego try to reach Fernando, but he’s still knocked out by whatever Isabela gave him. When they see that they can’t reach him, Fanny sends him a text, letting him know that Ana is giving birth. Isabela is very happy with the fortunate coincidence. She only wanted to be a pest, but having Fernando miss the birth of his child is a wonderful coincidence. She declares her love for Fernando, kisses him and takes a picture, cuddles next to him in bed.

Back at the hospital, Ana wants Fernando to be there with her. Sole tries to calm her, it will take a while before the baby comes, but Ana is afraid that Fer won’t make it in time. Besides, she feels that something is not right.
As Fernando is coming to his senses, Ana calls his cell and this time Isabela picks up. She tells Ana that she and Fernando are together and she’s not entirely sure if he’s asleep or dead. Ana gets nervous, after she hangs up she received the picture with the kiss. Diego says that he’s going to get his brother.

Fernando is up on his feet, but still very dizzy. Isabela explains that the spray put him to sleep only for a little while and she only came to nag him. Diego calls again and manages to tell Fernando that Ana is about to give birth. Someone knocks at the door, too, the hotel staff has been notified about Fer not answering the calls and they came to check on him. Isabela realizes that her fun time is over and leaves, while Fernando tries to come to his senses enough so that he can pack his bags. He tells the hotel employee to call for his driver, tell him that they are leaving immediately.

At the hospital, Ana is in the delivery room. Apparently she’s been in labor for several hours, but she doesn’t have enough strength to push, anymore. The doctor asks her to make an effort, but Ana is exhausted and can’t do it without Fernando.
At home the kids and Bruno & Manuela are praying for Ana – the scene is very touching, it kind of makes me cry, but I cry about everything these days.
Back at the hospital the doctor pleads with Ana to push, but she seems too weak to do so. Luckily Fernando arrives just in time to see the head of the first baby. He hugs Ana and gives her all the strength that she was lacking before.
Moments later each is carrying a perfectly clean and adorable little baby.
The next day Ana and Fer are in Ana’s room, preparing to tell the kids that they had twin girls. They already had the names picked up and they think they should baptize the girls quickly.

Isabela is at home, eating chips and promising that she will continue to mess with the Lascurains. And this time she has her heart set on tormenting the little twin girls.
She starts talking to the camera again and the camera throws balloons and other stuff at her, calling her evil. This is just too ridiculous, so we’re moving on.

Unfortunately we don’t see the actual moment when the kids find out they have not one, but two new siblings (wasted moment, this would have made for a nice scene). But we see the Welcome home moment. The house is decorated with all kind of messages, like Bienvenidas, Clonas (my favorite), Somos Ninas and so on. Diego Nicolas, who looks to be about two years old, is there, too, but the poor kid makes the scene a little bit difficult because he’s obviously too little to be in a room with so many lights and people with cameras.
Ana and Fernando arrive with the girls. Leon asks his suegro if he plans to have a soccer team (only one to go, Fer, so think about it). They talk about the baptism and how they already picked up the names. Ana is very happy and tells everyone that she has already invited some people. As she starts saying names, we realize that they better plan on  renting a big enough place for the party.

And of course they do! A stadium! The main cast is in the middle of the field with what I suppose are fans of the show in the audience, clapping their hands.
Ana gives a little speech, thanking everyone for being there and being part of their love story.
Isabela is present, too, among the audience. She’s wearing a hoodie, but for someone as expert at disguise as she is, this is a very weak attempt to blend in. Just saying.
Aside from the family, Yolanda and Pablo are also there.
The baptism begins and we find out the names of the girls: Ana Soledad and Ana Estefania. I can maybe agree with the first one, but the second one?? Calling your child after your husband’s deceased wife? That seems too much to me, especially since we already have an Estefania in the house. How will they call the new baby? Fanny jr? Just seems silly for me.
After the baptism is over Fernando makes a speech, too. He talks about love and how Ana changed his life, teaching him how to have faith and hope for the future. Ana reciprocates by saying how he has given her everything that she has always wanted – a family to call her own.
As Isabela yells back in the audience, all the Lascurains burst into song.
After, it’s Leon’s turn to be in the spotlight. He once again asks Fanny to marry him, but sometime in the future, which is very well from where I stand. She agrees and then she starts serenading him with their song, which is still very sweet and very telling for their history and the place they reached now in their relationship. Fanny still has some growing up to do, which happily Leon now understand and is willing to support. Mauricio is there, too, very happy with the outcome, but I think the poor little actor has been woken up to do his scene because he’s not his usually perky self.
In the audience two spectators recognize Isabela and start shouting at her, prompting everyone else to call her Bruja loud enough for Ana and Fer, back on the stage, to hear. Some pictures are taken and sent to our protagonists.

In the meantime, on another side of the stadium Diego and the younger kids are playing soccer with what I can only guess are famous Mexican soccer players. They talk about the game for a while, the older player has twin girls that Alex and Guille seem to like. When Diego receives the text with Isabela’s picture at the stadium, they all decide to head back to the baptism.

Back at the circus main stage, everyone is on to Isabela and she realizes that she can’t steal the babies anymore. Ana and Fer advice the entire audience to say “Cancela, Cancela”, so that Isabela won’t be able to do whatever she planned on doing. Ana even teaches Fer the right hand movement to use while saying the words.
Isabela doesn’t get discouraged by an entire stadium boohooing her. She sees a stadium employee carrying a tray of cupcakes and she follows him inside.

As Diego and the kids prepare to join the rest of the family, a sexy lady dressed in white and riding a motorcycle almost runs over Diego. It’s love at first sight for these two – she’s a photographer, too, I think she came to take pictures of the baptism (you’re very late!!!) With the kids looking on in disbelief, Diego and his new conquest, Esperanza, start making out, 2.5 seconds after meeting. This has all the ingredients of becoming a serious relationship (or, at the very least, a very passionate fling).

According to the Mexican recaps here is where the episode should end. I don’t have any previews, but I hope I haven’t spoiled anything of Friday’s episode.
I can only guess that Isabela gets defeated once and for all; Fernando gets his soccer team after an 11th child is born in a couple of years; Ana has to go back to work the pole because 11 kids is just too much!

Thank you all for reading my recaps and see you around the board!
Besos tronados to each and every one of you!

Congrats, Adriana!! That's wonderful news! I hope you don't mind me busting in on y'all's thread to congratulate you.

(Lo imperdonable is the new Ivan Sanchez one. It starts after Hasta in Mexico. Not sure about the US.)

Happy for Ana giving birth to a beautiful baby: Fernando's 9th kid correct?

Adriana, Thanks so much for your always witty and right-on-target recaps. And FELICIDADES! Beautiful news.

Lots of real goofy evil and happy crazyness last night. We got a preview of the road show and the new little twins were pretty adorable. Little DN is up and running around now, too. And Aura has a home.

We didn't on Univision get to see the identity of the motorcycle woman. I thought -- as I think they wanted us to think -- that it was Isabela, about to run over Diego. I had this awful thought that he might be goner. Glad to hear that he has found someone in the end.

Gracias, Adriana. I think you overshot the midpoint, but only by one scene.

Steve, it was twin girls, so now there are ten children. Either the cost of food is very low in Mexico or Fernando is as rich as Bill Gates.

The throne room on Mount Olympus was filled with gods, goddesses, nymphs, sprites, and a few immortal creatures. Athena's favorite owl flew in and perched on her well-armored shoulder. Pegasus stood patiently near the thrones while Hera's favorite peacocks walked around in formation and occasionally displayed their elegant plumage. A long table held challises, plates, and bowls made of platinum and decorated with gold and diamonds. The daughters of Atlas arrived with their harvest of golden apples in beautiful cornucopiae, which they placed on the banquet table. They then curtsied before Hera and Zeus. This was the sign that all was ready.

Apollo plucked at his lyre and the Muses began to sing. Aphrodite and Eros entered, leading Estefania. She wore a long, white peplos gown. Her glowing hair spilled onto her shoulders in elegant waves. She was barefoot as she walked on the fine purple carpet. She had never been more beautiful. They stopped before Zeus and Hera. A few moments later the song ended and the king and queen of the gods stood and extended their hands to her. Aphrodite nodded and Estefania ascended the nine steps to the throne level. Zeus and Hera looked out among the others.

“On this great day,” he announced. “we welcome a new goddess to our fold. She will help us to steer mortals to a more positive future for their kind. Aphrodite, will you come forward?”

Aphrodite ascended the steps and stood beside Estefania. Zeus and Hera nodded and she began the chant. As the Muses took up the melody Aphrodite held out her hand and Hesperia, one of Atlas' daughters, approached with a tray holding a chalice, a bowl, and a plate. Aphrodite held the bowl out to Estefania and nodded; she ate of the ambrosia. The chalice was presented and she drank the nectar. The plate was presented and she bit into the golden apple. A bright light shown that would have blinded a mortal and when it faded to a glow Estefania was wearing golden sandals, a gold necklace with many faceted stones of the finest rose quartz, and a gold crown with the same stones. Her gown was edged in gold and a little more closely fitted. Her hair was upswept with a graceful fall behind her neck. Aphrodite and Hera both smiled their approval. Zeus then spoke again.

“Aphrodite has long wanted assistance in the difficult task of insuring love among mortals, who live in a world that makes love difficult to flourish. You have long had our notice as one who knows the power of love be it carnal or familial. In your mortal life you also helped people in need. We therefore welcome you as the first of the Guardians of Love.”

“I am honored, Your Majesty,” she said. “I hope to serve well in this capacity.”

Aphrodite kissed Estefania on both cheeks and took her hands. All applauded. Hermes stopped suddenly, a look of confusion on his face.

“What's wrong, Uncle?” asked Eros.

“If I'm not mistaken, when Ana and Fernando's time comes they will be here, too. How is Fernando going to choose between Ana and Estefania?”

“No te preocupes; I've already taken care of that. Look.” He nodded toward the dais.

Apollo put down his lyre and stepped forward. Aphrodite stepped aside so that he could approach her new assistant. He knelt before her.

“Estefania, your beauty, honesty, and strength place you beyond compare of all mortal women I have known. You will be this for all eternity. Will you accept my love?”

Estefania looked down at the handsome god. She admitted to herself that his blond hair, blue eyes, and splendid physique were supernaturally perfect. She smiled and said, “I will.”

The Muses began singing again and the feast began.

“OK, Nephew, how did you know? Or were you doing target practice again?” He mimed shooting an arrow.

“It's simple, Uncle. Love and Truth are the greatest of all virtues. They belong together because together they can conquer the worst of evils.”

Hermes gave Eros the high sign as Apollo and Estefania kissed.

Fin ?

I agree. Alot of goofiness in this episode. Isabella is trying to keep it interesting but she can only do so much.

I'm surprised they recycled the family sing-a-long again. Looks like they're trying to kill time till the last episode.

Didn't know that the girl who plays Fanny actually sings that song ,she sung to Leon, in real life. Very nice voice!

Edith and Ximena still thinking about kissing Nando, 8 months later? The excuse they told Fanny didn't jive with what was going on in their mind. Maybe they should just realize that they need this ,now 18 year old, boy and have some type of relationship where Ximena has him one week and Edith has him the next. Because after 8 months and you're still daydreaming about him it doesn't make sense.

Surprised they didn't have Isabella at 300lbs by now and i'm also assuming there was no fallout from her attack on Fer in the hotel. It would've been more believalbe had she used chloroform.

Your're right Adriana, Diego looks huge, isn't he suppose to be about a little over a year old? That kid looks at least 2 years old.

I got confused at the end of your recap about what happened with the motorcycle and assumed also that it was Isabella, but re-reading it I saw you were talking about the next episode and who the rider was.

Tks so much Adriana Noel for all the great recaps. And,congrats! must be sth in the telenovela water.

The heavy woman that recognized Isa, is the wrong Ana that was on the way to her boda, who Isa left on the cliff. I've seen her in another novela, just can't remember which one.

Adriana, great news!! having a baby is always a blessing... hope it goes smoothly for you.
when Ana woke Fernando with a scream she was having a cramp on her foot, that is why she lifted her leg for him to massage it.
and she was asking him for popsicles, but kept changing the flavor she wanted so he sat down on the chair until she had made up his mind, then she cancelled the popsicle order and asked him to come lay beside her, which he did.

Loved the scene of the kids painting on her belly and Fernando watching lovingly, although not sure if they were using nontoxic paint. i hope so.

and yes, the episode ended with the motorcycle woman about to run Diego over and the twins and Sebas and Luz screaming in horror thinking he was going to be hurt. Yes, they made it look like it was Isa on the motorcycle about to run Diego over.

About Diego Nicolas, who looks to be about two years old, is there, too, but the poor kid makes the scene a little bit difficult because he’s obviously too little to be in a room with so many lights and people with cameras. ITA. Actually you could see Jorge, with one of the clonas in his arm, keeping an eye on DN since he was heading to the door while everyone else was saying their lines... you can tell Jorge is a very active father or was when his children were little. I know he has not had any with Elizabeth but i believe he has others from prev relationships. (he behaves like it in any case)
I was a bit confused with the clonas names too... esp Ana Estefa.
One could be nicknamed Anasol, but the other one? AnaFan?
One of the ladies who identified Hissa in the crowd was the same lady who played the other 'Ana bride'.

and the word Hissa told Fernando that she liked to do to him was 'fastidiar', which means to annoy, to hassle, to bother, to be a Pain in the A...

thank you so much Adriana, you always made me laugh with your side comments...
the stadium was a bit much, even when in teh end of the cuddling with the twins scene Fernando said he wanted the christening to be a BIG EVENT, AWESOME!! MAJESTIC!!...

on to read the comments from Mt O.

well, Ana said she wanted to have the 9th, 10th maybe the 11th... before her 'cajita de bebes' ran out...

UA, awesome way to end the Fanny Sr. story... goddess indeed. she looked so angelic and godly at the wedding. I liked the fact that she just nodded at them in approval and no words were needed.

Thank you, thank you for recapping for us. What you guys do for us is selfless.

UA, fitting end!

Gosh, over the top is an understatement but when you got a hit why not promo the road show.

Good for Diego.

Couldn't they have named one of the girls for Fernando's mother? Did we ever hear her name she was so rarely mentioned?

All that praise I heaped on X&E, I take back.

Wow, what a weird insertion of another celebrity buddy of Osorio's, a football coach.

i liked Ana's comment to Fernando 'you got here on photo finish, but you got here!' (llegaste rayando pero llegaste!)

Especially grateful for the recap since I messed up recording and only caught the last 15 minutes. Which caused me to wonder what the heck was I seeing?! Have to try and find it online to catch what I missed.

Congratulations Adriana! Wonderful news!

“That seems too much to me, especially since we already have an Estefania in the house.”

I was thinking the same thing. Why two daughters with the same name? Even if “Ana” is tacked onto the name.

“She sees a stadium employee carrying a tray of cupcakes and she follows him inside.”

And that’s the end of that alleged plot since the next time we see Bela she on a motorcycle.

“As Diego and the kids prepare to join the rest of the family, a sexy lady dressed in white and riding a motorcycle almost runs over Diego.”

Ah! The episode ended as the lady in the motorcycle appeared. We did not see who it was. I thought it was Bela trying to run over Diego. Kissing after 2.5 seconds?! No, actually it was after about 1 week, but Osorio, having run out of budget and time decided to cut all the scenes leading up to the kiss then just a moment before the kiss transported them back in time to the baptism 2.5 seconds after they met.

This also means that if it wasn’t Bela in the motorcycle then there is still a chance that the novella will follow up with her following that stadium employee.

Is it just me, or did they make Diego Nicolas disappear? I did not see him at all during the 8 months that passed. There was another toddler standing besides Mau at the baptism, but the age did not fit. But then again, the timeline on this story is a bit kooky. Someone that posted calculated 10 months from the time that Ana got pregnant to when the clones V2 were born. Ok, so the Internet (that all knowing oracle) says that babies walk (well) sometime between 10 and 15 months so I guess that it does fit, still that toddler looked too old...

What left me scratching my head is when Ana woke up and she yelled for Fanny. Fanny? Why not her mom? And when Fanny came running why didn’t her mom too? I am sure they were both within earshot. It seems that Soledad took a background role whereas she should have been front and center during this critical time.

Fantastic! Now Wile E. Bela turns into Bela Hill! Did you guys see that small blue ball that hit her? I threw that ball!

Variopinta: It is Michelle Rodriguez. She was the feisty maid that wanted to be a singer in Amores Verdaderos.

Adriana; Congrats! Big Lascurain hug for you!

Adriana, first and foremost congratulations on your baby news! Second, thank you for a novela's worth of excellent recaps.

What a great episode!

My favorite scene was "we" giving Isabela a pie in her face and then pelting her with balls in one if her famous aside scenes. A pie in the face is only second to a whoopee cushion in my book. We were lucky enough to have both and an electrical hand buzzer in this one. Too funny!

I also loved the intermingling of novela and reality at the stadium.

What a great choice of names for the twins with Estefanía and Soledad being honored.

Great marriage proposal from León.

Jarifa

Thank you for an awesome last recap! I can't believe tonight is the last night.

Agree with everyone about the name of twin two. Fanny is already named for her mother so don't need a second.

Agree about Xime and Edith still dreaming of Nando 8 months later? Does he have drugged lips or something? Geez girls, so lame.

I stopped reading the recap when found out that Isa wasn't the one on the motorcycle. Trying to leave myself some suspense.

Salvador, Jarifa...
that is a great way to interpret the rain of beach and plastic and rubber balls thrown at Hissa after we get fed up with her commenting to us what she is doing or about to do... PRICELESS!@!! the big beach ball was mine!!

I think we may have heard Nick's wife's name mentioned in the opening episode, since her ashes are in a niche adjacent to Estefania's. However, I don't think he's mentioned her name since.

I thought about that, too, but that little girl will be "Ana Estefania".

Thank you, all, for the good wishes.
Marta, your memory never fails to amaze me. You get all the details and your re-telling of the story is always spot on.
Urban, as always your side story was a great read. If Fer can get a happy ending on Earth, why can't Estefania, too, in Olympus Heaven.
I like the name Anasol for one of the twins. Maybe the other one could be Stefy?
I found the whole baptism ridiculous, too big of a fuss.
IMO, the show should have ended with Ana and Fer kissing, Isa should just take a break from hating the Lascurains and go fish for another rich husBand.
Gotta go now, I'm at work, but hopefuly I'll be able to come back soon.

9&10

Kirby, are you talking about the possible nicknames for the babies? 9 & 10!!! brilliant!!! too funny!!
I am assuming the turkey is gone, as is the long lost ferret.

AdrianaNoel,
It was a great recap, thanks so much for the big final effort! But the best congratulations I reserve for you, our fellow Caray-mate, on your special upcoming baby event! Best wishes!

J in Oregon

Wow, my comment got lost again. I'll try it again.

Congrats on the baby, and thanks for the recap!

It seems there was alot of goofiness in this episode and it was ratched up for the closing.

Edith and Ximena's are still dreaming about kissing Nando after 8 months and then give Fanny a sorry a** reason for their thoughts didn't jive. So much for being strong. I have an idea, since these two women need an 18 year old(he should be 18 by this time) how about Ximena have him one week and Edith have him the next week and then they rotate. These women are pathetic.

I assume there is no fallout from Isa's attack on Fer since she's till running around spewing nonsense.

I also didn't like the names for the twins, didn't make sense to me.

Did they have to recycle the family sing-a-long again? Looks like they trying to kill time.

I also didn't know the girl who plays Fanny actually sings that song in real life. She has a nice voice.

The baptism was way over the top, but everything this show does goes over the top so I should'nt be surprised.

I too thought the woman on the bike was isabella, but it appears not.

Yes, Diego looks awfully big for his age. wasn't he only about 3 or 4 months when Ana became pregnant? So he should be about 15 months. That kid looked much older.

Manuela told the kids that the turkey went to a farm. Which is what is often told to children in the US when their parents have a pet euthanized. However, Manuela looked sincere. The turkey she served at Christmas dinner looked a little smaller.

Perhaps Nueve sires entire flocks of turkey chicks.

Congrats to you, Adriana Noel. Somehow getting pregnant near the finale of a series about such a large family is appropriate.

I remember Uni repeating the Robo final (or maybe it was PEAM) on the Sunday after the initial airing. I checked their schedule and it shows MCET programmed for 3 hours. Maybe the final + the alternative endings? Or special features? Anyway, very glad I can catch the part I missed.

Maybe they're going to show more of the road show.

Nanette, what time is the 3-hr finale scheduled for? I wonder if they will show the 'Hoy' special that is on youtube as part of that.

Never got around to actually watching this show, but I've been keeping up with all the great recaps. Just popped in to say congrats to Adriana Noel! And also to the gods of UA for keeping me on top of all this. Think we'll still see Silvia Navarro around on tv?

Kelly

UA: thank you for the lovely story. I especially liked seeing Athena. I carry a little pewter owl charm with me all the time because an intuitive I know told me that she's with me.

“Este” as a nickname? I know it’s not ideal, but it would be too confusing calling the baby “Fanny” or “Estefania”—since there are times when Fanny is called “Estefania”. Just read Adriana’s choice. I agree. “Stefy” or “Stef”, “Stefanie” would be good choices.

I think it’s not very logical for Edith and Ximena to still be thinking of Nando in that way. But one can be deeply in love and not be able to get over it completely—unless, perhaps—a new, better love comes along. In this situation, it is kind of farcical though. I think it's just a major crush for both of them--and Nando, too.

Marta: 9 am-12 pm Pacific Time.

Felicidades, Adriana, on your wonderful news! And gracias for your faithful and excellent recapping! Best wishes to you and your family.

OK. Let's say that Nando HAS to pick one or the other at the end of the novela. There are no other choices. I know most of us, if not all, think that Nando is too young to be in a serious relationship with any girl, and these girls need to not be so obsessed with him. But given that, in this scenario, we have to pick the best girl for him from Edith and Xi (no, Brianna is not on the ballot), who would you vote for?

My vote is for Edith.

IF i had to choose, i would go with Edith too, she is more in line with his likes and habits.

Edith

Wow Nanette, this should be good. I have to go with Ximena.

Nanette, so noon eastern time. is it saturday or sunday?
sounds like it could take the time slot normally for Hoy or Sabadazo

apparently that stadium was the 'Estadio Azteca' near MC.

Marta: Sunday.

Congratulations Adriana. The real work will begin in a few months for you.

I guess you recapped too far. We ended where the motorcycle woman was about to run over Diego.

So Fanny will get married afterall. She's now not too young and now thinks she's ready to settle down. But nothing has changed since she last said no. Ugh!

Cathyx,
in his proposal Leon left it open ended... he said 'some day in the future' (or words tte) which i found appropriate. it is a bit more formal than gf/bf but not quite with a timetable attached. which is good since she is still in college for her career so he basically is saying he won't mind waiting years if that is what she needs.

ok so sunday starting around noon... sounds like the 'hoy' timeslot. sabadazo is on saturdays

Leon's proposal was "for the future" - so very likely a long engagement, but still ... she's tied down and susceptible to his jealousy and berinches. I don't think he's changed that much, as much as he (and she) wants to believe it.

I should clarify that I'm assuming the MCET program on Sunday is going to be a re-airing of the final, from what they've done before, but I don't know that for a fact.

it might be a mix, Nanette. i am sure Jorge/ Silvia et al might make appearances in Despierta Am, Gordo y flaca, etc as is custom, but if they are still doing the theatrical tour they might not be able to so we might get the 'hoy' special airing instead but maybe the best of the last few eps first.

Marta: whatever it turns out being, should be fun.

sorry, didn't mean to argue. i am sure they will repeat some of the finale within those 3 hrs.

Adriana, congrats!

Marta: I didn't think you were arguing!!! You were offering other suggestions as to what it could be and I meant I would be happy to see anything more they have to show on MCET before the absolute final goodbye. I'm sorry if you thought I thought you were arguing.

heading to a work gathering at the Orlando magic game ... will come to comment on finale when i get home... enjoy it!

They will probably call the girls by their full names, Ana Soledad & Ana Estefania.

The only people who ever called Fanny "Estefania" was Fernando (when he's mad at her) & Lenin.

For all we know, Ana Estefania was named after big sister Estefania and not wife #1, because if Fanny had spilled the beans at the beginning of the show about Ana's pole dance life, neither twin would be here and Ana wouldn't be married to Fernando.

And it could've been a way to honor Estefania Sr., who gave her blessing to Ana & Fernando at the wedding.

I do wish they had shown the 1st 7 kids' reactions to finding out a new pair of clonas was joining the family.

Don't the Alex/Guille actors have the same first but different middle names?

I liked "us" throwing stuff at Isabela.

They should call the clonitas Stefita and Solita.

They should call the clonitas Stefita and Solita.

Adriana, thank you so much for the recap. I've been out all day and only now getting to read your funny take on last night's craziness.

And may I say CONGRATULATIONS along with everyone here. Many blessings on that new little star.

You know, why couldn't Leon and Fanny just date. Why still have to have the marriage commitment. That sort of made me twitch a bit.

And I don't want Nando picking anyone. The whole instant in love for Diego was just plain stupid but I wasn't surprised they wanted to wrap him up in a bow with someone.

Been fun all. Might not be able to catch tonight's episode until later in the weekend, but I'll jump on and check the Final recap.

Since Diego has decided he's ready to settle down, they should have just had him parachute in to wherever Natalia is and propose y punto. It would've made as much sense as any of the other unlikely stories they've done on this tn.

The stadium baptism was just stupid.

Let us know when you're able to post the 2nd part of the Gran Final!

LOVED LOVED when Isa and Ana went after each other about having kept a few pounds after the baby birth, Fernando just smiles /smirks and says 'a ver niñas, directo al grano' (girls, girls... lets get to the point)

Loved the whole family teaming up to save Siete and get back at Isa. Loved that Fernando took most of his monthly support of her away... Arquimedes stealing her money was only fair. he had taken a lot of crap from her lately.
Also loved the last 12 minutes or so (the family gathering and speeches) but i really did not appreciate/enjoy Isa being humilliated in the presence of her own son at the zoo... there was no need for that.

the old fernando and ana scene was cute... esp when she wanted to use the cane as a pole for the both of them and he said he could not due to his sciatica ailment.

Martaivett, I noticed that too: Isa gained lots of weight & her own mother was shocked.

They should've just had Isa in prison & leave it at that, but no!

Humiliating her in the presence of her son was OVER THE LINE.

loved the final messages. esp
'enjoy the simple things in life, playing with your kids, laughing your head away, and enjoy those you love, tell them everyday how much you love them... etc.

they said the alternative endings would be on uvideos...

I had zero problem with the supposed fat shaming of ISABELA & I'll explain why when the part 2 is posted.

The only parts of the finale that I didn't really like was the stadium baptisms.

We now know Ana Soledad & Ana Estefania were the last children Fernando had.

They had 28 grandkids...I wonder how many of them were twins.

LOL @ Arquimedes leaving Isa $1.00.

The way my comments are organized I'll wait until Part II is posted.

In the meantime I have been binge-watching QTPD and am astonished at the escalation of evil of the villain characters. When I've caught up on that I will begin commenting it.
