Sueño de amor, Ep. 90 (7.21.16) The truth about lies is that they're always temporary and end up messing everything to the worse.

Abril is in bed with 40
April has 40.5°C fever and Cristina Vélez Valderrama, the firewoman of sex education, calls the only person that can help her: The doctor? Noooo! Ricardo! Who else? That way when he comes to help her, he can spend the night! CVV doesn't jump without a sandal (no la brinca sin huarache).

Since he raised two kids and has his share on kids ailments, the middleman recommends to fill the bath tub with warm water and put the girl in it. While he is on the cell phone with her, he calls Dr Camargo on his land line.
A few moments later, fever has lowered to 36.5°C thanks to Ricardo, so there's no need to take the girl to the hospital and another more reason to owe Richerd the girl's life. then we can start all over again, how can I repay you, I don't know, I have an idea, you know... the same old routine these two have.
Once the girl is out of danger, Ricardo has a very sexy flashback in full color in advance for what's coming!

Yago, #39, Wednesday 7/20/16: The Pliers of Despair

Tomas Vargas's adopted son Hernan tells us in a flashback that he doesn't know what it's like to feel the pain of being weak. Tomas Vargas adopts a boy named Hernan. The director of the orphanage (or whatever) warns Tom that Hernan is a troubled child. (We see him playing with a knife.) Our narrator reminds us that, alas, that pain can be helpful because it tells us when it's time to run away.

Still in the flashback, Tom tells Hernan that if he's good, he'll get a treat. Today Tom is going to teach him to shoot! In another flashback when Hernan is a few years older, Hernan is dragging corpses into the horse stables for his proud adoptive daddy.

Lucio visits at Abel's house and presents him with some of the evidence that Camilo gave him at the end of the previous episode. We don't see any of it now, but later we see that there are photos of Teo working with Yago. Abel is shocked and angry. Lucio explains that Yago and Teo both work for Fidel. Abel is even more upset to hear that Yago is now engaged to Ambar!

Camilo and Fidel are still facing off at the former Candy Bar. Fidel gloats. Julia is disgusted with all of them, and runs out. Yago follows to comfort her. (Hmm, I wonder if these two might have a future together?) Camilo shows Fidel the lucky coin and says he'll get it back in the next cadaver, and it will be even more devastating than the loss of his two sons. Camilo dares Fidel to shoot him now and show Julia what kind of man he really is. Selma talks Fidel out of it.

Tres Veces Ana #42 - Run into, then run away!

We pick back up with Ana Lu being dragged away by a hysterical Sole. Ana Lu is incredulous – how could Sole have humiliated her like that, and in front of all her friends. Suddenly Evaristo appears out of thin air and scares even Sole. Without skipping a beat though, she asks him for a ride home. He seems to have become such a ubiquitous figure not only to us, because even Ana Lu is not surprised to see him there. He does reveal having known that Ana Lu belongs to Danzaire, and Sole is upset. She still wants that ride though.

Sueño de amor #89 Wednesday 7/20/16

So they didn't wait until the last commercial break on  Friday to tell us of the time change on Monday to 3:00 ET/2:00 CT.

Anyway, we left off with a tearful Pato praying to God and begging her dead angel of a grandmother to intercede on her mother's behalf.

Luca and Ricardo arrive at Esperanza's house to take Pato and Esperanza out to dinner. Pato tries to give them a heads up about her mother's decision to shave her head, but Esperanza comes out before she can so they can see with their own eyes. Ernesto tells her how beautiful she looks. She scoffs at that but he tells her it is the absolute truth. Even Luca tells here how good she looks. Esperanza laughingly says she will accept that because he is her daughter's love and she will accept Ernesto's compliment because he says he loves her. After all of the compliments, Esperanza decides it is time to go. They are all smiling.

Back at the hotel, Cristina and Ricardo are planning on spending another night together in Cuernavaca. Ricardo is pouring champagne as he asks the Dr.(of pedagogy Cristina) if she is hungry. Yes, she is. He offers her fruit and champagne. There are strawberries and grapes. What does she want? She chooses the grapes which of course he feeds to her. That does not last long before they are kissing and sharing the same grapes.

Yago #38. Tuesday July 19, 2016. Life Can Turn On A Dime And Lady Luck Is A Fickle Mistress

You like plants? I like plants! You like stealing? I like stealing! You like snatching other people's kids? I like snatching other people's kids! We should totally hang!

Hello Patio Pals! We’ll have to make do with a summary until a volunteer takes over this recapping spot.

Flashback. Abel thinks back to Omar’s funeral. “Through my fault, through my fault, through my most grievous fault... It’s my fault that Omar is six feet under, that Melina and Jonás lost their son and that Bruno lost his brother”. Abel is visibly twitchy. Lucio leans in and whispers a warning in his ear: “I know what’s going through your head. Don’t you dare!”

Un Camino Hacia el Destino-Week 22 (July 18, 2016) 2nd Half

Some things are heating up on the Camino, some things are cooling down, some folks are happy, some folks aren’t. Isn’t this just like the real world?

Don Fernando (QEPD) has walked out of the confines of his malady along the train tracks to heaven. (He’s in a better place now where he doesn’t have to hear the people around him squabbling over his fortune and he knows who he is.) There is a casual dress funeral.

Sueño de Amor (SdA) #88. Tuesday July 19, 2016. Bye-Bye, Mein Lieber Hair! Farewell, Mein Lieber Hair! :(

I can't believe I gave up carbs and quit Azteca for this $h*te!
At a glance

-- A sad sad episode! Pox on Osorio to the hundredth power!

A closer look

Esperanza is at the hospital for another chemo session. That condescending video of perfectly healthy young models telling cancer patients how to feel, is still playing on a loop. A nurse escorts Raquel in. She asks where is Esperanza’s handsome hubby. “He’s not my husband”, corrects Espe. He’s the most gorgeous man that Raquel has ever seen. Esperanza admits that Ernesto is very good-looking and 99.9% of viewers nod in agreement. Raquel enquires whether Esperanza has experienced any of chemo’s side effects on her body, skin and hair. Esperanza tries to change the subject but Raquel says it is best to face these things now.

The boys leave the office laughing. Present time, Abel contemplates the plaque and ruminates: “Omar was the brother I never had, my accomplice, my friend. I sacrificed him to have a future. A future that never came. I didn’t realize that without Omar, there was no future.”

Sueño de Amor (SdA) #87. Monday July 18, 2016. Absurd And Absurder With A Gillette Commercial Thrown In For Good Measure!

The love scene we'll never get to see from the real protagonist couple of this novela, which Osorio ruined before they even got a chance to get together. Pox on you, Juabbly Juan!

Hello Patio Pals! Since I'll be providing a detailed recap for Tuesday's episode, this here is a summary of what went on in Sueñolandia last night.

Ricardo formally asks Cristina Vélez Valderrama (CVV) to be his novia. Selena and Rodrigo formally ask Abril Sousa Vélez (ASV) to be their little sister. Like father like children! Esperanza, Pato Cuac and Pedro stopped existing for them in the space of two months. They're just like daddy, Mr. The Fast and the Furious!

Tres Veces Ana # 40 - Drumroll....and....curtain!

Before we dive into the recap, and since we have been getting some questions in the comments and interest from potential recappers, I wanted to put this up here. We would absolutely love (not to say need and be very grateful for) some additional recappers for TVA! If you think you would like to give it a go, please send me an email! There are at least two nights right now that Sneaky and I would appreciate help with and you can probably even have your pick of which ones. This is an awesome crowd - just read all the comments, and an absolute joy to be recapping here!

With that out of the way....we are getting close to the opening night of the Danzaire show and at Danzaire HQ everybody is preparing for it!

During her break Ana Lu sits down with Javier and they talk about both of them being nervous. It’s Ana Lu’s first time with the group, but Javier has been doing it his whole life, and experience doesn’t really cure nerves. Ana Lu tells Javier she met Inaki and really liked him and then gushes about Tadeo, who helped her out multiple times and said such wonderful things to her. She inadvertently interprets Tadeo’s words on losing his wife to mean that Javier’s and Inaki’s mother is dead. Javier is surprised his father would say that, and Ana Lu corrects herself realizing she made a mistake. She feels bad and asks about the mother. The mother has left them when both kids were small.

Sueno de Amor, #86 Everybody loves somebody, but not everybody is loved by somebody...

I'll keep this short and to the point, you're all welcome to add anything that I might have forgotten in the comments, since this won't be your usual scene by scene recap.
Pablo, I left you a message in the first comment.

First, a little recap of our main characters and what they've been up to.
We're at Margarita, Felix, Viviana and Mario's wedding. Nothing like a double wedding to keep the judge confused about the names of the wedding party. The poor woman almost had Mario and Felix get married because she wasn't quite up to date with the couples.
If the judge has problems figuring out who is marrying who, then it's a relief she's not aware of what is going on with the wedding guests. That would really give her a headache.
For starters, we have the Pato-Luca-Erasmo-Kristel-Pedro-Aranza circle of terminally confused love. Who loves who and why and since when has become quite a chore to remember right now, so let's just say that everyone is mostly miserable. Yes, PatoLuca are reconciled today, but it's only mid-afternoon, so much can still happen before night fall.
There is also the Estrella-Adrian-Salma-Kiko slightly incestuous story: Estrella is Kiko's sister and Salma's nemesis from school, Kiko loves Salma, Adrian and Estrella love each other and Salma started to love her baby after seeing the ultrasound, so much so that she's even thinking about keeping the child after birth. Would Adrian be up to the challenge of raising a child with his abuser? Gulp.

Everyone still with me? OK!

Yago #36. Thursday July 14, 2016. Faceoffs And Fireworks, Regrets And Waterworks

Sobbing in scarlet is the way to suffer.

At a glance

-- The ratchet drama of the Sara-Yago-Ámbar love-hate-revenge hexagon is in full swing.
-- Abel seeks atonement across the border.
-- Julia doubts the veracity of the revelation about her origin.
-- The Avengers squad have a new plan to expose Camilo.
-- Camilo abducts Selma and makes her an offer she can’t refuse. She goes ahead and refuses it anyway.

A closer look

Flashback. Sara muses over happy endings and reminisces about happier times. Much younger versions of her and Ámbar are shown eating ice-cream and people-watching in the park. Sara used to believe in happily-ever-after. She used to think that her life would be like a romantic movie where she would meet the perfect man and share a blissful existence with him. Instead, Sara was condemned to a different life altogether. She recalls that time when the pigeon she tried to scam ended up beating and raping her. “Maybe love does exist. Maybe happy endings are real. Just not for me.”

Un Camino Hacia el Destino-Week 22 (Jul 18, 2016) 1st Half

Apologies for not attending to Caray Camino business. I didn’t get a new page up for the second half of the week, but we were unceremoniously dumped for a Univision spectacular—as though Un Camino isn’t spectacular enough. It was enough to confuse me. This new page will serve until this coming mid-week.

Now, where were we? Some of us are feeling more sympathy for Amelia, some much less sympathy for Pedro, none for Luis, sorry Alicia was dragged into his malfeasance, happy that Little Pedrito has two parents to play with, worried about Javier’s intentions, expect Camila to become a street kid, cautious regarding Marissa’s health and state of mind and seriously concerned about Don Fernando’s most recent crisis, but mostly we wonder what will IzzaFreeza do next. Seriously, it’s about time she got a new “luke,” everyone else has.

Yago, #35, Wednesday 7/13/16: The bride wore white... I mean red... I mean white

Yago has a flashback:

Everyone loves a happy ending. In classic movies, the happy ending always begins with a question: "will you marry me?" Yago remembers how he, as Omar, was practicing that big question in front of a mirror when, to his horror, he realized that the ring was missing. Bruno had taken it. Omar reassures the boy that, while marrying Sara will make Omar very happy, Omar wants Bruno to be happy as well. This satisfies Bruno, and he gives the ring back.

In the present, Sara tells Yago that even though she loved Omar, she framed him for the casino heist anyway. "Do you still want to marry me?" She has tears in her eyes; not tears of shame, but tears of terror that this awesomely rich hot guy will reject her.

Yago tells us: I don't believe in happy endings, much less "forever." I know those are the things of fairy tales, and in most cases looks are deceiving. There are princesses who, deep down, are worse than dragons.

Sara's too desperate to wait for Yago's thought-bubbles. She prompts him for a reply. She offers to explain why she betrayed Omar. She didn't do it for the money, as Yago thinks. "I won't justify myself," she begins... and then she proceeds to justify herself.
