Sueño de amor #94 Wed. 7/27/16 " A Hot Time in the Old RV Tonight or Don't Go Knocking . . . "

So, Pato and Luca have taken off in the big big RV but alas!!!! there is none of the charm of Lucy and Desi in the long long trailer. . . Well, I better get back on track!

BTW the RV has "Te amo" (I love you) written on it in glow in the dark paint. . .and Pato notices it as they leave it to experience their first and only stop at a park where a multi course formal goutmet meal has been set up, prepared and served to the young lovers. Luca asks if Pato wants some champagne. Pato only wants one glass because she does not want it to be like the telenovelas where the girl loves to drink, gets drunk, falls asleep and wake up having made love. She is legal and responsible. The server pours the champagne. Luca tells her how beautiful she is. She herself is just a ball of nerves. Luca tells her there is nothing to be nervous about because it is just the two of them. He tells her how marvelous she is but she is still stuck on having no confidence because she has no sexual experience. He tries to build up her confidence telling her how smart, funny and sexy she is. Sexy? How would he know? she asks. What about their kisses? he asks. They drive him wild. (the more they discuss it the less romantic it gets, UGH!) He loves her; she fascinates him. He is her superhero and he is the sun of her life. They declare their love to each other and kiss. They are serenaded by their own personal love theme "Para estar contigo" by Pau and Davo LIVE! Pato finds it all magical. They watch the chef prepare some sort of flambé for dessert. Pato says it is very (candente) red hot! (fogoso) fiery! They both add (quemador) burning! Luca goes on with (abrasador) blazing! and (hirviente) boiling! Since all of these words could be used to describe their PASSION, Pato and Luca end up kissing. They share dessert, dance and kiss some more.

At the Gallo's, Anastasia, Erasmo, Salma and Kiko are visiting after they have all witnessed Kiko doing his physical therapy and sharing a kiss with Salma: his reward for working so hard. Salma asks to hold Luquita. Salma tells Anastasia she is 14 and pregnant. She tells Anastsia she is going to have the baby and give it up for adoption. Anastasia asks who the father is. Salma says it is Adrián de la Colina. Anastasia tells her their babies are relatives. She just doesn't know what kind of relatives because the father could be Luca or Ernesto. Naïve Estrella pipes up with how/why wouldn't she know who the father is. Erasmo jumps in and says it is just a long story to shut Estrella up. They discuss how Anastasia's baby Luquita, for example, could be Salma's baby's uncle if Ernesto were the father. (Yikes!)

At the Gallo's everyone has stayed on for supper. Estrella is wondering how (when Anastasia is used to finer food like caviar and pato (duck)--Anastasia interrupts to tell her pato/Pato is not a good choice to use--Estrella tells her she was referring to the food and only joking) she would like the food they are eating. Kiko thinks it is great that Anastasia liked the tlacoyos (stuffed corn meal pockets.) Estrella teases Anastasia saying she is a fresa (stuck up rich girl) just like Salma who takes exception to that comment, of course. They all tease each other. Anastasia suggests they all call each other "tú". Erasmo is up for that. Salma tells them all about how Ricardo put her in contact with the people who will be adopting her baby: Mireya and Andrés. They even came to her last ultrasound. Flashback: At the ultrasound, Mireya is going to get all of the official paper work under way and let them all know about the process. Next week they will be able to tell if it is a boy or a girl. The doctor is happy Salma's pain has disappeared. Salma asks Mireya if she could see the baby once in a while. Mireya says of course. Back to the present, Anastasia notices that Salma doesn't look too sure about it all. Salma says that although she knows Mireya and Andrés are good people, she does not know if she wants to give them her child.

Back at the RV of love, Luca is guiding Pato over to the door which has been open since they arrived. He has told her to close her eyes evidently so she will be surprised. When they get inside, Pato opens her eyes. Luca has decorated the RV with hearts and photos of the two of them. It looks like Valentine's Day decorations hanging from the ceiling. Attached and behind the photos are cards telling them something to do. Luca is up first and has to tell a joke. Luca starts to tell her a story about once upon a time there was a Pato (duck) moving through the water. Another duck comes along and asks where are you going? The first duck answers "Pa' (shortened form of para) todos lados. "PA'TO"dos lados. (Everywhere) Ha! Ha! They laugh. Pato gets a card that tells her to tell a truth. Her truth is that her heart is beating so fast she can feel it as she steps into the bedroom. Luca says now it is both of them. Following the commands on two more cards over the bed Pato tells Luca to take off his shirt and he tells her to take off her blouse. Smooching time. He loves all of her forever, every centimeter of her bod, her eyes, her scent, her hands. She loves all of him, the way he is, his smile, his honesty, his kindness, his eyes, how he looks at her. The next thing you know they are smooching it up in bed.

Back at the Gallo residence, Anastasia and the baby are saying good bye to Erasmo. He helped her get the car seat secured in the car. He wants to know if she wants him to see her home. What? She asks him how he would get back then. She liked his siblings a lot. He says they are okay by him. She is envious because she never had any brothers or sisters. Erasmo says that ever since his parents died, he and Kiko got really very close. She sees it as a very admirable thing that he has taken care of his siblings. He sees it as admirable that she admitted that her mother was a maid. Ever since she was a little girl she dreamed of living the "good life." Erasmo asks if don't we all dream about living the "good life." She knows she made a lot of mistakes in pursuing that dream. She now thinks we should dream about what will make us happy. We all dream about finding love she tells him. They kiss.

Later, Pato and Luca are fast asleep in the RV while at the Guerrero house, Esperanza is ragging on to Ernesto about how inconsiderate Pato and Luca are. Look at what time it is and they don't know where Pato and Luca are. What would it cost them to just let them know that they are okay?

At Cristina's, Ricardo is carrying a sleeping Abril to her bed. Ricardo brings up the point that it would be more "practical" if the five of them just lived together so there would not be so much coming and going and having to take this one here or there. Cristina wants to know exactly what he is proposing.

Back at Esperanza's, she is asking Ernesto why he is so pensive. He is thinking about something more convincing to keep Ricardo believing that Esperanza is in love with him Ernesto and not in love with Ricardo.

Pato wakes up smiling first, then Luca. Nobody knows the time, seems nobody cares. Pato has a moment of guilt knowing she should have called Esperanza earlier in the evening.

In order to really make sure that Ricardo believes that Esperanza no longer loves him and to get him to stay with Cristina, Ernesto has the bright idea that he and Esperanza should get married. It is just an idea, she does not have to make up her mind now; just something to think about. The phone rings. It is Pato calling Esperanza to apologize for not calling earlier. Esperanza asks if she and Luca are okay. Pato trips over her own tongue and says they are fine, they just were sleeping . (Uh, oh!) Esperanza repeats out loud that they just were sleeping! Ernesto just looks away. Pato starts in about going out to dinner, trying to make excuses but Esperanza is in no mood to listen to her crappola. She just wants Pato home ASAP. Better to talk at home. Ernesto just chuckles. Esperanza asks why he would be laughing? Because he loves her: being her bald and nagging self.

Back at Cristina's, Ricardo is listing all the money they would save on bills by living together. Cristina knows all of the advantages but she wants to know exactly what his proposal is. He loves her without a doubt and knows they would be very happy living together but he does not want to rush things or pressure her. She is sure that they would be very happy together but everything needs to happen in its time. They decide to be novios again. Cristina warns Ricardo that if he ever leaves her, she will go and pull him back by his ears. He wants to feel like this for the rest of his life. Smooching time.

Pato has arrived home and is getting a lecture from Esperanza on her lack of consideration. Pato admits she did not say anything and avoided telling her the truth because she was embarrassed. Esperanza makes it clear that she respects Pato's privacy but please just let her know where she is and when she will be back. Pato cannot forget that she Esperanza exists and worries about her. Pato apologizes and asks Esperanza to forgive her. She loves Esperanza. Esperanza hopes she has learned her lesson. Esperanza tells Pato about Ernesto's marriage proposal.

Luca gets in at 3:00 a.m. all happy and snappy and Adrián is still up icing his eye and trying to catch up on school work. Luca tells him what a wonderful evening he had with the surprise he prepared for Pato. Adrián would love to prepare a surprise for Estrella. Luca says he will gladly help and set something up for him. Adrián wants a special surprise for Estrella for tomorrow if possible. Looks like that is fine by Luca.

Pato and Ernesto talk. She acknowledges that her mother's illness must be hard on him. It has been but all he cares about is that Esperanza is cured. They discuss the proposal. Pato wants to know if he is serious. Yes, he would marry Esperanza tomorrow.

Suddenly Esperanza is dying in her bed telling Ricardo she has always loved him, he is the love of her life but he needs to be happy with Cristins. She dies.Fortunately for Ricardo, it is only a nightmare but he has awakened his children screaming "¡No te mueras, Esperanza!" (Don't die, Esperanza!). Rodrigo and Selena jump in his bed to comfort themselves and him.

The next thing you know it is morning and Esperanza is telling herself she has to get up and keep fighting. She prays to The Virgen de la Paz to give her strength.

At Cristina's, she is waking Abril up with a story of a princess that woke up every morning with the song of the nightingale. It sounds like Cristina can whistle like the clearly dubbed nightingale. Abril does not remember how she got in her bed last night. It was Rey (King) Alegría who carried her in. Breakfast time but Abril wants more of the story. Cristina carries her off to breakfast horsey back style.

At Napoleón's, he and Silvana are eating instant noodles for breakfast. She burned her mouth. Nobody eats what they are eating for breakfast. Silvana's new plan is to sell Salma's baby through Napoleón. Salma doesn't want the baby anyway. He has a buyer but he needs absolute discretion on her part. Fine by her. He will get 40% and she will get 60%. The buyer will pay the 100% when the baby is turned over. Silvana is not happy because that means six more months in the poor house for them.

At Viviana's, Adrián is all revved up at breakfast about planning a real special evening for Estrella with a surprise! He asks Mario for permission because he is the man of the house. Mario has to mention that it is not his house. Viviana tells him that that is a topic better not discussed, right? Mario agrees. Adrián wants something real elegant and special. Adrián wants to give Estrella something really special. Salma wants to know what. Adrián is not saying because it is a surprise. Viviana has two conditions: First: Adrián tells them what the surprise is. Second: she and Mario will take them to where they are going.

At the Gallo's, the topic at breakfast is Adrián wanting to take Estrella out in the evening but she does not know the plan yet. She needs Erasmo's permission. Kiko says he should let them enjoy their love. Erasmo calls Kiko "Cupid". Kiko says Cupid already shot Erasmo with an Anastasia arrow. Erasmo admits they did kiss. Right on cue Adrián texts Estrella that Viviana and Mario are going to be taking them on their outing. Erasmo gives his permission.

Esperanza and Pablo have arrived at school. Esperanza wants to know what Pablo thinks about Ernesto's marriage proposal. Ricardo and Cristina pass on by. Esperanza looks sadly after them.

Tracy and Dionisio are still together drinking tea at her place. She wants live streaming video of the cage. He understands she wants to monitor the gorilla. She just needs to be able to see her gorilla. She does not want anybody to know where it is. Her wishes are his commands. They start kissing again.

Esperanza's class: a discussion about what Don Quixote was saying to Dulcinea del Toboso in a certain quote from "Don Quixote de La Mancha". According to Kiko, he was asking her to show him the road, that is the way to go ahead, continue on. Esperanza agrees that this is what love is like. It motivates us, it makes us better people. She is interrupted by a knock at the door. Napoleón appears at the classroom door with balloons and an invitation from Adrián to Estrella to have dinner with him tonight: he is inviting a "star" to dine with him very close to the moon. Yes, she accepts the invitation. Later at home, Luca is getting Adrián ready for his date and giving him tips like don't stop being a gentleman, and to remember all of the small touches like holding the door, pulling out her chair, letting her order, etc. At Pato's house, Estrella is just as excited with legs that feel as if they belong to a marionette. Pato is there to help her get ready. Estrella has a super short dress and forgot to bring her depilatory along. No problem! Pato gives her one of the those Venus disposable razors: once over the legs will make them super soft. Demo time!!!

It is evening and Ricardo is at Cristina's. She is working and he is watching. He loves seeing her work and talk. He loves the principal, friend, companion, lover that she is. Is it recess time? he asks. The bell just rang! It is smooching time. Ricardo then gives Cristina a rose. It is not dinner time, but smooching time again.

At Esperanza's, Viviana, Mario and Adrián have come to pick up Estrella. Viviana is shocked to see Esperanza without hair. She gives her all of her support. Adrián is doing all sorts of breathing exercises trying to alleviate his stress. Estrella comes out and looks like a radiant star to Adrián. Viviana calls Estrella "Cometa" "precious."
Adrián wants to know if Estrella will go to the end of the universe with him. Yes, she will. Esperanza, Viviana and Pato all sigh in unison because they are just so darn cute!

Anastasia has stopped by to see Ernesto. He thinks she is there for more money. Has she found out the results from the latest paternity test? No. She is there for nothing that he was expecting: she does not want any more money from him. She will no longer be blackmailing him and is giving him the photos of Tracy.

At Esperanza's, she is talking with Pato. It seems that Esperanza thinks that marrying Ernesto would solve a few things for her. Would she really marry Ernesto? Pato asks. Esperanza answers yes.

Comments:
The ONLY question that Esperanza should have had for Pato after she found out Pato was out having sex was: ¿te cuidaste? Did you use birth control? Here is hoping that Luca learned his lesson after his Anastasia/Luquita experience. Nothing romantic about getting pregnant in these situations.

Then, we have yet another disgusting plot line that has appeared with Silvana wanting to sell her grandchild. Just what we needed in addition to Tracy and her gorilla cage.

Ricardo's nightmare was creepy. For a minute, I thought maybe they decided to finish this whole thing off early besides moving it into mid afternoon oblivion by just cutting to " an" "any" ending at all. Sure hope we are not going there after surgery, chemo therapy, live weevil eating and an infinite amount of prayers to La Virgen de la Paz.

More later.

Thanks Jarifa. It was a lotta fun!

I just wanna know a few things:

What was the lesson for Pato? I didn't get it. She had sex and kept it secret only to spill the beans and get her mapa upset, who later says, I am glad you learned a lesson. What lesson?

Also, I was there when they did what appears in the pictures and I didnt see a photographer around them. Who took them? They're not selfies, and I want to know who took them.

It was funny when Pato said, after making Estrella over that her future could in the image design and Esperanza said, more like LIE DESIGN!! Like mother like daughter...

Luca's joke was not as funny as Florinda Meza's "El pato y el tulipán"

Or Polo Polo's joke of the husband who has forgotten if his wife has HIV or alzheimer. The doctor recommends him to take her deep in the woods and leave her there, if she comes back, don't sleep with her.

Oh, and Adrián saying about the fetus, "It's impressive how good it looks" (considering that I have only one eye).

Did Ernesto stayed over esperanza up to 3am in the morning?

Love doesn't take the best out of people, only makes them lie better, right Espy/Pato?

Jarifa, I couldn't wait to read your recap. Sensational as always. Extraordinarily and marvelously detailed.

"So, Pato and Luca have taken off in the big big RV but alas!!!! there is none of the charm of Lucy and Desi in the long long trailer" was my hands down favorite. What a great line. "Luca gets in at 3:00 a.m. all happy and snappy" and "it sounds like Cristina can whistle like the clearly dubbed nightingale" were among many other favorites.

"Back to the present, Anastasia notices that Salma doesn't look too sure about it all". No, she doesn't. I picked up on that the other day - it was clear Salma is seriously contemplating whether adoption is the best course of action. I believe that is for and her alone to decide. The family has been pushing adoption since day 1 and that "meet the parents" sequence the other day was upsetting. She has a lot to process. Give her some time to think this out. It may well be the most important decision she ever makes.

I think Ernesto realizes he may be advancing in the battle to win Espe's appreciation (love is still not on the horizon) but has lost the war. It is clear Espe loves Ricardo. She knows it. He knows it and Ricardo sure as heck knows it (admitting it is something different all together)...I'm not surprised she is considering Ernesto's proposal. Sadly, the real reason is simply to try and impress on Ricardo (for the hundredth time), she doesn't love him.

At least Erasmo and Anastasia's relationship seems to be progressing naturally meaning Eraasmo is not starry eyed, puppy tail wagging. Yet...

"Cristina warns Ricardo that if he ever leaves her, she will go and pull him back by his ears. He wants to feel like this for the rest of his life. Smooching time". I understand some of us want these two together and I totally respect everyone's opinion. But as Carlos often says, opinions vary. Me? Blech. Sorry, just being honest.

"Esperanza asks why he would be laughing? Because he loves her: being her bald and nagging self". Oh Ernesto. You had so much potential - what a talented team of writers could have done with your character...

Jarifa, this was wonderful. Thank you so much!

Diana

Pablo, thanks for the additional humor esp the Polo Polo joke. ! I liked "LIE DESIGN". It sure describes that duo.

Diana, when I wrote the "Long Long Trailer" remark I was hoping that someone would remember it and that I was not writing it only for myself. You are so right about Erasmo and Anastasia's relationship developing at a normal pace. We usually don't see that it takes time to get to know somebody. I hope that they keep it that way. Then, Ernesto so deeply flawed but still so attractive . . . : (

Ahhh, there is the dilemma Jarifa.

"so deeply flawed but still so attractive".

I hate to admit it, but I would have totally dismissed the character if not for the hawtness of the character. I have been a fan since La Malquerida...so, he is still on my radar

Shallow? Yup. But I offer no apologies :)

I'm a big Lucy fan - she and Desi sparked and sparkled. Comedy magic.

Diana

As we've already seen in previous TN's, there has been examples of leading protagonists getting killed off before.

Steve, it will be interesting to see if they let Esperanza die or have her survive due to a miracle from La Virgen de la Paz. When they brought on Marjorie de Souza, Osorio said he wasn't getting rid of Betty Monroe's Esperanza but that was then and this is now so, who knows?

I forgot to mention that I also saw "The long long trailer".

I bought the VHS tape around 20 years ago, but probably didn't make the connection because in the movie that RV is the third co protagonist, while here is just used so the "decent" couple doesnt have sex in either of them's house or a hotel. What would people think, right? This is Pato's "first time" (today, LOL) and has to be something pure and chaste, jajaja! Hypocrites!

I hope I don't insult anyone by saying I'm not a camper and frankly not too big a fan of RVs either. That might stem from the fact our neighbors kept their huge monstrosity in their driveway (right outside our bedroom window) for years, obstructing our view...

That said, I do not see anything romantic or enticing about that venue.

Steve, I'm thinking Esperanza has to survive. I understand that many who are ill in real life suffer tremendously and ultimately succumb. But, to have Esperanza do so here (due to the whim of a writer's pen) just seems incredibly wrong.

Diana

Yes, Pablo, the long long trailer was like a third protagonist. It sure seemed to have a mind of its own at times.

Diana, camping is not my thing either . I need air conditioning and a regular bathroom! Batting bugs and sleeping on the ground are not my preferred activities. The only thing I can think of is with the RV is maybe he wanted to avoid the whole tacky "no tell hotel/motel" no matter how expensive stigma. . . like they didn't have to sign in at the desk or risk running into somebody they knew in the lobby. This seemed more private to me. Too bad he didn't have his own place. That would have solved the whole thing.

QTH.......an RV? At least Ricardo would spring for a classy hotel

Emeraldrose, but it had "Te amo" written on it in glow in the dark paint ! LOL

Hello amigowz! Today's recap is up for you to enjoy it like it was the usual episode in this time slot. Enjoy!

That is right Jarifa, that did make it really special!! I can't wait for the next "romantic" moment, I recall a tent in the park for Erasmo. Boy have I led a boring love life. Lol
