A Que No Me Dejas #28 - ALL The Cats Are Out of ALL The Bags

Ines wants Elisa to leave. She’s not feeling well but Elisa keeps egging her on about how Gonzalo lied about divorcing Ines and marrying Monica and went so far as lying about her health. Ines wants Elisa to leave and she finally agrees. As she is leaving, Paulina comes in and asks what she’s doing there. Suddenly, Ines faints and hits the ground. Paulina goes to help her and Elisa runs out.

Adrian asks who came by and Odette tells him it was Paulina. He asks what she wanted and she tells she doesn’t know but it doesn’t do him good to see her. Adrian tells her she’s reminding her of his sister: she’s obsessive about him. Adrian tells her to never again decide for him or meddle in his life. He leaves, bothered by her actions.

The doctor tells Julieta that if she goes to therapy and behaves well she can get out faster. Julieta finally agrees and then the doctor asks what happened with her father…Julieta tells that her father’s death caused her great pain. He left her and Adrian alone…he stopped living after he lost all his money.

In his office, Adrian questions why Paulina came. He gives her a call but hangs up immediately. He thinks she’s with Camilo.

In Gonzalo’s office, Nuria is fuming. He comes in and she tells him that she knows everything about his affair and demands he force Monica and the kids to leave Puerto Esperanza. Gonzalo tells her to mind her own business but Nuria warns him that if he doesn’t listen to her she will tell her mom everything and tell Paulina he put Adrian in jail. She’s not willing to share any of her inheritance with them. She storms out afterward.

As the ambulance takes Ines away, Chelo tells Paulina that her and Beto heard everything but weren’t sure what to do. Paulina tells them that everything is true but she never expected her mom to react like this. Paulina then asks them to tell Raquel and Karen what happened and Chelo says she’ll take care of Mauricio. Paulina leaves.

Flavio brings Karen flowers and tells her he was dying to see her. Karen tells him that she has never received so many flowers and shares the news that she’s talking to Paulina again; everything has been resolved between them. Flavio isn’t too happy. He tells her that a betrayal isn’t justifiable but Karen explains that it was all a misunderstanding. Flavio hopes he doesn’t betray her again and if Paulina does, he hopes she won’t forgive her again. They make a date to go dancing later.

Gonzalo is having a fit in his office. He doesn’t permit anyone to blackmail him least of all his daughter.

Leonel is massaging Nuria’s back and tells her to calm down. She’s stressed about the fact that her dad didn’t give in to her demands. Leonel tells her she was successful though because her dad won’t risk her mom knowing about the affair; she’s now in control.

In the ambulance, Paulina begs Ines to wake up. She then tells the medics that she suffers from high blood pressure. The medics tell Ines has suffered a heart attack and they have to wait for the cardiologist to confirm if she’s going to pull through.

Gisela shows Jaime his new office and tells her she’s been dating Dario. He loves his office but tells her that he’s shocked she’s going out with Dario. Gisela tells him that since she moved to Playa Linda she has decided to be happy and change her attitude about life. He’s happy that she’s found someone and especially with Dario, who’s a great person.

Odette apologizes to Adrian for meddling. He accepts but doesn’t want her to do it again. She invites him to an event to solidify her apology and asks he take her on a tour around Puerto Esperanza before they leave to Spain. He agrees.

Julieta remembers her father making her promise to always take care of Adrian. She promises she will but asks what’s wrong but he doesn’t say. She hates him because he left her all alone. He left her and Adrian alone.

Alan tells Monica that him and Rene won’t be mad at her anymore. Rene agrees because he will get the Murat hotels when they’re older. Monica is surprised at the news. Just then, Elisa comes in and asks to speak to Monica.

The phone rings in Gonzalo’s office but he doesn’t answer. Nancy rushes outside the door and tells her Ines in the hospital. Nuria hears everything and they leave with Leonel in tow.

Elisa confesses to Monica that he told Ines everything but fears that what Gonzalo said about Ines’ health was true because she fainted as soon as she heard the news. Monica is furious at her admission. Elisa then tells her she doesn’t know if Ines is dead or alive.

Micaela lights a candle for Ines. Mauricio rushes in and they put on a smile for him. Micaela is glad he doesn’t know what happened but Chelo says he feels everything and knows something is wrong. Beto distracts him with soccer and Chelo tells Micaela she is definitely doing a cleanse now.

At the hospital, Ines goes into the OR and Paulina stays in the waiting room.

Monica tells Elisa she called Gonzalo’s office but no one answered; she doesn’t dare call his house. Elisa offers to call instead but Monica calls and pretends to be her friend. Chelo answers and tells that Ines is in the hospital. Monica hangs up and Micaela chides Chelo for telling everything to strangers.

In the waiting room, the Fonsecas arrive and Paulina asks them if her father knows what happened but they’re not sure. Paulina tells them that Ines found out about Gonzalo’s other family and that Elisa told her everything.

Chelo feels bad about giving complete strangers private information about Ines and Beto consoles her.

In the waiting room, Karen thanks Flavio for bringing her to the hospital and then he leaves; they leave their date for later. At that moment, Nuria and Gonzalo come in and ask what happened. Paulina chides Nuria for provoking Elisa into telling her mom everything. Gonzalo looks at Nuria with hate in his eyes and goes to slap her but Alfonso stops him. He forbids her to hit his daughter like he hit Ines.

Paulina immediately demands to know if this is true but Gonzalo doesn’t admit he hit Ines. Paulina wants to know why he did it and Raquel tells her that Nuria told him that her mom was supporting her secret wedding. Paulina holds Gonzalo responsible for everything and Nuria as well. She demands he leave but he won’t. Paulina drops it for now but warns him that she will blame him for everything should Ines die.

Monica demands Elisa admit her fault in Ines’ health issues because she never wished for Ines to die. Elisa shakes off all responsibility so Monica tells her she should move out because she’s tired of her judgments and meddling. Elisa argues that she was only trying to help but Monica doesn’t care, she wants her out tomorrow morning.

Gonzalo tells Paulina that he mom will get better but Paulina knows she won’t. What he did was unforgiveable: He hit her and had an affair. Nuria agrees with her. The doctor comes in and tells them Ines is in grave danger.

Elisa can’t believe Monica has kicked her out. Rene and Alan walk in and plead for her but Monica tells them Elisa has put someone in the hospital and it’s not okay. She tells them they will be better off without her but they will be able to see her regularly.

The doctor explains to everyone that Ines’ improvement will depend on her will to live and her love for them and them for her. She has a condition* that means that she has shallow veins and must avoid stress in order to control her blood pressure. He then tells them that she was lucky because she could’ve died but they’ll know more in 12 hours. When he leaves, Paulina faints as well. Karen and Camilo go to help her.

Mauricio walks into Ines’ and Gonzalo’s room and cries while hugging the family portrait. Chelo walks in to console him and tells them everyone will be back soon; everything will be fine. He lies on their bed and hugs the picture some more. Chelo lets him sleep there for the night.

Odette pulls Adrian onto the dance floor. They are having some trouble finding any sort of rhythm though.

Dario and Gisela are on a date. He compliments her lips and then they kiss. He then asks her to go steady with him but, before she can answer, Jaime comes and ruins the moment by loudly ordering tequila and asking about work. Dario and Gisela are annoyed.

Paulina starts waking up slowly. Raquel tells her that the impression of the moment got to her. She then leaves with Karen leave to buy Paulina some food. When they’ve gone, Camilo tells Paulina that she needs to be careful because of her pregnancy. Paulina wonders how she’ll tell her mom about the pregnancy now, with all that’s happened.

In the hallway, Raquel tells Karen it’s great that Paulina has Camilo now. She hopes that Paulina will fall in love again with Camilo in time. Karen is not too happy about that but doesn’t say anything.

Jaime tells Dario and Gisela that Julieta is agreeing to therapy. Gisela is happy to hear the news. Jaime then decides to leave for the night and Dario gives him the keys to his house. As he walks away, he wonders why it bothers him to see Gisela and Dario together.

Odette tells Adrian that he’s going to need to learn how to dance because they’ll dance a lot in Europe. She hopes to convince him to learn how to dance…and a lot more.

Leonel tells Nuria that he’s shocked Elisa confessed everything. Just then, Paulina comes and asks how Nuria found out about the affair. Nuria tells Paulina and Camilo that she heard her dad talking with Alfonso about the inheritance and his kids this morning, outside of Gonzalo’s office. Paulina tells her she would give all the money in the world to see Ines better but Nuria tells her that all she wants is the inheritance. Camilo then asks Nuria if she was alone when she heard the conversation in Gonzalo’s office. She says yes. Camilo remembers when he saw Leonel outside Gonzalo’s office hearing everything sans Nuria.

Outside the hospital, Gonzalo confesses to Alfonso that he loves Ines more than he thought possible. It hurts him to know he might not see her again; it leaves him gasping for air. Alfonso tells him to think about what he’ll do when she gets better. Gonzalo is afraid she’ll never want to see him even if she does but Alfonso tells him that that’s the price he will have to pay for his affair. Gonzalo tells him he’ll do everything to have her trust and love again.

In intensive care, Ines is breathing steady. A nurse hands the doctor her chart and he’s shocked to see what’s on it….

*Full disclosure, I didn’t really understand the doctor’s explanation about Ines’ disease so if anyone can shed some light on it, that’d be great! :)

Thank you, Alfie!! I love how the whole truth about Gonzo (minus his crimes) came out to everyone, and Nuria's role in egging on the bad stuff that happened to Inez. Also love that Nuria's little plan to control the Gonz backfired.

I wish that Paulina wouldn't let Camilo keep pawing her, and jumping in to comfort her when that should be Karen's place-- given what she knows about his feelings for her, and Karen's feelings for Camilo. She's encouraging Camilo's hopes of having a relationship with her, while provoking Karen's jealousy and sense of betrayal. And Flavio is just waiting to pounce and keep Karen all to himself on his yatch in the middle of the ocean or something.

I really hope Inez pulls through, but things don't look good. Someone call cute doctor Gaston! Maybe he can give her the will to live.

Adrian should be seeing so many red flags with Odette's behavior after dealing with his clingy controlling sister for so long. I don't understand why he's not running from her.

Gracias, Alfie!

Elisa was some cold vitch for what she did. My jaw hit the floor when she asked Paulina whether Ines was dead, then bolted out of there.

At least Camilo has something to hold over Nuria and Leonel's heads.

As wrong as Gonzalo has been he still has the right to bequeath his dinero as he pleases. There is obviously more than enough to go around, so Nuria is being a selfish vitch to demand it all. She clearly wants to be The Boss without having to do any actual work to earn that, so it would be totally suitable if Rene and Alan become MBAs and take over the hotel. I'm guessing we'll have a time jump to that in the middle of the series.

Odette is becoming more odious every time. However, love her hairstyle.

Oh, goody goody! I want to thank you even before reading this, Superalfie! Yesterday's show was DYNOMITE!! I love the pace of this thing! I love that cats are being dragged out of bags and baddies are getting exposed so early! This is just bliss.

Okay, thanks again Superalfie, be back after I read your wonderful recap!

Lila

That was great, thanks, Superalfie!

I rewound the part about Inez's heart several times but couldn't catch it. It sounds like he said she has "cardiomyopathy" which "is a group of diseases that affect the heart muscle.[1] Early on there may be few or no symptoms. Others may have shortness of breath, feel tired, or have swelling of the legs due to heart failure. An irregular heart beat may occur as well as fainting.[2] Those affected are at an increased risk sudden cardiac death.[3]" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cardiomyopathy

Yaay for Monica sticking to her guns on insisting her Mom move out. You know what? I wouldn't be surprised if it was her Mom who encouraged her to use the first pregnancy as leverage to pry Gonzo away from Inez, maybe even encouraging her to seal the deal with a second pregnancy. Not excusing Monica AT ALL but I can hear that vengeful, vicarious gold-digging Elise saying such a thing.

Could Leonel have been more bored during the revelation of the gravity of Inez's illness and Paulina's fainting? Paulina needs to get her heart checked as well: the fainting may not be all pregnancy related.

Odette annoys the HELL out of me! Adrian needs to realize that Odette is only a Julietta he can legally/morally screw. I WILL NOT feel sorry for him if she gets her hooks into him. Wake up, dummy!

Jaime, don't EVEN try to spoil Gisela's chance for happiness! Dario is really crazy about her as you are just merely crazy. I hope they don't break Dario's heart by making Jaime and Gisela end game after nut-job Julietta is out of the picture by whatever means that is!

Dang! This show is grrrreat!

Thank you, Alfredo! Loved the eventful episode and your retelling sure did it justice! Great job!

OK, where to begin? Urban, ever since I saw the episode, I was impatient to come here and ask if anybody else caught Elisa asking "Did she die?" when Inés hit the floor. My reaction was different to yours, I chuckled out loud at the way Elisa said it. I thought it was a great moment of (unintentional?) dark comedy. We have different assessments of Elisa. Or perhaps I tend to cut her more slack because, as meddlesome and manipulative as she is, she tends to speak the truth when it comes to The Gonz. I personally thought that her going to talk to Inés was ill-advised but it was a reaction to Nuria's attack on her daughter. Nuria even threatened to harm René and Alan! A dangerous line had been crossed and my understanding in that this is what prompted Elisa to do what she did. Now that her daughter kicked her out of the house, it would be interesting to see how much of Elisa's behavior is motivated by a need to protect her daughter and grandchildren and how much of it is motivated by her own interests.

I totally agree with your assessment of Nuria. Her desire to monopolize everything, the money, the attention, the prestige, the company, is sickly and perverted selfishness. I think there is also a degree of delusion (and perhaps even narcissism?) in there. How on earth does she think she has what it takes to be The Boss? What has she ever learnt, experienced and/or achieved to give her that impression? Crazy selfish vitch, indeed!

Vivi, when it comes to Paulina's and Adrián's interactions with their respective orbiters, I believe you are right on both counts. I too dislike the way Paulina is readily leading Camilo on and allowing a physical closeness that is subject to interpretation. I personally think she still has feelings for Camilo but does not want to accept it. She is acting as if she were already his girlfriend. There is a level of intimacy between them that suggests to the casual observer that the two of them are more than friends.

As for Adrián, dealing with clingy crazies most of his life should make him run as far away as possible from Odious Odette. That woman has Bunnyboiler written all over her! A while back, before Pau ditched him on their wedding day, I said that Adrián should not be telling a complete stranger his personal business, especially when that stranger is always fawning over him and devouring him with her eyes. Had he kept his mouth shut back then, Odette would never have told Julieta about the wedding or helped her sabotage it.

Hola, Lila! Hope you're well.

Thanks again, Alfredo and everyone! Good day, all! :)

Nandicta, Televisa used to be great at gallows humor, but that was always at the villains' expense. That Elisa is such a gold-digger is obvious, but she may definitely have been hoping to cause Ines' untimely death by continuing to shout about this after Ines asked her to stop. She saw her getting short of breath.

I can't say whether the pregnancy entrapment attempt was her idea or not. While she is a major metiche I can't imagine her even suggesting that Monica take that kind of a risk, especially twice. Monica is a beautiful woman who could have gotten a rich single man. She had to have been meeting some of them when she was Gonzalo's secretary.

New villana category: Predatory Secretary. We're seeing quite of a few of them lately.

I completely agree about Odette. Adrian is not watching out because thanks to Julieta and their situation he has poor boundaries. He was attempting to correct this when he ran into Odette and Julieta yanked his chain again.

Nandicta: I had a bad feeling something horrible was going to happen to Ines.

Elisa needs her anvil NOW Expletive it!

UA: Looks like the Body Count will be epic bigger.

Thanks for the recap!

I agree with what others have said about Paulina. For someone who claims that she doesn't want Camilo romantically, she sure is acting like she does. I feel bad for Karen and Flavio is definitely not making her jealousy any better.

I used to simply find Elisa as kind of an asshole and really entertaining, but after what she did to Ines...the witch is evil! I know that what Nuria threatened was awful, but that doesn't give Elisa an excuse to come for Ines as if she were the perpetrator. I really think that she was trying to provoke an attack. That is unforgivable. I'm glad that Monica is kicking her out. But you know she will use those kids any way she can.

Alfoe, thank you for the wonderful recap! I hate Elisa! What is her end game? Did she hope that by outing Gonzalo and ending his marriage he would have no option but to move on with Monica? I'm 100% sure that Gonzalo is going to get revenge on her, just as I'm sure that she will use the power of attorney to steal the house out from under Monica. Also, what accent does the actress have? It drives me nuts!

I accidently posted this on yesterday's recap, so here it is again:

I'm with Nandicta on Elisa (even though I still can't get Uni on the tv or internet- so thanks for all the recaps until I can get caught up). Elisa may have crossed a personal boundary by butting into her daughter's affair (literally). But her reasoning is that she's done seeing her daughter be this guys doormat and watching how it negatively affects the boys. Given that Gonzo is such a liar, it makes sense to assume he's lying about Ines' health as well. Her intentions aren't nefarious, unlike Nuria and Odette. Not sure what was up with her selling the house, but I'll give her the benefit of the doubt for now.

There aren't too many secrets left (Gonzo getting Adrian arrested and defrauding Adrian's father, all the pregnancies). Now what?

Kelly

ps. Does Hulu have all these Uni and Telemundo shows on the day they air?

Good recap alfredo. When I saw that dr. Talkin to the other, I'm thinkin she needs a new heart, but its something else?

Odette and adrian will never be in sync. Not
Just dancing but nothing else either. I don't
Like her, shes sneaky. And he can't get pauls
Our of his heart or head. Goin to spain wint
Change that. The heart wants who it wants.

I can't see inez forgiving that pompus jacka$$. Becides hes got other problems. He just craped all over his two families. Jerk!!!!
Being blackmailed by one daughter and despised by the other and his sons can't stand him either. What a legecy hes leaving.

You know what, she is his doormat, but she put herself in that position. She knew he was married. Nothing good comes out of cheating. She should have cut her loses, got
Out of that mess. It would have been good If she had done that before she had babies for that jerk. Bad decisions sometimes have deadly consequences, (Inez).

Thank you all for your visit and insight into this (increasingly must see tv) story.

I loved the scene at the hospital for how easily the secrets were revealed. They flowed so easily and organically. It reminded me of revelations in YNCELH…someone mentions something that one person doesn't know and they they offer another piece of information. So exciting.

I'm also glad Monica told Elisa to take a hike. This was definitely the last straw for her but her grasp on her kids and now her house will create even more problems for her.

I hope Ines pulls through especially because I want her to take Gonzalo to the cleaners. She deserves her own brand of justice.

As far as Paulina, I think she's clinging to someone she knows she can trust, she's proven she trusts Camilo more than Adrian and Karen, but it's going to backfire unless the writers are planning a Camilo/Paulina reunion. If this happens, I hope it's reciprocated and Paulina gives him a legit chance.

As for Karen, girl, Flavio is tipping the clingy scale. If he and Odette would meet they'd make the perfect couple…I've never seen people get so obsessed so quickly.

I wonder if there's more to the story of Joaquin Olmedo than we were led to believe. Dare I say a suicide that was a murder or accidental murder on Julieta's part? I doubt they'd print it up if they weren't going to get to the bottom of it.

Alfie, I"m so late to this party but what a great recap! So much action in this ep! Elisa is one cold biatch! I really think she wanted Ines to die right there on the spot and when she asked it confirmed it.

I still loathe Monica but she'll gain some respect from me if she actually sticks to her guns about dumping her mom out on the street.

Nuria...ugh! Her anvil has to be big.

Odioette is such a clingy twit.
