Santi wasn't so saintly, and yet somehow
he glows in the dark

Rehash: AnaLu, still in her circus tent, tells Santi that he lied to her and is fooling himself. He denies this, blaming Marky Marc. She tells him to shut it, he's the worst thing that happened to her. She then rips his and her sister's photo and tosses it at him, like the basura he's become. She tells him not to seek her out again. She leaves with the circus tent billowing behind her in the wind. Cue sad music and tears, Santi begs the camera man for forgiveness.

You're either a garbage can,
or a garbage can't!

Recap: AnaLet informs Leonor to pack up the hubster's things for the driver to carry out tomorrow, it's divorce time and she doesn't want Leo to tell Abue. She'll break the news herself. Fac-man overhears and asks to speak alone. AnaLet follows him into the study where he pleads his son is going through difficult times, but she no care that much. She's just following her tio's request. He's always taken care of her, while her hubby betrayed her by floozy-ing it up with her sissy. She knows everything, and tells Fac-man to pack up since he also no longer has any business at their casa.

Solebad opens the door to Ev's bedroom and apologizes for waking him. He doesn't recognize her, thinking her Margarita (the lover, not the drink. Although, Viewerville could use one right about now). Ev is excited to see her, and pats the bed next to him. He thinks he must've done something good to be able to see her again. Sole is saddened by this shadow of the man she once knew. He keeps trying to touch her face, but she made sure to put the stoplight on that. He begins to rant about the abusive man, and family, that he plans to seek revenge on for Marge. Sole becomes hysterical and wants to know who's her daddy. Ev looks confuddled and constipated. He mentions that he needs rest, he recently had a dream about being with Marge, signifying that his death is near. He also declares the he and the U.N. are condemned to hell (Either Ev's confused, or the subtitle editors at Uni are sipping their own margaritas). Sole is insulted at being condemned with the likes of him and exits.

Sole lies down and has a flashback:
AnaLu is recounting how she fell in dance class and everyone laughed at her. Sole finds it odd that AnaLu knows how to roll with the punches and laugh at herself. She tells her to be careful and to always stay a ToysRUs kid, AnaLu thinks her the best mother in the world. Sole sings her the “Please still love me” song. AnaLu's response is to tickle fight (pelea de cosquillas).

I'm a bitter teacup, snort and pout....

Ram comes into his depa to leave Santi a note stating “I'm about to get some. 3 nights of pegging Ms. Peggy. If you need me, here's a fake number to reach me at since I'll be too busy—because I'M ABOUT TO GET SOME”. He then skips-to-my-lube out of there.

Dear Patiohouse...

Santi visits Chana, who's a little too excited to see him at her door (Honey, we don't blame you). Sole goes to hide. She overhears that he told AnaLu the truth and how she feels enojada, enganada, y defrauda (angry, cheated, and disappointed). If she hurt this much from his betrayal, she won't be able to see Sole as her mom. Sole begins to cry silently. (Viewerville sets a cup right under their tv to collect her tears. We toast).

Oh Sweet Sustenance......

AnaLu comes back to the pension and finds the chicken scratch that the chicken-sh!t left her:

When your mother's so clingy, her face
superimposes while you're reading

Ana Lucia, I'm writing you this letter from my blackened heart. I'm disclosing how selfishly aware I am of my own pain. Somebody ratted me out to you. You wanted the 411, but I was a bad operator. I'm a coward. (Viewerville rewinds that last part 3x). I know I fudged up pretty bad, you may not forgive me. I am obsessed love you. I've been controlling taking care of you. If I didn't rescue you, you wouldn't have a life anyway (aka you kinda owe me, beyosh). We need each other (because a leech can't survive without your blood to suck on). You're my little captive girl. I even reallocated my love for Sofia to you (because recycled love is the purest!). That's why you're my replacement daughter. Now I'm paying the price after getting you for the discounted cost of $Free.99 ...I was afraid to lose you (yeah, to the family who lost her first, you heartless wench!). I gave everything (no, you stole everything. She could be on a yacht, right now. A YACHT!). Please forgive me, and remember the moments we shared (aka this is my last ditch effort at activating years of Stockholm Syndrome). You'll always be mine, goodbye forever. Your adoring owner mother. (Viewerville is miffed and mentally burns the note).

What is this? A newspaper from the 1920s?

AnaLu goes through the chest of secrets, and finds all the newspaper clippings of her accident. She reads and falls asleep crying on top of them. She travels into the world of Inception, waking up in a dream as a young girl in her bedroom. Sole comes in, but AnaLu denies her parentage. She then wakes up into another dream where she tells her real mama, Lourdes, that she had a nightmare that she wasn't her mom. Lourdes consoles her daughter. But AnaLu wakes up for real this time, to find the nightmare is real. (Viewerville blames the clown tent, nothing good can come from being inside one).

Is this real life?

Sole is heading out, but Chana wants to know if she plans to find AnaLu. Chana thinks she should lay low, otherwise she'll get caught by the police. She has to face the consequences for her crime. Sole tells Chana to watch her own back and reminds her of her complicity in this, if she goes down then Chana and Evaristo go down with her. (May the fleas of a thousand burros infect her armpits, and may her hands be cuffed too low to scratch!)

Oily sees the cops checking out his Grease-mobile. He heads in the otra direction.

The Ghoul and the Clown,
it's about to go down!

Cops leave Ghoulieta's house, as Tadeo drops in. They questioned her about the circumstances of Daniels' death. Tadeo came to warn her to stay away from his boys. She thinks they're hers too, only he reminds her that she lost that privilege when she abandoned them to become "a lady of societal class, or better yet, deplorable trash" (Una señora de sociedad, o mejor dicho, de suciedad, aka grime). She shows him an old family drawing of Inaki's, showing she always kept them in her heart. Tadeo thinks it's too late, she made the choice to live a life she doesn't even like. She asks for another chance to redeem herself, but he'll only believe her if she renounces all her money and luxuries (dinero y lujos).

How do we know he didn't draw that
for her last week?

Nerina informs Remedios that her daughter Claudia is to blame for letting the cat out of the bag (descubrió el pastel, aka uncover the cake). AnaLu is confused and Sole is in trouble. Rem looks at Nerp from her hospital bed, like “what do you expect me to do, I can't do nada for them”. (Seriously, does Nervina wear her wig too tight or do disabilities evade her eyes sometimes?).

Look, here's an imaginary picture of her.
Now here's me kissing her goodbye!

AnaLu stops by the hospital and asks Nerina if her mom is around. Nope, Sole dipped out last night and hasn't returned. AnaLu relieves Nerina, and goes to stay with Rem. Rem senses her distress and figures she knows the truth. AnaLu confirms this and begins crying. She discusses the cowardly goodbye letter, and that she hoped to find one reason or justification, but found nothing. Rem asks her not to talk badly of her mother. AnaLu rejects Sole as her mother. Rem holding tight to the idea of maternidad sin sangre, insists that she is. She did everything for her, but AnaLu says that nobody asked her. Ironically, she then uses the puppy analogy her evil triplet used, that she was merely a pet (una mascota) for Sole. Sole knew her desperate family was searching, and instead kept secrets. She belts out Taylor Swift “Never, ever getting back together” and says she'll never, ever forgive her.

She not only sheds some skin, she sheds snakeskin.

Inaki almost gets run over by AnaLet (based on her previous scorecard, this woman should not be allowed near a wheel). She enters a fancy house dressed for a Paula Abdul music video. She got the viejo estupido to agree to buy the house, in cash. for AnaLu. Inaki reveals that he's met him before, when her uncle tried to buy some of his coastal land, so the viejo estupido should be loaded. AnaLet throws her hands up as to why he always tells her these things last-minute (por que siempre todo me lo dices a cuentagotas, aka in tiny drops). Inaki says maybe it's better the greedy guy finally gets Ana Lucia (Le gana la codicia, por fin va a tener a Ana Lucia). And when he realizes he's actually got nada, he'll be so mad that AnaLet finishes the sentence, "he'll kill her".

It's a Kodak Moment

Ram and Ana Laura arrive at their hotel. The hotel clerk is having trouble finding their reservation for 2 bedrooms. It turns out Ernestina had something more intimate in mind by reserving only one room. Ram is perfectly fine whipping out the plastic to book another room. (Really? You two could've just stayed home then.) Ana Laura gives him a tiny peck as her sign of appreciation, she is happy peaking this hand-holding romance by keeping the hand-roaming on hold (She even has Viewerville feeling sexually frustrated. We've become alliterate!).

Here's looking at you, Plan B

Santi drops by Mariano's office to pick up his new coloring book: his divorce papers. He doesn't know how to sign Marcelo's name, so Mariano gives him an ink pad (cojin para huellas dactillares) to fingerpaint all over the documents. Mariano assures him that his fingerprint is more iron-clad than a signature. Santi wants to know what he plans to do with Sole. Mariano says it's none of his busy-bodiedness. Santi hopes he won't separate them, and is certain AnaLu will forgive Sole once she hears her out. Santi wants to chit-chat with AnaLet, he feels bad for taking her from everything that mattered. Her last name, her family, a proper driving instructor, etc. Mariano assures him he'll look after her. Santi worries how Marc will react, he can already feel him boiling underneath. Mariano urges him to fight for control, in order to protect his nieces. Santi only knows one way: to kill him. He then explains the news of his tumor, and his declining the surgery. When Mariano asks why, Santi pulls out the lollipop from his mouth long enough to shrug and say “Because I no wanna”.

How to keep children busy, when your office
doesn't come with daycare

Ceci tells Viri that her boy-toy has been trying to reach her. Viri tells Ceci she's through with Mariano, she even blocked his number (bloquee su numero). Sole comes through and Viri tells her she's late again. Sole apologizes but she only came to thank her and pick up her check, because she's no longer going to be working there. While Viri goes to get the money, Ceci attempts one last gossip session with Sole. Sole won't reveal the reason she's leaving, just that it's personal. They exchange sentimental feelings about their friendship and give thanks. Viri hands the money over, and also attempts to pry a little tea. Ceci tells her not to bother, Sole is a vault (No kidding, just ask her daughter). Viri tries to convince her to stay and that she can count on her, but Sole made up her mind. Besides Viri will learn soon enough, she goes off to grab her things. All of a suddenly, the cops show up to inquire into the whereabouts of Solebad. Ceci runs upstairs to warn Sole she needs to get out of there, 5-0 is after her! Solebad looks stricken with fear. (Viewerville is already fantasizing the mugshot).

Lo siento, you guys. Tried last night, and tried again today. Just can’t get myself up to it. Still exhausted from the trip, so I plan to try to keep it short & sweet, in spite of us all feeling a bit salty with this TN. Here's to you, Patio! <swigs a Red Bull>....

Comments:
Welcome back, Anna. If you are too tired to recap, don't force yourself. Life happens. And not a lot happened this episode anyway.

Funniest moment-- Ramiro and Ana Laura at the hotel check-in, going back and forth about whether Abue booked a second room. Ramiro thought it was funny too.

Oh amiga, I've already written it. I just meant I'm not feeling particularly snarky or playful today. But thank you. Just fixing errors and doing font color. Will do screenshots mas luego, as usual :)

Anna- You are amazing. Looking forward to it. Now, get some rest!

I look forward to your recap when it comes, but take your time. You add so much to the conversation-going above and beyond. Believe me, it is greatly appreciated.

It looked like Santi shared the info about his tumor with Tio last night. Did Rem tell AnaLu? If so, hope one of them can convince him to have the surgery.

Virginia- The previews showed that Rem is going to tell AnaLu, but no, she didn't do it this episode. Yes, SantMarc did tell Mariano. Mariano is so caught up in his irrational hate and distrust for SantMarc, that I'm not sure he would push THAT hard for SantMarc to get the surgery. His initial, human, reaction was indeed to tell him to get the surgery though.

Don't worry, Anna. I know how exhausting recapping can be. That's why I'm on hiatus for now.

Ana Lucia really took quite a blow with all this. First Santiago revealing that he was married to her sister and she wouldn't believe he is an amnesia victim, then discovering the newspaper clippings about her disappearance. The letter from SoleBad didn't help that, either.

I'm trying to figure out if the actress playing Lourdes in her dream was the same one in the accident flashback.

Love Tadeo's confrontation with Julieta. Both of them are in for a world of hurt over Inaki and neither sees it coming.

What I predicted came to pass, which was that Santiago is not planning to have the surgery; he just effectively told Mariano that he's going to crawl away and die. I'm sure Mariano doesn't really give a damn. What we all have to hope for is for Facundo to find out and get a wake-up call. Or for Ana Lucia to run looking for Santiago because despite the argument and her saying she never wanted to see him again, she does love him.

Urban- Yes, it's the same actress.

Anna, Loved your title -- this was a bit of a letdown despite all the sorrow that so many people were experiencing.
I look forward to your recap whenever it comes and whatever the tone.

I was glad to see our lovebirds on their trip, now with two rooms thanks to Ramiro's credit card. Abue is trying her best to get these two together. I certainly hope that they can have their three days of peace and passion.

For all of her smarts, AnaLe's plan seems pretty far-fetched. Does she know enough about Isidro to assume that he would kill AnaLu? I expected something more nefarious from her.

Yes, Urban, the scene between Julieta and Tadeo was very sad and these parents, estranged from Inaki in different ways, don't have any idea. I still wonder what role Inaki is going to have in the Isidro-AnaLu plot. Providing the address isn't much and Orlando may give that to AnaLe. Still some uncertainty in this plot line. On the other hand, Inaki's role in Daniel's death -- now immortalized on tape -- is enough to do him in.

Mariano is acting generally in a humane and mature way, better than I might have expected from him. Now to cure his blindness in regard to AnaLe.

Lots to resolve that will be dragged out as much as possible to make those last couple of episodes super exciting.

I don't think Ana MeMeME needs to know anything more specific about Isidro. She is old enough to have encountered dirty old men in her life and intelligent enough to know what they're about.

The fact that he was fishing to find out whether Ana Lucia is a virgin would have to be a red flag to her -- or any woman -- that this is a man who sees women as possessions. Thanks to Inaki she knows now that they're from the same town and that Ana Lucia comes off as virginal. She might realize that Isidro likely knew Ana Lucia for the past 20 years. She should be seriously creeped out by this, but she is in hot pursuit of an uncle who knows her even longer. Could this be the gateway to her own realization that her obsession with Mariano is just as sick?

Looking forward to the recap. I tried as best I could to follow along, but I felt that I was drowning in words. I totally zoned out during Soledad's letter and have no idea if there was a single word or hint of remorse in it.

But I do know that looking at the newspaper clippings would have torn my heart out. I'm amazed that AnaLu isn't demanding to meet her family immediately. Even if it is scary to think about seeing these people she's been separated for so long, she's a very brave and curious woman and I would think she'd be dying to see them ASAP, SantiMarc be damned.

So, what is Soledad going to do? Sneak out the window? LOL...

Julie- Although there was a 'perdoname' at the end of Sol's long letter, there wasn't any real remorse or acknowledgement of the harm she caused AnaLu's family all these years. There was lots of blah blah about how much she loves AnaLu-- as if that makes kidnapping ok. Remedios tried the same blah blah and I was glad to see AnaLu shut her down. Seeing all those articles, that Sol had been hiding for years, that detailed how anguished her family was in their search for her, really put the nail in the coffin. But I'm sure she will fight for Sol when she learns Mariano has raised charges against her. But it really, really burns me that Sol never acknowledges the real pain and damage she caused. It's all about HER needs, HER love for AnaLu, how SHE loved and cared for AnaLu all these years.

Urban - I do agree that to know Isidro is to know a type that is possessive and an egoist to the max. And certainly it adds to the drama for AnaLe to get the picture quickly, with the aid of Inaki. We will see -- it is a novela -- but still strikes me as a stretch to set him up this way to do the deed. She is one smart cookie, but she is going to see some walls tumbling down in the coming weeks and wrinkles in the plan at earlier stages may be many and varied. It is fun to watch Isidro falling into the trap and knowing still that one way or another AnaLu will survive in the end.

How interesting if this would be the gateway to some realizations on AnaLe's part. Everything in this novela is about parallel situations (like many novelas!) so could very well be.

BTW, I wish that Remedios had had a little more compassion for AnaLu in her "I hate my mother" stage. On the other hand, Remedios is in the hospital recovering from a gunshot wound . . . .

Oh wow, great comments everyone. My eyes were drifting really bad this past hour, but this convo perked me up. RECAP is up, and will return to respond to this discussion for sure!

But first, on to the screenshots!

Good question. I doubt that the restroom even has a window she can climb out of. She may have to submit to the arrest. Which SantMarc did not agree with but Mariano didn't care.

During SoleBad's scene with Evaristo I thought he would reveal who her father was, but that may not happen for a few more episodes yet. I predict that Evaristo's end will be dragged out until the final week and this will be a deathbed confession.

I'm not surprised that Ana Lucia isn't demanding to see her sisters right away. Facing Ana MeMeME will be the most difficult thing of all knowing that they were involved with the same man. That is creepy even in view of SantMarc's split personality situation. Ana Lucia doesn't seem to know that there was a pending divorce request prior to Marcelo's disappearance from Ana MeMeME's life.

BTW, although this doesn't affect our characters the Muslim faith does not permit a man to be married to two sisters at the same time. I don't know whether the Q'uran states any reason for this (the Surah about women has nothing in the translation I found), but I'd love to hear an explanation.

Remedios would still be doped up with pain meds at this point, so I'll cut her some slack. Ana Lucia's reactions are normal for her situation and Remedios might have seen the parallels between herself and SoleBad. However, how much did she know about Marcelo Savaterra at the time of the attempt on his life? Did she know the source of the danger? I don't think so. She just knew she was protecting a man young enough to be her own son (Nothing was said about the character's age but I don't think he's meant to be more than 30) and maternal feelings kicked in.

Off to read the recap.

Gracias, Anna. Good work. You can put strike-throughs in text in the editor for the article post although I don't think the < > works in the comments section.

Ghoulieta give up her luxuries? I doubt it. That is all she has now and if her husband had any pride he'd take as much of that away as he legally can. I'm really annoyed that there was no follow-up on this. She just might lose her marbles completely when she finds out that Inaki killed Daniel.

How did Ana MeMeME sell Isidro the house and why were we not in on that? And if Mariano helped in that deal how did Isidro not see photos of Ana MeMeME and Ana Laura on his desk? This is a head-scratcher.

I agree that SoleBad's letter was very self-serving. She needs a dose of reality and I think that will happen tonight. I can't see her escaping from the police, since they sent more than two to arrest her. There could be others waiting outside.

Thanks Urban, I caught that. If you refresh you should see it's fixed now. The strikethroughs were done in my word document. I forgot all about editing them after I copy-pasted. Saw a few other errors I missed, so I'm glad I reviewed it one more time. Doesn't help I'm super sleepy *drinks another Bull* Ah, better.

Oh well I'm not a Muslim, but I have family members who are. This is the surah I believe you're looking for “Forbidden to you (for marriage) are: … two sisters in wedlock at the same time, except for what has already passed” [al-Nisaa’ 4:23]. From what I remember while living overseas, the man can't marry ANYONE without getting the first wife's consent. If the wife isn't ok with it, then the man can't go through with it. Clearly, nobody in Islam got the memo. And I find it odd, that the prophet was forbidding this and that, and then goes off to marry his son's ex-wife. It was at that point that he changed the rule that adopted sons are not really family. This ruined the rights of fostered-orphans and adoptees for centuries. Anywho, there's a funny Egyptian telenovela that I used to watch with captions that showed a guy who kept marrying a new wife and the reactions of the original wives were always a hoot. It was such a good plot, I wonder if I could write a spanish version of it. Maybe set it in Spain around the time of the Moors.

Thanks, Anna. Your being tired did not dampen your wit at all. :) I liked your take on Sol's letter. When she basically told Chana to shut up because if she's going down, Chana is coming too, I wanted to slap her. Ugh! I can't believe the writers are going to give this woman a happy ending.

Really? Well, I wasn't fully conscious for most of it so you can give credit to my ID or subconscious lol. I really, really hope Sole gets some comeuppance. I'm sure the writers will let her get away with it, but I keep hoping that if I speak it into existence enough, it'll happen. Maybe they have her save Erne's life with a kidney, then we can hope she's stuck in the hospital with a coma of nightmares for a few years before she goes scot-free.

Anna, I found that Surah, but it doesn't give a reason. I've read elsewhere that a Muslim can divorce a wife and marry her sister after that divorce, but it doesn't explain why he can't be married to both sisters at once. From a social perspective it still doesn't sound like a good idea, though.

No matter; we know that Ana MeMeME is going down eventually. It's just a question of how.

I am predicting that SoleBad will be arrested tonight and will probably be in lock-up until the revelation about her parentage. Ernestina will then get her out and persuade the law to drop the charges. Or it doesn't legally count as kidnapping if the "kidnapper" is a blood relative. That would not surprise me.

Urban I don't believe there's a contract secured for the house. AnaLet is basically using the house to test if 1. He's indeed rich and 2. See how far he'll go to win Ana Lucia. That's why Inaki confessed he knew the guy, and that he's indeed rich. The house will most likely be bought b/c he's dying to get her a place he can rendezvous to.

Videos are acting up again, screenshots will have to wait until I can download one that has better control. Paciencia, por favor :)

Thanks Anna! Sole makes my blood boil!!! Going to jail? Couldn't happen to a more worthy recipient! (well it could but...;)

Rem is confusing her situation with Santi for Sole's. Sole purposefully kept AnaLu from her family. Rem took care of a hurt individual with no memory. Big difference.

I missed the last half hour of the show. Looking forward to seeing the hotel scene with AnaLau and Ram. Gosh girl just give it up to the hunk! He wants you, have some fun!!

I can't see Isidro murdering AnaLu, I mean he's pretty old and AnaLu is strong from her acrobatics. A gun would do the trick but I can't see the geezer pulling the trigger. I can see him having a heart attack if AnaLet just took off her clothes for him. But ewwww!

Thank you, Ana, for a fun recap!

I laughed when Facundo told Ana Leticia that she cared more for what her uncle Mariano thought than what her own husband did. If he only knew what we know . . .

Loved that granny reserved a single room for Ana Laura and Ramiro.

It will be interesting seeing Ana Leticia put her plan into effect for Isidro and Ana Lucía now that the condo has been bought.

So what will be the catalyst for Santiago/Marcelo to get his surgery since he is determined to just die?

Looks like Soledad's number is up unless there is a back door and she can run real fast. LOL

Oh gotcha, well according to one site: In many other Aayahs of the Quran, Allah has commanded to respect and revere the blood-relationships which Allah has created for mankind. And if two sisters are married to the same man, it may be that they would compromise the sacredness of their blood-relationship to each other in their natural competition and jealousy for the attention of their husband, which would directly affect their relationship as sisters. In our humble opinion that seems the most probable wisdom behind the command to forbid a believing man to marry two sisters at one and the same time.

You're right, I don't buy it either. Jealousy isn't anymore apparent in blood-relations of sisters than they are in those of cousins or friends. It would make more sense if they used the question of inheritance. In order to maintain an equal sharing of wealth, a father shouldn't have to give his inheritance to 2 daughters, only to have them share it with the same husband. And if that's the case, then the surah should place a clause to remedy that (like husbands should only be able to inherit the wealth of one sibling, rather than to remove the marriage right altogether). So the reasoning is quite simple: it just isn't there.

I can see him having a heart attack if AnaLet just took off her clothes for him. But ewwww!

That would be amusing, indeed, and worth losing one's lunch. Isidro is such a perv, though, that I could see him trying to stab. The phallic imagery of a knife that compensates for what he can't do anymore, although a gun would likely be more efficient unless he gets a heart attack in the midst of the attempt and misses altogether.

I laughed when Facundo told Ana Leticia that she cared more for what her uncle Mariano thought than what her own husband did. If he only knew what we know . . .

Maybe he will figure it out. It's rather odd that Ana MeMeME has had this obsession for so long and nobody has noticed. Viridiana seems to have gotten a clue but since she hasn't exploded in outrage or disgust she hasn't quite had the light bulb moment.

Anna, the jealousy angle is what I thought it would be. While it isn't necessarily any more intense than between two unrelated women jealousy between sisters would disrupt the entire family in a worse way because it would also affect the sisters' family of origin. That could get very messy, indeed.

Thank you, Anna! Soledad's letter was even more unsatisfactory than I expected. It really comes down to "finders keepers" in her mind.

Regarding the two sisters married to the same man, I would think the real risk would be that the sisters could end up plotting against their husband!

I had forgotten that Ana Laura was out of town (so she could sleep in a different room than Ram, in a more exotic setting), so AnaLu couldn't meet her today even if she wanted to. Oh well...

Thank you Anna for this stellar recap! I would have had no idea you were not feeling well if you hadn't said. This was top notch quality!

I had already written a comment but it got lost in trying to sign in :( but I have to tell you that you had me holding in my laughs while at work.

My favorite line, Ramiro's note for Santi: "“I'm about to get some. 3 nights of pegging Ms. Peggy. If you need me, here's a fake number to reach me at since I'll be too busy—because I'M ABOUT TO GET SOME”. He then skips-to-my-lube out of there."

LOVED!

Lily

Thanks so much Anna for the wonderful recapping, you are so very entertaining! I was going into full withdrawal on Monday because of being pre-empted.

I was surprised that Ana Laura decided on separate rooms. Did she do that for herself (because she isn't ready) or to be able to tell her grandmother that they stayed in separate rooms?

I was wondering why San/Marc wouldn't sign with his signature and did a fingerprint instead? Something about not wanting to sign or he wasn't able to sign with a signature that looked like the Marcelo signature? Handwriting can't change that much just because of going by a different name. But this is a novela. :)

Cynthia- Abue WANTED them to stay in the same room and booked only one room. Ana Laura knows Abue is supportive of her and Ram getting busy-- remember that talk they had way back when Ana Lau first mentioned the weekend away. The second room is all about HER insecurities about Ram seeing her naked and without her prosthesis.

I know my signature isn't like my handwriting. We develop our signature over years, and it's usually slightly illegible and very unique. Santi just doesn't remember how he signed things as Marcelo.

Anna - If this is you tired . . . . I went to a yoga class after reading your recap and couldn't concentrate on the impossible poses because I was giggling at several of your choice lines. Fabulously clever recap.

The Stockholm Syndrome is so right for Soledad's efforts to keep AnaLu in the fold. I loved your description of Ramiro's thoughts and plans prior to his discovery that it's two rooms after all and he will be paying for one of them! ( There is a hilarious episode of Frasier when Niles tells his brother to get away from a woman who is trouble. His line: Run fast, run far. I want to shake Ramiro and give him that piece of sage advice. It ain't going to be easy with AnaLau!)

I loved Tadeo's like about la suciedad. Perfect response to Ghoulieta.

Evaristo looking " confuddled and constipated" is perfect. The man can't die in peace as long as Soledad is on the loose.

"“I'm about to get some. 3 nights of pegging Ms. Peggy. If you need me, here's a fake number to reach me at since I'll be too busy—because I'M ABOUT TO GET SOME”. He then skips-to-my-lube out of there."

AnaBanana, you are verrry naughty. I'm glad Lily didn't get in trouble for laughing at work. But that WAS one hilarious line. I'm willing to bet they'll end up in the same room and same bed at some point over the weekend. But Ramiro gets points for not insisting on it. His willingness to wait until she's ready is the best aphrodisiac there is.

Another superb recap evidently done under post trip exhaustion conditions...one would never know if you hadn't mentioned it.

Thanks Over-Achiever. By the way, our son, who was recently diagnosed with severe ulcerative colitis, is now eating vegan along with us. Hope it helps.

Judy B -- Off topic. So sorry to hear about your son's diagnosis. My mother has suffered with colitis for many years, bringing us into contact with other many fellow sufferers. It's hard to find the right eating pattern, but that seems to matter a lot. Good, good luck with the vegan alternative. It's such a healthy alternative (I am not quite there, no meat or eggs but still eat low-fat dairy products), and it makes good sense.

You are so right about Ramiro deserving points, even as we chuckle at Anna's hilarious take on the poor guy's plans. I still think they are.bit of a mismatch, but have come to really like his character and admire his patience and David Zepeda's performance.

Anna, what a marvelous recap. Your "tired" is more than the best from most. Wonderful.

I smiled at "Marky Marc" and so many other lines.

"Sole sings her the “Please still love me” song. AnaLu's response is to tickle fight (pelea de cosquillas)". For some odd reason, I was happy to see that there was at least one instance that Soledad and Ana Lu actually shared love and laughter. Soledad always seemed so austere and humorless, it was refreshing to see she wasn't always that way. However, I'm sure her fear of being caught squelched most of the joy from her relationship with her "daughter". Afraid of repercussions is what struck fear in her heart, not guilt or even remorse. Agree that the "I'm sorry" did not constitute an apology of any sort.

"Viewerville is miffed and mentally burns the note". Yes, you nailed it Anna.

The second saddest scene of the night was Julieta and Tadeo. The realization she is now seeking her son only as her favorite died is cringe worthy. For a second, I felt sorry when I saw Inaki's drawing that she saved. But is a bit of nostalgia any repentence for abandoning your children?? "She thinks they're hers too, only he reminds her that she lost that privilege when she abandoned them to become "a lady of societal class, or better yet, deplorable trash" (Una señora de sociedad, o mejor dicho, de suciedad, aka grime). I agree with Tadeo. Well said.

I so enjoyed Ana Let telling "...Fac-man to pack up since he also no longer has any business at their casa". Excellent! Good riddance to bad garbage.

And Ana Lu. I can't imagine her pain. She lost her mother and the love of her life simultaneously. Not to mention, she learned that her family life has been a lie and that she has been deceived her entire life. Thankfully, this is TN land and either she and/or Santi will seek each other out shortly and reconcile.

Anna, thank you! We are so fortunate to have you.

Diana

Ana Laura is terribly insecure and Ana MeMeME is responsible for that. I hope that there will be time for Ana Lucia to let her evil sister have it over how she treated Ana Laura.

There had to have been some light in Ana Lucia's life for her to be the way she is. SoleBad probably worried for a while after finding her, then stopped after a year or so, then got scared again when Marcelo arrived three years prior to the opening episode (It must be almost a year later now). Tonight I think will be realization of her other worst fear.

I'm having a tough time deciding how this will be resolved so that Ana Lucia and Ana Laura don't end up basket cases at the end when their sister meets her Karmageddon. We all know that Ernestina and Mariano will be shocked to the core. Ramiro, Nerina, SoleBad, Clawdia, Viridiana, and Leonor will not be surprised; Ramiro will have his own issues to deal with when the truth of his father's embezzlement comes to light and Nerina will have to deal with whatever happens to her children. Facundo may or may not be shocked based on what happens in the next two episodes. I'd like to see him have a major light bulb moment and turn the corner from where he was headed.

There are so many outstanding issues yet.

Anna, wonderful. And so many great comments.

Been one of those day where I can't take five to check on my sanity site until now...

As you all pointed out, AnaLu broke my heart last night. I actually found it strangely compelling that Soledad left her the box of articles which clearly stated that there was a real family out there searching for this child she kept and she continued to hide all those years out of selfishness. I can't help but feel that Soledad really doesn't get that what she did was WRONG, hiding behind the fact she loved this child she kept and that should make it all ok. As you pointed out Vivi, the letter to AnaLu kept to that same "Woe is me" vain and that AnaLu should forgive because hey we were a happy family...that doesn't make it all right and I want her to say that.

UA, I am on your wavelength as well trying to figure out from where we are right now, how do we get the requisite pink bows for the main sisters who have been caught in the middle of this duplicity and the evil sister? Either we are going to get a big surprise, and Llora and AnaLu find each other and move on alone, or we need a big fast forward to let wounds heal. I can't abide where just to end a show, suddenly everyone is fine and happy and healed just to get to the end. This is one story where that would ring sooo false.

And my guess is maybe the sisters will be kept in the dark on the worst of AnaLoon's behavior. If she looses it and has to be committed, that may be enough of a shock to them and Mariano (he is the one who truly needs to find out), Santi and Ram will just keep her deeds under wraps from them and Abue. Inaki every day seems to not be destined to make it to the end...or he'll die taking AnaLoon down when she betrays him. (Though I think she's actually falling for screwed up guy.)

And lord help us, we still have too many sub plots to tie up too in so short a time. Can we put Tin, Claws and Oily in a car and just drive it over a cliff. That would their story up.

Thanks Traveling Lady. I doubt that he will stick to a strictly vegan alternative, but for now he is, and with the prednisone, he's feeling great.

Screenshots are up!! Yay, finally! On to the comments :D

Thanks, Anna. Hope you get some rest after your trip, but your exhaustion sure doesn’t show up in your recap. Terrific job. Your whole He [Ramiro] then skips-to-my-lube out of there was my favorite.

So Ram wrote a note to Santi instead of just phoning him? Makes me wonder if somebody’s going get that note and crash Ram’s party.

ITA with everybody about Soledad’s long, me-me-me letter. She’d have done better to leave the treasure box with a note that said simply, “I love you. Forgive me.”

Anna- Thanks for the screenshots and fun captions. I had forgotten (for personal mental health reasons) those pants AnaLet was wearing last night. Ay yay yay! Where does a person even find pants like that?

She probably skinned the snakes personally.

Good screen shots, Anna, especially SoleBad's prison portrait.

Niecie, one has to wonder if Ana MeMeME will enter Ramiro's abode and find that note. There was a close-up of it after he finished, so it has to mean that somebody will find it and that somebody is unlikely to be SantMarc.

I don't think that either Ramiro or SantMarc knows about the bedsheet action between Ana MeMeME and Inaki. Therefore I don't think that either of our good guys knows they can't trust Inaki. Either Ana Loon or Inaki could find that note. Inaki is unlikely to do anything except casually mention this to Ana Loon, but she could take the time to go to the resort and mess things up for Ramiro and Ana Laura.

OMG, Anna, I laughed and laughed once you put the screenshots in. You are so creative.

ViVi said: "Where does a person even find pants like that?"

Aerosol aisle. Rustoleum Gunmetal Glitter. Shake before use.

Oh My Stars!! I LOVE the screen shots...that little kid with the "delicious tears" just made my day. And yes, I can get behind the Soledad behind bars idea, but alas, I am convinced the writers want us to sympathize with her and give her a break. Someone needs to slap these writers silly--great PSA, go on, kidnap a child and as long as you raise them and be nice to them, everyone is suppose to forgive them for messing up the life they should have had with their REAL families. Perfect.

You know, when AnaLoon goes down, I bet we are going to see an outfit that will put all this get ups to shame. Each one has been progressively weirder and more revealing then the next...can not wait for the fateful anvil outfit.

Laugh all you want about ole Inskidro girls. The pharmacies here in Florida are selling as much Viagra as they can truck in. Every day there is some page three story about Grampa and Gramma getting caught behind the shuffleboard court. It may not be pretty, but neither were AnaLet's sprayed on pants, which were almost as hideous as her Frankendress.

Sorry, got stuck on a call. Ok, before I start the responses, I need to give a shout out to Viri. If I had room, I would've placed a screenshot of her. Tio is missing out big time, she looked gorgeous yesterday! Oh and Inaki & AnaLet's Kodak Moment is going to be my new bedside photo, it looks like the kind you get with the frame. Love their growing romance, even if they are despicable.

Virginia Thanks for noticing! I do like to go a bit more into detail, just b/c I know parts of the convo get lost in translation for some of you. Sorry today wasn't one of those recaps.

Urban I don't remember AnaLu accusing Santi of not being a real amnesiac. Might need to rewatch, but yes LOVE Tadeo's confrontation w/ Ghoulish! He's my fave secondary character! So much so, still haven't made him a profile on the Redux. I want it to be just right.

Traveling I know! I was hoping the writers would be creative in her scheming, but as I mentioned in another thread, AnaLet isn't really cunning. She just likes to think she is. Oh and I totally went into fits of giggles too, when I went to uh ...water the porcelain bowl. I kept picturing Ram's face during the hotel fiasco!

Julie I'm with you. I zoned out for most of it. The dialogue wasn't entertaining. It took a few red bulls to find a spark of snark lol. And I think Viri will send the police away, then have a serious talk with Sole.

Vivi Agree, that letter wasn't sincere in any way that reflects remorse. She continued her manipulating mantra until the ink dried. And Ana Let doesn't buy pants, she paints on her clothes.

Anna Nabil You fantastic little sleepy wench, you!

Carvivlie Yes, and that's what irritates me! Rem (a good woman) compares herself to this kidnapper. All this sympathy she has for her makes no sense. Even with all the love Sole's given, she did it in the worst possible way. If the daughter is wise enough to see it, then surely Rem shouldn't be so naive.

Jarifa Me too, glad Erne is laid-back so there's no excuses for Ana LawdHelpMe. I think Viri telling Sole she can count on her was a bit of foreshadowing that she'll help her evade the cops somehow.

Lily Yay so happy you enjoyed! And ha, I hold no guilt for your laughing fit at work. Serves you right for peeking during office hours *gives you a high five behind her back* :P

JudyB Over-achiever? *puts hands to chest* Moi? I doth protest ;) I can't let YOU down, now can I? Ugh, dabbit, I knew I'd get in trouble for the lube, but I just had to do it! He was that ridiculously happy, the poor thing. GASP, oh no! That's horrible news, but glad you're being proactive. Here's hoping he gets better! I just recently recruited an old school friend. She facebook'ed me asking for info, and now she's armed and vegan-gerous!

Diana D'aw *blushes* I'm just as lucky to have such great amigos here! Ok I'll admit, I did secretly think it was cute they had such a fun relationship. We might've been more sympathetic to her if the writers started us off w/ that stuff. But when the scene switched to Sole crying on the bed, my sentiments darkened again. She really needs to lighten up.

Daisy LMAO you always have a way of cracking me up. Yes, let's put them in an uber and set it aflame. I'll bring the marshmallows, if you bring graham crackers. I gave up on any PSA from this TN. All the parents are screwed up. Kids aren't much better. I hope AnaLoon's outfit involves the dog collar again, just so we have a visual noose :P

Niecie Yes agree! Sincerity is best offered with clarity and brevity. And I think Ram wanted to tell him in person. Plus, I guess calling to brag about the end of his drought would've been tacky. Oh I wish, there's another site I volunteer for, so I probably won't rest til Friday. But I plan on snoozing the whole weekend, so I'm bright-eyed and bushy tailed for you all by next Tues!!

Cynthia Yay! Then I did my job :)

TOA Ha, I just mentioned her painted-on attire! Viagra? I think ISINdro is gonna need a tranquilizer dart, seeing how stir-crazy he gets around these girls.

Banana Nabilsco I just read your recap for the third time. May I politely ask what planet are you from? Are you happy with us earthlings. (IE: Are you staying?) Please do... It just would not be the same without you.

I want Ram and Peg to arrive back from their Laycation with Peg looking more like AnaLucia all of a sudden and Ram looking.......t i r e d. Wanna see the look on AnaBarf and Grannie's faces. Ja Ja.

toa

LMBO @ my new name! Where am I from? Uhhh, according to my shirt tag, I'm "Made in Heaven" hahaha. Wait, are you adopting me? If so, please, please, please let that be my new name! But si, I agree that they need to just get it on so she can get over her fears already. At the very least, she needs to give him a leg up :P I'll just pause right here for that pun to process....
