Enamorandome de Ramon #78/79; One gigolo down, Two sexists out, and Three is a crowd.
Univision has combined two episodes, this is the condensed version of episode 78 and 79. If you have seen a longer version of these episodes please feel free to share in your comments.
Outside of Medfer the two burglars that had been casing the area jump over the fence. Ramon notices a car alarm going off at Medfer and goes to investigate. When he gets there he sees flashlights inside and decides to investigate by jumping over the fence, he knocks over a tool and burglars hear, one of them has a gun and comes out to investigate. He sees Ramon and points gun at him. Ramon begins to fight with him and gun goes off.
Antonio finds out about the burglary and takes Diego to Juana so she can watch him, he asks Fabi to go see what was taken while he goes to the police station. At the station Ramon demands his one call and dumb dumb wastes it on Bratty Fab who hangs up on him. They book him and he then convinces a police officer to make a call for him. The call is made to Sofia, who does not hang up and listens to the situation. (Complete opposites)
At station they bring Ramon out and he runs into Antonio, he explains what had happened and Antonio believes him. They take him to go make his declaration and Antonio then gets a call from Fabiola who tells him only some money was taken but Antonio says that is the least important thing now “it turns out that Ramon is the one being held for the burglary”
The police officer tells Antonio that Ramon has to wait until tomorrow to see if the judge will allow bail for Ramon because he still has to answer about the gun. Antonio tells him that it is all a mistake and that he will not allow Ramon to stay in jail then he tells Ramon to just stay calm.
Sofia shows up to see Ramon and tells him that she will help get him out. Fabi then shows up and apologizes for hanging up on him, he replies by saying “the only reason I called you was because I did not remember Don Antonio’s number, after everything that has happened between us I am not going to call you for anything else, you have nothing to do here” “you are right I have nothing to do here” she then leaves.
Next morning Ramon is released thanks to Don Antonio and Maggie, he thanks them and then Don Antonio thanks him for risking himself to protect Medfer.
In prison her cell mate tells Roxy that she will have to get used to all the hard work they make them do. She then asks Roxy why she’s in jail, Roxy explains that a guy used her to check in his bag and it was full of drugs. Her cell mate tells her “you would be surprised to know that there are many dumb women just like you here who were used as mules for drugs.” Roxy then asks her why she’s in, “for murder I killed the man that tried to rape my daughter” The guard comes to get Roxy; the investigator wants to talk to her.
Julio joins the farmers on their picnic expedition.
Roxy is interviewed by the detective who shows her pictures of men who are suspected of using women to do their illegal acts.
Fabi asks to speak to Dalia, “where did you hear that I was pregnant” Fabi tells her that she is not pregnant and that she should fire her for gossiping, “Well fire me if you want”. Fabi tells her to do whatever and Dalia leaves
At the farm the two farmers who want to buy the harvest tell Juana and Andrea that they rather deal with “the man” Julio because he knows about business. Andrea and Juana stand their ground and the farmers are upset because their little plan to deal with the man did not work because Juana and Andrea are strong independent women.
Marta is interviewed by detective; she says she does not know anything about the man.
Porfirio shows up to his doctor’s office that gives him his results and gives him the news that he has Leukemia. Porfirio is floored.
Dalia goes over to Ramso to cry about getting fired from Medfer because she argued with Fabiola. She tells him that she is not pregnant. Does it make a difference that she is not pregnant, no because she is still married. Ramon offers to ask Sofia to give her a job. Goes to see Sofia, and Sofia accepts as long it is what he wants.
Porfirio discusses his diagnosis with the doctor, “how advanced is the cancer?” doctor tells him that there is a chance to fight it with treatment but needs to do further studies.
At the farm the farmers offer Juana and Andrea a really low price for the harvest, and Juana and Andrea tell them no because it’s too low. They leave upset and wonder what they are going to do if Juana and Andrea don’t budge. Julio than shows up and tells them not to worry that he can convince Juana to sell to them, they then say “we knew you were the one to talk to” they exchange cell numbers and are glad to be dealing with “the man” (uggghhhh)
At Medfer Maggie comes to tell Antonio that they are close to winning custody of Diego. Antonio tells her that he does not know what he would do without her. They kiss and he calls her my love.
Juana considers trying to sell directly to the vendors. Julio tries to shoot them down. He is very negative, and Andrea and Jorge tell him why is he being so negative? Jorge says he will help. Julio not happy with these optimists.
Andrea and Juana discuss researching buying a delivery truck. Andrea will search online.
Julio comes home to find Jorge researching market place for their harvest; Mr. Negativity puts all of the excuses possible to put their plan down. Jorge tells him it seems you are upset about the farm. Julio admits he is but it’s her money after all.
Ofelia’s husband comes to see where she is going. He says you are always going out. By the way the travel agency just sent me the invoice for your trip, but there must be a mistake because they are charging twice what they should be unless you are taking your cousin. “Oh yes I forgot to tell you”
She leaves and then he follows and tells his bodyguards to follow her.
Antonio tells Maggie how Roxy told Diego something to make him think Maggie is the worse person in the world. Maggie then tells him he needs to let her know in person because they will be notifying her soon. Antonio offers her to stay but she won’t because she wants to avoid problems with Diego.
Finito comes to see Luisa with some tortas. He gives her the money for her dress because he wants her to look great at their wedding
Ozzie gets to the hotel room, someone knocks on the door it’s the goons and they give Ossie a beating.
Rulo and are Chava are talking about starting with their old business again. Then they see el Guero and beat him up, Valente shows up and gives Chava one punch and that was enough for Rulo to take off. He helps el Guero up and asks him what is going on. El Guero says that Rulo is upset because he is going out with Dalia. Valente offers to take him to the café where he was meeting Dalia
Porfirio is feeling sorry for himself and says that the only treatment that would make him want to survive is margarita, but she belongs to someone else.
The goons take an unconscious Ossie and drop him at an abandoned area.
Repeated
Scene:
The
cat fight between Sofia and Fabi. Sofia tells her that she should not treat
Ramon like that and Fabi tells her to Butt out. Sofia leaves and then Fabiola
tells Ramon to “disappear from my life”
New
scene:
Sofia
is crying in her office when Ramon comes to tell her that these things should
not happen. “What that you yelled at me or that you are still in love with her?”
He tells her that he wants to give himself an opportunity with her. But she

Francisco’s?” Fabi wonders where she got the idea that she is pregnant. Well
Dalia heard Maggie and Antonio talking about it. Fabi says it is a stupidity.
She is not pregnant.
Ramon
continues to struggle with the burglars, they run away and leave him behind
with the gun and the police show up and arrest him. Antonio finds out about the burglary and takes Diego to Juana so she can watch him, he asks Fabi to go see what was taken while he goes to the police station. At the station Ramon demands his one call and dumb dumb wastes it on Bratty Fab who hangs up on him. They book him and he then convinces a police officer to make a call for him. The call is made to Sofia, who does not hang up and listens to the situation. (Complete opposites)

and Antonio are having breakfast, Diego asks Antonio if he would mind if he
does not want to be a mechanic anymore, because he wants to be a farmer (he is
adorable). Roxy then calls them and Diego picks up the phone. Diego tells Roxy
he misses her and when is she coming back, “Well I would get back sooner if
your dad would help me but he is busy with his girlfriend, ask him to help me”
Diego says he will ask him to help her. She than talks to Antonio, he wants to
know what she said, only that if you don’t get me out I will ask
to have him come visit me in jail.
Maggie
at Hortensia’s bed side asks nurse why she is still being sedated if she is
better. Nurse than texts Francisco to let her know about Maggie asking.
Andrea
tells Jorge that she will need to go help Fabi at the shop because Dalia is
gone. Then Jorge tells her he will start doing some research for the farm and
where to sell their harvest. They kiss, when Ozzie calls Jorge, then they stop.Andrea and Juana discuss researching buying a delivery truck. Andrea will search online.

Julio is not my favorite but one of his sons is dying (Betito) and from what I saw, his second son was beaten to an inch of his miserable life.
So the farmers just want to deal with "the man"? Not quite sure Julio qualifies.Iit was disheartening that such prejudice against women still exists. That said, unless there is some prior knowledge and or experience either Juana or Andrea have had, I'm not quite sure they should be the ones doing the negotiating at this point.

I managed, by hook or crook, to see this one. So thank you for the recap Sandie, as I did not get some of the dialog.
Ramoon has proven that he is actually too stooooopid to be with a business chick like Sophia, and is a better match for the (from Andy) Cute Idiot Fabi. His nuts and brain have somehow been reversed, and he has a cranium full of testosterone producers, and a couple of little acorn-sized brains down there staying warm.
Multiple Choice RamBoy: Your neighbor is being burglarized. First thing you do:
A. Call the Popo and try to get a look/picture of the perps
B. Scale the fence and help them out until the popo get there.
WRONG ANSWER Dummy.
Next lesson: Stop calling Fabi, stop talking to her, and if she bursts into flame, don't piss on her to put it out. She's worthless. Great jeans, but it appears she is only good for one thing.

Do not worry about your actions or character. Just be as cute as possible and wear mini skirts and leather jackets and all your dreams can come true, too.

But rather SuperMarg...amazing lawyer by day, defender of the weak, and devoted daughter while being super sexy , super understanding supportive friend\liver offering friendly benefits by night. Being asked to get your lover's nasty ex-wife who hates you out of jail is going above and beyond the call of duty. And, she seems to be the only family member to know (care?) That something is not quite right about Dr. Fran's treatment of mom. By the way, not many family members have been checking in on mom, have they? I used to go to my mother's home every day when she was older.

Poor Porfi! I hope he gets Margarita in the end. She is blinded by Antonio's good looks but there is no romance there. He needs her because he needs an attorney at every turn and I'm sure he likes sleeping with her but there isn't a lot of emotion involved--from his side.

Diana, I can say I don't feel bad for him because you reap what you sow. I feel bad for Virginia who is in the grave because of his indirect actions, and Betito who he barely saw until now that he's dying (and he still seems more preoccupied with something else), and Jorge who even confessed that he thought Julio didn't love him growing up because hw would pay more attention to Osvaldo. I don't feel bad for Osvaldo, who preferred to trry and get easy money because Julio's babying only got him a pissy attitude and poor work ethic.
I will add Andrea and Juana to your strong woman list, Susanlynn. They are making a go at it and pushing forward and sexists farmers be damned.
As for Hortensia, I think she's also reaping what she sowed. She pushed her family away with her attitude and behavior and showed them nothing but contempt even when she needed them. It's the same as Roxana, you can't expect everyone to help you just cause you are you and she should kiss the ground Antonio and Margarita walk on as they are helping her despite everything.
Fabiola is now, not only a brat, but a dumb troublemaker. At least she believed Ramon was innocent this time...progress?
Kirby, Ramon's solid heart is going to get him hurt one day. Either way, he needs a cleanse or something because he is a trouble magnet.
The problem is this novela is filled with people that see other people as their way to happiness and fulfillment. No, it is not that way. Porfirio...Margarita won't may things better. Ramon...Fabiola is not the end of the line. Sofia...Ramon is not your prize for your suffering. THe sooner they learn to be alone, the sooner than can be with someone else.
I will give this show something positive: it dropped Veronica, Susana, Pedro and Emilia as soon as their storylines were up. No reason to drag things out.

I will give this show something positive: it dropped Veronica, Susana, Pedro and Emilia as soon as their storylines were up. No reason to drag things out.

As for the sexist farmers...most of the Future Farmers of America are not sexist because all hands are needed to run a farm ...picking corn, potatoes, apples, milking cows, feeding chickens. They cannot afford to be sexist. Lots of farm wives are the ones taking of the farm accounts. Maybe Juana and Andrea will succeed in their venture. No gambling cash for Julio..boo hoo.

I was already suspicious that Porfi had leukemia ever since the first bloody nose. When he went to the doctor finally, he had bruising on his abdomen and that seems to be telltale signs. My cousin died of the disease.
I was very glad to see the display of strong women in this episode, especially with Andrea and Juana. But also how much the men disrespected them because they were women. I noticed they wanted to only deal with Julio because they thought he was the "man in charge" and made it obvious they did not want to deal with such "inferior" women.
As for Fabiola, she is an idiot. I've never seen such childishness in a leading lady. She has no sense whatsoever and every reaction of hers is knee-jerk.
As for Os, do you think he is dead? Or is he just beat up so badly he is left for almost dead?

Well, if the price of tea in China is going up, then the writer's were probably pissed because they didn't have enough money to buy their tea, refused to write so they used Mike's breakin script.

As for the nurse, I really don't think she has decided to help Francisco kill Hortensia. He sort of weaseled out it when he told her that he just wanted to keep Hortensia 'sedated' until he could get Fabiola's money (and then presumably divorce her since she has not been delivering on her wifely 'duties'.) The nurse seemed to go along with the plan but she knows enough about the meds that if Francisco's dosage were given consistently, it would cause Hortensia to have a heart attack. I think Francisco wants Hortensia dead so she doesn't spill the beans about his plan to get Fab's dinero. If he doesn't want her dead, then he needs to stop giving her the level of meds he's prescribing. I find it odd that Margarita is the only one who has shown up recently at the bedside to ask why her mother is still being sedated. The rest of the crew is out at the farm; I guess they really could care less about Hortensia's health given she is such a witch. Hope Francisco gets caught before he does Hortensia in.

Comcast will make it transparent for their customers. The cable companies assign their own channel numbers anyway, so the cable subscribers will not see any change.
But for people like me who use an antenna it is a major fork up, as My antenna was not pointed to receive the old UniMas station. So I had to do some ying yanging to get it. And as it was not one of my stations I normally get, my TVs did not recognize it as a real station and would not tune to it.
So I had to get a better antenna amplifier and rescan for stations. Arrrrgh.
But I get Univision, and UniMas both now. Yipee, right?
