Amores con trampa #70 3 July 2015... Where all the males over the age of 18 feel like arguing, drawing lines and punching each other. Neanderthals!

Gusana and Ale… talking about Andres… while grilling some meat.
Mireya and Esteban argue about Isa. Este says Isa looks better instead of worse so the treatment isn’t working. Mireya claims it is.  Isa is ABOUT TO fall apart.  She will suffer a terrible crisis.  Esteban questions it… what he sees is Isa is more smart… even more beautiful.   He wants results! How is Mireya with Santee?  Este shows very impatient. He needs to see Isa and Santee split and Santee sunk in despair.  Isa calls Mireya.  Este tells Mireya to agree to a meeting. He is running out of patience. He needs Isa locked in a nut-house ASAP.
Back at the grill, Jacinto and a couple young redhead boys (the ones that bullied him early on at school are now going to be good to him, per what Jacinto says) join the girls.  Gusana not so quick to trust them. The boys walk away. The twin boys have a plan of their own.. I guess their turnaround is not so.
At office, Santee arrives at Facu’s office with a suitcase… make that two suitcases. He opens them for Facu. They are FULL OF MONEY!!  Santee says it is the worst humiliation he ever had to suffer at a bank. As if he had a farmers market stand… Facu mocks him a bit since he once DID have a farmers market stand. Santee says never mind, here’s your money bill by bill.  Facu reminds him it is money he loaned him the same way, bill by bill. Santee does not want to remember the past, but Facu does.  Facu would not trust Santee further than he could throw him.  Facu is hungry, he is about to order food while they count the money by hand.  Facu even will pay for Santee’s food… Santee reacts as if it were a tragedy.
At Mireya’s office, Isa has arrived. Isa whines that at home things are ok… the pills have worked well. But she gets cross-eyed and asks Mireya for help.  Mireya serves Isa some wine to give her another pill.
Back at The Carmonas, Carmen has joined the girls by the pool. The party is going well so far, they comment.  Francis arrives. And starts annoying Carmen.  Diego and Feli along with the shadow girls arrive.  The boys both have something for Carmen and they reach in front of Francis to give it to her at unison, causing a cup of drink to spill right on Francis face and outfit.  They all laugh it off except Francis, who is offended, as always.
Back to Mireya’s office… Isa gets real upset… Mireya asks if she has been taking the pills.  Isa says she can’t drink so much because her kids are watching and nagging her for it.  Mireya says the treatment only works after 3 weeks. Isa says its been 4 weeks. Mireya says you gotta be patient.  And serves her another glass of drink.  Mireya sends Isa home to rest. Isa gets some twitches on her neck but thanks Mireya for her help, you are better than all other therapies, yoga, mantras, etc.  She leaves very happy.

At office, Facu and Santee are still counting money. Santee is loving the flautas (food).   Facu is counting with his toes too (EWWWW LOL!!)  Santee says this is absurd… and then complains that the sauce is a bit too spicy.  Santee says we should let the machines count the money.  Facu wants them to keep counting.  Santee gets a phone call. It is Mireya, she has to see him ASAP to talk about something serious about Isa.  Santee runs out to meet her at a café near her office.  Facu wonders whats up with Isa.
At café, Mireya arrives to see Santee.  She is dressed to the nines, more for a date than for a doctor/relative meeting.  She says she’s worried about Isa.  The treatment isn’t working. Santee says no, she gets along better with the kids now. Mireya says no, that’s a fake improvement, we have to get her institutionalized. (locked up).  We see briefly Jacinto with Tito the donkey baby.  (with saddle on! Looks cute!! LOL!!)
Santee says Mireya gave Isa permission to drink. Mireya says no I didn’t!!  Mireya tells Santee that Isa will end up affecting everyone that is around her and making them crazy too.  She tells him Isa’s problem is critical and will eventually need 24/7 care at a hospital.  Santee impactado.
Francis and the shadow girls are sitting at a table at the party happening at Carmonas.  Carmen and everyone congratulate Beto on the food/grill.  Everyone loved the guacamole.  In comes Hilda to brag on Beto’s grilled meat back in town.  Rocio says you go ahead and fantasize, he will never cook for you again.  Gusana prevents the confrontation from getting more heated.  The focus changes to Alejandra. Jacinto invites her to something… The twin redhead boys are talking about their plan and then Hilda invites herself to their team.  There are ants in a paper bag and they let them loose.  The first victims are Francis and the shadow girls who start yelling and climbing on the table… Beto says everyone to the water!! And they all jump in.  the camera freezes as each one jumps in.  Beto carries Rocio in his arms while jumping in.
Later on Beto and Rocio have a cute scene together later on between the houses.  She praises his cooking… Rocio says that Beto’s grandma would have said ‘those redhead boys ran away from the devil!’  Beto starts the subject of having kids…  She is more scared that he wants to have 7 kids. They get more smooch and lovey dovey talk… kiss.  Beto is a bit miffed that the redhead boys are still laughing about the prank.  Rocio says even the ants must be laughing on our account.
At another spot Porfirio is sweet-talking Conchita who has a basket of eggs in her hands.  He calls her his Concha.  They walk into Jacinto and Gusana who are doing school work on natural science.  Porfirio is glad so they will grow up to be good people.  Jacinto says that’s why we moved to the city. Grandpa says I wish all of you remembered that, most of your siblings don’t even remember why we came here.  But then Grandpa and Conchita keep walking away and he resumes the lovey dovey convo about his Concha.
Beto, Rocio and Maria run into Panzon (the tattle tell guy who spied on her for Florencio)  Seems the guy is Hilda’s dad.  And she has several sisters.  He offers the girls to go back to the capital with Maria to help her knit her designs.  Maria is a bit reluctant… oopsie, maybe they’re not his daughters, only his employees. Rocio sells the job to the girls since they can work from home and on their own hours.
At college, Francis and the shadow girls run into Carmen and Francis does not waste time to mock Carmen. Carmen gets instantly miffed with them. Walks away and they follow her.  They are mocking her for praying to the virgin.  Yada yada, Francis goes on with her dirty talk mocking Carmen as a farmer girl… Carmen getting annoyed/angry at her.  And the subject of Diego comes up.  Francis swears Diego will play with Carmen and then drop her as used goods.  Do you really believe he could be interested in you?  If you give him what he wants right away he’ll drop you and if you take your time he’ll drop you anyway.
Back at Panzon’s  he is not happy he is losing some girl employees.  Maria warns him not to tell Florencio about her comings and goings.   Florencio arrives and Panzon and his girls walk away. Beto gets a bit uneasy. Rocio and Beto get in the truck so Florencio and Maria have some time to talk alone.
At college, Diego is coming in and Felipe crosses him with the car.  Felipe demands Diego respect Carmen and is there to defend her from Diego. Diego says that is your problem, you are just her friend.  Felipe admits he let her go and that is why Diego got her. Felipe says ‘Carmen deserves a guy who will treat her right, and if you are not going to then you better get away from her’.  Diego asks ‘are you going to hit a guy with glasses on? ‘ Felipe yells ‘then take them off!’, takes them off himself and then punches Diego. Diego falls to the parking lot floor stunned. Diego yells ‘Carmen is with me because she loves me! I will let this one slip because I know its because you are jealous but next time…’  Felipe says ‘ya! I had fame as Felipe the menace at kinder and elementary school! Consider yourself warned!   Carmen arrives to demand explanations for the brawl. Felipe says its only between him and Diego. He tells Diego to remember what he told him (with the gesture of ‘im watching you!’). Diego says he already forgot (what Felipe told him). Felipe drives away. Diego then turns his anger/frustration on Carmen saying he is tired of having to deal with her brother and Diego and everyone else because of her so…. I have had it. I am tired!  … (leaves in a huff, leaving her confused as to what just happened) She calls someone on cell.
Beto gets out of the truck and warns Florencio that Maria only has time for ‘mi apa’’, her husband.’ Florencio comments that Beto is brave.  Maria says just like his dad. Florencio asserts that he could have been the father of all her kids. If it wasn’t for the fact that the ‘mendigo’ of Facundo stole my life from me.
In the truck, Beto is revisiting his decision to have left Maria with Florencio when his dad asked/demanded that he watch over Maria all the time.  Beto tells Rocio that Florencio is the owner of a lot of the area… he is a crop engineer.  He has plenty of money, foreign horses, yada yada… he was going to marry my mom many years ago.  Beto tells Rocio how it happened…
Facu arrived in horseback to the church and Maria left in the middle of her wedding to ride away with Facu, leaving Florencio yelling for her from the church door (just like the scene we had in Ramona with Kate del Castillo and Eduardo Palomo).  A while later Maria confirmed to Facu that she loved only him. They agreed to elope. He already has the priest elsewhere ready to marry them.  She was going to marry Florencio because she had given her word but Facu is the love of her life. Facu swears eternal love to her. They seal the deal with a kiss…
Rocio is excited to learn how it all happened.
Maria is nagging at Florencio for having called to her house.  Florencio says he was worried for her when El Panzon told him how things were in her household.  Maria is irritated and is ready to leave. But she can’t leave without him telling her that he still loves her… and if she ends it with Facu one day, Florencio will be waiting for her.  Maria reminds Florencio that his wife died only a year ago. He claims that he only married her to try to forget Maria, but he never could.  She just walks back to the truck quietly.  Maria won’t tell Beto anything of what she talked with Florencio, only demands he not tell Facu that she talked to Florencio.
Back at school, Carmen had summoned Diego back to talk again.  Diego meets her later at school.  She tells him what Pancha told her.  He is miffed that Carmen believed what Francis said, he wants to leave because if he had known it was for this, he would never have come.  He prepared a surprise for Carmen’s “first time” only for Beto to beat him up and for Felipe to defend her and for her to change her mind about ‘doing it’ (te me pusieras de digna). Carmen asks him to understand. He asks the same. He is with her because he likes her and wants to be with her in every way. She claims that was not the way she was raised. He says If she is going to just give him some justifications, he is not even going to talk to her… call me when you’re over your issues.  He walks away and she takes off after him… we see Pancha and the shadow girls pop out from behind the half wall. Pancha says ‘it’s the beginning of the end for them’.
Maria, Rocio and Beto arrive hime all happy.  They bought some jellies and preserves at the market.  Facu also arrives. Maria questions if he is not supposed to be at the office now.  Estefi also arrives with a couple of trash bags with her stuff.  Maria reminds Facu and the Carmonas that they need to welcome her at their house. Rocio steps in and says she can’t act like a hypocrite and announces to the Carmonas that ‘this Senora was my uncle Santiago’s lover’.

Previews: Facu says he came home early from work to welcome her. Then he asks Beto how it went.  Maria gets miffed… ‘what do you want to know from Beto? If I saw Florencio? I did!’  ‘So you did see the scarecrow!’  Maria is very confrontational with him and he has the ‘I am the boss of you’ daring stare.

Marta, thank you for your most excellent and always speedy recap.

I enjoyed:

The money counting with Santiago and Facundo. Marta, when I saw Facundo counting with his feet, I thought EWWW, too. (But it was funny)

Rocío and María cutting El Panzón out of their deal with the town girls.

The twins and their biting ants.

Florencio looking very good in his black leather jacket calling Facundo a "mendigo tullido" again and his undying love for María.

The reminisince of how Facundo literally stole María from Florencio at the altar. Beautifully shot in sepia.

María telling Facundo that she had seen Florencio.

I did not enjoy:

Carmen not cutting Diego free already especially after Felipe got into it with Diego trying to defend her honor. I felt sorry for Diego. He has gotten punched in the face twice but has had enough self control to just walk away. Here is hoping Diego breaks up with Carmen asap.

Beto being stuck in the middle of the Facundo/María/Florencio thing.

Marta, this was fantastic. An excellent summary replete with vocabulary – thank you so much.

“The twin boys have a plan of their own.. I guess their turnaround is not so” and “Maria is very confrontational with him and he has the ‘I am the boss of you’ daring stare” were my favorites.

In truth, the drugging of Isa is a very dark machination. The actress is doing a good job – cross eyes, muttering, stuttering, all. That doesn’t however alleviate my uneasiness with this story line. I still can’t fathom how and why Este is pushing her to the sheer edge of sanity. How much lower can she go?? Basta.

I wasn’t exactly thrilled to see Fac’s feet counting the money but I have to say it. Even the man’s feet are perfect. Eduardo is the ultimate. Sigh.

Tito was adorable. He and Margarito need more screen time.

My favorite scene was captured perfectly by Jarifa “The reminisince of how Facundo literally stole María from Florencio at the altar. Beautifully shot in sepia”. I would love to see the characters happy and in love again. Writers??

Diana

Diego is losing a bit of his charm for me. I am beginning to think he and the petulant, whining Carmen may be made for each other.

Also, is Francis annoying anyone else?? She is getting on my last nerve. She continues to pop up like a jack in the box. Does Carmen have Lojack installed somewhere on her?

Florencio was literally left at the altar, yet he's back for more. Well, I'm for anything that lights Facundo's jealousy and makes him realize what a gem he has in Maria!

Diana

Diana, Francis has always annoyed me. Great "lojack" comment. :)

Marta- Loved the detailed and fun recap. Thank you!

I'll repeat what I said yesterday about Carmen and Diego-- right now she is being immature and whiny, and he is being immature and callous. They both need to own their errors-- he disrespecting her values; she dating him when she knows she's not really into him.

Loved how Maria and Rocio played hardball with Panzon and cut him out of the deal they made with his (now former) workers. The women will be making more, will have a contract, and can work from home. Sweet!

I also liked how Rocio wordlessly pulled Beto away and out of the conversation Maria was having with Florencio. Again, I hate that Fac put Beto in charge of policing his mother. It's not his place! I wish they had stayed longer in the country. But perhaps more trips will be necessary to meet with her workers.

Esteban and Mireya's plan is diabolical. They have emerged as our biggest villains, not Santi and Isa.

Francis' sole purpose is to annoy everyone and the audience.

The twins are terrible little buggers, but everyone looked like they were having a blast jumping into the pool. I guess this qualifies as another disastrous end to another party, but it looked like it was fun.

Good point, Vivi, about who the real villains are.

Jarifa

Marta, great title. The Neanderthals did come out, didn’t they? Thanks for the early Fourth of July treat.

Facundo with cash between his toes and counting bills with Santiago – lol!

Carmen not cutting Diego free already especially after Felipe got into it with Diego trying to defend her honor.

Jarifa, Though I’m leaning toward Feli now, I do like Diego well enough not to want to see him wind up hurt because Carmen won’t just cut him loose. Diego not hitting Feli back was a good move, shows he’s got potential.

In truth, the drugging of Isa is a very dark machination.

Diana, It was disturbing watching Mireya pour more wine for Isa to wash down her pills. I know this is a comedy, but I hope we get to see Mireya losing her license and getting hauled off to prison. How caring of Santi to tell Mireya that he won’t abandon Isa no matter what. When oh when will we find out what happened five months ago to turn Isa off Santi?

Again, I hate that Fac put Beto in charge of policing his mother. It's not his place!

Vivi, ITA. But Beto was so cute trying to follow his dad’s orders like a good son. He only gave up when his mom demanded that he leave her alone with Florencio. And I knew Florencio was thinking “this kid could’ve been my son” even before he said it.

Any bets on how long Estefany will be staying with the Carmonas before she gets booted out?

Loved the sepia flashback. I felt sorry for Florencio. He must not be such a bad guy if Maria had enough respect for him to years later attend his wife’s funeral.

Marta, thanks for all the detail and fun reading !!

I can't wait to find out the back story on Esteban. His motive(s) totally escapes me. What is he up to with this whole manicomio theme. And agree, what Mireya and Esteban are doing to Isa is criminally abusive. Last night was the first I actually felt sorry for Isa. I don't want this tn to slip into the dark side.

Rocio, you go girl .. making sure the women in the country got their monetary due and Pantalon got his due too so to speak, 0 dinero.

Lola

Vivi, well then...If Francis' sole purpose in life is to perturb, the girl is doing an incredible job. Sigh.

Niecie, I'm feeling as though Diego and Carmen are so different - culturally, lifestyle, morals, etc. that they would be happier with others. I would like to see Diego with someone else, but I can't see any of the present characters as fitting that bill. I swear if Francis gets redeemed, I will be spitting mad. :0

Mireya and Esteban deserve prison. For life. Mireya has violated her physician's code of ethics. Esteban's actions are unfathomable. How can Esteban claim to love Isa? I believe in pure evil and I believe in mental illness. I do not believe that some who are evil are mentally ill. To me, he falls in that category. How he can watch her deteriorate is beyond comprehension.

Lola, I can't begin to fathom what Este has in mind after he debases her. It sounds as though he wants her to sink to a level for which help will be no avail. I can't begin to figure this out.

Diana

Marta,
Thanks for the awesome recap. It was detailed and funny. It was a great read on this Saturday afternoon.

ITA with everyone about Carmen being whiny. But I also like the fact that she stuck to her guns when it came to being her first time. She does not want to have sex and I'm glad she didn't feel the need to "go along with it". I am also glad that Diego didn't force it either. That would have been horrible, but I don't think Diego is that kind of guy. Yes, he wants to be with Carmen, but he's not going to force himself on her. I wish Carmen felt for Diego the way she feels for Feli. Nothing against Feli, but I think it's the actor. Forgive me, but I don't think he's that great an actor. Maybe it's just me.

Wow, Maria has totally changed her look. She wasn't even wearing her boots! I am confused as to whether or not I want Maria and Fac to be end game. I think they love each other, but I don't like what Fac does. This epi ended with Maria telling Fac that she saw Florencio. Has Fac told Maria about all the times he has seen Isa outside the house? Like this last time in the dressing room? NO!!!!!!!!! I don't think so! Even if nothing happened, Fac is not being honest with Maria. NOT FAIR!

More later!

Hasta Pronto & Happy 4th!

Diana,
I sent you a comment last night, but not sure if you read it.

It was to thank you for asking about my nephew. He is doing fine. I hope you are doing good as well.

That's great news AuntyAnn! So glad he is doing well.

And you made an excellent point about Carmen staying true to herself and not giving in. I fear that got lost amidst her whining - the writers aren't making her very likeable at the moment...

And Facundo has a great deal of growing up to do, certainly. He thinks the best defense is a good offense. He certainly should be ashamed of his actions which went beyond what a married man should do. However, I'm more ticked off about his chauvinism and "lord and master" demeanor toward Maria.

I am doing PT and working hard to improve my deficits. Fatigue is still a factor but some things will simply take time. Thanks so much for asking.

Diana

Gracias, Marta!! I really needed this. I guess I forgot all my Spanish on Friday because I had a lot of trouble following the dialog.

I didn't like the ants, but it did seem like the cast had a lot of fun with the scene.

Thanks, Marta, for the super recap. It is really appreciated.
Wow, I'm so disappointed in Diego. It's one thing to get a little handsy and need to be told to stop. But that whole creepy setup complete with the lie about meeting his mother? Heck no.

Denise

Diana,
Glad to hear that you are improving.

ITA, Fac has alot of growing up to do. He does not appreciate his wife enough and he needs to be more honest with her, especially when it comes to Isa. He does things that she is not aware of, like the "accidental" meeting between him and Isa in the dressing room. He forgets to tell Maria, or better yet, does NOT want to tell her. I say, don't do anything you wouldn't do if your spouse was in the room. Just sayin'.

Howdy, Sweet Baby Chihuahuas! (From the other day)
I had never seen you comment til the other day. Good to see you here. Welcome!

Hasta pronto

Marta, this is really good and appreciate it.

Hell yes, Florencio, Maria can live in the country, be treated as an equal partner, adored and respected by a good looking, educated, self made man. Go get your own sammich Facundo.

Itatí Cantoral steals the show whenever she's on screen, I was rolling when she was doing the eye crossing thingie. Don't understand what Isabel sees in Facundo, perhaps it's just the drugs and drink.

Glad Diego has had enough of Carmen

Beto, an affable boy, pissed me off as his mothers minder, please don't become an ape like your daddy.

Tofie: "Go get your own sammich Facundo" is making me smile this a.m. Yes, Florencio is good looking!

Jarifa

I've completely forgotten how Rocío knows that Estefany is Santi's amante. Does anyone mind jumpstarting my memory?

Hi AuntyAnn,
It's just me, Sara. I felt like a name change.

Sara,
my guess is Rocio would have overheard a conversation from Santee or Isabel talking about Estefani being an old flame of Santees.... either that or Rocio caught them kissing... but where? She never goes to the office OR to Santee's/Estefani's apartment.
and thanks everyone for the compliments on the recap. Since I type as fast as I can during the episode, sometimes its not until someone comments on a particular scene that I get to relive it by the comments. so thanks to all the commenters too.

Thank you Marta! So we really haven't had a big scene where Rocío discovered Santi and Estefy.

Surely they aren't editing? We're only 4 weeks behind.

I also don't remember a scene where Rocio learns that Stefi was Santi's lover. Hmmm...perhaps a cut scene or perhaps one that went by so quickly it didn't register?

Oh well that seals it... If Vivi doesn't remember there was no scene. Lol.

I sort of suspect a little snipping only because there have been some episodes where the transitions and music seemed odd.

ITA, if Vivi doesn't remember it, it wasn't there. More "Amores" tonight! Hopefully no more animated insects. They were cute . . . Once.

Jarifa

So we are all agreed then? There was no scene. That makes me feel a little less forgetful. :)

No more animated bugs... but some confetti or hearts would be nice.

And why have all the animals gone silent?

If Vivi doesn't remember it, it didn't happen.

:)

LOL! You guys. Maybe I was sleepy or something the episode it happened. Maybe I've been taking some of Isa's pills and drops. Who knows! :)

Don't sell yourself short, Vivi! You've got such amazing recall. When all of us are wondering about something and even you can't seem to recall it happening, then something is up!

Well said!

Jarifa

Jarifa- you're excitement looking forward to seeing the episode every night makes me so happy. I get excited to see it too :)

Your not you're.

The show AND the patio have made this a very fun experience and I am always on the lookout for fun.

Jarifa

Honestly I think I look more forward to the patio chats ;-)

And Nanette's piglet. Hee hee.
