Yago, #25, Monday 6/27/16: "Doesn't it feel good to tell the truth?"

Hold onto your hats. When Yago characters show up for an episode, they mean business!

We begin with a memory. I hadn't yet figured out how to do captions during this part so I'm not sure exactly what was said, nor even whether it was Yago's memory or Lucio's. But Yago and Lucio are playing in Jonas's workshop, and then Lucio is getting scolded by his mother (or grandmother). Yago says Lucio should have thought twice before betraying Omar.

In the present, Lucio's had a giant smart TV delivered. What a great daddy! What a nice house full of fine things!

Alejandra/Susana and Damian/Rufino chat in Dam's car. He invites himself to her apartment, but she says no, her roommates are too nosy. Dam says congratulations, you passed my first test. Now pass my second test: give me your real name. Ale says she'll tell him hers if he tells her his. Dam says he's Oscar Bravo. (Oh, come on. And I'm Juliet Sierra! Meet my friend, Victor Whiskey X-Ray Yankee Zulu!) She says she's Felicia Requena. "Doesn't it feel good to tell the truth?" Damian asks. She gets out of the car and pretends to fumble with her keys as he drives off. Then she takes off down the street. Dam in fact only pretended to drive away; now he follows her on foot.

After the argument from the previous episode, in which Lorenzo's camcorder catches that Abel killed Lorenzo's father, Abel tells Teo he's taking Lorenzo to the EEUU. Teo half-seriously suggests that Abel adopt him. He promises that Abel can count on him for whatever he decides to do.

Damian has ordered a background check on "Felicia Requena." There are only two such people: one is 12 and the other is 70.

Lucio is at Abel's place. He wants Abel to sign those papers for him. Abel says he's got things to do, and the world doesn't revolve around what Lucio wants!

Ambar is at the doctor's office. It looks like she tore off a section from a crystal chandelier and decided to wear it as a necklace. Well, the doctor says she's doing fine and can continue with the current treatment. However, she still needs an operation, which she's been putting off for years. She should do it for her future - and for her love. Ambar agrees.

Katia, Teo, Fidel, and Yago discuss Lorenzo. Katia says the boy won't make a good witness because obviously he doesn't remember anything - otherwise he wouldn't trust Abel. Teo says he'll give them a heads-up when they go to the airport tomorrow so they can nab him there.

Damian follows Alejandra/Susana/Felicia to school. He quickly realizes that she is not the ragamuffin she's pretended to be - especially when he sees her face on a poster. She's a prizewinning journalism student. A bystander tells Dam that he can read all about it on the university's website.

Ambar and Abel have ice cream in the park. She tells him that she's living with Yago, and she's going to have the operation because of Yago. Abel is quite miffed, since he's been nagging her to get that surgery for years.

At home, Lucio rants to Sara about ungrateful Abel who won't sign those papers. Sara says that if this guy's a friend of Yago's, then surely he's trustworthy and it ought to be safe for Lucio to sign his own name.

Camilo rants at Raul to hurry up finding out about Yago through Katia. Is she in love with Yago? Raul says that Yago is like a god to Katia. Camilo demands that Raul pick up the pace.

Ale runs into Bruno at school. He asks about her "luke" and she says she got up late and didn't have time to do her hair. He then brushes her off, which is only fair since she's still lying to him which is the one thing he can't bear.

Ambar's trying to cook dinner in Yago's beautiful kitchen. Seriously, if you could see my kitchen next to Yago's kitchen, you'd weep for me. I don't know what she's making, but there are onions and mushrooms, and I can almost smell them. But she cuts herself and then burns her hand and drops the pan. I'll also add that she's wearing a white blouse and open-toed shoes, which tells me that she's never had an accident in a kitchen before. (You learn. Oh boy, do you learn.)

Yago, Sara, and Abel meet on a roof. I believe it's the very same roof where they used to party as old friends. Abel is still suspicious of Yago and wants to know why they're meeting behind Lucio's back. "Haven't you ever betrayed a friend before?" Yago asks. He acknowledges that Abel is worried about Ambar, what with him and Sara screwing around all over the place, and offers to break up with her if Abel wants. Abel says no, not till she has the operation. Yes, Abel says, Sara is having life-prolonging surgery because of her love for Yago. Abel calls Yago and Sara a couple of rats, and departs.

Meanwhile, Lucio meets with Fidel, who proffers a document for Lucio's signature. Lucio, that clever fellow, actually reads the document first and realizes that his property is going up as collateral for something. Fidel says, "hey, you gotta play if you wanna win." Lucio wants his lawyers to look it over first. Fidel says lawyers shmawyers, there's a whole waiting list of guys who want to partner with him. Fidel gave Lucio priority because he's a friend of Yago, but he can't wait any longer.

Lucio heads for the door, but Fidel is immediately on the phone, asking (in between mouthfuls of dinner, which he's been eating all through this meeting) someone else to sign up on this great deal. Lucio relents, and signs the document. "Muy bien, partner!" Fidel declares.

Yago tries to cheer up Sara. She says that sometimes she feels she doesn't deserve to be happy. Yago shouldn't love her. Yago says he loves her anyway, and kisses her. For a moment, Sara sees Omar's face and becomes flustered.

Damian/Rufino/Oscar has been looking at the university website and Ale's blog. He calls Ale/Su/Felicia and says he's got a job for her.

Ambar is an emotional wreck by the time Yago gets home (yet her blouse is still clean). She wanted to surprise him with dinner, oh well. She tells him about the operation and he tries to look surprised. Ever since she's been with him, she wants to live longer. She doesn't want to go to sleep and never wake up, or spend the rest of her life in a hospital bed like her mother did.

Lucio goes home triumphant. He says to Sara, ain't life funny, we robbed that casino and now it's going to make us all that money. Sara is stunned: "Wait - you mean the deal was with Fidel Yampolski??"

Yago gets in bed with Ambar. Luckily, all she wants is to spoon.

It's the next day. Abel and Lorenzo are at the graveyard; Lo wants to say goodbye to his father before they leave. Abel is uncomfortable, but Lo makes him speak: "say goodbye to your friend!" So Abel wings it: "Uh, Facundo, my friend, I promise to care for him as if he were my own. Rest in peace, friend."

Katia and Raul go to a restaurant. It seems like a nice place, but it appears to have - I forget what you call it - that thing where multiple parties sit at the same table. They pick a table, and the other people there get up and leave! Katia sees two women come in, and wants to leave - one of the women is her mother! (No way is THAT a coincidence!) She tries to get out in a hurry, but a loud noise (did Raul break a glass on purpose?) draws Mom's attention. Mother's eyes lock with Katia's. Oh dear.

Sara and Lucio hear a ruckus outside their bedroom and find that all their stuff is being seized by order of a judge. Lucio is arrested for fraud.

Katia pleads with her mother to let her back into the family. "I've been clean for years," Katia says. Mother indicates that she's heard all that before. Katia nearly destroyed her family.

Abel and Lorenzo arrive at home to find Teo waiting for them. It's time to go to the airport! Lorenzo just asks for five minutes to get his camcorder.

At the restaurant, Katia and Raul argue so loudly about whether or not Katia is an addict (Raul insists that she is not), that Katia's mother and her friend get up and leave the place. (Hey, I just discovered that Hulu, like Univision, censors naughty words to protect my virgin ears. Thanks, #$%@ers!) Katia wants to leave. Raul hugs her and hands her a little packet.

Damian gives Alejandra a drink, which I'm sure is spiked with something but it turns out not to be, and starts reading to her from the blog of a journalism student - her. She protests. He pulls a gun.

Katia and Raul abuse their noses in the ladies' room. Do things really go better with coke? Maybe they do, because I'm pretty sure she wouldn't be making out with him like that if she weren't as high as a kite.

Sara tells Ambar and Yago about the seizure at her house. All their stuff is at the MP (Monte de Piedad, like a government-run pawnshop I think?) but surely Yago will throw a couple of lawyers at the problem and clear things up.

Ale tells Dam that her schoolwork is just a cover, and she really wants to learn the tricks of the trade of trickery. Of course Dam doesn't believe her, and demands to know just how much she knows. She feigns a seizure, even gets blood to come out of her mouth. When he tries to shake her out of it (which is not what you do for a seizure), she pokes his eyes and runs out into the street. He follows, and gets hit by a car. And it's not like that time when we thought Melina got hit by a car. He's really hit! There's blood all over his face!

It doesn't take five minutes to get one's camcorder, but Lorenzo is delaying his trip to Los United so that he can watch the entire video first. (Nice effect, his face is reflected on the shiny screen so that we can see him react while we watch the video with him.) At first, he smiles and laughs as he sees the stuff that he recorded on purpose. But then he sees the argument between Abel and Teo. Now he knows that Abel killed his father, and he flips out. He takes the gun out of that chest and starts pacing around.

Abel comes up to see what's taking Lo so long. Lo shows him the video. "You shot my father! You've been making a fool of me! It's all a lie! You're not my protector, you're the devil!"

"I didn't want to kill him," Abel explains weakly. Lorenzo continues to shout. Teo comes up and points his gun at Lorenzo. Abel gets between them and makes Teo lower his gun. Abel approaches the boy and points the gun at his own forehead and urges the boy to shoot him.

Teo goes for the gun. He and Lorenzo struggle. We hear a shot, but all we see is Abel's horrified face.

Thank you for posting this thread, Julie! I plan on watching the episode tonight and I look forward to reading your take on it. Later! :)

I stayed up to watch Yago at midnight on Unimas, only to find out that our Unimas East version is standard definition, not high definition. To get the high definition version of the show on Dish, you have to watch the Unimas West broadcast and that is scheduled for 3 AM EDT!!!

I can't believe that Univision would want to do this for this very decent show.

For sure, I will be following this show on Hulu.

Univision doesn't like this show so yeah, I believe they would disrespect this show all around. At least its still on Hulu for now.

Anyone know when this starts in Mexico?

Julie- It's not supposed to start in Mexico until August, I think I remember reading. Hopefully Televisa will treat it with more respect than Univision has. Filming ended the other week.

I'm itching to see my recording later. Unfortunately, I have a meeting tonight that will delay my viewing until pretty late.

GloBlueFan- That's interesting about the HD. So the HD channel doesn't give the show in HD?

I didn't even think about HD. Definitely a happy side-effect of switching to Hulu, because I get only SD service on cable. I'm going to be examining everyone's faces for zits.

Erp, my previous comment probably deserves a small explanation. A few years ago, I stayed in a hotel where I was able to watch PEAM - the one where Colunga plays a secretary - on a big screen in HD. Blanca Soto's skin had looked perfect on my relatively small TV in standard definition, but in jumbo HD I could see PORES!! (And on some other people I saw bumps that could have been zits covered with makeup.)

I did not see zits on Blanca, but I was satisfied with the pores. It's a relief to know that these people are not totally perfect.

HD does no actor favors, that's for sure. And woe the actor who has any acne or other skin issues. They are using a soft filter lens on this show that is flattering even in HD.

Just as I had predicted: Lorenzo gets killed off.

HD shows every single pore, bump, wrinkle, line, discoloration, cold sore, etc.

HD is not your friend.

That's kinda funny, using an older technology (the filter lens) to blunt a newer one (high def).

Steve, I was just gonna yell at you for a spoiler, but LOL, that was the reason I posted the discussion header in the first place. Are you kidding? I thought Lorenzo would last a little longer. Who offed him?

(Damn, there I was complaining about the slowness of TVA, now I'm complaining that Yago is moving too fast!)

On Dish, for some reason, Unimas East is only SD, Unimas West is HD.

Aside from the crappy pixel resolution of Unimas East's SD broadcast, the picture doesn't display on the whole screen, there are black bars on the left and right side of the pictures.
With the HD broadcast, the picture occupies the whole screen and is displayed in full, zit-revealing HD detail.

One other quirk. On Univsion East, English captions on my Dish broadcast is displayed with CC2 caption service. On Unimas, English captions are displayed only on CC3.

We don't know if Lorenzo was killed. It could have been Teo. Both are grappling with each other and you hear a gunshot. The capitulo ends there, with both men still standing.

Oh, no! That doesn't sound good. I hope neither of them is hurt.

For those of us impatient to find out what happened last night, and don't mind getting spoilers before watching, Uni has put up a 4 minute video synopsis of last night's episode. Watch only if you don't mind seeing spoilers before you watch the episode: http://www.univision.com/novelas/yago/resumen-de-yago-capitulo-25-video

Thanks for the link to that video, Vivi. (Funny, the commercial is in English!) No joke, more stuff happens in a 4-minute Yago synopsis than in one ful hour of TVA. Not only am I stoked to watch this tonight, I'm sort of intimidated by all the stuff I'll have to cover in my recap!

Lots of sadness in this one. I was particularly troubled by how quickly Katia fell back into addiction. On the other hand Alexandra, our feisty little student reporter was fabulous in how she got out of a tight situation with Damian. And Karma caught up with him evidently.

Katia's been on the edge of addiction since the beginning of the show. Fidel & Yago need to pull her off the case and hustle her into rehab ASAP.

I haven't watched yet but thought I'd visit Hulu to make sure the new epi is up. Ay, the photo of Katia for this episode is disheartening. Back later, after I watch.

I agree Anon207...she's been surprisingly unstable for someone whose reliability is key to a successful vengeance scam. They should have hired Alexandra instead. She sure feigns epilepsy well.

Thanks to everyone for this thread and discussion. I intend to watch Yago until the bitter end because well because it is so good!! I don't mind potential spoilers because I won't be able to watch until much later on Hulu. Thank you thank you one and all!!

Glad you're hanging in with us, LoriLoo! I am tantalized by all these comments from people who have already seen it.

Me too, Julie!

Thanks for the thread! Hopefully my dvr worked for last night's episode. I'll be devastated if Lorenzo or Teo dies. Lorenzo has been through so much. I just want him to get away to the US and start a new life. Teo seems like a good guy and his loss, at this point, is just too much.

I thought Katia was a recovering alcoholic. Last night, she dived into some cocaine. I wonder if she is also a former cocaine addict?

Perhaps alcohol is her preferred drug, but in a pinch narcotics will do.

Vivi: Katia is also a drug addict ? OH NO.

By the time this show ends, she might end up with from a fatal overdose (see Daniela Montenegro of Pasion y Poder).

Julie: I'm assuming Lorenzo figured out it was Abel, who killed his father.

Steve- Didn't you watch the episode? You're the one who told us about Lorenzo.

Hello amigs,

The recap is coming... please be patient as I try to get Hulu running on the device that it's supposed to be running on! If I can get this to work right, it won't be a problem again.

Er... never mind, the device in question is good for "Vudu," whatever that is. Not Hulu. So I'll just be watching it on my laptop. (If I had enough room for two laptops, I could watch on the old one and type on the new one, but alas there's too much junk on the table for both. And although I am larger than I really ought to be, I don't quite have two laps just yet. So, just the one laptop, I'll have to watch and then type. Sorry for the delay...)

No worries, Julie. Looking forward to reading it whenever you get it done. I just finished watching. Wow. There are quite a few cliffhangers. Please, please, let Lorenzo make it.

I'm only about halfway through, and every scene is knocking my socks off. I've seen gran fins that weren't this eventful.

Done... hopefully next time I can get the recap done before the next episode starts!

Thank you bunches, Julie! The recap was excellent and it did this eventful episode justice. Your funny observations made me chuckle, especially the one about Ámbar's kitchen nightmares and the bit about the fake names.

You didn't miss much in the beginning. Yago was remembering Omar and Lucio's childhood. He says that Lucio grew up wanting to have a family like Omar's. Lucio sees a small wooden car in the workshop of Omar's father. Omar says he'll ask his dad to make Lucio a similar one but Lucio declines. He pretends that his (inexistent) dad brings him toy cars all the time. Obviously, the reality is another. On day, Omar gets a glimpse into what Lucio's life really is. Lucio is a child abandoned by his parents and mistreated by his grandmother. Yago narrates that Omar never mentioned witnessing that scene to his friend in order not to hurt his feelings.

Yago's revenge is in full motion now, though Lucio's stoopidity is helping it tremendously. I laughed out loud when Lucio told Sara that life is funny because the casino they robbed made them rich and the man who used to own that casino will now make them filthy rich. Lucio just can't seems to put 2 and 2 together. A wealthy handsome Spaniard shows up out of nowhere, infiltrates Lucio's business and family, and his arrival coincides with a strange chain of events. Blackmail, assault, kidnapping, marital infidelity and near bankruptcy knock on Lucio's door, one after the other. Now, all of a sudden, the owner of the casino that Lucio robbed 12 years ago, just happens to be friends with Yago and just happens to want to give Lucio the business opportunity of a lifetime, yet Lucio still doesn't smell a rat? Stoopid, I tell ya!

The woman who hit Dam with her car looked to me like that multi-millionaire lady Dam and Ale were trying to scam a couple of episodes ago (Sorry, I can't remember her name but she is played by veteran actress Isela Vega).

Needless to say, as a unapologetic Abel fan, I felt really sorry that he and Lorenzo weren't allowed to start a new life together in the United States. These two tragic characters were loners who suffered a lot of trauma in their past and experienced much resentment and mistrust in their present. They had finally found solace in each other and managed to form a happy family. I know it was all based on a lie, but the burden of that lie, and the guilt that accompanies it, fell squarely on Abel's shoulders. He would've had to carry it all his life and be reminded of it daily, every time Lorenzo mentioned his father or showed gratitude towards Abel. Raising Lorenzo and caring for him would've been the best way for Abel to atone for his sins. Come to think of it, Lorenzo gained nothing by knowing the truth. Only more heartache (and possible death). Lorenzo's situation reminds me of a quote by one of my favorite TN villanas, the very wise Teresa Alarcón, from EHDLS: “The truth is not what you think it is.(...) The truth does not set you free. The truth is brutal, awful. Nothing survives it. Keep looking, you’ll realize this.” (“La verdad no es lo que crees.(...) La verdad no te hace libre. La verdad es brutal, horrenda. Nada la sobrevive. Sigue buscando, te vas a dar cuenta.”)

Thanks again, Julie! I'll post the summary of Tuesday's episode some time between 5 pm and 8 pm EDT, depending on when I get the chance to watch it. (It's 8 am my time and the episode is still not available)

Through hoops you jump Julie and thank you for it.

"Do things really go better with coke?"

Best character in the show is Alejandra. I want a spin off with her as the star.

Nandicta, couldn't say it better. Lucio is Stoopid but Omar is a fool.

Thanks for those extra details, Nandicta. I think that character's name was Sylvia, but I didn't look at the driver at all. If that was her, then the police should give her a medal.

Thanks also for clarifying exactly what Lucio said to Sara after signing the deal with Fidel. Sometimes I don't get a translation quite right because I can't believe it means what I think it means. This was one of those times. I didn't think Lucio would be that dumb. Fidel played him like a banjo with some standard textbook sales tactics that Lucio should be hip to since he's married to a manipulator like Sara.

I do feel badly for Abel, however that little shootout turned out, because he hat put himself in harm's way to protect Lorenzo from Teo. Of course Teo wasn't really going to shoot Yago's star witness, but Abel didn't know that. Even if Lorenzo and Teo are both unharmed, I think this scare will have taken ten years off of Abel's life. And of course this whole incident has broken his heart yet again.

Sara's BS about feeling that she doesn't deserve to be happy just had me rolling my eyes. Talk is cheap, chickie, and you're full of it.

Katia was feeling like a million bucks last night in the washroom with Raul. She's going to feel like, what's the opposite of a million bucks? Lucio? She's gonna feel like Lucio afterwards. She'll need hot bleach and a wire brush to scrub the shame off of her. She'll also need some damn good coffee, or perhaps Raul will already have a hair of the dog ready for her.

It was interesting watching Sara's face as she told Ambar about the repo. If I didn't know better, I would swear that Sara was really upset and mystified by the whole thing. She once told Yago that Ambar and Omar were the only two people she's loved in her entire life besides Mati, but she never had the slightest difficulty lying to their faces.

Thanks so much, Julie! The recap was superb.

Indeed that was Dona Silvia behind the wheel of the car. This will be interesting.

Lucio is so easy to read and to play. But he's also arrogant, which makes it all the easier to manipulate him. He strolled right into that trap. Up until he mentioned the name, Sara didn't know Fidel was the friend Yago had brought in. Her ears definitely perked up, and she was giving Yago some hard looks while she was speaking to him and Ambar. I think she suspects that Fidel, the ex owner of the casino she robbed, being involved is not a coincidence. At the very least, she'll be questioning Yago once they're alone.

Ale did such a good job faking a seizure, I even got worried for a second.

Raul choreographed that whole scene with Katia's mother, down to knocking over that tray to cause a scene and get her mother's attention. And from the AA meetings, he knows her family is her biggest trigger. Once she's sober, I hope she comes to her senses quickly. And at least realizes that being around this guy isn't good for her. I have a feeling he plans on keeping her high and drunk until he gets good intel out of her.

It's a testament to how this tn is written that the audience has started to root for a truth to NOT come out, and for Lorenzo to not find out that Abel killed his father. It was just so sad all around and heartbreaking. Will we ever see Lorenzo smile again (if he's still alive)?

Nandicta- Thanks for reminding us of some of Teresa Viuda de Alarcon's pithy life truths. Very appropriate for this tn.

Wonderful wonderful recap!!

This show is so freaking amazing next to TVA!

Nandicta, I'm with you about Abel and Lorenzo. They need each other though it is all based on a horrific lie. I didn't think Teo needed to jump in. Lorenzo had lowered the gun. If either dies I will be so upset. But if Lorenzo lives where does he go from here? Feels like a lost situation.

I loved it when Sara was surprised it was Fidel. And when she was telling Yago about all of her different faces I kept thinking I hope Yago remembers all of this.

Poor Ambar. I hate what Yago is doing to her. I give Abel credit for holding his tongue and not ratting out Sara and Yago. I know he was probably vomiting inside while Ambar went on and on about Yago.

Lucio is so stupid. So do we know yet if Fidel owned the hotel when they robbed it? It's looking more and more that way.

Katia, Katia....she seems more and more vulnerable as the show goes on. I hate watching her be played by this Raul. I thought that she was smarter than this.

Question regarding the seizure of the house. I thought they had already given Fidel the deed to the house in order to get the money to save Matias. Didn't Lucio sign over his house and casino? Also, there is no mention that the casino has reopened so where is Lucio getting the money to buy big tv's? They don't seem to be worrying about income at all. I know they have other properties but I didn't think they were money making. I guess they could be renting out apartments to tourists but that hardly provides the income to keep living their lavish lifestyle.

Thanks, Julie. You started off with a bang -- When Yago characters show up for an episode, they mean business! -- and just kept going. Great recap.

Poor Lorenzo. He needs a good father figure so badly. Who will he turn to now? I wish the nun could get back in his life. I'm assuming both Lorenzo and Teo are still alive.

I could feel Abel's disgust for Sara and Yago betraying his sweet Ambar. I'm not feeling guilt from Yago though for using Ambar. Julie, agree about Sara's BS that she doesn't deserve to be happy. If she thought that, she would've never moved in on her sister's almost boyfriend.

Good going by Ale. But will she finally tell Bruno what she's up to?

Yes, that was Fidel's casino that they robbed. What I'm still not clear on is whether they now own that casino or a different one.

The seizure included the contents of the house (though they were also being evicted). I think Lucio is being accused of fraud because he put his house up as collateral on the deal when he doesn't actually hold the title to it, but I'm not sure of the exact details.

I don't know where Lucio got the money for the big TV, but I guess a credit card would have covered it. They probably have a lot of good credit, and it takes a while to max everything out and be unable to make minimum payments and run out your 120-day notice and so forth. You can really damage yourself with credit cards and Lucio does not have the temperament to handle credit wisely.

I just would have thought they would be under an immense financial burden that would keep them from spending, Sara with all of her expensive lingerie for Yago, Lucio with his big tv...Maybe Ramiro form TVA is their accountant.

Carvivlie- There is a hotel attached to the casino, that is still up and running (although probably has less reservations now that the casino is closed. I think Sara and Lucio are having rich people's money troubles. Not enough cash on hand to get $5 million quickly (although they have the assets), but plenty to buy big tvs, pretty clothes, and riding lessons. At least, up until now...

So now we know how Alejandra got Sylvia to let her off the hook. They must have planned this together. (Dam should have been suspicious when the woman didn't press charges.)

Ale had a blood capsule in her mouth. Sylvia was waiting in her car down the street. It was a risky plan, but wowie, what a payoff. I wonder if this is the harshest payback Dam's ever faced for his crimes.

Wow Julie that is a complicated and dangerous plan! Was Sylvia the type to want her revenge in blood? I missed those scenes between her, Ale and Dam. I guess it is too much to be coincidence.

There were no scenes between Sylvia, Ale and Dam except for the one where he introduced them. That's why pieces seemed to be missing. I realized in the shower this morning that this was the closure on that.

Yes, it's pretty cold-blooded of Sylvia. I don't know if Ale knew exactly what Sylvia was going to do, but I suppose we'll find out soon. Perhaps Ale thought that Sylvia would be waiting in the car to take her to the police station where they'd both denounce Dam, or something innocuous like that. But Sylvia's presence must have been planned.

Likewise Ale might have brought the blood capsule as a precaution, not knowing for sure that she'd need it. But certainly she was prepared.

Unfortunately, the downside to being a prizewinning journalism student is that you can't keep a low profile when your face is plastered all over campus!

Unfortunately I deleted the show after watching it last night. I didn't realize it was Sylvia in the car. I wish I could go back and watch the scene so I can rewatch her reaction to hitting him.

Julie: My thoughts exactly on Fidel's casino being robbed that fateful night: NOW WE KNOW as the narrator says...

Katia still on her druggie binge ? Rehab needs to be in order fast.

Rehab should've been in order the moment Yago found out Katia fell off the wagon & brought Abel up to the room and was almost caught.

Julie-Thanks for the detail-packed and entertaining recap.

You think that Ale had a blood capsule hidden in her mouth? How would she know in advance that she would need something like that? As far as she knew, Damian didn't know her true identity.

And, are you sure that the woman who hit Damian with the car was Sylvia? I saw the white hair and it was so brief that I couldn't really determine the rest of the driver's face. I'll have to check this on Hulu tonight. I assume that the Tuesday show will be on Hulu then. (When are the episodes made available on Hulu, midnight of the next day? And, since Yago is shown at midnight and 3 AM EDT, is it 24 hours from midnight?)

Thank you Julie. The whole Fidel history is a mystery still.
We found out that he's the previous owner of the casino that Lucio and Sara stole. Fidel was in jail before Omar got there, I'm guessing he was framed and had the casino stolen right out from under him. What we don't know is how Camilo figures into this. Was Camilo behind the stealing of the casino by hiring Damian, who hired his daughter and Lucio to do the dirty work? That's my guess.

I would be surprised if Sylia and Ale were working together on killing Damian, but who knows with this story. But I think the timing would be too hard to nail down to pull it off on purpose.

I've been watching this on hulu from the start. When it started at 10:00, it would be posted for viewing at 8:00am the next morning. Not sure about the new time and when it appears on Hulu, but it's not there as of 10:45am pst.

Sylvia is definitely the person who crashed into Damian. She seemed shocked, so I don't think this was part of her plan. But it is quite a coincidence that she was there, so who knows.

Goblue, I think she had the capsule in her mouth because she had reason to believe she was walking into a trap. She knew Damian new name (Oscar Bravo, seriously?) was another false one, he was never going to level with her, and she must have known that he'd want to get even with her for blowing the deal with Sylvia. No way was he gonna let that go.

I didn't get a look at the driver at all, so I'm accepting other people's observation that the driver was Sylvia. She's definitely got a motive. And let's keep in mind that when she hit Damian, he was chasing Ale. She may very well have saved Ale's life.

I don't know what time Hulu makes episodes available. I know the Monday night episode was available by 9 pm last night. Hopefully it was available even earlier than that, but I can't confirm any earlier. And actually I had a little trouble getting to it. There was one way to access episodes that only went up to #24. But the side-scrolling list went to #25.

Cathyx, I think it's safe to assume that Camilo was behind the casino heist because it was his guy, Chino, who approached Damian about the job. And it was probably Camilo who framed Fidel, if Fidel was framed. (I'm thinking Fidel probably had plenty of crimes under his belt already.)

Julie is right. In the flashback Damian has about El Chino, Chino says his boss (Camilo) is impressed with Damian and wants him for a job-- the casino heist.

Sylvia looked shocked when she hit Damian, so I don't think it was on purpose. But she might have been following Damian and/or Ale, or she might have previously worked out with Ale that she would be her getaway driver if things went south with Damian. We just don't know at this point. We know she and Ale must have come to some sort of agreement or understanding for her to have let her go and not called the cops.

Vivi: The Conspiracy continues to deepen further & we could see higher levels of the Mexican government involved in the conspiracy against Omar.

Anon207: I noticed that Katia's drug binge buddy appears to be involved with Camilo or sorts considering he took her cell phone.

Julie: Ale still in danger. This girl just doesn't get it & keeps playing with fire!

Hulu is still showing only 25 episodes. What the dilly?!

They still haven't posted the latest episode. Maybe they will start being a full day behind now that they switched the air time of the show.

I just checked Hulu. It's up now.

Ambar is at the doctor's office. It looks like she tore off a section from a crystal chandelier and decided to wear it as a necklace

Love your images Julie. A rip-snortin' recap from start to finish...like the episode. Thanks.

Julie,

Thanks for such a nifty recap.

"Oh, come on. And I'm Juliet Sierra!"

Very funny. I cracked up with their little honesty session.

Wow, I'm so disappointed in Katia. I can understand why her family is shunning her and why even her mother seems to have given up on her. An alcohol problem is one thing but the way she pounced on that cocaine suggests that she has a long history of dabbling in mind altering substances. Yago does not seem to be very good at judging character.

I thought it was very amusing when he complained to Fidel about how things have turned out and Fidel pointed out that the results were exactly those Yago was looking for. A bit like The Monkey's Paw.

And the scuffle between Lorenzo and Teo over the gun was very similar to the one Abel had with that drunk guy which resulted in the death of a youngster.
