Muchacha Italiana Viene a Casarse #114 2-5-16 Mi Vida Sin Ti!

Ciao, miei cari Patio Peeps!  Andiamo. . .short e dolce!  Let's go!  Short and sweet!  No refrito!

Fidel shows Pedro the canvas bag with the hammer and screwdriver and pliers. Looks like Osvaldo is behind the deadly "home improvement!"  Os comes in grinning from ear to ear with a shopping bag full of baby stuff to show Pedro who slaps him with the accusation instead.

Sonia is practicing with her singing coach.  Be nice folks, she is practicing.  Freddie waltzes in and calls Sonia's attention to the loud voices coming from the study. Sonia goes to investigate.  Freaky Freddie (wish I could find a clever name to work "bitch" into her name) insults and evicts the coach!

Pedro collars Osvaldo who vigorously denies the charges and defends himself without huffing, puffing, or becoming obnoxious!  He understands Pedro's suspicions but stands his ground.  Sonia enters the study and joins the defense.  Osvaldo asks why would he want to harm Pedro when without Pedro the business would sink and why would he hide the incriminating evidence in his bedroom? Fidel thinks Os has a point and Pedro grudgingly agrees with Fidel that they will keep investigating more deeply.  Os cautions Pedro that someone is trying to drive a wedge between them and agrees that until the culprit is found, everyone remains under suspicion!

Simoneta talks to Roxi about her fight with Benni.  Quina enters the kitchen, ready for her and Roxi's shopping trip.  Simoneta's input is dismissed as busy-bodiness by mother and daughter and off they go!

At their hotel room Julieta and Santino talk about Fiorella.  Santino thinks Julieta is obsessing but finally agrees to accompany her to the Ranch to talk to Fiorella one more time.

Vitto chastises and counsels himself to give Fiorella the letter from her father, Mario.  He opens and reads it partially aloud, partially to himself.  Oh, my gosh!  He reads a part he hasn't seen before that says she has a right to decide whether she wants to meet her real parents, "Julieta Michel and Santino Ortzini"!  Holy Guacamole!!!!  Praise the Lord!  The date rapist whine-o is NOT Fiorella's daddy!

Fiorella tries to cheer Gianna up by looking at old family pictures.  They sigh and laugh and Fiorella chides Gianna about having a crush on 14-year old Luigi when she was 5!  One picture catches Fiorella's eye. . ."Who is this, you or me?" asks Fiorella.  "It's you, your name is on the back."  We get to see the picture of an adorable little cherub, old enough to sit up unaided, probably an adult's hand is nearby.   Fiorella notes the little lilac (lila!)  ribbon on her wrist in the picture. They look at more pictures and Gianna begins to feel homesick for Maratea and her mommy and papa. Fiorella ends the walk down memory lane. They hug.

Gael asks Eloisa if he can give Gianna a serenade, right there in the living room. She empathizes with the pain he feels for Gianna's condition and his desire to give her a new heart, a new life.  "Only love makes us strong at times like these," Eloisa muses. Although she doesn't like the idea of strangers in the house, she gives him permission to have the two singers come over and to bring Gianna to the big house. Misty-eyed hug.  Eloisa jokes that she doesn't want to mess up her eye makeup.

Sonia pays Pedro a visit in the study.  She tells him that Osvaldo is a changed man, honest! Pedro looks her dead in the eye and asks if she's being honest like the time she claimed they slept together and she was pregnant with his baby.  That kind of honest?

Fiorella is still with Gianna when Simoneta just opens the bedroom door up and lets Vittorio into Gianna's bedroom.  [Does it take that much time to write knocking, and then answering into the script?]  Vitto wants to talk to her now.  Simoneta agrees to stay with Gianna.

Sonia repeats her sob story of why she invented the false boink/baby daddy story: the devil (Assvaldo) made her do it but she's soooo sorry and repentant!  Pedro has to let her get a big dose of his furrowed brow and angry pout as he reminds her how much hurt and trouble she caused.  He finally forgives her but says it hurts to know that Osvaldo only wants him dead.  Sonia says it's true that Osvaldo has been blinded by ambition in the past but he's changed!  Pedro says he certainly hopes so.

Eloisa welcomes Fidel into the sinister fold as her confidant!  She admits that Dante was privy to some terrible things while Fidel's heart is clean, a blank slate.  She imagines that is why Dante didn't like him.  He must swear unconditional loyalty and absolute discretion in this most sacred of relationships.  He promises and she entrusts him with her first dark gem:  She thinks Federica had something to do with the chandelier incident.  I believe Fidel actually asked Eloisa if Freddie did anything compromising and she said "No, but be attentive to her every move."  Fidel says he will be watching.  Chloroforming and dumping Eloisa in the middle of a sketchy neighborhood doesn't count I guess!  Sheesh!

We get a cutesy montage of Quina and Roxi after their shopping spree:  Roxi tries on tiny little clothing which Quina hems to make tinier and they do each others nails and make up and Roxi looks like she's even having fun!  Grins, giggles and hugs!

Domingo and Simoneta take Gianna to the living room.  It's all decked out with flowers, balloons and blooming shrubbery.  There is a wide screen tv set up and within minutes we hear the sweet but sad refrain of Gigi and Gael's song by The Angels, "Mi Vida Sin Ti."  Oh my gosh!  It's not a music video -- it's THE ANGELS!!!   They are like, right there in the Angeles living room!  They sing to our beloved G/G while they hug, kiss and kanoodle and, oh, they're so cute!!  Eloisa looks down from upstairs with a soft smile, Freddie watches from behind one of the shrubs with a scowl.

Fidel returns to the study to announce that Osvaldo is innocent:  his prints are not on the tools but there are prints and they will check to see if they belong to Aitana. Osvaldo breathes a sigh of relief and tells Pedro that Abuela is right:  Freddie has a lot to do with this killer chandelier incident.  "Everybody has to be careful, especially you and Fiorella."

Zip across town.  Two investigators talk to Benigno.  Nope.  He doesn't know where Aitana is and he wants to know why they're looking for her.  They have a warrant for her arrest on suspicion of attempted murder!

Let's check in on Vitto and Fiorella.  I know I am not the only one that wanted to scream while Vitto rumbled over and over his apologies for withholding what he had to give Fiorella.  The letter was among some documents and things that she left at the airport in Mexico City.  He urges her to read it and she finally opens it and finds a tiny lilac ribbon, the very same one she wore on her wrist in the picture!  She asks why he had never given it to her and he asks her to read it for the umpteenth time.

"My dear, beloved Fiorella, my beautiful daughter.  In these moments that I am passing away I want to tell you first of all that I have always loved you ever since I held you in my arms for the first time.  But there always comes a time when we must face the truth and  there is a truth you must know and that I cannot take to my grave when I die. . . ."

Simoneta gushes over The Angels before they leave and a slightly green Domingo tries to hasten their departure.  After they are gone, Eloisa comes down and shares how much she liked the muchachos singing and she is glad they enjoyed it and had a good time but cautions that Gianna must now go and rest.  She leaves the two love birds alone.  Gianna almost faints.  Gael scoops her up in his arms and carries her from the living room.  Freddie, still in her bush, shoots daggers from her eyes and grouses that she doesn't think the Angeles money should be paying for little miss sickly.

Back in the study Pedro apologizes for suspecting Os.  He understands.  "I was full of rancor and jealousy because you were always above me.  But I truly want to change. I want to be a different man for my child."  Pedro tells him his parents would be proud of him.  "If I ever hurt you, with all my heart I apologize.  You will only get love from me from now on."  Big, vice like Man Hug, complete with glistening eyes! Os says, "Speaking of my parents.  I have to talk to Gael and explain something.  We can continue to talk later."  He leaves the study and Pedro looks pensive and amazed.

Julieta and Santino are ushered into Gianna's room.  She is not there but the pictures she and Gianna were looking at are.  They flip through them, smiling. . .

Fiorella continues reading her papa's letter.  "I never want you to forget how much your mother and I love you.  You were the sunshine of our lives and now as I am about to leave you, I have to tell you the truth so that you can decide if you want to meet your real parents. . .your real parents. . ."

Julieta and Santino's smiles have been replaced with shock as they stare at one of the pictures and Santino searches his lapel and pulls out the identical picture of the precious crumb crusher (or bubble masher) that they found on the bed that is marked. . . .

Fiorella continues, ". . .que se llaman, their names are Julieta Michel and Santino Ortzini."

Julieta and Santino look at each other, thunderstruck, ""IT'S FIORELLA!"

Oh, well.  Wasn't so short but hope it was sweet!

Peeps! If you do nothing else, please look at the video, "Mi Vida Sin Ti". If you are gah gah over G/G you will love it!

So. We got the reveal! Now, for the reunion!

Have at it!

Oh LILA, thank you so much! (I had to stop and watch the Angels singing Mi Vida Sin Ti and have a little cry.) I loved your excellent recap!
Fiorella got her big news in the letter, and Julieta and Santino are finally so happy. However, I don't think this precludes Sergio from being in the running as the baby-daddy...

"Does it take that much time to write knocking, and then answering into the script?" So funny!

However on the dark side, when Oswaldo swore to Pedro "Con el corazon te pido perdon", it brought up that heart imagery that made me queasy. Walking heart donor in the house.

Thank you again Lila for a great recap, enjoyed it so much!

J in Oregon

Amazingly, Osvaldo managed very good Pietros accusations of the chandelier mess without playing the victim role. This is the second time that Federica tries to get rid of him and fails. However that this time he was innocent doesnt erase all his past manipulation schemes, his abuse to Gael and Sonia, his planning of murdering Pietro, and kidnapping Fiorella. Surely he has the word death tattoed in his forehead.

Lila- Was out last night, so haven't seen any of the shows. But I could not resist reading your recap first. So snarkiky delicious. Yay! The adoption news is finally out! How the heck does Vitto justify keeping something like this from her? And you would think, since she had that heart to heart with Juli about Anibal, that Diana would have been stirred then to tell her about her long lost daughter. She read the letter and saw Juli's name too! Can Vitto and Diana just go away now?

Be back later after I've watched. Remember to label this.

Lila, soaked up every wonderful word of your sweet, sensational recap.

"Pedro collars Osvaldo who vigorously denies the charges and defends himself without huffing, puffing, or becoming obnoxious!" and "Pedro has to let her get a big dose of his furrowed brow and angry pout" were among my favorites.

Yes, I agree with you J and Marla in that Os is likely living out his last days here on earth. At least he has repented, although I suspect a long stay in purgatory as his list of transgressions is long and atonement will be necessary...

Am thrilled that Fiorella will finally be reunited with her parents! Can't think of a better ending for Julieta...

I enjoyed Roxi and Quina bonding over nail polish and her "tiny" (thank you Lila!) clothes.

And yes, it's absurd that Eloisa hasn't been able to compute the fact Fred dumped her in the middle of nowhere (of course that entire plot was absurd in and of itself) and figured out she is behind the nefarious events. C'mon Fidel - you are the brains here, please do the math.

Let's get Gi that heart so we can enjoy (hopefully) more than a few minutes of happiness...

Thank you Lila!

Diana

Thanks for the great early Saturday read Lila. English soccer and a great TN recap, my favorite way to start my day.

So I guess my suspicion that Os might be our heart donor is starting to get sea legs. But dang, not I'm feeling bad because he really is starting to be a decent guy. Guess that makes him heart worthy and the 6th graders probably think a heart filled with love is better than one with hate and pride (Skankia.)

But of course, poor Gia can't cut a break and looks like Fruitcake Freddie wants to save a few pesos and looks to be targeting Gia now. Seriously, is this girl everyone's punching bag? She better come out of this healthy, happy and get the BEST ending of everyone. This is beyond ridiculous what she has gone thru.

I can't even on that mother-daughter montage with Rox and Q. No wonder she is all about mommy now...she aids and abets those stupid outfits.

And Elo says Freddie hasn't actually done anything??? I agree, kidnapping, drugging and abandonment doesn't count. She should be in jail for that period. They would be saving themselves a lot of grief. And And Daddy being all shocked his daughter might be caught or capable of murder...now that was rich.

I hated the previews. I won't comment with plot, but Monday is going to painful I think with stupidity and dumb plot overflowing.

Daisynjay

Buongiorno e mille grazie a tutti!

J in Oregon grazie tantissimo! I am so glad I found that song by the Angels. The little snippets they would play when G/G were together are so sweet. Next, it's going on my iPod Touch!

However on the dark side, when Oswaldo swore to Pedro "Con el corazon te pido perdon", it brought up that heart imagery that made me queasy. Walking heart donor in the house.

They do seem to be telescoping Os as the donor, don't they? I see Marla agrees, too.

Vivi in DC! Mille grazie! Vivi, you make an excellent point about Diana that I hadn't thought about:

And you would think, since she had that heart to heart with Juli about Anibal, that Diana would have been stirred then to tell her about her long lost daughter.

Yah, let her and Vitto just. go. away!

Thanks for the reminder to label, Vivi!

Grazie tanto, Diana! I see we're all on the same page about Os.

ITA about the parent and child reunion and Julieta's getting a pretty sweet deal out of this little dramedy!

From the sublime to the absurd:

And yes, it's absurd that Eloisa hasn't been able to compute the fact Fred dumped her in the middle of nowhere. .

Let's get Gi that heart so we can enjoy (hopefully) more than a few minutes of happiness...

Diana, I SO agree with you. As Daisy outlines in her comment and as many of us have noted, Gianna has been the target of a lot of bullying, abuse and intimidation all on top of having a fatal heart defect! Basta! If Julieta can get such a story book ending, Gianna certainly deserves one as well AND poor Gael who has suffered the same from his father and "brother", the Ass duo.

Grazie, grazie tanto, Daisynjay!

You sum this up well about Osvaldo:

he really is starting to be a decent guy. Guess that makes him heart worthy and the 6th graders probably think a heart filled with love is better than one with hate and pride (Skankia.)

If he's the walking heart donor, it makes me feel for Sonia. Pedro has forgiven her and she is sooooo repentant but losing one, not to mention two babies is excruciating. She finally feels Osvaldo returning her love, they're both excited about the baby. . .yah, perfect set up for these sadists to bump him off!

I am so with you on this, Daisy!

targeting Gia now. Seriously, is this girl everyone's punching bag? She better come out of this healthy, happy and get the BEST ending of everyone. This is beyond ridiculous what she has gone thru.

Thank you for not mentioning the content of the previews. I always RUN from those because the previews color my take on the current show and thus the recap I write. It sounds bad, so here's my protective mantra:

Pretty ponies! Pretty ponies!

"Precious crumb crusher (or bubble masher)"

What a perfect description of a baby, Lila. Reminds me of a lot of messy high chair trays and fun times in the bathtub.

I WAS SURE Vittorio was going to fumble around and Fiorella would be called out to another crisis and AGAIN we would miss the big reveal. But whew, at last it's out.

And don't want to think for a minute that Osvaldo will be the heart donor. Federicka is my only choice. That could be her redemption...providing life to someone she has scorned for so long.

Daisynjay...an English soccer fan also?! Our son watches those games on the weekend and sometimes we end up fighting over whether it will be a Big 10 broadcast or the Arsenal game. Classic family squabbles.

Well, looks like Monday will be a little Sour with the Sweet. In the meantime, thanks for what was indeed a sweet retelling of last night's events Lila. You deserve far more than a little lilac ribbon for all your efforts on this one.

Lila - Great recap; thank you!!! And thank you for the link to the Angels' video!!!!! What a nice video.

I used the VPC (viewer's privilege card) and FFWDed--> thru the bulk of this episode.

Ta-DAAA!!!!! Matching identical baby photos trump DNA test any day! LOL

Os might end up as the heart donor, but there is something about this whole fairytale thing going with MIVAC that keeps telling me that he HAS TO survive. Otherwise, why bother with redemption and a happy fairytale ending?
"Pretty ponies! Pretty ponies!" + Kitten videos! Puppy videos!

We still have Aitana (maybe she will fall thru the ceiling during her next candelabrocide attempt) and Skankia, who has not yet left the country, as potential heart donors. And let's not Federica, although the Patio is not convinced she has a heart; stranger things have happened.

The Roxi/Quiana thing was sweet, cute, and still unbelievable how Roxi has accepted her new station in life. Whatever. It's telenovelaland.

Wow, so now Fidel even has a fingerprint ID kit? That must come with the residential security detail supplies.

JudyB! Mille grazie amica!

"Crumb crusher" and "bubble masher" are two pet names my late Father had for babies and being one of eleven he made, I am so happy to honor him this way! They are absolutely vivid and sweet monikers!

OMG JudyB, I was afraid they were going to drag out the reveal too! I was near screaming the way he kept beating around the bush for cripe's sake!!!

If Gianna gets the heart of either Skankia or Freddie, I'm just going to ignore some startling and amazing accounts of cell memory and imagine that Gianna's sweetness in the rest of her body and non corporeal spirit will overcome the venom in those hearts!

Awww, just call me Lila (Lilac), The Mystic Marmoset!

Grazie tantissimo, Doris!

I never thought I would say it but, yes, I want Osvaldo to live!

We'll repeat our mantras and cross our fingers!

Yes, Lila, there are those trouble stories about cell memory or about vegetarians who suddenly crave beer and brats because that was the favorite meal of the heart donor!

And so glad you told us the story of your father and his favorite pet name for all his babies. Sounds like the language was always lively and colorful (in the good sense!) in your house.

LOL--Judy my sons know to NOT mess with mom's TV viewing whenever she has soccer on, especially the Premier games or any UEFA championship games since my favorite Europe teams are usually in those. Goes for a Blackhawks hockey game too. There are just some things I can't forgive (she smiles).

I don't think I've watched a TN yet where someone we either love through the whole show, or who starts to get redeemed doesn't have that anvil of "sacrificial lamb" laboring over their head. Seems we always have one "good" person go down along with the anvil crowd. Some are down right "destroy the TV" worthy ( Un Refugio I'm looking at you!)when the character is bumped off, but if they do it here, at least you can feel he had done some pretty despicable things early on and his death would serve a positive. If they tried to make it Aitanna, even Gia may have a hard time knowing a crazy bitch was laying inside her.

Daisynjay

" If they tried to make it Aitanna, even Gia may have a hard time knowing a crazy bitch was laying inside her. "
Very good point!

Doris, you took Daisy's quote right out of my mouth! HA! Amen!

Grazie, Lila.

Gia had better survive this. That would be the ultimate cruelty to Fiorella and to Gael. And to us as we see Aitana, Katia, and Federica gloating over it.

Did Diana read the entire letter that time or was she interrupted? She didn't seem to know the name of Anibal's wife so how much fault do we assign her when her motivation was all about Fiorella being the object of Vittorio's obsession? Considering what a sociopath Anibal is I actually think Diana's suffered enough.

Mille grazie, Urban!

Don't know if Diana read the whole letter. I feel the implication that nobody had read the letter all the way. Diana has accepted Vitto whether he recovers all his money or not. The lawyer Vitto hires will probably help her beat the false murder charge. They'll probably be at Fifi's wedding holding the impossibly cute Betito. That's a good end for them.

(Betito was so cute trying to play with The Letter when Vitto was holding him. Then, he tried to get the toy at the table and Vitto blocked that at well. He didn't cry but he looked so cutely flustered! :D ).

that shore is sweet Lila, thank ya and thank ya to sneaky for yesterday

DnJ, Gianna is really the only reason I'm still watching, I just love her and Gael. He was feeding her and so cute. Fifi sucks all the oxygen out of the room so little sis is sickly, not a princess and doesn't have rich bio parents but for me she steals the show. I hate they made it her heart and talk about a transplant like growing out a bad haircut. No matter who's ticker it may be the little girl has a tough go of it if she survives the surgery.

I'm stunned Fifi got through that letter I didn't think she could read.

I haven't forgotten how much a wiener Osvaldo's been, nor how much a condescending shrew Elosia was for 7/10 of the show.

Hey, Tofie! Mille grazie! Let's pull for Gigi, indeed! That music video is too cute! Won't be long before we see how it all washes out!

Not really sure which genre of TN this is: fairytale goes one way, gritty revenge playcard goes another. I think we all agree Gi won't get a heart from a stranger. So maybe, maaaaayb, it will be one of the baddies that dies and gives the heart. *kitten videos, kitten videos...*

J in O

I really want Freddie to get hers. Don't know if anyone's keeping track of plot holes or dropped balls but I'm still waiting to hear what Dante was talking about "Gabriel's birth."

He got off kinda easy. Unless we envision him in hell!

Agree, Lila--and Dante's character has not been written black or white. I was never sure which side his loyalties were on...and wasn't there flashback at one time that made it look like Gabriel's death was an accident? I have lost track of so many flashbacks...

J in Oregon

Remember too he always seemed very protective of Eloisa. I kept thinking he was a double-agent type character...
J

Yes, well, he says it was an accident but it was more like he was going to kill Gabriel as Max assigned him to do but he was moved by Gabriel's begging and appeals. Dante told Gabriel he would tell Maximo he shot him and threw his body in the river and Gabriel needs to get lost. So, Dante shoots into the hay next to Gabriel and turns to leave when Gabriel jumps up, hits him in the back of the head and fells him. Dante is lying on his back, pulls his hand cannon and blasts Gabriel to kingdom come!

So. He intended to let Gabriel go after first intending to kill him and returned to the original intention after Gabriel struck back instead of running away.

Don't sound like no accident to me.

Lila Lila Lila, Mille grazie!!! Girl it was just long enough and just short enough to give us
The good stuff. Thank you my dear.
Now, will someone just chloroform freddy & take her out of our misery.
"(wish Icould find a clever name to work "bitch" into her name)". How about.... "Freaky bitchy freddy, "FBF".

Iam lovin the new osvaldo, no one has called
Him "ass"valdo in a while. Keep your fingers
Crossed people. Being nice makes him even
More attractive. The writers know that and
They're gonna ruin it for us just watch. I hope
I wrong.
Gigi should really stay in bed. Shes acting now like someone with a heart problem. Who
Will be sacrificed for the heart? Freddie? Noooo. It might be the bad weather thats got
Me thinkin like this way.

I get the feeling fi is not going to be happy in the turn of events. Not bein a spoilsport, that
Short advance they showed at the end. I dont
Like sergio, he's gettin evil. I think pilar will be better off without him.
Vitto should really try harder to get lady di out of the poky before little betito grows out of all that Cuteness. And maybe if they find a
Way to matrimonially come together they can give little betito a sibbling. Some good?-
Surprises comin monday, at least for us the
Patio peeps.
Diana may have read the other part of that letter, thats the part they stopped her from reading out loud. Bad writers :(° or whoever.

Yes that flash back that dante had a few times as a matter of fact, he was telling gabriel that maximo wanted him to kill him. But he didn't want to. And then he told him to
Leave town and he'd tell max he did it. But
Gab got pissed and came at him as he was
Walkin away knocked dante down, and dante pulled out his gun and shot him. A reflex thing, he was defending himself.

Okay, thanks Lila and Nina for clearing up my confusion. I appear to have a case of flashback-itis. Dante was so cruel to poor Pilar at the end, there was no excusing that and he deserved what he got, IMHO.

J in O

Grazie tantissimo, Nina! You said a mouthful and you nailed it, girl! Let's hang on as we come to the end of this thing. You certainly have helped make this a rockin' patio!

Oh Nina, I am also loving the redeemed Osvaldo even though I didnt hate the old one. I would like to have a little bit of hope that he will not have such a sad ending but he remembers me to Chalo from Querida Enemiga (another character of Mike Biagio) that here in caray caray was called Shallow. He was Saras accomplice but she end up killing him with an overdose of extasis. He was kind of repenting of his crimes and refused to continue helping Sara in her evil plans. It was so heartbreaking his death.

Hi, Lila, and thank you for your latest well done installment!

I guess we all agree that Gigi will get a new heart from the demise of someone we know in the cast. I hope it is a good match. I have known several people who have had transplants, and they have had all kinds of trouble with rejection problems. One heart transplant person that I know even told someone that if he knew what his post-transplant life would be like he never would have consented to the operation.

I don't think it's fair to yank Fio back and forth between bio kid/adopted kid/bio kid/adopted kid. That is a huge mental adjustment to make. She must just be devastated.

For all the things we thought about Vito, he sure has redeemed himself by the way he has interacted with Diana's baby. I take it that he sees here a way to be a father without ever having to have any of his superannuated body parts rise to the occasion.

Os also has gone through a redemption, although almost tragically so. He owes everything about his new station to Fio, who so graciously forgave him.

Although he is well intentioned and willing to do the job, I don't think Fidel's stint as security guy has been very successful so far.

Freddie peeping out from behind that plant reminded me of Artie Johnson on Laugh In. I think they should have had her say "Veeery interesting." They could also have her ride a tricycle out and tip it over.

David

Fidel's had that job for what, one day? And now we have Federica letting Aitana into the place. This is Helloisa's fault for not having Fed arrested for having shanghaied her into a slum.

Buongiorno e mille grazie, David! Wow! Those transplant stories are powerful! So often transplants are presented by the media, not just light fare like this novela, but more serious media pieces as just a plug and play operation as if we are just a conglomeration of so many exchangeable parts! That outcome is way worse than the cell memory enigma!

You know, they really could've left that whole Nicoleta line out of the story. Quite a waste of time.

I take it that he sees here a way to be a father without ever having to have any of his superannuated body parts rise to the occasion.

My, that is exquisite and a hoot at the same time! Look at all the trouble Diana went through to keep Vitto from knowing she had a child! Extortion, kidnapping of Betito, grand larceny! I hope they have both learned something about honesty and integrity!

OMG! Yes, Freddie as Artie Johnson on laugh-in! Tipping over on a trike would perfectly represent how successful her schemes have been and how seriously we all take her!

Grazie, David!

Talk about a plot hole, dropped ball or plain estupidez is why Federica wasn't punished in the least bit for what she did to Elo. It's like it never even happened!

David --- "Oh nooo, Mr. Biiiiillllll!!!"

Lila - maybe they edited out Fedeloca's punishment? Naaaahhh. Sixth graders have very short attention spans so that must explain it.

If Federica doesn't get an appropriate Karmageddon I'm through with "comedy" novelas.

UL, I think Fidel will do a good job overall, but he should be thinking tactically not strategically. For example, the middle of a very hot firefight is not the time to be pulling out a few machine guns for routine maintenance.

Lila what a brilliant thought about using the Artie Johnson's tipped over trike as a metaphor for Freddie's effectiveness.

Regarding Laugh-In, I first saw that program on the TV over a bar. I had been in Korea from Feb of '67 until Mar of '68, and never heard of it.

Doris, was Mr. Bill on Laugh-in? I thought maybe it was on SNL.

David

Woops meant UA not UL

David

David - ack, you are right. The trike sent me right to Mr Bill. That was a looong time ago. Eek.

Anon/David, you had me laughin out loud at
"I take it that he sees here away to become a
Father without having to have any of his
superannuated body parts rise to the occasion". That was do funny david.

And then "veeeeeery interesting" and tippin over on that tricycle. Thats funny just thinkin about her doing that. Freddy is so incrediably
Stupid. she's mad at everybody so she is willing to bankrupt the whole company and the family just to get back at Eloisa and Maximos stupid decision to steal. The anger is understandable but to try to kill everybody for it, that's ridiculous. Eloisa should have had her arrested back then for doing what she did but this is a tn and they do things or not do things for Effect.

Well I think we should cut Fidel slack cuz he's only been head of security for like what two days? and besides that, all the cameras have been removed because everything needs to be replaced cuz they're so old and antiquated its been there since Maximo was walking around, so he's doing the best he can with what he has so you know..... yaaaah Fidel!!!!! I declare that man looks like he needs a bra. Maybe its the lapels on his coat.

Vitto probably has enough strength to rise to the occasion just once before rolling over and dying with a smile on his face. Leaving
Diana a happy widow. And little mr cuteness
A big brother. :-D

Mr. Bill was so funny but early days of SNL. I didn't get to watch Laugh In after my older brother said "you bet your sweet bippy" at the dinner table and my mother found out what it meant but I was nine or ten and didn't understand anyway. My parents were ok with watching lots of TV because it helped them with their American idioms having immigrated from Asia in the mid 50's. They took the risk but my ultra traditional mother was constantly in a panic particularly when she heard my father laughing.

Lila, I'm late to the patio again but before tonight's show I wanted to thank you again for your generous literary contributions - I love your style! One of my favorites:
"Sonia is practicing with her singing coach. Be nice folks, she is practicing."
Which reminds me, I thought Freddie sounded pretty good in her one operatic effort there as she sang goodbye to the coach.
I (reluctantly) agree with J in Oregon that Sergio could still be Fi's dad - but I want them to drop that possibility immediately! Yuck!
Thanks again, Lila - and to you, too, Sneaky. You guys are great!
Ann C.

Mille grazie, Ann C.! You are always welcome, whenever you stop by! Sneaky and I are happy to ride this thing out to its finish with all our friends on this small but witty and highly involved Patio!

Freddie didn't sound badly when she was mocking the coach but I don't want to give that heffa any props! Humph!

Ann, I don't quite see how you and J think Sergio could still be Fifi's Daddy. Of course, being a novela, they can do anytyhing they want but we're in ultimos semanas and I don't know why they would spend all this time on "The Letter" that Vitto had all this time and all the heavy hints they kept hitting us over the head with for Julieta and Santino being the parents to flip the script in the final days to make Sergio the father. Remember, they also would have to come up with a pretty convincing story line for who Pedro's father is or we've just watched a hot, and incestuous love affair! Yikes!

I really hate the idea of that. Since there will be five double episodes before the end because ten were only half an hour, we have only about 15 episodes left unless there is more cutting. Has the finale date been announced yet? There is also too much else to be resolved, including the disposition of the remaining villains.

Fiorella is going to have a hard enough time dealing with Vittorio's delay in giving her the letter, the idea that the people who raised her were adoptive parents, and how she will feel at who her bio-parents are without it being complicated by the fear that Pedro is her half-brother. She doesn't deserve that, either. All that it will take to fix this is a DNA test for Fiorella, Julieta, Santino, and Sergio. NEXT!

I don't know, Urban. I'm always afraid to look for things like ending dates. Afraid I'll turn up a spoiler.

You are right about all those unresolved issues as well. There is also the matter of her not being biologically related to Gianna but we know nothing can break the bond of love those two have for each other.

Let Sergio sober up, help Pilar heal, and rebuild a life with her!
