Tres Veces Ana - Episode 24 - Old tears and new(ish) intrigues

Happy almost-Tuesday everyone!  Scenes below are consolidated as there was much interruption and some of them lasted half an episode :)

If you remember from Friday we ended on Ana Lu calling Sole and Sole going off on her for disappearing without any notice.

Meanwhile Ramiro shows up to meet Inaki at the apartment to sign papers and instead meets with the surprise presence of Ana Le there. She shows him the ring that she fished out from the trash can after Llora dropped it there. Ring is cheap, she says – couldn’t he have afforded something better?
Ramiro admits ring isn’t expensive, but it’s the feelings that matter, and regardless of what Ana Le says or does, he will find a way to Llora’s heart. Well, says Ana Le, blood is thicker than water, and Llora will always back Ana Le for the love she has for her sister. We begin to believe her that even if Ana Le strangled a puppy in front of Llora, later Llora would be convinced that the puppy was an evil alien sent in by Ramiro as a part of his super evil world domination plan.

Ramiro thinks Ana Le will prevent him from signing the contract for the apartment. She has no such intentions. We, like Ramiro, wonder why. Ana Le, in turn, wants to know why Ramiro wants to have this particular apartment. Well, he made a promise to a good friend. Ana Le laughs this off. He delivers an impassioned speech on his feelings for Llora that will endure time, no matter what Ana Le thinks or does, and he will find their lost sister to reunite her with Llora, and should that sister be dead, he will give the peace of that knowledge to Llora. Ramiro will reconcile with the whole family soon and there is nothing impossible for him.

Alright, nice speech and all, but was it really so necessary to not so much even speak it, as breath it into Ana Le’s face, standing oh-so-very-close? What point was that supposed to make? You are trying to seduce me or frame me, so I will make sure to put myself in the most compromising position possible, just in case someone should happen to walk in?

Ana Le wants to know if he has any info on Ana Lu. Ramiro says he doesn’t, but he will certainly promise her that she will be the last to find out when he does. Ah, he has a sense of humor it seems. Ana Le thinks that it’s interesting such a studious, even boring, kid as Ramiro, now grew up to not only want to live in Marcelo’s apartment, but be an investigator. Does he want to emulate Marcelo? Ramiro reads through her and says that it seems to him she would prefer Ana Lu was dead.

So next time we cut to these two, Ana Le is ready for Ramiro to sign papers. She stretches out her…um…butt and suggests Ramiro uses this unusual firm (soft?) support for paper signing. Now I was expecting him to at least attempt to sign the papers on, you know, that folder he was holding, or any of the dozens of surfaces around, but he wasn’t even fazed. Yup, he’ll sign them right there as soon as she produces the papers and he makes good on his promise. Ok…really??

Mariano spent the first half of the episode putting his foot in the mouth and the second half having trouble with its removal. He goes to see Llora and tells her that he is like a father to her and ask her to trust him more. Llora cries and thinks she doesn’t deserve what Ramiro has “done” to her. We respectfully disagree and opine that she deserves to be hit over the heat with a heavy stick, preferable made of common sense. Llora wonders why she can’t be more like Ana Le. Why, because she is insecure and sensitive, says tio Mariano. She should also know that she doesn’t need to be by herself, she will always have family backing her up. Llora thinks he means she can’t fend for herself.

Mariano explains the difference between men and women, and what each gender is looking for in a partner: women, apparently, look for sensitivity and intelligence, and men look for “other things”. Llora takes it to mean exactly what it came across as: outer physical appearances. Mariano does nothing to correct this. He really should have quit (while only a little behind) a couple sentences into this conversation.

Mariano leaves Llora to her crying and goes downstairs to wonder to Ernestina that he felt like his words did more harm than good. Well, duh, dude.

Back in San Nicholas, Chana takes a phone call from Sole, who informs her that Ana Lu will be coming by her house and under no circumstance is Chana to either disclose the truth or let Orlando speak to Ana Lu.

Ana Lu has already, in fact, run into Orlando all on her own. Cue usual telenovela verbal exchange of misunderstandings: Orlando wants to tell her the truth about why Sole had to leave town so quickly. Ana Lu already “knows”, and it’s sensitive personal info, so she asks Orlando to stay out of it. Orlando is very confused.

Creepy Valentin has come to visit Llora and cheer her up. He is entertained by Abue, who listens to his story, but says that Llora won’t be able to see him – she is very depressed. Tin asks to play oboe to abue, and when Llora hears him play from upstairs, she interrupts her blame relocation session (in which she was explaining Leonor how what happened with Ramiro is all Leonor’s fault, as the latter encouraged Llora to go after Ramiro) and joins Valentin downstairs. They play for a while and she cracks a smile. Let’s finish Llora’s storyline right here at this smile, as I doubt it will get any better and I am not sure how many more crying sessions we can take.

Ana Lu comes to visit Chana, and gets money for the things in their store that Chana sold. Ana Lu asks Chana to read cards to Santi. Chana says she sees a woman, who meant a lot to Santi, sees intrigues and betrayal. She sees three women. One of them is noble and her love can potentially save others.  One woman is his wife and another is his lover. Santi needs to prepare - things are about to change and there is death in the cards as well.

Ana Lu is affected by this reading. Chana asks for a couple of minutes alone with Ana Lu. Ana Lu tells her again about her own dream of three women and three girls. Chana insists that when Santi finds out truth about his past, Ana Lu will understand the significance of three girls. (Ok, Chana – you could just tell her a part of this truth right now, couldn’t you??) Santi is about to go to Costa Paraiso, meet his wife and ask for divorce, explains Ana Lu. He will go, says Chana, but will not return (are we to understand that this means the memory will be recovered soon??). His wife won’t let him go and she needs to make peace with that. Ana Lu is not the wife, she is the lover of a married man.

Ana Lu is distraught, but they make plans to leave anyway. Turns out all the tires are flat on Santi’s taxi, and he is off to get that fixed. Who could have done that, wonders Ana Lu. Well, Chana’s list is short and only has Orlando’s name on it.

Meanwhile at the house of depression, Valentin wants to know what troubles Llora. She doesn’t want to tell him, as she betrayed him. She finally spills the whole Ramiro story. If Llora will still have him, Valentin is willing to forgive it all. Will she be his girlfriend? She will, and she also promises to never betray him again. She also reiterates her promise to not trust anybody any more (I have to say, Valentin played it well here – right into Llora’s issues. He started lamenting that he is an “incomplete” man compared to Ramiro, what can he expect from women. Llora ate it right up).
Tin later tells Abue that he is in love with Llora. Leonor listens and tries to burn him with her gaze. Later, in a conversation with Llora, Leonor tells her that she didn’t expect it and Llora is making a mistake. Leonor wonders if, perhaps, all Ramiro told Llora about Ana Le was true, and Llora is appalled at the suggestion .

Meanwhile at the constructora, Ana Le brings the signed contract and hands it to Inaki. He is to remember nobody must know about it, and if he spills the beans, nobody can know that Ana Le signed the contract. Why would she do this in the first place, wonders Inaki. Ramiro is an old friend and she wanted to help. Inaki leaves and Ana Le is giddy with the knowledge that Inaki will be fired this very day. So she was planning on spilling the beans herself to the uncle, with a side of some Ana Le made-up events.

Inaki, as it turns out, is not that dumb and not having bought this act, goes directly to tio’s office and tells him that Ana Le signed this contract despite the problems the family has with Ramiro. Mariano is outraged and storms into Ana Le’s office for an explanation. It will definitely be entertaining to see her find her way out of this one tomorrow. Though, like a cat, she has seven lives.

Thank you Ria.
You are so right Valentin played his cards so well and ended up getting A Llora to commit to him. He must be giddy with himself. He reminded me again of the Pied Piper when A Llora gets herself down in a NY minute.
Previously Inaki took Santi to see his new apartment and Santi felt he had been there before. Inaki confirmed that Marcello and A let lived there until Marcello died. (That was Inakis apt). But.....then Ana Let says the apt that Ramiro leased was her "x departamento".

So do you know which one of the two dwellings Marcello/A Let lived in???

I also noticed how close Ram got to A Let, I felt he was getting a bit aroused, though he doesnt even like her.

I laughed when she stuck out her butt for him to sign contract. It was like a comedy, and you're right, he coulda used the kitchen counter or the folder to sign, but no.

Can you imagine if those of us involed with clients signing contracts and we bent over and stuck out our butt?? I think I would get reported for inappropriate business behavior. What a hoot!!!!

Leticia

Thank you Ria.

"(while only a little behind)"

Ramiro loves the little game Let plays. I don't like him, do not believe him sincere, and he's no more than a spoiled playboy out on his own for the first time.

It was so funny when Chana smacked Lucia with the truth. She is no more than the lover of a married man.

Bless you Ria. This was prefect. I'm no esrly bird to sleep, but after being up to the wee hours the night before listening to all the CAVS celebrating, my eyes were not cooperating trying to watch this. Truthfully, might have had something to do with these people being so stoopppidddd!

Ramiro-- good lord, some galan. I swear if AnaMeMeME had moved in one more inch and gave him a good long kiss, he would have been toast. And he should just shut up about his intents. Nothing like telling the person you know is trying to ruin your plans exactly what your goals are. Stoopppppiddddd.

As for the two Crey Babies...yeah I drifted off with all things Llora and Valentin. The4 woman is so deep in her feelings of being inadequate that she is ANYONE's perfect foil to get her to fall for them. And her relatives do such a great job og getting her the help she needs to heal....Mariano?? Stooopppidddd.

And what is it about reading cards as a valid plot ploy to tell people about what's going on in their lives. Sorry. That makes me chuckle. Because it is so stoooppppidddd.

Hope Chana is right and everything implodes for Santi and the fearsome threesome. At least we woulde have something interesting happen. All this maneuvering is getting boring....and stooopppiddd.

Thank you, Ria! Thank you for saying exactly what I was thinking as I shook my head during many of these scenes. Good grief, these folks are idiots. Leonor's the only one in that household with any sense.

Maybe I missed something, but has Chana encouraged Soledad to tell the truth at all? This is ridiculous that at one hand she's giving Lucia hints about finding out her truth, while helping Soledad hide that truth. I wonder who the third woman is who will help Santi/Marcelo? I can't see Llora being helpful to anybody, so it must be Jenny.

Thanks all.

Leticia, the way I understood it, this WAS A Let and Marcelo's apartment and that's why she calls it her former apartment, since she moved out when Marcelo "died". Your comment of Ana Let's like behavior with clients and consequences in real world was awesome - butts and contracts indeed!

Tofie - agreed, Chana telling Ana Lu what she already knows - that she is a lover only - was entertaining.

Daisynjay- ditto to all those sentiments and especially on Llora's feelings of inadequacy. Chana's exceedingly accurate card readings make me laugh as well - she should be revered as some kind of miracle and various dignitaries should solicit her advice on political matters and world peace. She is squandering such talents on petty love story predictions

Vivi, sadly I am afraid Llora was who she meant as the one who will help or save them with her love, as I think it came out in the discussion of the triplets or three women. Holding out hope like you though that there is someone else who will actually be helpful...

Thank you for the excellent recap Ria!

"We respectfully disagree and opine that she deserves to be hit over the heat with a heavy stick, preferable made of common sense" was my favorite line of many.

I enjoyed Ana Let and Ramiro's little dance. Leticia, I thought that Ramiro was just going along but that (unlike other times) he is not attracted to her now and will be a worthy adversary (at least I hope so).

Valentin has now ingratiated himself with Ana's family. Oh. No. So now he and Ana are back and Ramiro is out. Yet another "conscious uncoupling". Ack.

Vivi, I laughed at your "I can't see Llora being helpful to anybody". Very true. She is the most easily manipulated character I've think I've ever seen in a TN.

Thank you again!

Diana

Gracias, Ria.

Tofie, I think Ramiro is determined to beat Ana Leticia at her own game. He gets dangerously close to show he can survive any gross seduction attempt of hers that she thinks will always work. Had he gone over to the kitchen counter to sign the contracts she would have gotten on his case for his inability to withstand the temptation. Not that I didn't find what happened annoying but there was almost no way to win this round.

He should have the locks changed before he moves in to the new apartment. I'm sure she has an extra set to whatever ones she handed him.

Vivi, I can't recall Chana ever telling Soledad to come clean. I have expected that of her because people who read cards in novelas always warn people in that situation that lies and hidden truths will come back to bite them on the tush.

Predicting that as soon as Ana Lucia performs and there are photos in the local paper that someone will see her picture and realize she is the missing triplet. If that someone is Ana Leticia she will probably put a hit out on her.

I agree UA, but Let has owned him so far and the game on his part ego driven. She isn't really hot for him nor he for her, they both love to play with fire.

Thanks, Ria. Your recap was excellent. I hope to see the episode later today.

Ana Leticia is only out to get all the family money and all the male attention. She seems to be deeply resentful at not having been an only child.

Had their parents lived I don't think their mother would have allowed things to get to this point. Based on that opening scene in the car prior to the "accident" she had her number. What is really bugging me is that Mariano is oblivious to all this. He's been a world-class womanizer from the get-go and doesn't see Ana Leticia's tricks. I wonder whether he'd recognize that if someone shot a video with a cell phone and played it back to him.

Urban- I was thinking the same thing about the locks. Change the locks, Ramiro!

How does Valentin plan to avoid Mariano? I guess he knows Mariano basically ignores Ana Llora and never goes to her house. But the first time he spots Valentin the jig will be up. The second time Tio Mariano flips his lid and tries to drive yet another novio off citing his a fraud and after her money, will Llora stand by her man, or fold like a cheap seat as she did with Ramiro?

Thank you for this recap, Ria. It was very entertaining and quite necessary - I fell asleep during one of AnaLet's scenes with Ramiro. I find her tactics tiresome - literally. And why does he dignify her taunting with a reply? I know Ramiro's a nice guy, but he's got to learn how to not-engage with people. And I agree, I can't believe he used her butt as a desk.

Mariano's conversation with Llora didn't make me any happier. And I'm glad I missed Chana's card reading - I think I would gone crazy. And Santi's taxi? at this rate he will never make it to Costa Paraiso. The airplane will have flat tires too.

Hopefully tonight's episode will be a little more stimulating, what with Mariano mad at AnaLet and all. I hope it takes her more than five minutes to talk her way out of this one.

Oh and I can think of one reason Chana might not have warned Soledad that her lies will come back to bit her: maybe she sees another, darker fate in the cards for Soledad and doesn't want to tell her. (Did we ever get the results back on all of Soledad's medical tests?)

Urban, regarding your prediction about AnaLu getting her pictures in the newspaper - I predict that, through a number of improbable and humorous happenings, everyone who needs to see those pictures will miss them. Like they will drop a spoonful of jam on the paper at breakfast, or just as they are picking up the paper the phone will ring and then they'll have to leave in a hurry.

When someone does finally spot AnaLu (or vice versa) it will be an unexpected, random coincidence, like running into a coworker at the mall.

Good point, Julie. That delays the real action just as the flat tires (which Santiago can't afford to replace) will delay their return to DF.

No new cliches added last week. Wasn't that a miracle.

Well we missed a night or two last week - more futbol means fewer cliches. LOL.

I do think the pace wouldn't be so frustratingly slow if we were getting five episodes a week. It's hard to maintain the momentum with this irregular schedule.

Which is getting even harder with Yago. GRRRRRRR!

Thanks Ria!!!

Vivi: I was thinking the same thing! One look from Mariano and Val's jig will be up. I'm wondering if Val will try to get ALlora to marry him in secret soon.

Did AnaLlora even tell Ramiro in person that the engagement was off?! Would he even know if AnaLet hadn't shown up with the ring? Did I miss a scene?

I love how delusional Ernestina is! She was beaming at Valentin over dinner. Because he is in a wheelchair he must all goodness and light. I do wonder if AnaLet will go after him now too?!

Carvivlie - I'd like to see that (AnaLet going after Tin). She's going to be so busy messing with her sister, she won't have time for a life of her own.

What am I saying? She already seems to have no life of her own, other than lusting for her uncle. She spends the rest of her time messing with other people. Someone should teach her to knit, because she needs a hobby.

Gracias Rio.

In addition to the shocking (!) way in which Ana Leticia presented her body as a platform for Remiro to sign the contract, the manner in which she slithered the keys on his body left me wondering if Ramiro secretly enjoys the flirtation/seduction attempts.
Ana Llora does indeed have more to cry about; yes, her tears seem to be endless.

3 Veces is really Goldilocks and the 3 Bears, with Santi/Marcelo being Goldilocks, ALet is too much, ALlora is too little and ALu is just right.

Good one, Carvivlie! Now we're just waiting for Santi to break a bed!!

Mariano spent the first half of the episode putting his foot in the mouth and the second half having trouble with its removal.

Always love how you condense the action into one witty sentence Ria. Well done. Haven't watched this yet. Sounds like more of the same. And like Daisynjay still savoring the Cavaliers win and the general euphoria in Ohio.

I agree with the commenter though who said we need Chana to advise our governments. Someone with a clear vision of what's going on and what will happen is greatly needed.

Hoping one and all have some kind of victory to celebrate today...and thanks again Ria.

Diana, I also hope Ramiro can hold his own against Ana Le, let's hope he thinks something up!

Urban, oh Ramiro definitely should change the locks!! Otherwise he might get an unwanted visitor.

Vivi - good point about Mariano!! It totally escaped my attention. Valentin DOES know Mariano, and vice versa, and they don't have a friendly history together. So what is he thinking indeed? He is coming over to their house, playing with fire! Unless he has something up his sleeve.

Julie, oh I bet it will happen exactly as you say. Lost of missed chances to encounter Ana Lu and some sudden occurrence when we all get tired of Ramiro and others standing right in front of her and looking away at the last minute and give up on the story line ever progressing. Speaking of misses encounters - what happened to Isidro? He disappeared again.

Anon 2:18 - I wonder too if Ramiro enjoys interactions with Ana Le!

Carvivlie - Ernestina really is delusional!

JudyB, celebrating Cavaliers with you!!! :)

Thanks for recap

Ria,

Thanks for explaining about Ram's new apartment being A Let and Marcellos apt. I had thought Inaki's apt was ALet and M apt because Santiago said he remembered being there before even describing where furniture was placed. In fact, it kinda had freaked Inaki out.

Yes Ernestina is delusional. So weird the family thinks Ram is a gold digger even though he is a professional and capable of providing ALora a comfortable life even without her money. But Carvivie is totally right that just because he is in a wheelchair he is this wonderful person. She is fully aware that he was playing in the park for his supper yet it doesn't occur to her that maybe he is the golddigger. In my heart, I think that deep down Ernestina thinks ALlora and Valetin are perfect for each other based on their disabilities and love of music.
He-he Carvive the comparison to Goldilocks is so funny but true. Analu is the only one that is just right.
I also think it is Analu or Leonor that Chana was referring to when she read the cards about noble woman who save them.
I really missed the tn tonight and hope they show it tomorrow. I cleaned my closet since I didnt watch tv, so that was good though.

Thanks Ria and Jardinera for your time and work to get these recaps up. You are both awesome.

Leticia

Inaki is the one living in Ana Leticia and Marcelo's old apartment. Remember, Inaki found out he is living in their old place and that's how he found out their names and told Santi. When Ramiro was looking at his place, he said he had a friend that used to live in the building. The apartment he now has is the exact same as Marcelo's old place.

thanks, Ria. i tuned in just as Letme turned, bent over, and presented her teeny tiny tight backside for Ramiro to use as a desk. Wait ? what? Miss Subtle.

Mr. Clarinet gives me the creepies.

Maybe I can concentrate on this show better after the July 9 season finale of Outlander. I have been distracted by all the angst and danger of that show lately.

Oh, Leticia and Vivi - you guys are right, and Inaki's apartment was Ana Le's and Marcelo's. The one Ramiro is renting is exactly the same, and so THAT is what Ana LE was taunting him with - that is renting an apartment that is identical to what she and Marcelo had. Sorry for confusion!

Susanlynn, totally agree on creepies from Valentin! Especially as he switches from smiley nice guy to stalker. Some good acting there.

Leticia, you have inspired me clean a closet or something tonight. At least, that is my goal. It will help keep me awake during any frustrating or repetitive conversations. :-) I really hope they'll throw us a bone tonight and have one of the plots go somewhere.

I agree about Valentin. I have never seen this actor in a creepy role before and wouldn't have expected to... but it's working. And he is probably having a lot of fun.

Was there no episode last night?

Football Urban.

Julie, saw the actor play a Sheik, or something like it, in CI. He was completely unbelievable but good costumes.

Carvivlie- That, along with so much of CI, was ridiculous.

Please, let that sleeping dog CI lie. Yes, I remember the sheik. ..unfortunately...At least, he did not play the clarinet. I have taught a lot of guys from the middle east, and none of them looked like this guy. The actor must have been a relative of the person casting that show. Weird.

Ria please accept my late thanks

my favorite line was ". We begin to believe her that even if Ana Le strangled a puppy in front of Llora, later Llora would be convinced that the puppy was an evil alien sent in by Ramiro as a part of his super evil world domination plan. " tee hee its funny cause its true

Thanks Vivi for that bit of info about apartment. Yes, that is what A let was doing, taunting Ram he wanted to live in an apartment like Marcellos because she also said Ram coveted everything Marecello had (of course she includes herself).

Judy I am glad I inspired you to clean closet, it feels so good. I have my bin of clothes, shoes and purses ready to drop off at goodwill.

I think we are going to be frustrated thinking A Let is in trouble w tio, but she is going to talk her way out of it and end up smelling like a rose with Tio apologizing to her. I hope that I am wrong, but she is just sooooo cunnning.

Leticia

Thanks, Ria. I nod off during Ana, but the recaps and comments here keep me coming back. Always a blast.

Diana, my take is the same as yours on Ramiro and Ana Let. I thought he was all up in her face and practically signing the contract on her tooted up butt to show her he's not tempted one iota by her. Looks like she will have to drug him to get him in a compromising position for Ana Lloro to see.

So I am taking it no Ana today as well? There is still futbol on Uni...I caught some very impressive downpour live there, which I am guessing delayed things. Unless they are planning to air it at 1 am, we are probably out of luck until tomorrow night.

Boo hoo, cant believe no show two nights in a row.

Guess we will need to see if it will show tomorrow night. Bummer

Leticia

Yes, here on the East Coast the rain delay for the game pushed Ana either totally out or really late. Not sure what happened on the West Coast. Give a shout out, West Coast peeps, and let us know.

WHT bother to create sports networks if they're going to pre-empt normal stuff? This is maddening.

I am also curious if they ended up showing it last night or what. I saw them trying to slosh the water off of the playing field and realized they were going to hold the match even if the players drowned in the process. Egad.

Just saw this great article and video about positive body image pop up on Facebook, and one of the models made me think of Ana Llora, because she's just the opposite: http://www.bustle.com/articles/166499-how-to-get-the-perfect-bikini-body-for-feminists-video

Oh darn, the safeguards our adult son has put on a computer are keeping me from seeing this site, Vivi. I'm sure it's interesting. Oh well.

Judy- Once of the models only has one leg, the other leg is amputated all the up to near her hip, and she is proudly wearing a bathing suit and looking fabulous.

Thanks Vivi. Attitude is everything isn't it?
