(Today on apologies w/sneaky two shoes (which seems to be a weekly
show) - I missed the first, almost to the first commercial break. I
have no excuse, nor any good reason. I was just daydreaming and forgot
to set my recorder and by the time I realized
I was missing it it was 12-13 min past the hour. Sorry:( What I did
see though was chock full of irritating tropes )
Ram & Llora sweet talk/convo Abue has a surprise for them, Ram looks concerned over what it could be- Analu eavesdrops and learns afterward that not only does he have a novia they're getting married and Analu is invited to the wedding as "the guest of honor" (which she should find weird but doesn't say anything about)
Chana takes the opportunity to 'I told you so' to Ramiro about accepting that gun. He acknowledges she was right and will never doubt her again. She also reminds him he's the only one who can save the girl.
Evaristo doesn't recognize his grandson and thinks he was sent to kill him so he threatens him at gunpoint despite the grandson telling him multiple times who he is. They fight over the gun and it goes off and the grandson is killed. Henchies enter the room. Ev yells at them for letting this guy get so close to him. The henchies tell Ev the dead guy is his grandson. NOW Ev believes it. He takes a moment to pull himself together and tells them he knows that, of course and totally killed him on purpose. Now disappear the body! And Ev goes in his room to cry and rip up his book and mourn his grandson.
Llora wants Valentin to invite his mom to their recital. He doesn't want to and doesn't want to talk about it. The only person he needs is her. *deep and meaningful look* Llora continues trying to mend fences in the Valentin fam b/c he's her only friend (what about foundation friend? You've known her for way longer and she's in more trouble right now than Val what with the embezzling thing and losing her job.) Anyway Llora really cares for Val but Val takes it a step farther than meaningful looks now and tells her he loves her and always will.
Aaand Ramiro walks in. Awkwardness ensues. Val leaves. Llora and Ramiro argue about how each treats Val.
Oh yah Remedios is gonna be ok (don't remember when that info was given but, yeah)
Maribel is pretty upset to learn from Analu that Ramiro not only has a novia but is gonna marry her and she kind of takes it out on the messenger, but she does have a point that its pretty hypocritical of Analu to tell her to give up on a guy whose engaged when Analu is going after a married man.
Santiago visits Remedios - upshot, he's gonna disappear from her life to protect her. (if I had a dollar for every time a stupid tn character said they were going to do this I'd be rich. Still annoyed with this nonsense, but rich) And he's saying goodbye while she's unconscious so he doesn't have to deal w/her crying as well as his own. He leaves and she wakes up and says his name and then drifts off again.
Sole and Chana - Chana thinks Sole should make Analu listen. Sole can't even look her in the eyes to tell her she's not her mom. Well if you don't someone else will. Analu comes over to tell them Remedios will be ok and she and Santi are gonna talk, this time no lies. Sole is all just remember I love you, I know you'll never look at me the same way but I love you.
Chana is all hey! He's gonna tell her everything why aren't you all over this, but Sole knows she'll never have the courage to tell Analu herself and Santi loves her so its better she hear it from him. When/if Analu comes back Sole will be gone. (like left town gone, or dead gone?)

He wants to know if she'll marry him. She says 'yes, if I get everything I want first.' He's all 'cool, but, really? cause you kinda left me hanging before. Here's what lets do', *pulls out a camera* She's all 'tacky dude' He goes 'no its not for that, you make a taped confession to killing Jenny so I have some security, something to hold you to your promise' She's all 'what?! are you crazy? No way dude!' He's all 'no, no, its cool, you confess to killing Jenny and then I'll confess to killing Daniel and then we each have something on the other. It'll be great then nobody (probably mostly me) gets betrayed!'
She actually goes for the idea and starts recording her confession but we don't actually see it, just the part where she starts out with 'My name is __ and this is all true'
Later Inaki, after some dutch courage, starts his confession with 'my name is __ and this is how I slowly planned the death of my half brother '
Clawd and TioM discuss how very very much he owes her for helping him find his niece. Its a lot. But she doesn't want money, no, that would be tacky. All she wants is a hug and a very conveniently timed kiss. Sue sees them through the glass walls and stalks off in anger, almost running into TioM's lawyer who hits on her and she says 'you're just like him, a pair of idiots. Hasta Nunca!'
Just a few moments too late, TioM pushes Clawd away and tells her that this time he's gonna be faithful, he doesn't care that they cheated on Jenny together, this is different. She's like 'ppssheayeah right, you can't be monagamous you're not built for it' He's all 'yeah I can' She goes 'k but call me when you change your mind, you know I'll be waiting. byee'
Ram and Llora are still fighting about Val (I'm gonna RPC all this except one line Ram says he doesn't have anybody in his life pretending to be his friend waiting to seduce him and I choke w/laughter Umm, actually...)
Val's drinking and remembering work. Probably the lead up to the infamous accidental, not an accident b/c TioM is telling him to get up on a ladder and fix somping
Avances show maybe Analu finally finds out everything and Llora dressing like a nun

We are so close yet so far away with truth for Ana Lu. I wonder what, if anything, Mariano will tell Ernestina - or will he simply omit mentioning Ana Lucia's name and claim he didn't lie, he just didn't tell?

I think that Ana Lucia will most likely find out the entire truth in Friday's episode. It appears that Sant/Marc is going to finally spill all the beans.
Mariano is not very intelligent is he? Yep, right there in a glass room where people can peer in, including Viridiana. And he should have been already expecting that CLAW-dia would be trying to come on to him big time wanting to be "paid". Hope he hasn't ruined his relationship with Viri. She's the best thing for him.

Looks like Evaristo got a huge anvil realizing that he killed his own grandson. I thought that the self portrait of a tortured Frida Kahlo looking on from the wall at his home was an interesting touch.
Ana Laura really had to call Ramiro out on being so cut and dried with Valentín? Like she does not know why already? Give me a break! Where do her loyalties lie? She needs to realize this is the "real" world and not some 'fairy land" existence.

Victoria, your Ramiro comment made me laugh. No kidding, our resident detective seems to have given up on his mission. Let's hope Valeria isn't holding her breath.

One thing I know for sure is that Ana Leticia did not tell the truth in that confession. She never does. She might not be very smart, but she is not stupid.

I think Ana Leticia probably erased her part of the recording right before Inaki started recording his. That smirk on her face was soo suspicious-looking. I love her! Well, not HER her ... I love to watch her facial expressions as she instantly comes up with Plans B, C, D, and all the way to Plan Z if necessary. You can actually see the wheels turning!

Jarifa: SoeBad mentioned over and over, what, fifty times in recent scenes that without Ana she does not want to live. Almost chanting "I want to die". When she said AnaLuci would not find her, I thought it seemed more ominous, as in ..I'll be d e a d. But it may have been wishful thinking on my part.

I'll cut Ramiro some slack. The only two people who could have done the embezzlement are Valeria or Edmundo. And as much of a jerk as Ed is, he has never given Ram any reason to suspect he's a criminal.
The only two people who could reveal that Ed is dirty are Valentin and Ev. Ev is so far gone at this point, he's pretty useless. Let's hope he has a lot more lucid moments in him so that we can get the reveal about the key, Edmundo, and Soledad's origins.
As for who the powerful person is who is Ev's nemesis and who helped arranged Marcelo's fake death, I don't have a clue. The only real candidate is Rodrigo, but he doesn't really seem to be linked to these folks or known much about them. Maybe it's Chana.

The dangerous man is the one who helped fake Marcelo's death to keep him safe. Can't see Ed doing that, and Fac really thought his son was dead.
Evaristo's anvil is as big as I could imagine. He will likely do time in a facility for the criminally insane if he doesn't commit suicide before being caught.
Marcelo knows that Ana MeMeME hired Evaristo to kill him. He could fear him because of this and because of his attempts at turning him and Ramiro against each other.
I was wondering whether anyone would comment on the Frida Kahlo painting in the room. It's certainly a disturbing image and nothing I would expect to see on a hotel room wall.

At some point last night, I think it was around the time Llora was babbling on how great Tin is that I thought....honestly, except for poor AnaLu, do I still care about these people? Odd TN when you are pretty fed up with everyone, even the hero's who just need to take a deep breathe and start being so concillatory and get things moving.
Honestly, maybe we know Tin is going to get his at the end, but Ram has a problem with the blinders and refusal of Llora to put some distance in her "friendship" with Tin. She isn't stupid, she knows how this guy used to feel, and the hand touching and leaning in...maybe her ego likes the attention, who knows. But your fiancé is uncomfortable and he deserves oh, maybe, a smidge of being listened to.
Last night, I had to admit that most likely Inaki is a dead man walking I think. If she cleverly turned the tables and erased her confession, then he's toast. Another notch on her elimination board. He knows too much as it is.
SoleBooHoo is unbearable to watch and I really hate the dramatic music behind her scenes as if we should be feeling sympathy at her loss. Horse hockey. Don't let the door hit you on the way out.
I like your idea about Chana Vivi, what a twist that would be. But leaning to Rod. He seems a vague character that begs for more clarity on why he's in the this story. I don't recall we ever had a scene with he and Ev to see if they knew each other or if there was a reaction between the two, have we?

I just set the Karmageddon discussion to post this afternoon. It looks like Evaristo is really beginning to get his and thus the anvils will begin falling. We are finally going to get some results with the truth and there are always consequences.

I'll be lazy today and simply say that I echo every word Jarifa wrote.
The recording was a rather ingenious inspiration. Inaki may be hopelessly besotted, but he hasn't let his sexual obsession with Ana overrule logic. He knows she cannot be trusted and that he must exercise some hold over him otherwise she will use and dismiss him (yes, even kill him Jarifa, daisy, anon and others) without looking over her shoulder. He is colder and crueler than I want to admit, yet, I did sense a tiny moment where he seemed to express regret and guilt when he revealed he killed his brother.
Anon, you noted Ana didn't tell the truth in her confession. I am looking forward to reading the recap to find out what she said.
Vivi, good point about Ramiro not suspecting his father for the theft. They've had their differences but I can understand that he hasn't realized how corrupt his father is.
Virginia and Victoria, I think the invisible man must be Rodrigo.
Ev is suffering a terrible fate - one that is worse as death.
I still have not a whit of compassion for Soledad! I look forward to Ana Lu finally hearing about her family.
I'm so ticked off Valentin is still managing to hold onto Ana Laura with his pitiful, clinging act and that Ana is tolerating him. I agree that perhaps (even unintentionally) she enjoys making Ram a bit jealous.
Last night was further proof that Mariano cannot sustain a loving, faithful relationship. The truth is his head may want a "good woman" but he is being overruled by other urges, hence his continual cheating.UA, I totally agree that Viri should leave him. Pronto.

The recording was a rather ingenious inspiration. Inaki may be hopelessly besotted, but he hasn't let his sexual obsession with Ana overrule logic. He knows she cannot be trusted and that he must exercise some hold over him otherwise she will use and dismiss him (yes, even kill him Jarifa, daisy, anon and others) without looking over her shoulder. He is colder and crueler than I want to admit, yet, I did sense a tiny moment where he seemed to express regret and guilt when he revealed he killed his brother.
Anon, you noted Ana didn't tell the truth in her confession. I am looking forward to reading the recap to find out what she said.
Vivi, good point about Ramiro not suspecting his father for the theft. They've had their differences but I can understand that he hasn't realized how corrupt his father is.
Virginia and Victoria, I think the invisible man must be Rodrigo.

I still have not a whit of compassion for Soledad! I look forward to Ana Lu finally hearing about her family.
I'm so ticked off Valentin is still managing to hold onto Ana Laura with his pitiful, clinging act and that Ana is tolerating him. I agree that perhaps (even unintentionally) she enjoys making Ram a bit jealous.
Last night was further proof that Mariano cannot sustain a loving, faithful relationship. The truth is his head may want a "good woman" but he is being overruled by other urges, hence his continual cheating.UA, I totally agree that Viri should leave him. Pronto.

I thought they were setting us up with all that AnaLaura/Vin Tin Tin/Rambo goofyness.
Any girl in luuurve enough to marry her object of adoration would have given any hand grabber a "Get your clammy paws off me!" Rather than the longing "OH I wish." looks she was giving Hot Wheels. Ramiro was justified calling her on it.
This immediately followed the scenes where Maribel is going on and on about how badly she has the hots for Ramiro.I mean trouble in paradise, a hot two legger walks in, who knows what could happen. I really can't hold it against the girl for being boring and uninteresting, or for being dumb. But I just can't do boring and dummer than a box of rocks. ( I know, but dummer flows better)
Inaki, why didn't you leave your phone in video record mode on the dresser like the little doctor in Lo Imperdonable? She sure was fiddling with the $2 video camera, much more than just pressing the resume button.

Feeling philosophical this a.m. and knowing they could have chosen any or no painting to hang at Evaristo's house, this is what I think: the Frida Kahlo painting fits perfectly for symbolic reasons. In the painting Frida is very much a woman on the outside even though she is crumbling on the inside very much like Evaristo who looks very much a normal man on the outside but is being destroyed by dementia on the inside. I think the painting was chosen for that symbolism; if not it was a lucky choice!

So yesterday I was complaining that Ev needed a bigger anvil and he got it last night. The problem is, as someone else mentioned, he holds the key literally and figuratively, to so much of what has gone on and who is guilty for what.
I actually agree with what Mariano is saying to Santi/Marc about him getting out of the girls' lives. In his mind he is trying to reunite a family, 3 sisters tragically torn apart. He doesn't want a fight over a man to keep them apart. Sisters before misters! ;)

I am disappointed in Mariano, but not surprised. I think that kind of behavior has been typical for him for so long that it has become a reflex. He has no prior experience refusing kisses, and it takes a long time for an old dog to learn a new trick.
We didn't actually see Ana Leticia's "confession," so we don't know if what she said on camera was the truth. She could have bent the story to make it sound like an accident. It would still be incriminating enough for Inaki's purposes, because she didn't report what happened; but it wouldn't be murder.
Victoria, my guess as to Evaristo's "very powerful enemy" is still Rodrigo. He is connected to Evaristo by way of Margarita. Margarita is the reason Ernestina dumped him. Why this would turn into a such a powerful grudge, I don't know - but then we probably don't know the whole story of Margarita yet, either.

Ana Laura ticked me off too. Valentin straight up told her that he loves her, stroked her hand, and leaned in for a kiss (that she didn't lean back from), and Ramiro saw it all. You bet she would flip her lid and pop off a leg if she caught Ramiro in the exact same situation. In fact, she HAS. But then she's getting mad at Ram and insisting that Tin was just being friendly and doesn't have those kinds of feelings for her anymore. Say what?
The writers have done such a horrible job, making Ram and Laura the most boring couple on the planet that they are throwing in stupid things to create drama.

I wish the writers had actually invested some time in developing the Ana Laura character. I would have liked to have seen her evolve from a shy, naive, self-conscious character, to someone outgoing and not held back by her prosthetic leg. It would have been a great PSA, and very satisfying. But once again, last night she was on Ramiro's case because HE couldn't possibly understand what it's like to be disabled like her and Valentin. She still hasn't even let Ram see her prosthesis! How in the heck are they going to get married and get busy in a few months?
Laura said that Valentin was her only friend (or that she is his only friend - I forget which). That was her defense. Sarcastically, I suggest that perhaps this lack of friendship experience means that they don't realize that it's not customary to make romantic noises at one's engaged friends. (Although I would characterize Valentine's overtures as pathetic rather than romantic.)
Maybe Laura really does desperately need the ego-stroking, because it would drive me insane to have someone talk to me the way Valentin talks to her. But for her it is like candy.

Oh my..how I hate these jealousy/break up set ups like we had last night with both Mariano/Vridiana and Ana Laura/Ramiro. On the other hand, maybe Vridiana is destined to be the soul-mate of Mariano's lawyer and this is just the first step in what would be a very rushed romance given that we're in Ultimas Semanas.
But LOVED the Ana Leticia/Iñaki scenes last night. They both gorgeous, they're both BAD BAD BAD and their crafty malice is deadly but charming. Can't resist those two together. Inaki wants money. I can see him taking out AnaLet after they are married. After all, he advised his brother to go after AnaLaura for the money. Plus, he knows that she will try to take him out too. Anyone still at his table?
Vivi, you nailed it. The writers had such a perfect moment when she found out what AnaLoon had been accusing her off all those years to stand up straight, slap her sister silly and start being woman, hear me roar, prosthetic included. It would have been a great PSA ( oddly few in this one) but instead, she shed the simple tear, slinks away and back to her woe is me. I have a nephew with a severe disability that affects his legs, and if there is one thing my brother and his wife have emphasized with him is that it may hold him back in some ways, but not in everything. He plays basketball on a youth wheel chair team, sled hockey, as well as learning that self awareness is one thing, self-pity is another. I don't think Llora ever got that lesson--she's been allowed to feel self-conscious and not encouraged to get out and LIVE! The fact she has no real friends--I'd like to slap Abue up the head for that.

I was pretty annoyed with Ana Laura last night. I can’t believe any young woman her age would be so naïve. Tin-tin was leaning into her and holding her hand and telling her that he loves her. Instead of even gently correcting him by pulling away and saying “sorry Tin-tin, but you have to find yourself another girl”, and pointing to her engagement ring. She should have said something like “Ramiro is my only true love and you and I will only ever be friends.” She should have said all the stuff that guys don’t want to hear from a girl that they are interested in and rebuffed his advances. I bet she would not have overheard Maribel talking with Ana Lu about being in love with Rambo and implying that she didn’t care that he was engaged to be married. Yet she DEFENDED Tin-tin to Ramiro. Where on earth is her loyalty??? It must be that she loves having another man be interested in her and it gives her a little bit of a “high”. She was acting more like a boy crazy 12 year old instead of a grown woman who is about to be married in six months.
Can’t wait for tonight when FINALLY Ana Lu should be getting the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. Ana Lu told Solebad that her love for her will never change. Well, that remains to be seen when the woman who claimed to love you and says she is your mother really isn’t your mother but kept you from your true family for 20 years….I would say that real truth would change how she feels.

How many times can someone tell him that Ram never even knew Gina back when she first dumped/cheated on Val? What's the point of all this?

Although Santi is going to be the one to tell AnaLu everything I still think she needs an explanation from Soledad. Running away isn't going to solve Sole's problems. There's really no one that will continue to help Sole with this secret. Even Chana wants her to tell AnaLu the truth. Oh, does anyone remember the episode where Ana Llora and Tin-tin were in the living room and Tin-tin was trying to put the moves on her and she rejected him nicely by saying something like: “Oh Valentin, it was so nice of you to come and visit. My grandmother always enjoys seeing you.” Now that’s the Ana Laura I want to see! The one who politely says that she isn’t interested, but oh, Grandma thinks you are wonderful. Just what a guy wants to hear, that Grandma enjoys his visits. He is so creepy, I just can’t stand him.
Maybe Ram just 'test dump' AnaL'Val for a bit. I am tired of little twit AnaLet and hairless whatever his name is, but I'd pay to see Maribel and Ramiro. She'd teach him a foreign language. He'd forget about Peg for a while, and probably forget whose his Daddy too.

Cynthia, thank you for reminding me of that humorous moment with Laura and Tin. Up till last night, I'd been fairly happy with her lately, but last night was really annoying.

I think that whole sham of a scene last night with Ram and Llora was an attempt to drag out the tired plot line of Llora being unsure of herself, feeling inadequate and the only guy who could get her is the safe guy in the wheelchair who wouldn't be able to get too frisky with her anyway. BEEN THERE DONE THAT for how many episodes? Tired and if this is all they can think up for ultimates for those two, then park it. I'm with Judy, they may be bad, but I'd watch extra scenes with AnaLoon and Inaki any day. (I always picture Rulli looking tense off to the side during filming.)

Oh, I just saw that there's no show on Monday. Fear not. Even though I won't have a recap for that night, I am planning a "special."
Part 1
(Today on apologies w/sneaky two shoes (which seems to be a weekly show) - I missed the first, almost to the first commercial break. I have no excuse, nor any good reason. I was just daydreaming and forgot to set my recorder and by the time I realized I was missing it it was 12-13 min past the hour. Sorry:( What I did see though was chock full of irritating tropes )
Ram & Llora sweet talk/convo Abue has a surprise for them, Ram looks concerned over what it could be- Analu eavesdrops and learns afterward that not only does he have a novia they're getting married and Analu is invited to the wedding as "the guest of honor" (which she should find weird but doesn't say anything about)
Chana takes the opportunity to 'I told you so' to Ramiro about accepting that gun. He acknowledges she was right and will never doubt her again. She also reminds him he's the only one who can save the girl.
Evaristo doesn't recognize his grandson and thinks he was sent to kill him so he threatens him at gunpoint despite the grandson telling him multiple times who he is. They fight over the gun and it goes off and the grandson is killed. Henchies enter the room. Ev yells at them for letting this guy get so close to him. The henchies tell Ev the dead guy is his grandson. NOW Ev believes it. He takes a moment to pull himself together and tells them he knows that, of course and totally killed him on purpose. Now disappear the body! And Ev goes in his room to cry and rip up his book and mourn his grandson.
Llora wants Valentin to invite his mom to their recital. He doesn't want to and doesn't want to talk about it. The only person he needs is her. *deep and meaningful look* Llora continues trying to mend fences in the Valentin fam b/c he's her only friend (what about foundation friend? You've known her for way longer and she's in more trouble right now than Val what with the embezzling thing and losing her job.) Anyway Llora really cares for Val but Val takes it a step farther than meaningful looks now and tells her he loves her and always will.
Aaand Ramiro walks in. Awkwardness ensues. Val leaves. Llora and Ramiro argue about how each treats Val.
Oh yah Remedios is gonna be ok (don't remember when that info was given but, yeah)

Maribel is pretty upset to learn from Analu that Ramiro not only has a novia but is gonna marry her and she kind of takes it out on the messenger, but she does have a point that its pretty hypocritical of Analu to tell her to give up on a guy whose engaged when Analu is going after a married man.
Santiago visits Remedios - upshot, he's gonna disappear from her life to protect her. (if I had a dollar for every time a stupid tn character said they were going to do this I'd be rich. Still annoyed with this nonsense, but rich) And he's saying goodbye while she's unconscious so he doesn't have to deal w/her crying as well as his own. He leaves and she wakes up and says his name and then drifts off again.
Sole and Chana - Chana thinks Sole should make Analu listen. Sole can't even look her in the eyes to tell her she's not her mom. Well if you don't someone else will. Analu comes over to tell them Remedios will be ok and she and Santi are gonna talk, this time no lies. Sole is all just remember I love you, I know you'll never look at me the same way but I love you.
Chana is all hey! He's gonna tell her everything why aren't you all over this, but Sole knows she'll never have the courage to tell Analu herself and Santi loves her so its better she hear it from him. When/if Analu comes back Sole will be gone. (like left town gone, or dead gone?)

Here's what lets do', *pulls out a camera* She's all 'tacky dude' He goes 'no its not for that, you make a taped confession to killing Jenny so I have some security, something to hold you to your promise' She's all 'what?! are you crazy? No way dude!' He's all 'no, no, its cool, you confess to killing Jenny and then I'll confess to killing Daniel and then we each have something on the other. It'll be great then nobody (probably mostly me) gets betrayed!'
She actually goes for the idea and starts recording her confession but we don't actually see it, just the part where she starts out with 'My name is __ and this is all true'
Later Inaki, after some dutch courage, starts his confession with 'my name is __ and this is how I slowly planned the death of my half brother '
Clawd and TioM discuss how very very much he owes her for helping him find his niece. Its a lot. But she doesn't want money, no, that would be tacky. All she wants is a hug and a very conveniently timed kiss. Sue sees them through the glass walls and stalks off in anger, almost running into TioM's lawyer who hits on her and she says 'you're just like him, a pair of idiots. Hasta Nunca!'
Just a few moments too late, TioM pushes Clawd away and tells her that this time he's gonna be faithful, he doesn't care that they cheated on Jenny together, this is different. She's like 'ppssheayeah right, you can't be monagamous you're not built for it' He's all 'yeah I can' She goes 'k but call me when you change your mind, you know I'll be waiting. byee'
Ram and Llora are still fighting about Val (I'm gonna RPC all this except one line Ram says he doesn't have anybody in his life pretending to be his friend waiting to seduce him and I choke w/laughter Umm, actually...)
Val's drinking and remembering work. Probably the lead up to the infamous accidental, not an accident b/c TioM is telling him to get up on a ladder and fix somping
Avances show maybe Analu finally finds out everything and Llora dressing like a nun

Because he didn't have time to plan Daniel's death slowly. I wonder if HIS confession is actually a lie - perhaps one that can easily be disproved. Then, if AnaLet's confession is true, then he's one up on her. Or if her confession is a lie, at least his is a lie too.

Inaki did have time to plan Dan's death if that was his plan all along from the first moment Julieta asked him to be an organ donor. There was enough time in between for price negotiations, comparability tests, for the check to clear, and for him to buy new furniture. During that time, he could have been planning to off Dan the whole time.

I was wondering about that too Julie and Vivi, it even occurred to me that maybe Inaki had planned for Marcelo to kill Daniel and had goaded him into that beating somehow but my memory isn't good enough to put the pieces together.

Yes it could definitely be Facundo but he still doesn't seem dangerous.!!
And Rodrigo seems somewhat civilized in comparison; however, he might be a really bad guy with a sift façade or he may be the hidden mafioso type guy, pulling all the strings with stealth strings. Where has he been all these years anyway?. He comes across as a disgusting underworld creature. I don't have actors' brilliant teeth but his are just disgusting too look at.

From seeing Rodrigo in his heart to heart with Gramma Ern the other night I didn't see any red flags. While they were sweethearts Gamma's Dad got some chick his daughter's age preggers and blamed it on Rod. Gram believed her Dad and Rod left for Europe (I think) to mend his broken heart. In the process made a lot of money without the distractions of love. So his story goes.

Julie, do we know why Ernestina dumped Rodrigo and what Margarita had to do with it? I just thought her parents disapproved of him because of his lower social standing, so I'm not sure how Margarita fits in.
I guess the writers won't let Ana Luisa go on with the fantasy that she can still love Santiago (with the Pope's blessing) because Mariano is really only her Tío.
Have to pack for my weekend trip out of town, but wanted to check in and say that although last night was all convo, and little mambo, it was still a good epi. I was shocked and sad for Ev killing his grandpup. Also, sad Inaki has gone to the dark side, still reserving hope for a late turnaround. Glad that Tio put it to Santi to tell her the truth since he dragged her thru the mud of not knowing, along w/ Soulless. Surprised Nerpina endorsed Sobad, but I get it after what her kids did. Still waiting on Clawdia to sink her claws into Tio, too bad Viri saw what she saw. Bel's an idiot, her situation is diff in that the guy doesn't love her back & has no clue she even exists. Not to mention, AnaLu & Santi fell in love BEFORE knowing anything about his past for sure, and Santi was cheated on & sought divorce by his "devoted" wife. Ram & AnaLa have a good solid relationship that doesn't need the likes of her & Tin to muddy it all up. Ok, pretty much done venting, but no worries I'm taking you all w/ me on my trip. Will def try to check in & keep up to date w/ everything :)

But he is such an irritant to Ramiro, anything he says and does will be met with annoyance and anger on Ram's part. Can't blame him

Viri is not a favorite of mine but she deserves to be treated with respect. And valued. That will never happen with Mariano. There seems a restlessness and an inability to be emotionally sated that may make him being faithful not possible.
I look forward to Ana Lu's reunion with her family. Soledad can just sail into the sunset...

The world is full of people who are incapable of emotional commitment. They have to want to do something about it and can't be made to. The difference is that it is easier for single people to live alone than in past centuries. Someone with Mariano's money always could and other men admire or envy womanizers like him. Unless he feels a major emotional void he has no motive to reform.
Victoria- It's because Erni's parents, especially her father, disapproved of Rod that Erni's evil papa played a dirty trick to separate them. He had his pregnant lover, Margarita (Soledad's mom), go tell Erni that she was pregnant with Rod's baby. Erni dumped him and refused to believe him, and then married a rich man her parents thought.appropriate. It was just recently that Erni spoke to Rod and actually heard the whole story. He had tracked Margarita down after Erni dumped him and got the whole story out of her, about how her lover, Erni's dad, forced her to lie.
As for Marcelo's fake death, we learned that before he died, Remedio's husband revealed there was someone else helping to keep Marcelo safe from the people out to kill him, and we later learned this mystery person arranged for the corpse that was identified as Marcelo to Have the same tattoo as Marcelo (that's how his body was identified). We have been given no clues who the mystery person is, who according to Chana is Ev's enemy.

Facundo doesn't have any connection to Ev, so it'd be too random. But Edmundo is prob waiting to flip the switch on the man who's been controlling him for so long. Rodrigo is a good second place, it'd be an unexpected twist.
Oh btw, I answered this on yesterday's recap, but I still see ppl mistakenly alluding to the key as being in Evaristo's possession. Marcelo has both keys. The one he took back from Ev (along with his cellphone) when he knocked him out at his hotel before saving Ram, and the key he had threatened Samuel to give back to him.

So what needs to happen is for Marcelo to find the box that those keys fit. I'm thinking that its location was written in Evaristo's notebook.
