Muchacha Italiana Viene a Casarse #112 2-3-16 "If I had a Hammer. . . . ."

Ciao, Peeps!  Here's your summary for tonight!

Please see Sneaky's recap and discussion of yesterday's action here!

Santino offers to sign up to be a heart donor for Gianna.  Dante's sudden demise is proof of the fleeting nature of life.  Fiorella thanks Santino with a big hug!

The autopsy report states Dante died of a heart attack.  It's not universally believed (Osvaldo) but is eventually accepted.

Fidel reports to Pedro on the State of El Rancho.  Cameras are poorly placed leaving "blind spots" in the closed circuit surveillance and many are old and need repair or replacing.  The whole system will be down for maintenance.

Freddie denies to Eloisa that she and Dante had a thang goin' on.  Freddie blames Eloisa and Maximo for making her so embittered and soured on life, she never married.  Freddie calls Aitana.  They meet and agree they are a couple of bitches.  Aitana signs on to take out Pedro and Fiorella seeing as how the cameras are out and she can get away undetected.

Julieta sees the scar behind Fiorella's left ear.  A confused Fiorella doesn't know how she got it.  Julieta excuses herself and leaves in tears.  Fiorella thinks Julieta is acting more loca every day.

Osvaldo gushes over the ultrasound portrait of their baby and shares it with Pedro.  Pedro is worried about ACorp.  Osvaldo is energized and has ideas.  Sonia later shares the ultrasound pictures with Fiorella and confesses that Pedro never boinked her.

Papi Chulo wants Gael to take his last name.

Adela and Rey meet with Vittorio.  Vitto dropped the fraud charges against Diana, of course, but the arms and murder charge are sticking.  Her finger prints on the weapon make her the prime suspect.

Julieta meets with Sergio and barks at him to get to the point.  He tells her he thinks he could be her daughter's father.  She slaps the shit out of him, calls him a lying loser and huffs away.

Gianna still feels teary and doesn't want to go to class.  Roxi ribs her until she agrees to go.  She is lethargic in class and passes out -- AGAIN!  Dr. Elizalde comes to the house.  Gianna's condition is more grave everyday.  He advises she not go to university anymore and restrict her activities to walks in the garden or catching sun on the patio.

Simoneta gets as big a hug as the petite Domingo can muster to comfort her distress over the ailing Gianna.

Eloisa tries to get Pilar to tell her what she talked to Freddie about.  Pilar definitely seems to know that Eloisa is full of it.  Pilar gets agitated when Dante's name is mentioned, that she's safe now because he's gone.  One wonders if it is feigned.

Skankia is back!  No fair!  We were all cheering her departure.  Under the guise of coming to check on Gianna, she gets in kissing distance of Benni.  Roxi comes in and blesses her out.

Julieta tells Santino about the scar behind Fiorella's ear.  Both feel it just can't be a mere coincidence.  They call Alvaro, adoptive father's (Mario) brother, who gives them a picture of their infant daughter.  Julieta is so touched, she has to sit down.

Aitana has not only gotten into El Rancho but into Pedro and Fiorella's bedroom carrying a hammer and a pair of pliers.  Aitana checks the bathroom and comes back out to the bedroom when, suddenly, Pedro and Fiorella are at the bedroom door!  She hides in the bathroom and engages in some audio voyeurism.  She hears Fiorella tell Pedro that Sonia confessed to lying about laying him.  Pedro feels like a big weight has been lifted off him.  This warrants kissing which ends up being taken to the bed.  Aitana is getting hot and bothered -- with anger -- listening to them and comes out and watches them on the bed, her jaw clenched in rage as she fingers the hammer!

Hope y'all don't mind me being so brief!  Feel free to correct and expand!  Have at it!

LILA, let me be the first to say "Grazie!" and "Molto bene!" (Did I make that up or am I actually speaking Italian?) Your recap was great and I'm always amazed that you get it posted so quickly.

This is an agonizing time at the Rancho: we have everyone poised at the brink but it's too soon for the big climax.

Allow me to ramble for a mo'--Why don't Santino and Julieta get a DNA test? It's too much coincidence that Fiorella's last name and scar both fit the description of their daughter.
Also, how many healthy people actually offer to become heart donors?
And, how long do we have to watch the poor, mentally afflicted Pilar being terrorized and bullied?

Nite-nite and thanks again Lila!

J in Oregon

J in O! Buongiorno, mille grazie e Molto bene! No, you did NOT make that up! It means very good! Yaaay! Well, we're getting something out of this little romp through the eyes of this Itialian Muchachita!

Si sta dicendo la verità! Thou speakest the truth:

Why don't Santino and Julieta get a DNA test? It's too much coincidence that Fiorella's last name and scar both fit the description of their daughter.

Nina mentioned this the other day! This is truly a chin strap beanie and put a pillow over your mouth and scream story line. Isn't it? Jeeeze-o-freakin-pete!!! Julieta talking to Fiorella and then running away in tears all the time. I'd think she was coo coo too!

There are some sadists on this writing tezm, aren't there. Along with my question of how many times do we have to have Gianna fall out and be told her condition is "muy grave".

AND

And, how long do we have to watch the poor, mentally afflicted Pilar being terrorized and bullied?

Lord, help her! I hope she is instrumental in getting this crazy-assed Freddie off our screens.

Let me ask a question: Can anyone else kind of sense when somebody is around them, even if they can't see them? Well, I guess Petey and Fifi can be excused: passion nullifies that sixth sense. Sheesh!

Good morning, Lila, and thank you for this. You are really keeping this thing going, and deserve all kinds of praise for your dedication.

Boy, Aitana really looked like she could host her own home improvement show when she was stalking around with the tools. I think her hot headedness will get them into trouble, unlike Freddie's cold blooded approach to everything.

So, did they do a tox screen on Dante? Perhaps Freddie has happened on the perfect untraceable poison?

Eloisa has all the correct suspicions, but is having trouble proving anything. Certainly confronting people directly isn't going to go very far unless she's messing with their minds and trying to throw them off their game.

Time intervals are vague here, but I wonder why Fio hasn't wound up pregnant yet?

Thanks again, Lila. Just great as always.

David

Simoneta gets as big a hug as the petite Domingo can muster to comfort her distress over the ailing Gianna.

Ah, I can just picture that Lila. Wonderful word picture. Sometimes it seems that you are painting, rather than writing. The effect is so VISUAL.

Gave up on this early last night but so glad you brought me up to speed. And loved your "hot and bothered...but with anger". Yes, one can certainly feel STRONG thoughts from another person...whether near or far actually...but as you noted, passion can override those messages and our newlyweds certainly have that going for them.

As always, they leave us with a cliffhanger, guaranteeing that we'll tune in again tonight. Thanks stalwart one for keeping this going. You are a valiant trooper. And a wonderfully saucy writer.

Lila - Thank you for the snarky recap! I love the title, too.

I thought we were done with Katia, too! Gah....

Santino's comments, when talking to Fi, made me wonder if he might end up being the heart donor. I really don't see what his future is, once it is revealed that Fi is his daughter. Julieta has no feelings for him beyond "like." Sergio keeps coming back like a bad habit, so she'll probably end up with him. Gaaaah.

Forget DNA testing. I'm waiting for Julieta to show the baby pic to Fi and Fi saying "I've got one exactly like that." Because, really, Patio, some teacher's 10th grade creative writing class is cranking out this story.

David! Fratello! Mille grazie! I tell you what: I thank the Lord for Sneaky Two Shoes! She really stepped in and stepped up at a critical time. She will always be my hero!!

Yah! Aitana wants to remodel Pedro's skull! What the heck do you think she was going to do with those tools? She kinda looked up at the ceiling. Maybe there was a light fixture she was going to try to loosen so it would fall on their heads? What a ding dong!

And yep, Freddie used the famous telenovela untraceble poison. Works every time! A tox screen should have been done since Eloisa knows Freddie tried to poison her. That this was not mentioned is beanie worthy. But then, with the hack job editing, maybe it was!

It IS curious that Fifi is not preggers. Must not fit the "plot."

Oh my gosh, JudyB! thank you for your kind words! Buongiorno e mille grazie, amica! Domingo was so cute holding out his little arms as wide as he could beckoning to Simoneta "Ven, ven a mis brazos." It was very sweet!

What is Aitana going to do with that hammer? Isn't it too late for severe personal injury?

Must see TV, hunh?

Buongiorno e grazie tantissimo, Doris!

Santino's comments, when talking to Fi, made me wonder if he might end up being the heart donor.

I know! Dang them! I'm going to be super pissed if he's the donor and that wine-o Sergio ends up being Fifi's father which would mean that Sergio would have to NOT be Pedro's father. Who the hell would his father be, then? These people are beginning to work my nerve's I tell ya!

Forget DNA testing. I'm waiting for Julieta to show the baby pic to Fi and Fi saying "I've got one exactly like that." Because, really, Patio, some teacher's 10th grade creative writing class is cranking out this story.

I'll agree on every point except one. It's the 6th grade class!!! AAAAARRRRRGH!

Thanks so much, Lila! I was only watching this with one eye last night, so I appreciate it.

Perhaps Fi and Pedro are doing what she cautioned Gi to do—using protection? Although now that their marriage is out in the open, they’re free to make some bambinos whenever they’d like.

How come FiGi’s uncle hasn’t referred to his brother by his first name? Does he only know his brother’s last name? That makes no sense! It’s as simple as Julieta asking Fi if her father’s name was Mario Bianchi, and going from there. That alone would be a big clue. Or just show her the damn picture she received of Mario and his wife, and see if Fi reacts. All this crying and running out of rooms when she sees a scar on Fi’s neck is ridiculous. Start doing some damn detecting if you have doubts or questions.

Aitana is an idiot if she believes Freddy wouldn’t throw her under the bus in a minute if she’s caught attempting to kill Pietrella.

Remember that episode where Fi had some sort of nausea? Either that was a gratuitous red herring, courtesy of the writers, or she only had a very mild case of morning sickness. There is still a chance she is preggers

Oh, now Pedro NOT Sergio's son would be right up telenovela alley! If not Sergio, WHO could it be, then? Gabriel? In this crazy telenovela, anything is possible.

I really need to get to work and off this computer!!!

David, Lila, Doris:
I thought I remembered Fiorella's nausea a couple of weeks ago, I also thought she hinted or inferred to Pedro that, yes, she was expecting. They were in bed and acting all very happy despite her nausea... Guess I jumped the gun. Or maybe she is just a little bit pregnant, as can happen.

J in O

J in O- During the bed scene, Pedro asked Fi if she might be pregnant, and she said no (although she didn't look 100% sure).

Grazie Tanto, Lila. Excellent work. This is full episode #157.

The very idea of sacrificing Gael or Santino to get Gianna a heart is repulsive. If this were a true drama it would be virtually a guarantee that it would be one of them. As it is I am fearing for them because inserting serious pathos in what is otherwise a comedy is nothing new for this network.

So we're not rid of nasty little Katia or Aitana yet and there are 15 hours to go on this series. GRRRRR!

Buongiorno e mille grazie, Vivi! Girl, I feel your ire at these idiots!

just show her the damn picture she received of Mario and his wife, and see if Fi reacts. All this crying and running out of rooms when she sees a scar on Fi’s neck is ridiculous. Start doing some damn detecting if you have doubts or questions.

I love it! When y'all start getting on Vivi's nerves, you KNOW you have messed up. Tell 'em, girl! Let them do the reveal and allow us to enjoy Fifi with her parents WHOEVER they are before the big church wedding!

Aitana is an idiot if she believes Freddy wouldn’t throw her under the bus in a minute if she’s caught attempting to kill Pietrella.

Yep. And I hope she does!

Okay, Peeps! Cat's here, see you later!

Lila, sending many effusive compliments your way...Another delightful romp through the adventures and misadventures of our favorite (and not so favorite) characters...

I'm getting a tad bit uneasy with Sonia and Osvaldo's unfettered happiness. With each other but more notably, their unborn child. I do think Sonia has paid more than a high price for her misdeeds, but Osvaldo has not really suffered at all. I'm not asking for retribution, but something is off here. There may be some price to be exacted.

Freddie is a smooth, master manipulator. I speculate that Aitana and Katia may fall by the wayside shortly but Freddie will be here until the bitter end, conniving and poisoning...

I really don't want to know exactly how Aitana planned to kill Pedro and Fiorella but not sure a hammer was the smartest way to go? She's over the edge and getting sloppy. And stupid.

Lila, thank you so much!

Diana

Grazie tantissimo, Urban!

Amica mia, thou hast nailed it and I am sore afraid!

The very idea of sacrificing Gael or Santino to get Gianna a heart is repulsive. If this were a true drama it would be virtually a guarantee that it would be one of them. As it is I am fearing for them because inserting serious pathos in what is otherwise a comedy is nothing new for this network.

Diana! Mille, mille grazie! Diana. I'm uneasy about Sonia and her baby, Santino AND Gael. They're really messing with our heads. . . .and hearts!

ITA about Freddie. I'm sure she's going to be at the church wedding, maybe swinging into the sanctuary on a rope she has suspended from the ceiling, knife between her teeth, attempting to skewer Fiorella. Yah. Or something that stooopid.

Lila, I am putting your name in for sainthood for staying with this TN in such a dedicated fashion for us. Short and sweet and to the point. No worries, covered it all.

Blessed be, I'm with Vivi, this is the 21st century. Just tell the girl your suspicions and take the damn DNA test. Not going to hurt anyone. And if they even remotely go there to make that lush idiot Sergio her father, even though I still don't see how Petey and he are related, I'll implode.

love your whole comment doris but especially " Because, really, Patio, some teacher's 10th grade creative writing class is cranking out this story." To be truthful, I would say 6th grade class, because we know how middle schoolers are more apt to want to be gross & go for the stupider options.

Skankia is back, line up the bus. She needs to go down and now. Gia needs a heart, she doesn't have one except in the mechanical working sense, seems good to me. I'm going into my LaLaLand where Santino was just another PSA on being an organ donor. The fact I'm convinced that Julietta will hook up back up with that loser Sergio makes me hurl. To kill off Santino, especially if he turns out to be Fi's father, is beyond cruel. but then, sixth graders, they like to play video games with trolls who blow nice people up.

Was it me, or does Aitanna actually come off now as slightly deranged. Not the snotty, angry person, but truly bordering on unhinged? I mean, who kills with a hammer unless you are just slightly south of sane.

Daisynjay

Ditto for putting Lila's name in for sainthood. And Saint Lila has a lovely ring to it! Lovely idea.

"ITA about Freddie. I'm sure she's going to be at the church wedding, maybe swinging into the sanctuary on a rope she has suspended from the ceiling, knife between her teeth, attempting to skewer Fiorella. Yah. Or something that stooopid."
Gosh, I could totally envision Aitana doing that (instead of Fedeloca.).

Martillocide (murder by hammer) might be a new one for telenovelaland. But, eeeew, the blood spatters would be messy, especially in that hair of Ratana's.

HA! Daisynjay! Don't do that! The whole institution will crumble! Mille grazie! Mille, mille grazie!

Daisy, I will be imploding right along with you if they make that lush idiot Sergio her father, I'm trying to be patient with these folks and not fuss to much but we're going to need to become a support group here on the Patio if they do that and some other unspeakable things we've been alluding to!

Skankia is back, line up the bus. She needs to go down and now.

Amen, and let me drive it! And throw Aitana under it as I barrel through!

Daisy. If they give us some "he loved her so much, he gave her his heart" and then let Sergio be with Julieta. My gosh. I just don't know what I'll do!

Perish the thought! Perish the thought! Pretty ponies! Pretty ponies!

Was it me, or does Aitanna actually come off now as slightly deranged.

No, honey, Aitana is out there. Waaaay out there. Dante got off easily and though Aitana hasn't killed anybody, if they don't call the police and lock this chick up, she will be right there in the church with Freaky Freddie trying to off Pietrella on their wedding day!

Doris!

Martillocide (murder by hammer) might be a new one for telenovelaland. But, eeeew, the blood spatters would be messy, especially in that hair of Ratana's.

LOL! and YUCK! at the same time!

VIVI---thank you as always for filling in the details when my memory gets fuzzzy!
(Re: the Fiorella nausea teaser).
J in O

Like I said before, after all this we deserve the final wedding to be in some important chapel in Italy with no less than a cardinal performing the ceremony while Federica rots in the manicomio.

I'm with you, Urban. Let's go to Italy for a bodacious boda.

Lila, thanks for this great recap. JudyB said it right - you're saucy writer, Saint Lila.

I'll miss certain aspects of this novela, but it would have been so nice if it had been shorter. Not chopped shorter, actually written tighter, without all the spaghetti themes spiraling off into the distance.

Still hoping Katia is the heart donor. Freddie and Aitana don't have hearts, Eloisa's is old and wrinkled, Sergio's is pickled, and please, 6th grader writing team, not Gael, Santino, or Papi Chulo.

Again, thanks Lila, you rock!

Amen, Urban!!! Yes, we deserve all that!

Emilia Grazie tantissimo! What a wonderful turn of a phrase AND ITA:

it would have been so nice if it had been shorter. Not chopped shorter, actually written tighter, without all the spaghetti themes spiraling off into the distance.

You are so right. It was all that spaghetti that drove a lot of folks away!

Yes, why did they bring Katia back? Unless she gives her heart to Gigi, she is totally useless! If they're not going to do that, send her arse back to Portugal!

Gosh, I love that whole last paragraph and hope the tn gods are listening:

...please, 6th grader writing team, not Gael, Santino, or Papi Chulo.

Katia is in the story in the first place because it was her audition for Daniela in Poder. Same character with a different hair color.

But she's the right age. It will hurt Augustin, but somebody always gets hurt.

Late and missed three days traveling but want to drop in and thank you Lila and Sneaky for yesterday. I've got a lot of catching up to do tomorrow.

It's not a 10th grade class but an 8th grade class writing this thing

Mille grazie, Tofie amica! You're being kind. We've demoted them to 6th grade! Catch up and weigh in . You've got some crazy watching to do!

Oh I remembered that this novela was planned to be more longer, it was gonna last at least a year but it didn't have the best ratings in Mexico. The original story played by Angelica Maria and Ricardo Blume (who played Mario Bianchi in this remake) even had 2 parts because it was such a success.

Lila brief is good. Thank you for brief. And the recap. Eloisa IS full of it. And I don't believe that pilar is off. I think she is right on and she Is watching and listening, O I could be wrong, But that look on her face is very tellin.

Aitana's hair looks atrocious.

Wheres that dang letter vitto? He'll tell us later. Ok gotta go dinner's ready.

Thanks again Lila. :-)

Lila thanks so much for the recap. I missed the epi but I'm sure you got me up to speed
"One wonders if it is feigned." One does. I still can't figure her out.
this comment is too too "swinging into the sanctuary on a rope she has suspended from the ceiling, knife between her teeth, attempting to skewer Fiorella." oh I would laugh so hard. Its hard to be emotionally invested anymore, somehow I still care about a few characters though

Mille grazie Nina! Your whole comment is right on, Nina! A lot of us think Pilar is more together than they think.

And, I think they want Vitto to do the reveal as Vivi said earlier. There have been 101 ways Fiorella and Julieta could have discovered each other.

What. Ever!

Sneaky! Teamie! Mille grazie!! Sneaky. I hope I do laugh at some of the ultimas escapades! I prefer that to getting really pissed! Let's all laugh together!

I hope part of Aitana's punishment is having her head shaved. I would pay to see that.

J in O

Thank you Lila.

Isn't it dandy when a show is so incredulous that it's laughable? It cushions the blow.

Is it wrong I had a dream that Freaky Fred force-fed Furball Ai ground glass?

-Encaje Rojo

Buongiorno e mille grazie, Encaje Rojo! The ground glass sounds excellent, Encaje!

Yah, this is no where near as bad as La Gata but yah, it's better to laugh to keep from cussin'!

:D
