Un Camino Hacia el Destino-Week 26 (Aug 15, 2016) 2d Half

Luis has Pedrito in his clutches and is now going after Fernanda. He’s planning to travel under false passports with the baby’s name changed to Luis and his daughter as Luisa.  (Is there an egotist in the house?) Fernanda is not going to go willingly, just because he’s her bio-dad.

The only way she'd ever go with him will be for Luis to threaten her with never seeing her son again. (It’s not speculation, it’s a Sherlockian deduction—thanks, David.) What an agonizing decision for a young mother to make—leave the whole family she’s grown so close to and supports her, the love of her life, a bright future (in charitable works, not artistic excellence) in order to be reunited with her son and have to live with someone she's hated (although she was making inroads in her own mind to forgive him—but not necessarily love him) in a country and culture far away from where she belongs. Ay de mi. What a dilemma for us to have to watch in the last week of our travels on the Camino as it brings us nearer the Boda at the End of the Road.

Un Camino Aug 19 Part One

Amelia and Pedro are together in her office and there is something about the computer that isn't right. Amelia tells Pedro there is something she wants to show him. She says that Luis sold everything and has hidden the money

Amelia says it seems like they are chasing a ghost. She says that he may have done this to make good his escape. Pedro complains that they don't have proof of anything. They're not sure who they are dealing with, and Pedro wonders what they want with Pedrito. Amelia tells him that they might use him to get more money, but she also says that Luis always wanted to have descendants. Pedro correctly surmises that if this is the case then Fer is in danger too.

And sure enough, the next scene has Fe walking through a copse of trees and Luis pops out in her path. She tries to run, but he begs her not to, and she falls to the ground. He tries to be friendly with her, but she is terrified of him and does a kind of backward crab crawl away from him.

Alarmed, Pedro calls the shack and asks for Fer, but is told she isn't there. Maribel suggests that maybe she doesn't have a signal on her cell phone, but Pedro tells her to have Fer call them. They are very worried.

Out in the trees, Fer can't believe her eyes. It finally dawns on her that Luis really is alive, and that he is the one who took the baby - it wasn't a nightmare after all. Luis assures her that Pedrito is ok, and Luis would never harm him. He wants the three of them to be a family and be happy together.

At Marissa's estate, Paco is hiding behind some structure bawling his eyes out, when Clarita finds him and asks him what he's doing. Paco says he is afraid for Pedrito because he doesn't have his big brother with hem to protect him. She tries to calm the boy by saying Carlos and Fer will find him. Paco wishes they would have taken him. Clarita says nobody is taking anybody.

Luis is trying to calm Fer down. She is crying and demanding he return her son. Luis says the boy cried so much at first that he was a little worried, which sets Fer off again.

Camila comes into Hernan's office and catches him sleeping in his office chair. Cam wants to know why he's sleeping here - why doesn't he get back with Mariana. She's been the love of his life since his first wife died. That's true, he says, but living with her is like living with the devil.

Fer is still begging Luis for her son when Rosaria comes outside looking for Fer, and Luis vanishes like the ghost we wish he was. Rosaria takes Fer to the shack where she tells Carlos, Amelia and Pedro that Luis is alive and has Pedrito.

Cam is at the hacienda and tells Mariana they need to become friends, which gives Mariana a good laugh. Why would she want to be friends with a nut job like Cam? Because, Cam explains, there are more people involved than just you and me.

Carlos and Fer are at Cop Central trying to get the top cop to believe that Luis is alive and he's not buying it. Carlos listens of this BS for a while, then explodes and tells the cop to get searching for his son.

Cam is begging Mariana to change and get Hernan back. She explodes; should I be a loser like Amelia, a fool like Fer or a bipolar like you?

David

Un Camino Aug 19 Part Two

Back at the hacienda, Cam is cleaning up the filthy kitchen when in walks Mariana, who wants to know what she's doing. She's just cleaning up a little; nobody can live like this. Don't start, Mariana warns her. Well, at least Cam has a talent for SOMETHING. Yes, she learned on the street to clean for her meals. Mariana wonders if the only way to learn stuff is through pain. Cam has also cooked a pot of something for Mariana to eat. When Cam leaves, Mariana actually seems guardedly appreciative.

Pedro is in the shack looking for Fer, but she's nowhere to be found; Pedro looks worried. Just outside, Fer is meeting up with that fleet-footed guy Luis. He wants to know if she's ready to go with him, but she only wants Pedrito. That's not going to happen, She needs to go with him and prove she's loyal by acting like an unappreciative ass to her loved ones. Oh, and she has to love him. She looks at him like she wishes he would drown in his own vomit, but agrees to do it. First Luis rearranges her hair in a way that suits him better. After she leaves her family he will take to "Luisito." Fer corrects him; "Pedrito." He harshly tells her he doesn't like that name.

Pedro is on the phone with Rosaria trying to find Fer, when she walks in. Then it starts. I'm thinking that she could have laid out a plan to rescue Pedrito and herself, but no, she follows Luis' script. She doesn't want Pedro to touch her with his filthy hands. What else could she expect from a poor gardener? He isn't even her real father, and Amelia was never a mother to her.

We are at Isy's school and Teo is telling her how many records Malquerida breaking for viewership. Isy goes along with this line of talk and seems impressed. Yeah, Teo tells her, they are going to have a great business, but he wants to know what this "famous Teo Salinas" stuff is all about.

Well, we're back at the shack where Carlos has just walked in and tells her she can't treat her loved ones like she just did. So she lights into Carlos, saying he is worthless, and doesn't keep his promises. She dredges the misunderstanding about Isy up. She then gets her stuff and runs out the door and tells them not to follow her. They all look devastated.

Fer goes out in the trees and cries her heart out about what she has just done, but she forges ahead to meet Luis. Back inside the shack Amelia, Pedro and Carlos can't figure this out. (I guess the local library doesn't carry books by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.) Against orders, Carlos goes outside looking for Fer and shouting her name, and with his talent for such things, probably turns the wrong way. Too bad Igy wasn't there to walk them through what is going on.

Fer meets Luis on a dirt road and he excitedly tells her how great life is going to be running from the law and everything as a family unit Why, he even has it all set up for them to immigrate to Taiwan where he can't be extradited. Isn't that just peachy? He urges her into his Suburban-looking van as she cries and looks like she just arrived at a concentration camp.

David

Kendra, I sincerely apologize for my late comment but I've been away all day and just read your recap.

It was excellent. Truly.

"It seems as if Fer woke up on groundhog day because she forgot her baby was not there until Pedro reminds her that he is missing. She breaks down again" was poignant and my favorite line of many.

It was sad to see Fernanda in her confused haze. I don't think she was able to handle the abduction, hence her momentary lapse in memory or refusal to remember. I cannot imagine losing a child to death but having one abducted must be unbearable. Some never know what happens and I can't imagine living with that. Thankfully, that will likely not be Fernanda's lot.

I also loved Malq and the models. Her feisty attitude elevated her presence, didn't it?

And Izzy. Why is Teo even still speaking with her? Her horridness is readily apparent. I'm sure he has his choice of far better females.

Thank you again Kendra. I have said prayers for your family....

Diana

David, I missed tonight's episode so I gratefully thank you for the terrific summary.

"backward crab crawl" and "Luis vanishes like the ghost we wish he was" were among my favorites.

So Luis has (against all odds) managed to bring his scattered family together. Of course, he abducted the child and coerced Fernanda, but why quibble on the methods? He really seems to believe he can force Fernanda into wanting to be there, to be his daughter and part of his "family". I now (for the first time)believe he is mentally ill.

I'm worried about Marissa. Should I be?

It's nice Camila is being kind to Mariana, not that she deserved it in the slightest.

A note from yesterday: I am happy Diego's victims are being freed. At least physically as I'm sure the psychological scars will last for their life time.

I'm glad I missed Paco and Fernanda crying...

David, I join Anita in celebrating your sons are home safe and sound. There are some joys in life worth celebrating and this is certainly one of them.

Thank you again!

Diana

Un Camino August 19 Part Three

Fer and Luis arrive at his apartment, and she immediately hears Pedrito crying and runs into his room to comfort him. The little guy doesn't look too sure about any of this. Fer hugs him and tells him how much she missed him, and that they'll never be separated again.

At the prison, the director is handing an envelope to Igy. Read it yourself, he tells Igy. Igy studies it for a few seconds, then looks up at the director and says, "I knew it! I knew it!"

We are back at the shack where Carlos, Amelia and Pedro are wringing their hands over the problem of whether Fer is nuts or not. They toss around stuff like, Rosaria was right behind Fer and didn't see anything, and She was preparing breakfast for him even though she knew he was gone. Just then there is a knock at the door and Igy walks in. Amelia opines that the cops are chasing a ghost, because Luis is dead. Iggy says, "Of course not. Luis is alive." The clueless trio good at him in shocked surprise. They finally realize that Fer was entirely correct. Luis Monerto has the baby and Fer.

In Pedrito's nursery, Fer sobbingly cuddles with the little guy. (Yeah, Luis. PEDRITO! This is MY keyboard, and I'll call him anything I want to.) Luis looks on this scene, and with his atrophied sense of family and love, he doesn't know what to do.

Teo and Isy are at her school talking about how her heart has changed. She succeeded in convincing him that her anthracite heart is transitioning into a diamond. He wants to help her. They smooch to close the deal. (Ugh. Hope he gargles.)

We are back at PEDRITO's nursery where Luis is telling Fer how well taken care of the baby is. Fer looks at him over her shoulder and flashes back to the awful things she did and said other family. Look at this bedroom I fixed up for hem (with money I stole from you future mother-in-law). Isn't it great? It's fit for a prince. Fer buries her head in PEDRITO's neck and says, "Please forgive me, Papa." Luis says you have nothing to be forgiven for, and you called me papa. "I wasn't talking to you," Fer says, and Luis gets a look in his eye that says this may be a bigger problem than he anticipated.

At the shack, Amelia, Pedro and Carlos are just realizing that the insults Fer threw at them were at the manipulation of Luis. Jeez, people, you are way on the left side of the Bell Curve.

At the estate, Clarita is trying to get Marissa to eat something, which she refuses to do. Iggy shows up and gently chides her for not looking after her health. What I really need is a hug, she tells him. He gently brings her to her feet and says, you really need to do something to make your health better, and then he gives her a tender hug. She says she is dying, and he wants her to fight. She thinks that the day she let Luis Montero into her life, she started dying.

Carlos is staying at the shack, and is startled awake by the memory of what Fer said to him. He knows that she is a good mother, and prays that she is caring for Pedrito. Paco barges in and they embrace, giving each other strength to face the storm that is surrounding them.

At Luis' apartment, he is trying to get Fer to see things his way, and she rebuffs him at every turn. He has ripped her life apart. He has taken her from the love of her life. That guy is a loser, Luis tells her. This can't be wrong because I love you so much. (Does this guy and Diego belong to the same demented cult or something?) He tells her that she knows what he is capable of (which emphatically does not include selfless love).

Iggy and Marissa are talking about loving and the prospect of dying. He urges her to fight, and to let him help. He says things that demonstrate that he is the polar opposite of Luis.

David

Un Camino Aug 19 Part Four

Luis and Fer are in her bedroom at his apartment, and he is trying to buy her soul with stylish, sophisticated dresses. (It's always worked for him before.) He lovingly tells her that, personally, he wishes she were more refined, trying to score points with her. Our genius abogado lets slip that Alicia is up to her armpits in his plot, and Fer is surprised. I wonder if Luis has a plane ticket for Alicia for Taiwan too, or if he is just going to leave her at the boarding gate to be arrested?

Fer and Luis get into it again over PEDRITO's name. He flies off the handle. Jeez Louise, Luis, you; loose it over a little boy's name? Yeah, you're cementing deep ties with you daughter and her son :(

FIN

David

Awesome David. Thanks

"(Yeah, Luis. PEDRITO! This is MY keyboard, and I'll call him anything I want to.)"

I'm glad Fernanda gets some quality time with biodad. Perhaps when it's over she'll stop moping over her earlier rebuffs to his entreaty.

David, because I hadn't seen this, I thought you were done with your recap.

My apologies! The rest was fantastic peppered with gems such as "Luis looks on this scene, and with his atrophied sense of family and love, he doesn't know what to do". Wonderful. "She succeeded in convincing him that her anthracite heart is transitioning into a diamond" - wow!

I believe you answered my earlier question about Marissa. "She says she is dying, and he wants her to fight. She thinks that the day she let Luis Montero into her life, she started dying". Oh my heavens. That must have been heartbreaking to watch. Luis is guilty of emotional murder and neglect. I can think of few things more heinous.

I guess it will be up to Iggy to find Luis and his stolen family. I have faith in Iggy. What I don't have faith in as that Fer and Carlos will be able to revel in their happiness for more than a NY minute ere the FIN sign flashes.

David, thank you, thank you! Diana

David--I'm on my way out the door, but had to stop and tell you what a terrific recap this was. I tripped over "atrophied sense of family and love" and I see Diana pulled it out. But my favorite was at the end, "Jeez Louise, Luis, you; loose it over a little boy's name?" If he doesn't end up dead, he will surely end up in a padded room--or if he's lucky, in Javier's consulting office.

See you all in a week. Have fun watching the freeing Fer and PEDRITO (I'm with you there, David). There will surely be more tears and angst before that happens. The family in the shack was pretty pathetic. I kept yelling, go after her when she took off and at least see where she was going. Grrrr.

Ok. Sunsets and the waters of Lake Ontario await me.

"Sunsets and the waters of Lake Ontario" sound wonderfully relaxing Anita.

You will be missed! Safe travels and enjoy yourself. Looking forward to having you back on the patio very soon.

Diana

Hi, all. Ugh, after being up until 4AM putting this thing together, I've been dragging all day.

Diana, don't worry about commenting early. I was so slow in getting this up that it is understandable that you would think it was done. Like you, my only hope for sanity in this thing is that Iggy sees all situations through. He is the only one who seems to have the street smarts to make good things happen

tofie, thank you. Yeah, Luis is starting to really piss me off, so I hope Fer gets a good dose of his twisted "love." That should help her to move on.

Anita, off again? Lake Ontario sounds like fun this time of year. I'm hoping that Luis doesn't worm his way into a limited stint under Jav's care. I like your padded cell idea, but a really horrific accident would work too.

Steve, yep the family is pathetic. I don't know how they'll get out of going to Taiwan, but I'll bet they do.

Thank you all for your comments and kind words.

David

hi David great recap of a frustrating episode. that crew at the shack ain't too bright are they? someone should have followed her. you know? just to see where she went. even louy was smart enough to hunker down in the woods to see what he needed to do.They had to know fer didn't mean a word of what she said, but they didn't get it until Iggy came. Why aren't they smarter than that?

I'd like to grab that Alicia person and shake her. she don't look stupid but you can't go by looks. He must have given her a boatload of money for helping him. stupid woman. I still don't like izzy. Teo deserves better but it's apparent he don't think so. So go on, knock yourself out T. You go Iggy, the only clear thinker in the bunch. Him and Parker and pedrito.

I hope this makes her realize she cannot be nice to the sicko that is her bio-dad. I don't know who's worst, him or demonego. Two very creepy men.
Maybe they can have adjoining padded cells.

Diana, thanks on both counts. I may not have thanked anyone...don't remember. I recapped and then the funeral was Friday almost all day very nice and repast was somber and festive at the same time (party style - his mom did a great job things I wouldn't have thought of) so sorry if I didn't say thank you guys.

David i think tofie mentioned one of my favorite parts...its my keyboard lol!

I agree that there is a secret demonic club for the obsessed with special meetings for the sick and twisted.

Good morning, nina. Yes, I totally agree that the bunch in the shack sure weren't seeing things in an insightful way. For Fer's personality to suddenly change so dramatically deserved some thoughtful consideration rather than short circuiting to "she's nuts."
Thank God that Iggy was there almost immediately to correct them.

Kendra, glad the funeral went ok, and especially that his mom had the depth of character to make it an uplifting occasion. Glad you are back with us.

David

Kendra, it sounded as though much care and attention was given to the funeral. Of course David's comment "that his mom had the depth of character to make it an uplifting occasion" echoed my feelings (but he said it better than I ever could have).

Praying for strength and comfort for all of you. Bless you.

Diana

Perfect description David...uplifting. Yes it was. Thanks again everyone for your prayers and condolences.

Just wanted to say thank you to all of last week's recappers. Well done. I watched a bit of the show while on vacation but missed some important things that you all captured with your awesome as always recaps! On to the last week and a day of this crazy show.

Episode #120 (Monday, August 22, 2016): Suspira, Indeed

Ah my last recap! As you know, this is the first time I've chatted and participated and recapped and not just lurked, and it's been great - I encourage other lurkers to come on in, the water's fine! As for the show, I think it's going to end up as one of my favorite telenovelas. It really never got boring, which is a big thing, especially for a Natalie telenovela! In fact, I enjoyed its almost frenetic at times pace, and I really kind of love the overall theme of forgiveness and finding your destiny.

Now on to the recap of this episode - many times my captions indicated "Suspira" (sigh) and yup! Sums this episode up! I did combine a few scenes for convenience.

- We begin with a repeat of Luis' attempt last Friday to do a fashion makeover on his captive Fer. We get to see them fight over the name of the toddler too. Luis is team Luisito (of course he is) and Fer reiterates that the kid is named Pedrito after Pedro. Luis reminds her that name makes him mad and sad for reasons.

- Sad Carlos is in bed tossing and turning. He gets up and wakes up Marissa and crawls in bed with her for a mama cuddle.

- Fer has changed into a cuter dress and her hair looks its best ever. Good job Luis! Unfortunately we still have the Chucks; please send Alicia to the shoe store soon. Luis comes in and proudly shows her the false passports with their new identities. That starts round 2 of the fighting. He plays some mind games on Fer, trying to make her think this is all voluntary on her part. But then he slips up and calls her family poor. That sets her off again. He backs down and tries again to convince her is wants to be good. She wants to see her son.

- Carlos is still being cuddled by his mama. Marissa pep talks him about the Fer/Pedrito situation. Carlos is lost without Fer and Pedrito. Marissa tells him they have to wait.

- Pedro is also having sleep issues and is all curled up in a ball. Amelia encourages him to come to bed, but he insists on waiting for Fer's return.

- Never-say-die Luis gloats as only he can to himself about how this plot is going.

- Fer looks at Pedrito and thinks to herself how she had to lie to her family in order to ensure she was with Pedrito and able to save him. (We get to see those sad scenes again.) She hopes they'll forgive her.

Episode #120 (Monday, August 22, 2016): Suspira, Indeed, Part 2:

The next day:

- Blanca encourages Pedro, Amelia and Kleptobel to eat. They aren't hungry. Amelia kind of blanks out for a minute.

- Luis encourages Fer to eat. She refuses and is pouty. He tells her that her kid needs to see a happy mama. He also reveals that he saw her visit his crypt after the prison fire, and heard her muse about how she might love him. He wanted to tell her then he was alive. This gets her curiosity up and she asks him to tell her about the escape. Luis tells her about his deals and misdoings with Apolinar and the necklace.

- Maribel and Malquerida catch up. Except Malquerida is too pre-occupied to give a crap about Fer and Pedrito's disappearance. Maribel calls her on it and tells her if she was so worried about being captured, filming a nationwide TV ad was probably not the move. (LOL, true, that!) Malq recalls all the good things that have happened since her escape (making the deal for the ad, dates with Marcos) and realizes she likes being a good person on the outside. She's afraid to give it all up.

- Fer confronts Luis about what he did to Marissa and Rosaura. He tries to deny it all and claims he tried to save Marissa. Then Fer confronts Luis about how he framed her and sent her to prison. Luis doesn't know how to rectify that error. Fer says she doesn't believe that Luis really loves her. In fact, she tells him that he's sick and please don't call me hija, you killer! He very low-key threatens her life if she leaves and makes it clear Pedrito won't be going with her if she does.

- Olivia proves to be the most befuddled of them all at the police station as she berates the investigator and defends Diego as "the best man in the world." She refuses to testify against him and help his other victims. Suspira indeed.

- Later, Luis checks on Fer and Pedrito and asks why Fer won't eat. Fighting round 3 commences. See my last two fight summaries for what they fight about.

- Lucero arrives at the police station and she and Olivia get into it. Olivia attacks her verbally and physically and the cop pulls her off. Lucero points out how if Olivia doesn't help, then she will share the blame for what Diego did. Olivia calls Lucero a few more names and tells her that all the blame is on her.

Episode #120 (Monday, August 22, 2016): Suspira, Indeed, Part 3:

- Luis changes gears and tries to prove again to Fer that he is really a good guy. She is understandably leery.

- Marissa and Iggy are looking for something on computer. (Financial records? I wasn't sure.) Clarita brings tea and makes a production out of it. Of course Marissa spills the tea and a ring box falls out of the cup! Iggy says something about Luis that I didn't catch. Marissa says that Luis robbed her and he had no right. (Hopefully one of you can flesh this out more.)

- More importantly, Iggy drops on one knee and proposes! Marissa says yes!!! (But, ugh: they threw another ominous foreshadowing into her answer - basically how no matter how much time they have together, they'll be together.)

- The cop stops to visit Pedro and Amelia to basically report that there's no report on Fer. For once I agree with Pedro's reaction to something, as he tells the cop not to come back until he's done his job and has something to report.

- Fer plays with Pedrito. She misses the family, but she must be with her son. That's the priority.

- Marissa and Iggy canoodle. Carlos interrupts, but they are here for them since they are family! They tell him they need to ask for his blessing. Laughably suspenseful music plays while Carlos of course gives his blessing. Finally Marissa and Iggy ask him about Fer. He sounds a pinch more hopeful - he realized she's with Pedrito and she's a good mother. They repeat that she's a good mom a few more times, and we see Fer try to feed Pedrito.

No avances, but a Gran Final preview at the end! (It's next Monday.)

Thanks, dy. Great job, as always. I will miss your clear insightful recaps.

Well, there seems to be a fuzzy line between "freedom" and "kidnaped" in Luis' mind. 'Of course you're are free to go out, but I don't want you to so you can get used to having a nanny do stuff like that for you.' Give me a break.

Olivia can give Fer lessons about the joys of being sequestered.

Iggy and Marissa were cute with their developing romance and Carlos was just as cute as he accepted it.

I don't know how the directors and the actors prepare to deal with an unpredictable character like PEDRITO, but Paulina Goto seems to have mastered the situation. He does really well around her.

Yes, that statement about 'no matter how long we have together' was ominous.

I don't know how such a thing might be done legally, but I really hope Malquerida does not return to prison.

Thanks again, dy.

David

dy, you have been such a wonderful addition to this recapping team. What a lovely last recap.

"Never-say-die Luis gloats as only he can to himself about how this plot is going" and "Laughably suspenseful music plays" were among my favorites.

“I really kind of love the overall theme of forgiveness and finding your destiny” was beautiful.

Marissa and Iggy were the night's highlight. He has good taste in jewelry as well.

Aside from Fernanda and Pedrito, the saddest moment was "Olivia proves to be the most befuddled of them all at the police station as she berates the investigator and defends Diego as "the best man in the world." She refuses to testify against him and help his other victims". Bewildering. totally. But then "Olivia can give Fer lessons about the joys of being sequestered". Wonderful David :)

dy, thank you again for all your hard work and efforts. They are greatly appreciated.

Diana

Dy--A big SIGH, just the start. No more recaps from you? Double sigh. It was a wonderful despedida you offered us. Thank you. I'm also very glad you came out of the inky shadows as a lurker and into the sunshine and bright lights of commenting and then recapping. You are a natural. Please continue to use your talents to benefit other Carayers who need help with translations. CC's may put us out of business, but they can't replace the lofty comments and insightful discussions that CarayCaray offers on this site. It's a wonderful community to belong to.

So, Luis is still hell-bent on "making" Fer love him. To me, his "earnest" pleadings are a little bit creepy. He can't marry her, but it sure sounds like he wants to be the only man in her life.

Yes the highlight was Iggy's proposal. I thought it was a bit odd for Marissa to get down on her knees to be at his level, but he was waiting for an answer and I don't think he was going to get up until he got the yes he was hoping for. All I could think of as I watched was that Marissa is a good deal younger than I am, but somewhere around 50+ the knees begin to object if they don't have a cushion and a pew in front of them. I've decided E.C. is a gorgeous woman. Iggy is lucky to get Marissa.

I'll be putting up the new page soon, but if anyone has anymore comments about last night's episode, do add them here.

Ah...as we wind down to the last recap! Dy - fab as always. I really wish I was capable of giving so much detail as briefly as you are able. I try, but I fail.

Luis had me conflicted as ever last night. He is truly demented. You can't force someone to love you and holding her son as bait to get her to comply to your demands/requests is not going to get you a 'Worlds Greatest Dad' mug or mouse pad either, but I see (maybe even empathize with) why he is desperate for Fer to give him a chance when she won't even talk to him. All I heard last night during those scenes with the two of them was Jennifer Holiday (Dreamgirls or Jennifer Hudson - more currently) singing "and I'm telling you, I'm not going" "and you - you're gonna love me!"

This is just not the way to do it...I don't know how he could have made it happen, but this is certainly not it.

Iggy and Marissa - plus plus!

I'm so sad...this is ending. (I saw Avances not sure why you didn't and my face had shock on it)

Kendra--And Luis keeps saying he's not crazy. One minute he sounds rational, the next he flies off the handle and he's back to Square Zero.

Anita your comment came while i was still typing but your "he can't marty her, but it sure looks like he wants to be the only man in her life" reminded me of Pedro's obsession and possessive behavior not long ago and for over 2 years.

Only difference was that Fer actually loves him and he didn't need to worry about losing her...Luis is starting from ground negative 600 and 1 (seperated for effect lol)

dy77, Thanks for another great recap!

I was thinking that Luis could have tried to justify what he did to Apolinar by claiming that he did it in self-defense, sort of a preemptive attack. Apolinar did send him to the prison infirmary, and he also threatened to kill Luis. That whole scheme seemed much too risky; I thought Luis would try to escape when they took out the kitchen trash.

I was very sleepy toward the end of last night's episode, so I'm not sure what I saw in the advances. Nothing that shocked me, so I guess I'm glad I missed it.

I loved the proposal scene, but I thought that Carlos's display of happiness was a little much. If your fiancee and baby have been kidnapped, I don't know how you could show happiness at much of anything. I guess he knows that Luis wants to possess them, not hurt them.

I'm teaching ESL tonight, and I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow, but I'll try
to get my recap of tonight's show up by tomorrow afternoon.

Late but thank you everyone! I may recap Color de la Pasion since apparently Carlos and Luis are in it playing younger/older same character! If I like the show, will consider doing recaps.
